So happy to find a place in SWFL that sells Korean fried chicken! I dined in with my husband and the service was quick and the food came out fast and hot. You can tell by the taste that everything is made fresh and with love. Calamari and fries were both light and crispy. The Korean fried chicken was so hot and crispy and the sauce was delicious. I got a cupbop bowl, usually I see cupbop as a small serving elsewhere but here it's a full meal. Only thing that could have made it better is if they served it in hot stone bowls. I really enjoyed an amazing lunch here. It was not exactly the same as "real" Korean Fried Chicken ... but it was extremely well executed and altered for American tastes. Don't let the strip mall atmosphere or this part of town scare you away from this hidden gem. We wanted something different & preferably small business vs big chain while we were on vacation in Bonita Springs. The owner was very inviting and explained the different menu items that we weren't familiar with and the different spice level (flavor & heat). Our kiddos enjoyed Boba Tea and the Korean Potato Corn Dog & Fried Mozzarella on a stick. We settled on the Soy Garlic Spring Onion and what a treat. At other wing places I typically ask for double fried to get extra crispy, but to my surprise, that's the way these came. Freaking outstanding flavor, great balance of sweet, sticky, and just a hint of spice/heat. We also tried the Cheong Yang Wings and they got devoured as well. Our kiddos even swiped a few wings to try. We also tried the Korean Seafood Pancake (Haemul Pajeon), which my family agreed was better than HMart in Orlando. When I think about Fried Chicken, my natural reaction is Southern Fried or Kentucky Fried Chicken. My recent visit to KoKo Chicken 92 changed my perception completely. KoKo Chicken 92 is known for its Korean Fried Chicken in Fort Myers. It is a simple place or hole in the wall where they serve crispy, crunchy fried chicken. The Fried Chicken recipes were introduced to South Korea during the Korean War by the Afro-American soldiers. They improved with sauces and it is a popular Korean dish! KoKo Chicken 92 is on my radar screen for some time. Finally, we walked in and ordered a Honey Garlic Wings and a Cupbop or a Korean rice bowl. The Korean rice bowl came with sautéed beef with stirred fried Kimchee, cellophane noodle, lettuce, pickled radishes with a fried egg over rice. It was tasty, savory and flavorful. The star of the night is their fried chicken. The double fried chicken is crispy, crunchy on the outside, juicy inside. The Honey Garlic sauce complement their wings well. They stacked their wings (8 pieces). Aroma and the Honey Garlic made this finger licking good! I had a large Korean Terra beer. It mixed well with our dishes! This is not an up scale facility! The decoration is simple with Korean music video playing with pictures of fried chickens with different sauces through out the place. Checking out their lunch menu, they have a 5 pieces Wings with French Fries, or Coleslaw, or Rice with a soda for $11.99! What a bargain! A good place for lunch! They have a selection SoJu, beers, cold Sake and drinks. I noticed there were three Lazo, Korean Ramen Machines sitting on the counter. They are planning to serve Korean Ramen in early December, 2025! The staff is welcoming, attentive and friendly. The chicken thigh was still juicy and a little less tender than the regular tenders. Two large refrigerators with soft drinks, beers, wine, soju. On the wall were pictures of fried chicken in different sauces and in the back, Korean music video were playing. We ordered Cupbop, Sweet Beef rice bowl. This cupbop has stirred fried sweet beef with sautéed kimchee, cellophane noodles, lettuce, pickled radish over rice, top with a fried egg. The beef was tasty, and seasoned just right. Also had fried chicken with honey and garlic sauce. The wings were very crispy, and taste the honey and garlic. Have been here twice and am telling everyone. First visit I got the beef cupbop and it was delicious and filling. Second visit hubby and I split dinner specials; one order of honey garlic wings and one order of kanpungki (sweet heat) thighs with fries. Fantastic! Pickled daikon was fresh, fries crispy. But the chicken was moist, tender, super crunchy, and flavorful from whatever sauce you choose. Now when I want chicken I will immediately think of KoKo Chicken! read more

I took one bite and was like... oh this is DANGEROUS. I blacked out after the first bite. By the time I came to, my plate was empty, my fingers were sticky, and I was googling if it's legal to marry chicken in this state. Vacationing in the area and we picked up food to go for our first night. Really enjoyed the flavors of the cheese and soy garlic chicken thigh pieces. I like that they have dark meat without bones. Price as very reasonable, comes with small containers of radish. I believe they are the only legit Korean fried chicken in the area. The sauces and flavors for the chicken as well as the cupbop were delicious. We will definitely be back to try more dishes & flavors. Our favorite was the Cheong Yang chicken tenders . The sauce was like a spicy sweet mayo base- amazing!! Their chicken tenders are large pieces with very flavorful meat. We also tried the soy garlic chicken wings. This is one of the most popular sauces& was good but we liked the Cheong Yang best. The family next to us was eating the spicy garlic chicken and it looked really good. This small place is unassuming and tucked away. It's not fancy inside, but the owners are welcoming and helpful. They offer a nice selection of beers and sodas. My friend and I both enjoyed our fresh salads. My friend tried the potato corn dog and liked it. It was definitely different! We shared the sesame garlic chicken and the lemon spring onion chicken. Today I tried the Red Sweet Onion, Red Hot Pepper Gizzard, and the OG KOREA CORNDOG. It was very lack luster. The chicken was really good and the sauce was really good, the red hot pepper "chicken" gizzard was very rubbery as hard. When I have made chicken gizzard, it usually is tender and soft. It was disappointing but I called to let them know that I didn't eat the gizzard and the younger gentleman that picked up the phone was very monotonous and kind of dismissive. But the owner called back and gave me a refund for the amount of the gizzard which he didn't need to do. My husband and I went there today. Excellent little "hole in the wall" place. The chicken was fantastic-- juicy, fresh, white meat. I got the bowl. Loved it. I felt like I was eating healthy! Am I so glad to have had the experience or depressed that I can't have it again because we don't live here? Well--I got a plate of chicken and between all of us five sauces on the side--red hot, lemon, soy garlic, curry, and #19. I think maybe the lemon was accidentally honey lemon? Or I can't picture how the honey lemon would be, as this one was fairly sweet. It wasn't quite what I had craved but quickly became one of my favorites. The red hot wasn't scary--my nose and eyes weren't running or anything, but it has a long, lingering good heat. LOVED the #19--a flavor not like anything we get to have. Soy garlic also excellent. I personally prefer red or green curries to yellow, so that was one I tried just once but others at the table loved. The only thing I regret was not getting it as drumsticks or wings. I ordered tenders because I am not one to clean the bones and always feel guilty. But bone-in always has a better flavor and crisps up even more, so I think I should have done that for the full experience.) Kimchi, mild heat, no sweetness (which I have had kimchi that is sugary before and do not like)--for my absolute favorite it could have that more vinegary, deeper fermented flavor but maybe that was just because the pickled radish had so much punch it out shone it? I could have eaten a vat of the radish. And the walnut cakes! That was what almost made me cry, to think we have no where near us that have them. The combo of walnut and sweet red bean is amazing.
