Haemul Pajeon (Seafood Pancake), Boba Tea, and Soy Ginger Wings (Yummy!)

Don't let the strip mall atmosphere or this part of town scare you away from this hidden gem. We wanted something different & preferably small business vs big chain while we were on vacation in Bonita Springs. The owner was very inviting and explained the different menu items that we weren't familiar with and the different spice level (flavor & heat). Our kiddos enjoyed Boba Tea and the Korean Potato Corn Dog & Fried Mozzarella on a stick. We settled on the Soy Garlic Spring Onion and what a treat. At other wing places I typically ask for double fried to get extra crispy, but to my surprise, that's the way these came. Freaking outstanding flavor, great balance of sweet, sticky, and just a hint of spice/heat. We also tried the Cheong Yang Wings and they got devoured as well. Our kiddos even swiped a few wings to try. We also tried the Korean Seafood Pancake (Haemul Pajeon), which my family agreed was better than HMart in Orlando. This is going to be one of our must stops when down this way anytime.

When I think about Fried Chicken, my natural reaction is Southern Fried or Kentucky Fried Chicken. My recent visit to KoKo Chicken 92 changed my perception completely. KoKo Chicken 92 is known for its Korean Fried Chicken in Fort Myers. It is a simple place or hole in the wall where they serve crispy, crunchy fried chicken. The Fried Chicken recipes were introduced to South Korea during the Korean War by the Afro-American soldiers. They improved with sauces and it is a popular Korean dish! KoKo Chicken 92 is on my radar screen for some time. Finally, we walked in and ordered a Honey Garlic Wings and a Cupbop or a Korean rice bowl. The Korean rice bowl came with sautéed beef with stirred fried Kimchee, cellophane noodle, lettuce, pickled radishes with a fried egg over rice. It was tasty, savory and flavorful. The star of the night is their fried chicken. The double fried chicken is crispy, crunchy on the outside, juicy inside. The Honey Garlic sauce complement their wings well. They stacked their wings (8 pieces). Aroma and the Honey Garlic made this finger licking good! I had a large Korean Terra beer. It mixed well with our dishes! This is not an up scale facility! The decoration is simple with Korean music video playing with pictures of fried chickens with different sauces through out the place. Checking out their lunch menu, they have a 5 pieces Wings with French Fries, or Coleslaw, or Rice with a soda for $11.99! What a bargain! A good place for lunch! They have a selection SoJu, beers, cold Sake and drinks. I noticed there were three Lazo, Korean Ramen Machines sitting on the counter. They are planning to serve Korean Ramen in early December, 2025! The staff is welcoming, attentive and friendly. To me, now KFC means Korean Fried Chicken instead of Kentucky Fried Chicken!

Went back for a second time with friends and tried some new items. The chicken tender style was our favorite out of the 3 we tried. So tender and juicy ! The wings were huge! The chicken thigh was still juicy and a little less tender than the regular tenders. We tried 3 different sauces curry sweet onion was our favorite out of the 3, but we also got spring onion soy garlic and their kanpungki, also delicious, but something about the curry sweet onion we loved! Pickled radish and kimchi were again out of this world. Service fantastic as always! They have fun kpop music on , such a chill atmosphere. If you are craving fried chicken , it's a must.

Koko Chicken 92 is known for their Korean fried chicken in Fort Myers. Located in Fort Myers in same shopping plaza with Clam Bake on US-41, with plenty of parking. We were seated right away. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu. He answered all our questions with clear and concise explanation. Koko is a casual dinning with bright lights. Two large refrigerators with soft drinks, beers, wine, soju. On the wall were pictures of fried chicken in different sauces and in the back, Korean music video were playing. We ordered Cupbop, Sweet Beef rice bowl. This cupbop has stirred fried sweet beef with sautéed kimchee, cellophane noodles, lettuce, pickled radish over rice, top with a fried egg. The beef was tasty, and seasoned just right. Also had fried chicken with honey and garlic sauce. The wings were very crispy, and taste the honey and garlic. Opted to use gloves to eat the wings, hubby like to use his hands and fingers! He claimed the chicken is finger licking good! It is not a fancy place but the food is good!

I've never tasted tenders that were so fresh and well seasoned. The sauces I had were so amazing. I tried spicy garlic and honey garlic and can't wait to go back to try more.

Okay so nobody warned me the Kanpungki wings at Koko Chicken 92 were gonna hit like THAT First of all, the wings came out lookin' like they were ready for a photoshoot--glossy, saucy, and stacked high. I took one bite and was like... oh this is DANGEROUS. I blacked out after the first bite. By the time I came to, my plate was empty, my fingers were sticky, and I was googling if it's legal to marry chicken in this state. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, coated in this sweet-spicy-sticky sauce that had me licking my fingers and lowkey considering a second order before I even finished the first They were that good. Like "don't talk to me, I'm having a moment with my food" good. Also paired it with a pineapple Ramune and wow... 10/10 no notes. If you're thinking about going--GO. And get the Kanpungki wings. Thank me later

This hidden gem in the Island Park shopping center (close to The Clam Bake) is a fantastic addition to the Fort Myers food scene. The Korean fried chicken is the star, and it is delicious. I've never been to S Korea, but I've had many wonderful meals in New York's Koreatown, and this is right up there with the best. The flavors are amazing, the portions are huge and the prices are fair.

We were so ecstatic to find a Korean fried chicken spot. My friends and I ordered garlic soy fried chicken, cheong yang chicken, bibimbap, japchae, a side of pickled radish, and several soju bottles. It was amazing quality of food and service. Can't wait to try other things on the menu.

Koko chicken is some the tastiest chicken I've ever had in my life! Justin was an amazing server and the overall mood of the place and experience was fantastic. It's a hole in the wall and true gem and I highly recommend you check it out asap!

If you want to try something new and flavorful you've got to check out Koko Chicken 92!!! Food is served hot and the fried chicken is crispy. The sauces and flavors for the chicken as well as the cupbop were delicious. We will definitely be back to try more dishes & flavors. Our favorite was the Cheong Yang chicken tenders . The sauce was like a spicy sweet mayo base- amazing!! Their chicken tenders are large pieces with very flavorful meat. We also tried the soy garlic chicken wings. This is one of the most popular sauces& was good but we liked the Cheong Yang best. The family next to us was eating the spicy garlic chicken and it looked really good. We will definitely try that next time.. I was also very impressed with the spicy beef Cupbop. I also added dumpling topping. Like a ramen & rice bowl only much richer. Ask for Justin, he made excellent suggestions and took his time explaining the menu to us.

The meats were flavorful, and high quality, with a good variety of options to choose from. Everything was cooked perfectly, and I especially appreciated that the staff handled the grilling for us. It made the meal much more relaxing and allowed us to focus on enjoying the food and conversation rather than managing the grill. The banchan complemented the meal nicely, and the overall quality of the food felt consistent throughout the experience. The meats were juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Service was a standout. The staff were attentive, friendly, and regularly checked on the table while expertly grilling the meats to the right doneness. The vibe is modern, upscale, and welcoming, making it a great spot for date nights, family dinners, or special occasions. The restaurant feels polished while still maintaining the fun and social atmosphere that makes Korean BBQ so enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic Korean BBQ experience with excellent service and quality meats. Having the staff grill everything for us really elevated the meal, and I'd definitely return when visiting Fort Myers.

My friend and I each started with the dumpling combo-since the chef's dumplings are famed as the best in NC. We were pleased with all the selections. The veggie dumplings were a bit soft and an odd texture- but wasn't bad-jJust different than what we expected. The star was the fried spicy pork dumplings.
