Got my eyelashes done for the first time! Takes about an hour to get them on if its your first time. They are very patient & explain the types of lashes that are available to you. It's very relaxing. There's classical music playing in the background & they keep you nice & warm with a fleece throw during the session. I almost dozed off 3 times & caught myself. It's painless. I did not feel any discomfort what so ever. I got lashes for everyday wear. They are not exaggerated & feel nice & light. They are appropriate for work. Your eyelids do not feel heavy at all. Disclaimer: This wasn't my first time getting eyelash extensions. Just first time here. I never had allergies to glue. I was able to endure the extensions before. Eyelashes looked great after I finished. But after 2 day, the left eye lashes were really poking my top eyelids and irritating. And the lower eye lid was being rubbed against the extensions every time I blink. And my eye was very bothersome and started to turn red...then lots of discharge. When one lash fell out, I felt it...the lash felt very sharp and hard. I don't know if it's the fake lash or the dried glue but I couldn't take them anymore. I had to remove them. So after 4 days, I am on antibiotics for conjunctivitis, my upper and lower eyelids are sensitive, red and swollen from the sharpness of the fake lashes, and I could barely open my eyes. And NO THIS IS NOT ALLERGIES because it's only to my left eye. read more

You are able to pick the style, type of curl, length, and thickness. I've had eyelash extensions before, so this place definitely makes it more natural looking. Honestly, without looking closely, you can't tell I have extensions. But it's ok... I still really like it. The place is clean, nice, but small. I would come back, but the prices are pretty steep compared to what I'm use to ($130 for full 120 extensions). I prefer the fullness so $130 high to me. They were kind enough to send me an email with another coupon for my touch up, but I've decided to take a break from lash extensions because It just requires maintenance. This was my first time getting eyelash extensions and i was a little hesitant about how it all works but the lady that was at the counter gave me a run down of everything, very informative which i loved. Down to lenght, thickeness and style that they offer, i went for a sexy eyelash and the process was very easy not painful whatsoever. Very clean environment and they even cover you with a blanket so you dont get cold :) It was hard not trying to fall asleep since it was very relaxing plus with spa music on the background. But in the end i was so happy with the results, i didn't want something so dramatic but subltle enough that you can still tell that i have eyelash extensions and thats exactly what she did! Beauteous is a great little shop for eyelash extensions! I had Connie and Sasha did my eyelashes about 3 times so far and I have been super happy each time! I have been cursed with really thin, puny eyelashes that no amount of mascara or eyelash curling could plump up. I made an appointment and came in and I believe Laura was the receptionist. She was super sweet and explained to me all of the options and made recommendations. It took about an hour to apply 80 eyelashes. I started with the lowest amount because I wasn't sure how heavy or cumbersome they would be and I didn't want to over do it and look clownish. They looked AMAZING! So natural looking! The slightly varying lengths made them look real and they apply each lash individually to each of your real lashes, very close to the root. I got the lash style that were longer in the center of my lash line to open up my eyes. My eyes look so big and sweet! The procedure was very relaxing. They have you recline in a nice white leather recliner, place a fuzzy blanket over you, and turn down the lights overhead and turn on soothing music. They clean your eyelashes and tape your eyelid into place and start applying the lashes. I totally fell asleep each time. Sooooo relaxing. I loved it!! The second and third time I came in for touch ups, I asked for extra lashes so I would have about 100. I think I might go even bolder and try 120 lashes for a really bolder look. I just love them! And my makeup application time is halved because I don't need to mess with my eyes every morning!! YES!!! The eyelashes take a bit of getting used to. No rubbing your hands over your eyes when you're tired. You can't really wash them either - no oily soap or moisturizers near your eyes. No mascara or eyelash curling. You can wear eyeliner but no extended wear eyeliners because they have a lot of oils in them. You need to do your best to keep them pretty dry and use the little mascara wand they give you to brush your eyelashes when they get clumped together or twisted out of alignment. After three months of eyelashes, I can see them a little in the periphery of my vision - looks like a little fuzziness around the edges. But that may only be affecting me because I have the Asian monolid which forces the eyelashes down into my line of sight a bit. It does not bother me though and I rarely notice it. I lose about an eyelash or two per day. They fall out pretty evenly so I only go back in for a touch up when it starts to look a little sparse (3 weeks in or so). TIP: DO NOT GET THEM WET FOR 24 HOURS!!! I accidently got my first set wet after about 4 hours and it weakened the glue :( I lost more lashes quickly and had to go in at 2 weeks to get a touch up. The second and third set stayed put for a lot longer when I didn't get my face wet at all. I used a cotton pad and micelle water to remove my makeup at the end of the day, totally avoiding my eye areas. Worked like a charm! read more

I was so nervous getting my eyelashes done for the first time. I researched and researched...hearing about people horror stories you can never be too carefully. This place is AMAZING. I wanted extensions done for my wedding so I went a month early for a trail run. After my consult and an hour later they were done. It was painless. Confession...I opened my eye prematurely before the glue dried ( they tell you not to do it) and it burned. Ouch, but I didn't make that mistake when I went back to have it touched up a couple of days before the wedding. They even gave me a discount for my second visit. Yay! I love saving. I booked my apt with them when I saw their Groupon online, however instead of purchasing the Groupon online I bought it through them as they matched the Groupon price. My first set of lashes I was not that happy with as I did ask for natural and I called them up a few days later and they touched in up with no additional cost. I am very happy now with my lashes. They were really long and thicker, I trimmed them a little to suit my taste. I went here to get lashes put on for my wedding. The entire experience was amazing! Let me tell you why: the building it's in is the cutest place ever, the store itself is perfectly cozy/clean/and white, and the lash job they do is perfect. For me, I was very concerned with having a reaction to the glue (especially being right before my wedding), but they invited me to come in a few days before my actually lash appointment for a test run with a few lashes. I found this place through Groupon and I am in love!!! I had Connie as my beautician and she was so gentle and thorough in making sure I get the results that I wanted! I love how this place is so detailed with their consultation prior to the eyelash appointment. They ask you about what type of glue you wanted to use, there is the regular one and a type for sensitive skin (but it lasts for only ~2 weeks vs 3-4 weeks with the regular one). You can customize by the style, length, thickness and curl for your lashes. I've been to other eyelash extension places that doesn't even take the time to ask you what you want. And if they did, I wouldn't have any idea what to say because I was new to it! Here, they have a binder full of pictures and descriptions of how it might look like on you. When you are actually laying down comfortably in their reclining chair and a blanket, they would give you suggestions on the length for you to get based on your real eyelashes. I actually changed my mind about the type of curl I wanted after Connie showed me what it would look like on me. They even had a list of oil-free makeup remover products that they recommend you on using, which was so thoughtful of them. They really make an effort to make sure you love your lashes. The salon was extremely clean and comfortable. I actually fell asleep during my session because the atmosphere was so relaxing! I definitely recommend this place!!! read more

let me start off by saying that this review is wholly based off their business practice and not their techs skills. I had a positive experience with their techs and would have been a regular customer if it weren't so difficult to get an appointment. They do not work with you and have very limited availability - clients shouldn't be penalized for shortage of staff.. I am the paying customer and should not be chasing the business to take my money. I don't know about you, but I take my lashes seriously so if you're like me and need to have them filled every 3-4 weeks, I'm going to want to be able to get in and set my appointment with ease and according to my schedule not theirs. With the endless options for lashes all over OC, if they want to succeed they should learn how to appreciate their customers first. The front desk girl Mary should really take a lesson in customer service - its appalling that she's the manager considering her poor people skills. Attitude check real quick - I hope she knows clients are the source of her paycheck. I won't be surprised if they start marketing on deal sites again in a few months since I'm sure they'll have a hard time retaining any returning customers. read more

Cousin had told me about this place so when I saw Groupon had a deal, decided to give it a try. I wasn't expecting them to be randomly located with all these office buildings so almost missed their store. When I went to lashest FKA Raffine their staff had informed me since I had such short and small lashes, I could only get up to 80 but they staff here at beauteous said they could pull off 100 for me and I could go longer. So I went all out. I assumed it was going to be similar to lashest with private rooms but it's a shared space with other customers. Lucky me was sharing a space with a super chatty customer so no falling asleep for me. Downside was their glue stung my eyes much more and longer than the glue they use at lashest the whole time they were applying and for a bit afterwards. Though my eyes were fine the next day. And my cousin she had the same experience here at beauteous but our eyes didn't sting at lashest. Making an appointment here is bit more challenging as well, as you don't always get a live person during business hours as with lashest, they have someone answering calls. So book in advance especially come holidays/busy seasons. So there's pros and cons about this place. Curious what the other technician Connie technique is like. I've had eyelash extensions off and on over the years so I'm very familiar with the process and the desired result. Decided to try again with this Groupon special to get lashes before my vacation. Was initially impressed with the look of the salon. However did not feel welcomed by the receptionist. I was told to be there 15 minutes early yet sat there wondering why was I there early as there was no interaction with the receptionist. As my appointment time came up she then approached me with her iPad to then give me an instructions as to all the various options of eyelashes, which I felt was a waste of time. The technician was initially nice but no conversation during the process and based on how much time she seemed to be spending on my eyelashes I was excited to see thicker, longer lashes. Surprisingly they were less full than any time I have done in the past. She commented that I didn't have enough lashes to attach the lashes to which is odd as I've never heard that before and she even commented that she could not put the total 140 lashes on. Regardless I would rate the application as below satisfactory. Within a week most of them began to fall out and by the second week most were gone with the last few turning in all the wrong directions to where I had to cut them off. The salon itself was great. Very clean and nice knowledgeable staff. Kayo was my technician and she was super sweet and ultimately did a great job on my lashes, however the final result did not really match how the receptionist described the style and thickness of lashes I chose, to the point where people asked if I had even ended up getting my lashes done. I chose the 3rd thickest lash style; which the receptionist described as looking like multiple coats of mascara. This sounded good to me as I wanted the lashes as an alternative to wearing daily makeup, and the thickest option was described as a full "sheet of false lashes" for something like a photo shoot, which sounded a bit aggressive for daily wear. I received the 120 lashes (60 / eye) and on day one felt like I had to wear makeup (eyeliner) to look put together - and I'm not someone who wears a lot of makeup on a daily basis but it looked like I was wearing literally nothing. It looks like I have nice long natural lashes, but does not look like the "coats of mascara" promised, which is really a bummer as that was the whole reason behind getting the lashes for me, to not wear any eye makeup. I wish I had loved the result because the salon and staff are great, but unfortunately the lashes were just too lack luster to be worth spending the $$. read more
