I had such a great experience getting flash tattoos from Bria! She was soooo kind, sweet, and made the whole process feel comfortable and fun. Her line work is super clean, and I absolutely love how my tattoos turned out. The shop had a great atmosphere, super aesthetic and calming. After my last visit with Chase a couple weeks ago for my vintage cat tattoo of my daughter, I knew I'd be back here soon! I had an appointment with Ruby about 2 weeks from now but saw that she had a last minute opening and I am so glad I was able to take it! She was so flexible and drew up my design and made all the adjustments that I asked for to make sure I was happy with it. I had soo much fun watching her do my tattoo and our little conversations in between. She's super detail/oriented and took her time to make sure everything was perfect, which I really appreciated. I got two small finger tattoos (one a matching with my friend) with Chase and she was amazing! I'm super picky with placement but she was so patient the entire time and talked it out with me until I was happy. I would definitely go back to get more tattoos with her in the future and recommend her. My friend was also super happy with hers as well. Edit: I really hate to do this, but I have to change my review. One day after getting the tattoos one of them (the XO) has completely blown out. That one actually really hurt while getting it compared to the bow which was almost painless. In hindsight, I should've realized she was pushing too hard and the needle was going too deep. I have multiple fine line tattoos and none of them have ever hurt like that one. It's a simple enough tattoo that this shouldn't have happened. Disappointed that before it's even healed I'm going to have to plan getting it removed or fixed somehow. I understand that Chase is a new artist and still learning. While she shows potential, it's clear that she could benefit from more practice. Unfortunately, I can't recommend her at this time, as there's a risk of ending up with an expensive mistake. Second edit: just spoke to my friend and her bow on her arm also blew out :( Third edit: tomorrow is two weeks since getting the tattoos. I've included photos of all three. My bow is almost completely gone. The X in XO has bled and the heart in-between is a blob that's now attached to the X. The O has parts where the ink is completely gone. My friends bow almost looks shaded from the bleeding... but thankfully from afar it doesn't look terrible and can be fixed elsewhere. There are fake tattoos that last longer than this. I'd like a refund please. read more

I recently took the tattoo training course as a beginner with *NO* tattoo experience and it was so fun! I got a tattoo here, by an apprentice. He was nice, the studio looked clean, but after it healed, it came out spotty and splotchy and faded. Looks like it's old but it's barely just healed. I understand that he might not have had the most experience, but I feel like there should be SOME sort of standards, especially since this TINY one inch tattoo cost me nearly $200. The heart is also supposed to have purple in the middle, which has COMPLETELY faded. I reached out to them multiple times, each time they brushed me off, saying it was normal when it was healing to be splotchy, and saying to see a doctor if it is bothersome (it's not, it just isn't good quality art). Then when it fully healed I reached out again to ask if they could touch it up (then I wouldn't leave a review). But they didn't reply to my call OR text. So now my first ever tattoo is... a mess. read more

Hi, I’m Alisha Mektrakarn — founder of Beautific Studios, artist, and educator. I started Beautific because I remember how intimidating it felt to walk into a traditional tattoo shop. The energy never felt quite right for me — it was overwhelming, unwelcoming, and didn’t reflect the kind of experience I wanted as a client. So I created something different: a luxury fine line tattoo studio that feels cozy, inviting, and thoughtfully designed for women — but open to all. Beautific Studios is proudly female-founded and operated, and over 90% of our artists are women. I’m also deeply passionate about education and mentorship. Through our in-house training and apprenticeship programs, I’m focused on making this industry more accessible — creating a welcoming space for aspiring artists to learn, grow, and build sustainable careers with confidence and support.

I was first introduced to Sunny's work through her IG. After seeing how she perfectly captured the…read moreanatomy of butterflies and month, I felt confident that she would be able do the same for beetles. After submitting the online inquiry form and messaging Sunny, I quickly received a response and an estimated cost. To my surprise, she has always wanted do beetle tattoos and was excited to work with me. Since it was my first tattoo, I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. However, Sunny's friendliness and the store's calming ambiance made me feel reassured and surprisingly comfortable. From reference pictures to stenciling, Sunny walked me through each step and ensure all the details of the darkling beetles were included. Furthermore, before the initial outlining, other artists in the store were asked to double check the stencil (flow, composition, etc). 3 hours quickly passed and I got my first 3 beetle tattoos done on my forearm. It didn't hurt too bad because I was enjoying the nerdy beetle conversation with Sunny. After the tattoos were wrapped up, Sunny gave me a run down on the after-care routine and what to expect during the healing process. In the end, I am so glad that I went to Sunny from My Tattoo for the beetle tattoos. This is why I am having Sunny finishing a full beetle sleeve on my left arm.

If you're looking to start your fine line tattoo journey, here at Beautific is what I'd recommend. I'm 25yo female & a licensed nail technician. I do have an eye for some art already when it comes to nails. I was looking to expand my artistic abilities & take on this course. I have never touched a tattoo machine before and I was very nervous at first. My instructor, Caroline, is the best! She was full of energy, supportive and passionate about her craft as a fine line tattoo artist herself. She did not gatekeep and answered any and all questions I had. Though I do have a little artistic background, there was still a lot to learn! Even when I felt uncertain about something she was always there to help. There are a few things I loved about taking this course. For example I loved how the class was arranged in small group(my group was 4). I really felt like we were all able to get feedback one on one. The thing I love most about this class is the full hands on experience you get. We were able to see Caroline work on a live model which helped a lot with someone like me who learns by watching and feeling! When it came to live model day for me, I really loved how I was able to get immediate feedbacks. Anywhere from "good job" to "let's do more pressure here" or "maybe let's go slower here." I felt comfortable and confident in every step of the way. Moving forward, I feel confident and equipped enough to take on this new adventure in tattooing. I recently took the Fine Line and Tiny Tattoo training here at Beautific Studios, and it was SO worth it! Honestly it is worth the investment. Especially if tattooing is something you want to do. I've been interested in it for over 14 years, and let me tell you, I never thought it would happen for me, but it is! You get your very own machine in your kit to get you started (and it's a good one too!), everything item-wise that's included is very well thought out, and such a nice way of encouraging you to START! Alisha is an amazing teacher and mentor who genuinely cares about her students, and their goals. She relates to you on a personal level, and doesn't hide anything or hold anything back. She's genuinely in YOUR CORNER, which is so helpful when you are starting something new and you're nervous. The best part is, if you decide to apprentice at the shop after your education, you get SO MUCH encouragement and knowledge. You get everyone as a mentor, you can get help, feedback, learn new skills, and she even hold workshops for further education! She also promotes you as an artist on IG, and really helps you start to gain traction. To me, this is VITAL, and makes it a little less daunting to get started since you're not just only on your own. Side note, even though this class is tiny tattoos and line work, she encourages you to explore other styles as well. I know some artists there do realism as well as black work, so it's good to know you aren't limited! Highly recommend taking this course. You will not regret it! I learned so much! read more

I recently had a deeply troubling experience with Alisha the owner As someone who has had their brows done and is frequently featured on their page, I was shocked by their unethical practices. After I commented on social media about the use of a cross-eyed woman's image for promotional purposes, the response I received was inappropriate and unprofessional. Instead of addressing the ethical concerns I raised about representing clients in their best light, I was subjected to a personal attack and an attempt to jeopardize my employment. Additionally, I noticed that their social media page lacks diversity, predominantly showcasing clients of a certain look, which led me to believe they were selectively promoting a certain look. This assumption, combined with the retaliatory behavior I experienced, made me feel that their actions were racially motivated. Compared to other places I've been, where I've experienced a much more diverse and inclusive environment, this was especially disappointing. If they had used my photo in a similar manner, I would have been extremely upset. This behavior not only reflects poorly on the individual but also raises serious questions about the business's values and practices. I expected a constructive dialogue, but instead, I encountered blatant disregard for professional conduct. I do not recommend engaging with this business, as their approach to criticism is retaliatory and unprofessional. read more

I absolutely adore this studio! I was here a month ago for a flash event, the owner Alisha did my tattoo and it turned out amazing! I had such a great experience here I decided to do their Fine line tattoo certification. The processes was so easy. Alisha is so encouraging. It made it easy for me to say YES to this opportunity. My trainer was primarily Caroline -- an absolute angel. She is an amazing teacher, such a fun and professional etiquette, she made the whole experience so much more exciting. What was great about it is that all the artists came up to us and helped us with a lot of the second skin practice and gave us their own tricks and trades. There was NO gatekeeping here. Every artist here is so generous and welcoming. I never once felt discouraged while I was here. If anyone is thinking about getting certified in fine line tattoo training and lives in Orange County or even outside of SoCal, I 1000% encourage you to sign up for this certification training. Over the past month I had recently taken the fine line tattoo course at the studio! I have been into illustration and body art pretty much my entire life, so when I heard about this class through my roommate I was immediately intrigued. Now after taking and completing the course fully, I can say it was definitely worth my time. I feel it lived up to what I had my expectations to and went a bit further into things which I appreciated. The studio is well taken care of and the owner and instructor, Alisha is very nice and accommodating :) She is very knowledgeable about what is being taught and isn't afraid to to jump in and help you when need be. Being an artist prior, I felt I was able to incorporate some of my skills into what I was learning which felt like a huge step into the right direction into what I want to do with my career. My favorite part of the class has to be the in-person hands on experience, being able to practice and be provided with industry grade materials is incredibly important. Moving forward I feel equipped with a better understanding and confidence into tattooing and the artistic industry. I finished my fine line tattoo training at Beautific and I'm honestly on such a high from the experience! It exceeded every expectation I had. From day one, the energy was so welcoming, supportive, and genuinely inspiring. Caroline taught our first two days and she is truly next level. Not only is she insanely talented, but she is soo genuine and cares so much about you understanding the technique and craft. She breaks everything down in a way that makes it feel doable, not overwhelming. She's extremely patient, detailed, and so encouraging, you can tell she wants you to win. I found Rylee at Beautific Studios on Instagram and just HAD to book a tiny tattoo with her when I was looking for an artist to give me a fine line seagull (@ryleecooktattoo on ig pls pls pls go look and you'll see what I mean! Gosh, how talented of an artist is she!). From the get go, she was speedy in responding and so enthusiastic to work on this idea. After messaging her, I was in the chair within a couple of weeks. The studio was clean, everyone was friendly and prompt, and Rylee herself was such a sweetheart. Her work is cleeeeean and so well done, she clearly takes pride in her work and is meticulous. She checked at each step and was very accommodating. She also checked in often to make sure the pain was okay or if I wanted to take breaks. I just completed the Tiny Tattoo & Fine Line Course (3-day training) and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I've made for my career! Our instructor, Caroline, was absolutely amazing. Her energy was so positive and welcoming from day one. What I appreciated most was how closely she paid attention to each individual student. If anyone was struggling or needed extra help, she was right there -- patient, supportive, and genuinely invested in making sure we understood every step. I went here to learn how to do tiny tattoos, and the experience was all so welcoming. I felt in those three days i learned a lot, of course as beginner as i am, i still have much to improve, but this class and course is perfect to get you started and well educated. They even let you learn with live demos and live models with kits they supply (even enough to take home to practice with) which is humbling and a very trusting experience that allowed me to excel further into this job. Caroline was our instructor and was so well informed on this job and very inclusive which you need for a first timer. i would honestly take the course just to see her again and learn more under her. Her ways of connecting techniques to stuff you do on your day to day, personally, allowed me to learn the techniques better. everyone needs some sort of examples, Caroline gave those perfectly with her bubbly sweet self. Signed up for the tattoo class, Caroline was the mentor/teacher and she is such a wonderful human being with so much patience, calmness and care about seeing people grow and succeed. She clearly explained everything without it being overwhelming (especially for something that's only 3 days). When we did live models she always checked up on everyone, along with Chase who assisted her she was also very attentive and offered help, tips, advice. Having a creative/design background helped me out but it's so amazing to see other who come from a different career/life background to be able to pick up on this as well. It's very comforting and motivating to see people who were in our shoes be able to get somewhere after taking this course. Chase is amazing! Booking with her is quick and easy -- she answered all of my questions which made me more comfortable with the whole process. She did my first tattoo (flower bouquet) and as soon as I saw the sketch, I was blown away by how perfectly she captured everything I had asked for. A week and a half later I came in for my second tattoo. She is incredibly sweet and patient -- I cannot wait to rebook with her in the future. The studio is clean and the staff are kind and welcoming! UPDATED-- Added Nana's review Nana is wonderful! I'm two weeks post-procedure and love my brows. She really took the time to get the shape just right and paid great attention to detail. Pain-wise, this was super tolerable--about a 2-3/10 for me, especially compared to recent tattoos. My friend and I got our first tattoos done together by Chase and she made the experience so chill and easy! I first messaged her on instagram and she replied super fast with lots of details and had very good communication when we were figuring out scheduling details. I also appreciated her letting us both go together in the same session. When we got there, she offered me multiple sizes of the stencil and let me play around with the placement for a bit before putting it on. I was very nervous going into it because I was unsure of how I was going to react to the feeling of getting a tattoo but Chase helped me through it and did a little test line before actually getting started. I had an amazing experience with Chase! Her attention to detail and precision with fine lines is truly unmatched. Every line in my tattoo is flawless, and the design is exactly what I envisioned. The whole experience was so supportive and motivating to all aspiring artists who would love to embark on this path as a career. I took Alisha's 3 day training session and honestly, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made! At first, I was incredibly scared to even sign up for the class. I didn't have any experience and I wouldn't consider myself really artsy. I had never played around with Procreate and it felt like a lot to take on but after three days I feel super empowered and eager to continue practicing and tattooing. I wouldn't have thought 3 days would be enough to learn everything that it takes to fine line tattoo but Alisha packs in a lot of detail and information in 3 days. I would recommend and even encourage anyone thinking about taking this class to just say yes and sign up! It's an investment but it's worth it. Also everyone who works here is so sweet! I just finished the beginner tattoo training class and WOW -- it was seriously the best experience ever! If you're thinking about it, this is your sign to go ahead and book it! The girls at Beautific Studio are incredible -- such good energy, so down-to-earth, and genuinely welcoming. Starting something new can feel intimidating, but Caroline made the whole journey feel easy, comfortable, and fun. She has this way of making you feel like you've known her forever, so asking questions never felt awkward or embarrassing. The information you get in this class is so detailed -- from helpful analogies that make everything click, to what steps to take once you leave, to how to take fire photos of your tattoos. They truly give you everything you need. I'm leaving this class feeling confident, inspired, and so excited to start this new chapter! read more

I have seen Caroline now twice, and each time she's delivered the most meaningful and detailed work! I first saw her in January and then again in August in Beautific's new studio. The new studio was incredibly welcoming, with lots of natural light, cute decor, and plenty of places to sit while you wait. The front desk staff were also super nice. I was impressed by Caroline's attention to detail, like delivering multiple mock-ups of the design to choose from, ensuring the best size, placement accuracy, even down to the tiny star details. She checked in with me regularly during the service to ensure my comfort, offering water and a few laughs. All in all, I was so happy with the end product, I appreciated the other artists saying hi and complimenting my new art, also. Can't wait to be back in the new studio for more of Caroline's art! read more

I took the fine line/tiny tattoo training course and I'm very happy w my overall experience. The training course included a small group of us, which I loved bc it was made me feel more comfortable asking questions and was able to get hands on guidance/support. It is a two-day training course so it's much more affordable unlike other training courses in OC, and I'd highly recommend this training to anyone who prefers a faster pace. Alisha, who was our mentor and a literal girl boss, is really genuine and I appreciated her honest style of mentoring. Also, Tuco the cutest most perfect dog was the cherry on top of my whole experience. This training course exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend taking this training course for those who are interested in learning how to do fine line/tiny tattoos! read more

I just finished my tattoo training with Caroline at Beautific Studios, and it honestly exceeded every expectation I had. I came in with zero tattoo experience, and the way Caroline teaches made everything clear and easy to understand. The environment was comfortable, supportive, and very hands-on -- exactly what I needed as a beginner. Caroline is the best, she was born to teach!!! Aileen were also amazing. They're patient, kind, and make you feel welcome and supported from start to finish. I left feeling confident, prepared, and excited to start my tattoo journey. If you're thinking about taking this course, just do it. The amount of knowledge, clarity, and real practical skill you gain here is something you won't get on your own.
