I love coming here for detailed designs I want for special events! They always recreate my inspo pics perfectly. Of course colors show up differently in pictures and on different skin tones. I let them recommend which shade would compliment my skin tone and they have never steered me wrong. My favorite sets I've gotten done in OC are always from this salon! I recently had Veda do my birthday nails and they came out wonderful! She checks with you at every step to make sure you love your nails read more

I want to give a big shout out to KEN at Charming Nails. He's new to Charming Nails and I'm so grateful because my regular nail person moved, so Ken did my nails and he really did a beautiful job. He literally did them exactly how I asked. The color and shape were perfect, he was patient but efficient, and the salon is so nice and luxurious and everyone is so friendly, it really makes it a pleasurable experience. Heidi also did an amazing pedicure, it had been a while and she took her time and the massage at the end was incredible....I fell asleep! Worst customer service at this location. After going to Venie for five years, there was only one time -- around my birthday -- that I was unhappy with my nails because they were much shorter than what I had asked for. It happens. When I reached out to her about it, the response was very rude, and I was told she would not fix them. Honestly, all that needed to happen was a simple gesture, such as offering not to charge me for a full set next time or something simple. Their prices are already on the higher side, and although I knew I was paying more than most places, I continued going because I valued the relationship and liked their work. The manager was only available on one specific day to fix the nails, and unfortunately I was unavailable that day. Instead of trying to accommodate me or work with my schedule, they were completely inflexible. Not only did they refuse to work with me, but they also made me feel unappreciated as a long-time customer. After five years of loyalty, I expected much better customer service. I will not be returning. Overpriced services with very poor customer care. read more

I always have the best experience here! Veda did an amazing job on my nails she paid incredible attention to detail, took her time, and never rushed the process. She constantly checked in to make sure I loved the shape and length, and the final result came out perfect. Holly did my gel pedicure, and she is truly the best. Every time she does my pedicure it lasts at least a month. She applies everything with so much precision and care, and you can really tell she takes pride in her work. I haven't had my nails done in so long (4 years) and was able to find Chloe (IG: nailedxchloe) through the reviews of another yelper. It was so easy to book with her through instagram and schedule a flexible time for me. When i arrived, check-in was easy! I'd say the prices at Charming are worth it if you feel like pampering yourself. Also, Chloe was extremely welcoming and was able to help choose what services/styles/designs to get without being pushy about it. She was extremely patient with me throughout the whole process and I ended up LOVING my nails so much. I got a short almond GelX with the prettiest custom pink polish. Definitely come here to get your nails done! It's free to come back* to get the GelX or builder gel removed if you get another service. Without another service it costs $15. I have been getting my nails done for decades & never found a nail tech who could do my nails the way they would last for more than a week or two until i found Chloe at charming nails. Tammy, my nail lady, took care of me and she did such an amazing, fantastic job on my nails--I'm seriously obsessed with how they turned out! Tell me why that was like the best nail experience I've ever had? I came down to California for a work trip and I had some acrylic nails and I don't usually get acrylic nails so I really wanted to take them off. I went in and asked if they could take me to do just a acrylic nail take off at a gel manicure and even though they look really busy, they took me and Did so amazing like usually when you go to a nail place the worry is that they're gonna cut your cuticles or give you chunky nails or whatever but they all seemed really smart about the best way to remove the acrylic nails and also on modern nail technology a.k.a. gel builder and gel X manicures anyway if you look at the pictures, this is what SOPHIA came up with. Also, Sophia?? Such a cute girl to chat with. I wish I lived here so I could come to her to do my nails every time. Also, just because yelp is asking the vibe in there was immaculate. All of the staff members seem to be Vibin with each other. Everybody was really nice! read more

However, the lady who did my hands cut one of my fingers to the point of bleeding and left a shallow cut on another while filing my side walls. The other side walls are all quite sore as she filed them all pretty far. The hard gel on at least one of my nails did not go to the end of my nail bed and I pointed this out (it looked like the filing had actually grooved down past where the hard gel had been and into my natural nail on top). She kept saying "it's fine. I'll just add more of the other gel later." I asked if it would grow out wonky or lift and she said "no, it'll be fine." She ended up added builder gel to that specific nail and then gobbed on the color gel pretty thick at the base of that nail. From far away they look cute but if I look closely the quality just isn't great. When I paid, the lady charging me asked "you don't want to leave a tip for your techs?" So I explained again what had happened to her and said I'd happily leave one for the lady who did my pedicure but not for my nails and as I really was not happy with how they turned out. She gave me the Venmo of the pedicure lady and said she was sorry and would talk to the other girl. Over all I felt everyone was quite dismissive as I expressed to both the lady while she was doing my hands and the one ringing me up that I wasn't with them but no one interested in doing much to fix it.

I visited Charming Nail Lounge today, attracted by its high Yelp rating of 4.8 stars, and chose to book an appointment with Chloe based on her showcased work. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. I requested short nails with a square-round shape on my natural nails. Despite clearly communicating this and showing Chloe the designs I wanted, she began applying gel-X artificial nails, suggesting that this method would better achieve the design and could be cut shorter. Although I preferred natural nails, I agreed to the gel-X option. Initially, Chloe cut the artificial nails too long. When I asked if they could be made shorter, she attempted to trim them, but several nails cracked in the process. Chloe showed visible frustration and started communicating with her coworker in a language I didn't understand, which made me uncomfortable. It was evident she was discussing my nails, as she pointed and frowned while addressing the issues. At the end of the service, Chloe requested that I pay her tip upfront, separate from the payment for the other services. I didn't have cash and asked to pay the tip on my card, but she insisted on Venmo. After I paid her a $25 tip (for a $100 service), she checked amount and again started speaking with her coworker in her language, which further contributed to my discomfort. Had an amazing experience. Absolutely gorgeous nails done. I love them!! I did a walk in when they had just opened in the morning. I was quickly seated and taken care of.
