My daughter was turning 10 and she wanted it to be a special birthday. I decided to throw her a surprise party while we were out on horseback tour. When I was pregnant with my second baby I wanted to do a nice photo shoot but I also wanted to find a special way to celebrate my older daughter's 3 yo birthday. I saw Helen's Facebook page and I was enchanted! She has the most lovely collection of Victorian props and clothes to set a magical scene. My little girl had the best time helping Helen put on my makeup and then we got to dress up in a matching dress, have a tea party, play with dolls and have just a super fun time. We've celebrated my daughter's 9th birthday with Helen. It was an amazing experience! We chose Hawaiian party theme. Helen was able to recreate a true feeling of tropical Island get away. All decorations were done in bright colors. Background music made you want to dance. Girls got to wear lei, make a craft, answer Hawaii trivia questions, play fun games - something for everyone. Party was very well organized. There were three different parts: games, beauty makeover (because hey, 9 yr old girls!) and dancing. Yet we never felt rushed. Normally kids birthdays are stressful, but Helen and her helpers took care of every detail so that we could relax and enjoy. In fact that's how I would describe the whole day - fun and relaxing!
