When my time was cut short, I showed her that ad again and tried to explain it to her, then she took it to someone I did not see and said $40, 30 minutes. I found Angel on yelp after my skin appeared pretty congested and aged due to stress and from wearing N95 masks for 12 hour shifts in the covid unit during 2020. Upon meeting, Angel could tell it's been a while since I've had a facial and recommended the diamond dermabrasion for a deeper clean but I held off, wanting just a regular facial for my first time. I stripped down into a towel dress, climbed onto the massage bed, and on came the facial steamer along with one of the most relaxing facial massages ever. She then proceeded with the extraction (minimal pain) and ended with a cooling mask under an LED light. She has such a gentle yet effective touch and it was so soothing I ended up falling asleep sometime during the 75 min session. My skin was visibly clearer and glowing after the session, giving me all the reason to come back. I've tried to make it a habit to return every 1-2 months but life catches up to you sometimes. Since 3 months have passed since my last facial, I added on the diamond dermabrasion to my latest session per Angel's suggestion. She also recommended the IPL treatment during the winter to lighten some of my sun spots. Three months was actually quite a break from facials so I'll be trying to come back at least every 1.5-2 months from now on. I usually text her for appointments and she gets pretty booked so schedule at least a week in advance!

Upon entering the establishment, I was a bit skeptical. I felt as if I have stepped into an all-in-one Chinese household clashed with bad 80's furnishings. The decor was nothing worth mentioning, but I decided to give it a try anyway. Despite of all the superficial aspects, I must say I was in for a surprise. It's not your lovely spa atmosphere, yes, but you definitely get what you pay for. Carol takes extra steps to make sure you are comfortable and informs you about every step she is doing. The facial is very detailed accompanied with a nice hand treatment, wonderful 15-20 mins massage from face to shoulders and arms. The whole facial lasts about an hour and 20 minutes. I arrived there late and she was very accomodating, even staying past closing to finish my session. I originally went in for the one facial price, but I loved it so much I purchased a pack which is good for facials and eyelash extentions for the low low price of $39 per session. You can always split that with a friend or use it for yourself in a span of whenever. ---- UPDATE 01/08/09 ---- They have moved to their new location on Valley and Garfield. Connie has been trained in Hong Kong and came here to work at a skin care center in San Gabriel. She decided to go solo for a while working out of her home. She steadily built her clients and offered fantastic rates. Now she has officially opened her own store and I'm really estatic. Connie starts with washing my face and steams it to open up my pores. After that she gently squeezes out the dirt and oil from my pores. Then she sanitizes it by running a wand over my face that kills germs so I won't get infections. Next is the best part, the massage. For 15 mins. she massages my face, neck and upper body. OH. MY. GOD. such bliss and heaven. At the end, she applies a mask for the last 15 mins. You can request either to have a lightening mask (Lightens your skin) or cleansing mask. She finishes off w/ a nice hot towel to wipe off the excess residue left over from the mask and sprays rose water to your face. Ahhhhh, like a drink of water for your skin. She's really affordable compared to the other spas. If you get the package, it's even cheaper! I have to say, I always walk out feeling refreshed and a squeaky clean face. Never w/ blotches on my face like an esthetician picked the crap outta my face where I have to clutch onto the bed for dear life. I highly recommend you see Connie if your face needs help or just a professional touch to beautify your face.
