I met Dayme a week after I spent $150 on some other facial product. I've struggled with acne since I was 13 yrs old, now I'm 32 years old and I've tried so many products. Every other product would make me break out more or just work for about a month, and I would continue getting the same results. All these other products would contain so many unfamiliar ingredients I didn't know of, and I wouldn't question it because I was so desperate. Not only were the ingredients unnatural, but I would get the same results over and over. At times, I would cry and get mad and say, "It's not fair." I seriously had reached the point that I've excepted the fact that nothing would help my acne, but then one day I was walking down Topanga Strip, and there she was, DAYME, Dayme Cosmetics. So I went back and asked her to remake it. Because both of the issues were due to faulty packaging I thought she would remake it for a reduced rate, however it was full price minus the cost of the containers. I had them remade and she told me to store them in the fridge. I did that and now it's separated, which she did tell me is normal. Bills don't pause until you're ready to pay them when you can. We are a small business as well and rely on timely payments to keep up and running. A week and a half after I received my order, I received another email announcing a 25% off sale through Thanksgiving. I immediately sent an email asking for a refund of the 25% (approximately $50) since it was so soon after my purchase. The customer service department refused to give me a refund. I then told the reps that I wanted to return my purchase for a refund. They said there were no returns even though I paid full price. I have never written a negative review but the experience with Beautycounter was so disconcerting I feel it is imperative to warn potential buyers.

I greatly appreciate that Beautycounter makeup is helpful and not harmful to the skin. And they are a Certified B Corporation which means they provide healthier products and that they provide transparency about those products. The makeup is not inexpensive so if you're used to getting your products at the drugstore, be prepared for some sticker shock. I think it's worth it, and most of the items last a long time. You can buy the products through one of your town's local Beautycounter consultants (if you google Beautycounter you will be able to locate consultants in your area who will help you get started and who can sell you what you're looking for). If you want to "fly solo", you can certainly order any of the products online without the use of a consultant. It might be best though to first talk to one of the consultants so she/he can help you discern the best colors and products for your skin tone and type. This is a free service of course and she/he can also tell you about any specials, and probably will throw in some free samples.

When I finally picked it up, the order was incomplete and did not include all of the items I was promised at the time of purchase. When I reported this, I was told there was a supply shortage. They later sent another package, again without tracking information. Luckily, I happened to be in town and it was not stolen. However, the additional product they sent was dried out and unusable. At that point, I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Infinite Aloe then demanded that I return all products, even though the return policy was not listed on the receipt I was provided at the time of purchase. To make matters worse, I later encountered Tammee at another conference, where she repeatedly walked by the booth my colleague and I were managing for our employer while video recording us without permission. I reported this as harassment, and instead of taking accountability, the company tried to get me to cancel my chargeback in exchange for a refund so they could avoid the chargeback fee. The entire experience -- from the purchase, to the missing items, to the dried-out product, to the lack of tracking, to the horrible customer service -- has been unacceptable. It wasn't until I remembered there being this fragrance kiosk I visited a few years back, located towards the Forever 21 entrance of the mall. And so with some hope of finding what I was looking for, I decided to head that way. I wish I would've done this from the very beginning, because I had to make it back home by 3 to head to a wedding and I started all this just a little after the mall opened at 10, and in my mind that was a large enough frame to handle the shopping and get ready.
