Robert Nordman has been working with me for several months now. I feel I have a much better counseling regiment with Beautiful Minds Medical Center. I have been seen by quite a cadre of doctors and therapists/counselors and I am so happy to have discovered them. Their offices are located in a very calming location with adequate parking and a nice park with a beautiful walking path in it. Be prepared for a lot of emphasis on a plant based diet. The only negative is they could make it a little cooler in their offices on a hot summer day. read more

I went through the intensive out patient program in September 2024. Which wasn't horrible except they are very religious and kind of try to push religion (mostly Christianity) on you even when you have stated you are not spiritual or religious. As part of the program you have to sit through lectures about the Bible and god. Very unhelpful as I do not believe in that and find it fairly damaging and not helpful in mental health practice. I did find some of the program helpful but it's not very good for those of us who are agnostic, atheists or others. Which is something I wish I knew before Now the main thing DO NOT GO SEE MELISSA FROST she is a psychiatrist at beautiful minds and she is one of the worst psychiatrists I have ever met. I have been seeing her for about two years and she still has no idea who I am when I see her every three months. She is very judgy as well and will not be understanding if you struggle with substance abuse, sticking to a routine etc.. she will judge you for that. My younger sister has also seen her and Melissa has made her cry multiple times due to not being understanding and being Judgy (my younger sister is a minor). Melissa frost will also surprise you with psych students during your appointment (not informing you before hand) and pretty much forcing it on you to have the students do the appointment. PLEASE SAVE YOUR SELF THE TROUBLE AND DO NOT SEE MELISSA FROAT!!!! This does not mean all the staff there are bad some of them were very kind and extremely helpful and understanding there's just little access it seems to the good professionals. They also mostly just focus on trying to get you off medication even if it legitimately helps you because your brain works differently. They don't really care and just think everyone should work to get off medication. read more

I can't recommend Beautiful Minds enough. I went through their TMS treatment program, and also see one of their counselors. Their entire team is compassionate, caring, flexible, and very attentive. From the check-in receptionist to the head doctor, I felt that they were truly invested in everything going on with me, and how they could help. The treatments were a time commitment, yet very well worth it. I actually looked forward to each visit! I definitely recommend the TMS treatment for anyone suffering from depression and/or anxiety. In my case, I went through the treatment during a very stressful and emotional time. I recommend Dr. Nordman as a mental health physician finding him knowledgeable, kind and thorough. I appreciate the wholistic approach, including nutrition knowledge. However, I'm writing review to warn others during Covid that this office is NOT in compliance with mask wearing. Several employees refuse to wear masks and the Dr. wears one that doesn't cover nose as it fogs up his glasses. If you don't care about public health safety around Covid, fine. I recommend this place. The very first time I went the receptionist was super friendly at the front desk. I think Kylie is her name and that right there made me feel comfortable. My psychiatrist recommended me to their intensive outpatient program a.k.a. IOP. That's a great program! Amanda who is a therapist, is the main leader of it, which she does it for two hours out of the three. She is amazing. She actually takes the time to listen to people. She's not the type to make you feel like you have to rush when talking to her. She gives you great feedback. By no means does she make you feel uncomfortable. I wish there was more people like her in this world. It was nice to meet the back staff, which was where IOP takes place. There's the front office and the back office staff. Char is the other really nice receptionist. She's in the back office. They also have a wellness center where you can get a massage etc. kacie runs the wellness center and she is also great! All the staff is great! The only downside is that I graduated yesterday after being there for three weeks. For three weeks, I had a purpose. I could have gone another week but that wasn't enough. I wanted more. At least they give you a binder at the start of IOP that has the tools you need that will help you in the present, near and far future. In the beginning of IOP I didn't have a good outlook on life. I don't remember what number I circled(1 being not good and 10 being good) I actually circled 10 yesterday!!! I see a future now!! KEY WORD-STAY POSITIVE!(Thats just a reminder for me lol). I really recommend this place! It's really beautiful outside of the place too. I have graduated from a 3 week course called IOP. I cannot recommended this group anymore then giving them 100 percent! If you are dealing with anxiety--depression--any mental disability please call them and inquire. Dr Binas and his associate Amanda have put together a mental healing program like no other. Jonathan Eden said racist things to me and called me stupid. He continued to harass me. This keeps getting deleted, but this is all true. He continued to say things under his breathe even after I told him to stop. He and some people in the office didn't care. No one did anything about it. They just allowed it and pitched in. Amazing staff and very understanding. Anytime i need something or have any questions I'm always treated with respect which means a-lot to me. Never have i ever been gas lighted or unheard. I love that they are both into medicine that is natural and work with modern medicine to help keep your body from to much harm. Most of all there is no judgement, very open minded to listen to their patients concerns. For those who maybe suffer from anxiety or having a hard time opening up, this is a very ideal place to start to help with anything you want to improve. In general, i feel very blessed and happy i did not give up after the last bad experience with other therapist in the past. Definitely glad my doctor referred me to this place. I personally have not ever had to wait long to be seen, if so it's not that much of a wait. When my session begins im always informed about it maybe a bit before starting, rarely happens. Had a therapist in a session I am paying them for stop to tell me that covid isn't real and then sent me a propaganda video about it. Completely unacceptable behavior for a medical professional and how am I supposed to trust anything going forward? Really, really disappointing and I hate to think I paid them for any of their work while they push this harmful nonsense onto people trying to work through their personal struggles. After suffering through countless physical symptoms and finding no concrete answers despite exhaustive checkups in all lines of the medical field, I was led to the BM where I was able to finally receive not only the appropriate diagnosis for my mental health illness, but enjoyed such caring interactions and consultation that extended beyond the typical patient/doctor relationship. Although my visit was only a short one to get a proper diagnosis (due to my traveling work life that prevents me from coming back), I would not hesitate to return for further treatments in the future if necessary as time would allow for the unparalleled safe and sincerely caring environment of this clinic. My voice was patiently heard and I was encouraged towards wholistic natural care alternatives instead of the default pharmaceutical approach that the medical world often falls to nowadays. I am personally a Christian and after months of negative/unfruitful experiences in other facilities, the BM is currently the only place I feel like I can entrust the care of something so delicate as my mind. read more

First off, took me a life time to finally get my maps to agree where the actual location was. Finally getting there, I have never felt so dismissed in my life. I was looked at like a complete fool when letting the front desk operator know my doctor recommended me to their office. She then asked another lady next to her how they could even facilitate me. She then replied "We're all full." Not even a recommendation to offer or a "have a nice day," as I left with the most awkward smile. Anyways. I hope this review can help some one in someway. My adult daughter went through their intensive outpatient program (IOP). She had suffered from severe anxiety and depression for years and her PCP, who felt she needed professional help, recommended Beautiful Minds. As a parent, you want your child to feel good about themselves. My daughter had been caught up in an abusive relationship with a narcissist. He had made her fearful, taken away her sense of self and changed her into someone who ended up in a depressed and isolated state. Beautiful Minds' IOP gave her back her confidence. It gave her a chance to see what had happened to her and realize that HE was the cause of her fear. She is so much better, both mentally and emotionally. I attended the 3 week IOP at Beautiful Minds. I don't have enough good things to say about the program and the staff. These guys practice what they preach, and they operate from a holistic mental health perspective. The focus is not just on the mind, but also on all of the habits and lifestyle choices that are quintessential to being engaged with whole body and mind health. It has been a long time since I felt the desire to be more invested in myself and it feels pretty great. For the program to be successful, the participant needs to keep in mind that doing the work and investing in the education that is being provided is necessary. I changed during the 3 weeks that I was there, and I also witnessed some significant growth with other program participants; it's pretty cool to see the hope and light come to people's eyes. I personally attended for help with situational depression and the tools and resources provided were huge for me. The entire staff is amazing and it is a well run organization. Beautiful Minds is a truly incredible place filled with hope and healing! Staff is extremely involved in treatment, making each individual patient a priority. The IOP program is outstanding, and helped me out of an extremely dark time. There's really nothing like it in the area that offers a holistic and balanced approach, with medication prescribed when necessary, to mental health. Amanda and Dr. Binas were amazingly helpful during my ongoing battle with anxiety and depression. Anyone experiencing major mental health setbacks should consider the IOP program, it is so worth it. A couple of months ago I was hospitalized for my anxiety & depression for about a week, after I was discharged from the hospital I attended the IOP program here. (intensive outpatient program) and it has forever changed my life. I have learned so many amazing coping skills that have helped me so much and was even able to get off all my meds. The staff here are amazing. Dr. Binus, Amanda, and Mariola have all had such a positive effect on my recovery. Although the facility is beautiful, I wouldn't personally recommend this place to others seeking psychiatric help as I feel there are more helpful options out there. I will say I did give this place a few chances and each time unfortunately didn't work for me. I was scheduled certain times and each time was either accidentally booked the same time as another patient or booked before the business had even opened or I'd show up on time and be waiting 15-30 minutes before my therapist was ready to see me and each time the session was only about 20-25 minutes in length and half of that session was in regards to how tired they were from staying up too late the night before or they'd leave the room to go grab coffee or a snack or check on something while I'd awkwardly wait in their office wondering if I was boring them to death. When it finally did come to me talking and expressing my concerns and actually getting into the therapy aspect of it, it didn't feel like I was really being heard or understood but like I was talking to a wall.. they would simply nod, lack eye contact, continue typing into their laptop with the occasional "mhmm", and at the end of each appointment I'd leave feeling absolutely zero closure at all, but more like a number they had squeezed into their very tiring schedule. The only time their eyes lit up is when they talked about Christ or pressed on religious matters even though I had explained I was Athiest and I felt no comfort in faith. I understand this place is Christian based so it works for many patients that come here but since I'm not faith based and I felt our sessions going no where and continually leaving feeling more hopless than heard each time, I ended up getting help elsewhere. This place isn't awful and my review doesn't represent the staff as a whole because I'm not sure how the other doctors/therapists are, it just didn't work for me; the therapist I was given and the way they worked with me was just poorly done. read more

After 5 years of being a patient of Kenya Ballard, I get a message saying she will not be there after August 21st. Luckily I had an appointment this month so we could talk. I won't be coming back. I drive a two lane canyon road, 45 minutes. I won't do that to start over with someone new. If I need to start over, I will look closer to home. What a huge loss for your business:( read more

I'm leaving to another psychiatrist office because my psychiatrist Kenya Ballard is leaving. She was the only person who got me to stop pulling out my hair. She's very straight forward and honest and helpful. The male one triggered me by telling me he didn't want to see me go over 100 pounds and I've struggled with anorexia. I didn't feel I was in good hands with him. You don't give patients nutritional advice. He was super nice though. I felt bad and didn't want to hurt his feelings or make him feel bad but I had to switch to Kenya. Now she's leaving and so am I. read more

Terrible place, first time there, the directions were wrong and I called to let them know I was going to be late, I was ten minutes late, they charged me 50.00. I had to go back because the doctor, Saha, prescribes a specialty medicine, which is important to the quality of life of the patient. I expressed that I need this to be processed quickly. After four days, I tried calling the pharmacy where my insurance and her prescription was to be sent and they had no information. I then wrote their website a very informative letter with no response and now their office won't call me back and I am leaving town for three weeks. This shows the empathy, effort, and professionalism of this practice. They have no concern or care for their patients, with out this drug their is a possibility of death. read more

I found Jonathan Edens to be snippy, sassy, and cocky. During our appointment he criticized me harshly for small things and I had to put him in his place otherwise he probably would have continued to take out his anger on me. He was very flippant and did a lot of head wagging. He was nicer later until I left. As I was leaving I heard him saying some rather demeaning things about my appearance to the staff, the older blonde lady Terry Mauth and the young brown haired blue eyed girl. They actually left their desks to huddle around Jonathan Edens to ask personal questions about me. I was in a hurry so I did not have time to process it. I don't know if they are prejudice or just low class, but that's not nice. I guess this is what HIPPA is for. He probably needed some advice from qualified health professionals. read more

I wish you could give a place zero stars. I still struggle to talk about my past. A year ago I was put into a hospital from over dosing. After being released I looked for help& was referred to Beautiful minds. Thankfully, I had a good family support system because I would've been put back in the hospital after what Pam said to me. I went in for a consultation. Pam was asking me all the questions they have to. She asked me about the medication the doctors gave me and I said I'm only taking one out of the three, she asked why, I said because I'm not comfortable and scared to take the others. She replied with "you can take 20 pain pills at once but can't take these". I froze in shock. Who in the right mind says that to someone who is seeking help after freshly trying to commit suicide????? Because of her comment it was been so hard for me to seek help because I'm scared someone is going to judge me and make a comment like that again. Pam, you don't belong in that job, you are beyond unprofessional, you are lucky I didn't try to end my life after that comment. I hope no one goes to this place or if they do I hope they get someone who isn't this terrible. read more
