My mom specifically requested a pedicure for Mother's Day, so when I visited Northern Kentucky for my brother's wedding, we made a plan to get pedis together. She had passed Beautiful Nails before, and considering they take walk-ins, we decided to try it out. Now, I admit we didn't check the Yelp reviews before going, and perhaps if I had, I may not have agreed to get a pedi there. But was it as bad as one and a half stars? No, it was not. It was not the best pedi I've ever received, but also not the worst. We immediately got in, and the techs spent more time massaging our feet than I've had elsewhere, which I enjoyed. My mom was overjoyed with her pedicure, bragging about it after she left. Mine was ... OK. I left with paint on the skin around my nails, but my feet were definitely in better shape than they were when I went in. The price at about $30 was on par with what I've found elsewhere. Some other issues that are dropping my rating for this nail salon: There was clutter in the back of the salon, and some of the nail polish featured on the polish wall looked like it has seen better days. Some of the bottles were nearly empty with dried bits stuck to the bottles. If you're in need of a pedicure of manicure fast, though, this might be your spot. read more

I got a gel pedicure at Beautiful Nails on Sunday, 8/2, and today is Wednesday, 8/5. Already, three nails on my left foot and two nails on my right foot have completely lost the gel polish -- it has peeled off and is just gone. I'm not sure if the proper prep work wasn't done or if there was another issue, but it's extremely disappointing. I paid $65 plus tip for a gel pedicure, and within just a few days, half of the polish is missing. I expected it to last much longer, especially for the price. I have been getting my nails done for years and have never had a problem. i decided to try beautiful nails inwent there several times and always had to wait at least an hour. once they get you back they take at least 2 hours to get done. that being said like i said before i have never had a probllem until they talked me into doing the zen build up and i got an infection on mu nail. i went in to get them to take the rest of the nails off and they said i would have to wait at least an hour. they charge way much to make people wait that long. this was the worst nail experience i have ever had. i have spent himdreds nd hindreds of dollars here to end up with an infection. i am considering calling the board of health on them for how they practice read more

I can't go back for them to be fixed because I got my nails done before leaving for vacation! I wish I had my $100 and my time back. I was there for over two hours for a fill. The women doing my nails was watching her phone the whole time. The man next to me did 3 girls in the time I was done. She charged me $62 dollars for a fill in, putting one new nail on, almond shape and a basic blue color. My nails weren't even super grown out. I never wrote a bad review but the way Nancy treated me yesterday couldn't be left untold . Everybody from David, Wendy and Tim has been extremely nice over the years .I've been going to beautiful Nails for over 8 years and only had to deal with Nancy once when she started 3-4 years ago. What she did at the time was terrible but I was in a hurry yesterday and David was busy so I let her do my filling. She was hooked to her phone the entire time watching movies . I picked a color and decide to go for something lighter then she became furious and told me that I had to pay $10 extra because I changed my mind and I was wasting her time . This is the hardest comment I've ever had to post. First off I have been a customer of beautiful nails for over 15 years. Kevin refuses to do my nails because "I don't want to hurt you". I understand and have always felt ok about it. My last visit will honestly be my last visit. I've never been treated so poorly as I was treated by Wendy. I followed that with my manicure by David (who came highly recommended but he was my manicurist by happenstance!) who is just phenomenal and friendly and funny to talk to, and does a fabulous job on the nails! I got EXACTLY what I wanted! He offers recommendations, offers to make changes/adjustments to suit your wants/needs - great person! I had a great spa day there and will be going back repeatedly! No alcohol. No disinfectant. Nothing. Just a little box of tools. Well he pulled some out. A pair of cuticle nippers, a file, and a cuticle pusher. Being a paranoid person I started checking the tools. The file had white residue on it. And the nippers had OTHER PEOPLES CUTICLES ON IT. I promptly walked out. Obviously. I've gone here several times. In the beginning it was great I highly recommended it to everyone and Natilie was amazing; but recently they have hired help for the pedicures . Terrible Terrible Terrible-- first off the woman while trimming the cuticle cut my toe so bad in the corner that it bleed the entire rest of the pedicure, she put rubbing alcohol on the cut about 10 min later. When I went to put it in the water because she had just put it on the open wound still bleeding she told me, " No don't put that in the water, " I replied " it is burning, you just put that alcohol on the cut, ". Her response "ohhhh I forgot you had that ".. Than she was so busy talking to everyone that she missed steps on each leg / foot . One leg/ foot got scrub the other didn't .. One leg / foot got lotion the other didn't.. Im surprised all ten of my toes got painted. She did a horrible job of getting the dead skin off, the next day my feet were rough in spots, my toe hurt to even put a sock on for over a week because it got infected. The edge of the toe nails weren't painted. To say the least I will not go back and I will make sure everyone knows the experience I had. I have been here twice. I requested SNS the first time and waited about an hour then it took the tech two hours! I assumed it was her first time but did not return. Today I was in the neighborhood and needed my nails done so I thought I would give them another chance since it has been over a year. Mistake. Got in right away but the guy took an hour and a half to do my nails and the polish (shallac) is uneven and chunky (the best way to describe it) It seemed like it might have been HIS first time, also. But was charged $40.00! More than the other place I had been that did it in half the time!
