After leaving an honest review about a previous visit, I was personally contacted by the salon owner, Chi, who reached out with a sincere apology and invited me to return to Glamour Nails--this time booking directly with her. I truly appreciated her professionalism and willingness to make things right. For this visit, I went to the Glamour Nails 5 location and was immediately impressed. The salon was modern, spotless, and had a relaxing atmosphere. The receptionist was welcoming and seated me right away. I started with a gel pedicure, and although I didn't catch the name of the technician, she was incredibly kind and did an excellent job--attentive, detailed, and gentle. Chi then did my gel French set, and let me just say--she was absolutely amazing. I've been searching for a skilled nail tech since relocating from California, and Chi finally checked every box. She was quick, professional, kind, and incredibly talented. My nails turned out flawless--exactly the shape and style I love. This was my first time here. The salon is very nice but did not feel very welcomed by the gentleman when we entered the salon. The lady who did my fill-in was nice but her work was ok. My nail polish was not smooth on most nails; unfortunately, I didn't notice it until I got in the sun. Some nails were slightly bumpy and had small ridges. Perhaps the polish was old...IDK. The worst service ever! From the rude (I'm assuming salon manager)to the lack of any record of appointment being made. They whisk you back to the pedi chair where you continue to wait and wait. Service was not conducted by the person I booked with. $33.00 for a pedicure that barely has nail polish applied. The gel nails is another story..shaping and application so bad, in frustration, I peeled them off. Total bill $73.00. If I could rate less than one, I would. Will never be back. Terrible service We had an appointment for 2 pedicures. Finally seated 30 minutes late. The water in the tub was cold when we sat down. 20 more minutes go by until I decided to figure out how to turn on the water myself, that got someone's attention. So he came over and turned the water on full blast then left. Again had to try to figure it out myself before the tubs overflowed and our poor feet were boiled. At this point we're an hour in and no one has actually talked to us. Finally had 2 people come to do our pedicures! Yay! They cut both of my big toe nails back so far I thought they would bleed. I believe that this is the best nail salon in Union/ florence. Their staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating, no matter who you get. I suggest being vulnerable + precise when it comes to communicating what you want, that goes for whenever you get your nails done anywhere! Well.. considering I called in advance to make an appointment for a party of 6 to come in I definitely did not think that as a whole we would all have to wait at least 30 mins just to get the water turned on & for someone to start on our toes. After toes were finished I had asked the lady about the lash appointment I had made my mom, come to find out they most likely didn't even write it down. After all of that mess we were waiting for a nail tech to follow up with us for our manicures that were scheduled in advance once again. Needless to say I do love coming here when things run smoothly , but more times than not it never ends up like that. Very disappointed with the service and price gouging of the 3 teenage girls I sent in! One teen got a full acrylic set with a smiley face on 2 nails and was charged $75!!!! This was after they waiting 1-1/2 after their scheduled appointments!!! I usually come to this nail salon because its close to my home but NOT after my experience today. I am a very simple girl - pedi / SNS on nails (natural nails). Today I went in for my usual and the guy who did my pedi didnt bother to brush my feet - didnt complain - didnt ask how short I wanted my toenail - didnt complain - the massage - A COMPLETE JOKE - yet I didnt complain. I got seated for my SNS and told the lady that I wanted matte. She said ok. Towards the end of the application...I noticed that she is using a shiny coat. I told her that I wanted matte...she just says oh. She then asks me to go sit in the area to dry my nails...I say Mam you didnt finish applying the matte coat...and NO LIE...she says... "oh ill do them later". She walks over to grab another client and sits them in my seat. I tell the lady that I have to leave I cant be here all day...she legit grabs her matte polish and finishes my nail in the area where you sit to dry your nails. Waited for over an hour and was told that it would be a 30 minute wait. Absolutely ridiculous if you cannot guarantee a time frame, don't lie, and the lady working the front will not continue to follow up with you or anything. She will not keep you updated on where you are at on the list as well. I love this salon however I will not be back after this. And will encourage friends to go elsewhere due to their unprofessional and their lack of communication. I have better things to do with my time than sitting in a nail salon for an hour to even be spoken to after writing my name on a sheet of paper. I went there a little over a week ago to check it out. I get my nails done fairly often so I know how I like them. I had a horrible experience. I ask for my acrylic nails to be taken off and my natural nail to be done with French and she looked at me like I was dumb for doing that. They didn't get all the acrylic off so it looked chunky, I asked 2 times for them to do an extra coat of the white for the French bc I could still see through it and she completely ignored me. A week after they got done I found cracks in the paint and a couple days later half of them had little cracks.
