Terrible Service My family has scheduled appts for over a year and have always tipped the service. Today we had appt for 3 pedicures & 2 nails for 5pm. We arrived before 5pm and told we had a wait. We asked how long and they said at least 30 minutes. Then another customer comes in and they told her that her appt was tomorrow. She said she knew that and changed it I. Her phone. They took her right back to a foot chair. It was uncomfortable that a person without an app was taken back. I felt they were taking poor about us in their native language. They never apologized or updated us why we had a long wait. We left. We went to BELLAGIO Nail Salon. After we told the what happened, they fit us in and were very kind. We had different services at different times but all were done together. It's not nice to make fun of customers and take walk-in's over appts. This is just a nail appt gone bad and not a bad day, but rudeness is never good to experience it in a public setting. read more

Recently walked-in, and it was my first visit. I requested gel for myself, and regular pedicure for my mom. We immediately were seated and taken care of. My initial observation was how CLEAN, how BIG of a space it was, and that so many people were working for being open only about 15 minutes. I love a good just at/around opening walk-in to secure a quick pedicure. I wish I remembered names but both men were so kind, polite, and did an absolutely out of this world job on our feet. I'm a runner, and therefore my feet get ABUSED. Lol! He scraped up a good deal of callous that needed to go, and trimmed my nails perfectly. His system for the gel was probably the fastest I've seen and was done before my moms regular pedicure. A flawless job, truly. I can wait to come back for the rest of my summer pedicures. Just moved to the area from Bethesda and found this place close by. Depending on who you get as a nail tech, quality of workmanship varies. Overall stellar place. Price is still comparable to DC prices with about $5 cheaper for your usual gel mani gel pedi combo. Still my go to spot when I need a refresh. read more

I have been around most H'town nail salons-- those that weren't shabby out of the gate. We'll even a few of those too. I usually do regular nail services; but LOVE massage and pampering. So, I gave these guys a try. It started out a bit rough. My 1st time with dip on my nails. I am not familiar w. the process. I am used to pushing cuticles back, trimming, soaking, and waiting. Apparently not. Also, a bit of a language barrier, an up sell for tips on my short nails. No. (Be firm if it's not what you want). After we got thru that-- she did a FANTASTIC job. Looks fabulous!!! Toes too. She spent a bit of time on my ingrowns. (Not the best technique ever, but happy for the relief). I am a lotion snob, don't put cheap artificially dyed crappy lotion on me (other local salons). They have quality lotion here. Quality salon chairs, a restful atmosphere, and very nice staff. Watched Hockey, would of been nice if it was something else like nature channel or something other than sports! Very nice place. Very clean. I've been to this salon a handful of times, but the latest visit was incredibly unfortunate. I booked an appointment but still had to wait once I arrived. I needed an old thin layer of gel taken off that was e-field off in about three rounds which made my nails visibly thinner. This could've been avoided with a simple soak off, but I guess he was in a rush -- I was even nicked in the process. When it came time to style the nails, I asked for a specific style several times which he agreed he could do and then proceeded to do something completely different. When I politely questioned him, he made it seem like I was demanding something that did not exist and rallied several techs in the salon complaining about my request (a simple clear dip layer underneath gel polish for added strength). We went back and forth for a bit and he finally did what I asked. As a woman who is very non-confrontational, it made me extremely uncomfortable to have to defend myself to several people for a simple ask that was supposed to be a relaxing visit to the salon. I ended up quietly crying while he finished my French nails and hesitated to speak up about how the arches of my French polish were not to my liking. You can see in the picture they are uneven and have a really shallow arch. Two hours later, I still was expected to pay full price and felt pressured to leave a tip because my tech was the one ringing me up. I have never felt more uncomfortable being serviced in my life and I'm sad to say that this salon has lost my business. read more

Not a good spot to get your nails done at. Made a appointment for me and my gf at 6:15pm didn't get started into around 6:30pm. To START: They set appointments and still have you wait. I had an appointment for nails and feet with a specific tech. Once arriving for the appointment it was either wait, or allow someone else to .... (At this moment the nail tech sees me writing this review, that i decided to start writing because she was being RUDE, a small altercation happened so i paused the writing) So let me just say this, she sees me writing the review and she starts going off on me about how she doesn't care and all this. I simply told her that's okay, (i never told her i was writing it she saw it and decided to speak on it) As she's working on my right hand during this whole thing - she decides to shove my hand towards her coworker to show him my nails as she's talking shit in their language. I pulled back and let her know that she was still being rude and that is considered ASSAULT, and NOT TO TOUCH ME. At that point i asked if someone else could finish my nails so that i could just go. She jumps up, and yells NO, and insisted that she will finish them. I told her NO, i did not want her touching me anymore or doing my nails. I also told them i was leaving if no one else could finish the service. At this point little miss Bella decides to GRAB at my wrist AGAIN. 2nd assault. Bad idea. I curse her out and let them know I'm leaving and on my way out she screams i need to pay. I kindly tell her i will NOT! If you are a black person, apparently your money isn't good enough for them. The only reason I frequent here is because I'm new to town and haven't found anyone else. Never again. I never mentioned that this was my third time in this week. Yesterday i was supposed to have my nails done but they asked me to come back tomorrow. I'm easy going and i didn't want to wait so i said no problem. To come in today and that's what i got. Being a business owner myself, I can understand overbooking can be frustrating. But the worst thing is to take it out on a customer. But i can't really say that was the reason because they were nice to everyone else. I WILL BE FILING ASSAULT CHARGES did i mention Bella also burned my eyebrow on Sunday and messed up my arch and tried to cover it with a BLACK brow pencil. Horrible horrible customer service! The owner looked up from his manicure, scowled and did not speak. I asked if there was a problem. He said nothing. I showed him the confirmation on my phone, he scowled again, I left. First and last time customer. Went in for a gel pedicure. I told the lady I wanted my nails really short. She insisted that I didn't. None of the tools were sanitized. She pulled them out of a nasty tote container. I asked her if they were dirty but of course she acted like she didn't understand that. She felt my heels and went to go get the the heel cleaner out of the tote and it was COVERED in nasty skin from someone else. I gave her a disgusted look. I looked away and she quickly threw the heel cleaner INTO MY WATER BOWL. I quickly pulled my feet out. Floors are dirty covered in mail dust around manicure stations. One customer was getting a manicure but it looked like it hadn't been swept in a long time. read more

He would hurt me as he was doing my nails. Leaving the Dremel on my nail for too long and burning my nail bed. Trying to pick off my nails. Always wanted payment in cash so he wouldn't have to pay credit card fees or pay taxes on the money. Always obliged, I would go to the ATM before coming into the nail salon. I needed to find a nail salon. I read the reviews about this place and decided to try them out. I have been getting pedicures for over 10 years. This was the worst one I have ever had. Not only did the person cut two of my toes but, I it was painful throughout the whole ordeal. After pointing out that my toes were cut and bleeding, I believe the person said sorry and kept butchering my toe nails. Run away from this place before they butcher your toes!!!! read more

I rarely write reviews, but I feel like I must as this is something I've been thinking about for a week. I have been here 4 times, and while I am still a bit unfamiliar with the process of getting my nails done (mostly used to do them myself), the first 3 times were mostly enjoyable. The staff was friendly, both manicures and pedicures I've gotten were really well done, and I was overall satisfied with the work. This last time (about a week ago) I went in to get a dip set. This was only my 3rd time ever having dip done, so even understanding what to ask for or the removal process is something I'm still learning. The first time i had my dip removed here, a really nice man worked on my nails and took the time to gently file the nails and dissolve the remnants in acetone. It took a while, but it was painless and I assumed that was the correct way to remove dip. This past week, Tony was working on my nails. I believe there were a lot of appointments so they were feeling rushed, but I had called in a few days prior so it was no problem. The minute he saw my nails, he started picking at the parts that were coming loose. I assumed this was normal, and figured he would just pick those loose pieces and file and dissolve the rest. Well I was very wrong. He did file them, but he proceeds to pick off the rest of the dip with either his finger or pliers. It actually really hurt, i was signaling this with my hands almost instinctively pulling back when Tony says, "move your hand up. I am not going to hurt you." I was in shock and honestly just didn't know what to say. He filed some of my nails too low to the point that they were sensitive and sore. I can only imagine the damage the picking of the dip caused my nails and nail beds. It was even to a point that in the process of ripping the remnants off, two of my natural nails were broken (pictures below), when I asked about the broken, hanging nail, he told me to not worry and he would fix it as he applied the dip. It was honestly just a shocking experience that is questioning me going back. I should have been more firm in the moment, but i was at a loss for words. I don't know if this is protocol, or in the response of trying to get in waiting customers but I had a really bad feeling about this and just wanted to share. read more

The lady doing my toes tried to get her to calm down but they just kept screaming at each other. It was very uncomfortable. Sad to say this because the staff really is so kind; however, the past 3 or 4 times I have made an appointment, they have left me waiting for 45 minutes to an hour after my appointment time, while they continued to take walk in appointments before me. I understand that they don't want to leave people waiting, but I make appointments for a reason. I have been willing to wait in the past, because they do a great job on nails, but I feel like my time has not been respected the past couple of times I have been to the shop. Today a lady came in and clearly said she was early for her appointment (her appointment time was 30 minutes AFTER mine) and she was still taken before me. Additionally, a walk-in appointment was taken before me and then once her service was done (45 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment time), she was told she did not have to pay for her service and she left with just a "Thank you, I will be sure to write a review." I was finally sat 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I wish I didn't have to write this review, and I wish them the best, but they should respect their returning customers' time more. read more

If zero stars were possible. Made an appointment with Tony three days in advance. When I arrived for appointment the first tech that was finished was who I was assigned to. After waiting 15 min for someone to finish, this is a common theme as I had my nails done at least 4 people came in behind me all waited 20-30 min for an appointment. After an hour I left with my nails done only to return 20 min later with bubbling paint, had to be re done by Tony who should have kept the appointment in the first place, after 2 hours of my time and Tony re shaping filing and painting my nails I had fungus next time I went to get them done two weeks later. Worst experience in 28 years of having my nails done. Just relocated to this area one year ago, no luck in finding a consistent quality tech. read more

I visited for the first time yesterday for a fill. Had an appointment. They overbook, leave clients waiting. It took 2 technicians to do my fill. First technician was rough, had to pull away, was burning. Asked for squoval shape, she made them square, had to reshape, they were still too square, so reshaped again, which left my nails shorter than what I wanted. Then she left me to service another client, had to wait on manager to get back from Burger King to finish my service. Trimmed cuticles with dirty nippers/ had pink polish on them. I saw no barbicide/disinfectant for implements. Did not see any license posted. According to Md. law, license are to be displayed at their stations with a photo. Was very disappointed.
