I got a wedding invitation from a friend that were really nice and when I asked where she got them from she stated Beautiful Wedding Announcements. I never heard of them before and I was in the process of searching for invites myself, so I looked them up online. I asked for a sample and got a response back the next day stating that my sample would be ready the following day. If I remember correctly, I believe you can make multiple changes within 2 emails or so to a sample then they would charge you a designer's fee. Luckily, I knew what I was looking for and was able to get within the 1st email. They were very prompt in answering me and changing things as requested. I asked for their opinion on some font and color and I loved what they came up with. I will be recommending them to all my friends and family! read more

I first heard of Beautiful Wedding Announcements (BWA) at a local bridal expo. They were offering a great discount off my future (bundled) order if I placed a $50 deposit which was completely refundable. After looking at their samples, I decided to bite the bullet and was also able to take home a sample kit of their various invitations including paper types. The sample kit included some great options and my now husband and I also perused their website for additional options. Ultimately we decided to order our invitations, inserts, envelopes with pre-printed addresses, and thank you postcards (also with pre-printed addresses) from them. We wanted a certain aesthetic/look across all the items and they were able to do a custom design for us. We elected to pay the additional fee to review printed proofs which was well worth it as we had to request some revisions which they promptly made. The communication was good overall and they would tell us way in advance when the office would be closed for certain holidays. It helped that we did a lot of things in advance as we started working on our invitations about 7 months out due to several out-of-state guests and we had our invitations, inserts, and envelopes in hand by 6 months out. Many of our guests complimented our invitations and said they were fancy and the theming was beautiful. :) After our photographers sent us our photos after the wedding, we sent them 2 photo options of what we were considering for our thank you postcards. They carried over elements of the design of our invitation which was a nice tie-in and created two versions of the postcard using both photos. We picked one and didn't opt for a printed proof this time; we just went with a digital proof. When the order arrived, we noticed there was a snafu with some of pre-printed addresses as some only printed the recipients' name(s). We notified them right away and they apologized. It seemed there'd been an issue at the printers and they let us know they'd reprint either the entire run or just the incorrect ones free of charge. We provided them with a spreadsheet with just the affected recipients and we received the replacement ones with correct addresses soon thereafter. All in all, I was very happy to do business with them and if I ever need custom invitations again, I'd consider BWA again. read more

These people are SO unprofessional. My best friend decided to go through these guys to do her wedding invitations. Don't make the same mistake as her! These people left on a trip and took their printer with them, delaying a week's worth of printing. She ordered her invitations a month ago!!! Her wedding is in just a few weeks and she still has not gotten invites sent out because of these fools. Don't trust them. They are not professionals. STAY AWAY!!! Small horse and pony show. Not only could they not find me (initially) after paying my $50 off deposit they also claimed I did not approve the print - despite me resending the email saying "Approved". The owner, Colette, indicated that is not an approval, according to her standards. She even told me she recalled our conversation AND my email!!! But somehow that doesn't constitute and approval. I paid my invoice 3 weeks ago, there's been no follow up, NOTHING. I finally called today for a status and they haven't even been ordered. When I tried to state my case she wouldn't let me talk and then hung up on me. $120 in so far. I'll be contesting with my credit cards company but, do yourselves a favor and DO NOT WASTE your time OR money!!! Damn Thieves! read more

DON'T DO IT .. Here I am 2 months from my wedding and this ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE company has FAILED. Run from their BOOTH at the wedding expo and save the $50. This Mom and pop JOKE of a company will be the biggest mistake you'll ever make. They're disorganized, dishonest, and blatantly misleading. They send pictures of OTHER PEOPLES WORK off of Pinterest claiming this is what they can do for you. Each email will come from a different person none of which seem to be actually in communication with each other. After weeks of delays, excuses, lies, broken promises, ect...THEN it's revealed that 1. Their design proof is not even what you asked for 2. In order to get what you ACTUALLY asked for and was promised THEY'RE GOING TO CHARGE YOU HUNDREDS OF ADDITIONAL DOLLARS never mentioned before. 3. Got a text from beautiful wedding announcements letting me know that I won a prize. Upon asking them about the prize, they would give me free save the dates or thank you cards if I bought invitations through them. I checked out their designs and prices online to see if I would like anything. They offer a free sample pack which I got. I highly recommend that! They send you several samples of various designs they do. After seeing that they integrate photos into invitations I was sold. I contacted them and they always answered promptly, same day during business hours or the next business day. We did everything by phone and online. I called them for a consultation which they took note of what I was looking for until I was ready to order since my wedding wasn't for another year. When time came close, they would send me examples online. I ordered save the dates and invitations through them and I couldn't be happier. They allow the client to design anything including font, color, wording, and setup. If I wanted to change anything, I would just email them back with changes. It was very convenient being from out of state. Their pricing is awesome although shipping is not included and may be expensive but it still comes out to be a good price. I would recommend starting the process early so it allows them time to make changes. My save the date was quick but my invitations took several weeks since I kept making changes and fixing typing errors. They always print extra for you so that's a total plus! TERRIBLE! Worse experience I ever had with any business. First off, I met some of this company's employees at a bridal show in portland OR and decided to work with them. Worse mistake ever. Here are the major issues with this company: 1) SLOW/Inefficient/terrible product - It took ~ 4-5 weeks for all the parts of our invitations to arrive because the RSVP envelopes they sent were too small (TWICE!!!) It took them THREE (yes THREE) tries to send us the correct size envelopes for our RSVP cards. 2) Horrible customer service - When designing our wedding invitations, they gave us the option to work with one designer. we thought that was a great idea (to help streamline the process). However this was not granted. We had to deal with multiple designers and communicate with multiple staff members. Each time we spoke to someone, we had to explain what we wanted over and over again. It was a waste of time and energy. In addition, when they sent us the wrong sized envelopes TWICE, they refused to comp us anything (in fact, we even had to pay the shipping the second time they sent the envelopes). They refused to give us any sort of discount on the invitations we had already ordered. They offered to give us Free Thank you Cards but we said HECK NO!!!! I would rather pay full price for thank you cards from a reliable company, than get free cards from a crappy company like this! Bottom line- Do NOT Use this company. They do not know how to deal with customers, the process will take twice as long as it should and you will be very disappointed in the final product/your experience. read more

They kept telling us their email was down, it took us 3 weeks to get three changes made to our addressing and design, simple changes. I waited almost a week for a response from them and we are now behind schedule for our announcements. I do not recommend, spend your money on a better service. read more

my experience with this company started off great! I received notification that I won free thank you cards and discounted save the dates if I purchased my invitations through them. I ordered our save the dates immediately. I designed them at home and sent over what I wanted. They were able to accommodate well and get the save the dates shipped out quickly. Then all hell broke loose as I tried to design the invitations. They were very difficult to work with! Every time I tried to design something to give them an idea of what I wanted, they said it wouldn't work on their template and were not helpful in redesigning or figuring out a way to make it work. I even went so far as to photoshop the image so it would fit on their template and they said it still wouldn't work. I called them to see if maybe they weren't understanding what I was hoping for. I thought maybe I explained it in a Funny way via email... the designer was EXTREMELY rude to me and said that she "didn't want to waste her time designing it if I wasn't going to buy". There was never a moment in the conversation that I said I wasn't going to purchase from them. It was my intention to do all possible to purchase from them with the thought I would end up saving money. I tried again to design something completely different in hopes that the new design would work. Unfortunately, I was at a loss again. I called once more and talked to the secretary who was very nice. She said the designer was in a meeting but took notes of the details I wanted and would give the info to the designer asap. She said I should get a new proof by the end of the day. I waited 2 days before receiving the new proofs, and the design was exactly the opposite of what I wanted. The photo I wanted on the front, was on the inside. The photo I wanted on the inside was on the back. It looked as if they just threw the images on their template and didn't even care if the photos were centered or not. Finally I decided that saving the money wasn't worth the major headache or the time I've waisted. I went to another company (wedding paper divas) and was able to design my invitations, rsvp cards, and enclosure cards right on their website with total ease (took maybe 20 min). The designer called me as soon as he received the order with any questions/changes he recommended. Now I am just waiting for my invites to come in the mail. Don't waste your time with this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I met with a rep at a bridal show and was sucked in by their offer of free save the dates. We put down a deposit for our invites to get the free save the dates. When they were printed, half of the cards our guests received were smeared. They apologized for the bad printing and that was it. For our invitation suites, long story short, we paid to have stamps put on our RSVP envelopes. Our invitations went out last week and there were NO STAMPS on the envelopes. Our guests now think we are cheap and there is no way to redo it. I called them and they refunded me for the stamps they didn't put on, but when I was on the phone for two days in a row I was not offered any other refund for the mistake. It's not just about the money, it's about our invitations being done correctly, which they weren't. The person I spoke with was rude too. Don't use this company - pay more for one that actual cares about your wedding day! read more

I went to the wedding expo here in SLC and entered their drawing. I got a text a week or so later saying I won the second place prize, free thank you cards with any invitation purchase. I was excited to work with them because I really liked their designs. We corresponded back and forth for about two weeks. Then when I let them know when I was available for our consultation, I never got a response. I tried three more times over a few day period and still nothing. Yes I could've called but honestly, not even a follow up call or text from them? Not professional at all and very disappointing. Guess it's not that important to them. This is the worst experience of my wedding planning. I met with them at a bridal show here in Phoenix in January. We paid a down payment and offered half off of our invites (if we purchase 2 upgrsdes) which sounded great. Now fast forward to now (May) and not only do they not send weekly emails to keep me in the loop, but we are going on week 2 of proofing my invites. I figured if I did the design myself it would go super quickly.... but nope. Everytime someone emails back, it is someone new..... and if you have any hopes of having multiple interactions in the same day, FORGET IT. No one over there talks to one another and when I call to try and see what's up, their customer service talks to you as if you are the biggest idiot in the world. I want to like this company so badly, but they work hard to make it known that your order is not important to them. read more

Came across Beautiful Wedding Announcements at a bridal expo in Anaheim,CA. Spoke to Kristen initially and was able to get our thoughts and ideas on how we want our invitations to look. Most websites online require you to choose a template, and little customization is available, whether its just color or font. With Beautiful Wedding announcements, you are in charge of choosing your design, fonts, colors, and the price you get for the amazing quality is well worth it! The only hard part is if you are an out-of-state bride which I am, the emails you send back and forth to them are answered by a different rep/worker each time. It is hard for you to keep constant communication with one person particularly working. I would suggest multiple email addresses for each person working there. They do respond quickly, and are flexible with work schedules/time zones. The service was great, they should include the shipping costs as a standard price, because I was not notified about shipping until after our design was made. My invitation are beautiful and they are elegant and work perfectly with our theme. All my guests who are RSVP'ing back to us are raving about how beautiful they do look! I got the design I wanted at a budget friendly cost. I love the invitations and they make me smile every time I look at them. This place is the best place in the valley to get wedding invitations done. They have multiple styles and formatting to personalize your invitations. You work one on one with a designer; you tell them an idea that you have, and they'll make it happen. Their printing process is quick as well. They are able to print and process the invitations 3 to 4 days after finalizing the design. I would highly recommend getting any type of invitations done here. read more

While planning my wedding, I work at a gym for older people. I was talking to one of the members about our wedding planning and how expensive invitations seemed to be. He mentioned his granddaughter just got married and her invitations were very cute and inexpensive. He brought in his granddaughters invitation for me to see. I loved it! I showed it to my husband and went online being the place is in Utah and I'm in California. I was a bit hesitant being I'm very hands on and a perfectionist. I called the place and spoke to someone and told them my worries about the thank you cards and what not. She was very friendly and very helpful. I decide to do the Save the date cards with this company to see how they turned out. Everything was very Efficient, quick and easy to communicate. Once we revived our save the date cards (right away) we got more than we paid for! Very sweet of them. They were amazing! Every one loved our save the date! We proceeded to order our invitations through them, and I can not complain! They were very helpful through the whole process, answered all my questions, inexpensive, beautiful, and loved the way they turned out! Next, after you put the deposit down, you have TWO chances to create your perfect wedding invitations. TWO! Their big thing is how they will ship them out the next business day, while mine took about 3 days at least. One lie right there. We met Sarah from Beautiful Wedding Announcements (BWA) at the Spectacular Bridal show in Las Vegas last year and we are so glad we did. We had previously gotten a quote from Papyrus which was over $1000, I don't remember the actual amount. After talking to BWA at the bridal show, and a few other companies, we decided to put down the $50 (refundable) deposit, which also entitled us to 100 free save the date magnets. The save the dates came out beautifully and we got so many compliments on them. We looked a couple other places for the invitations but in the end decided to stay with BWA. Their prices couldn't be beat and the attention to detail was impeccable. We did work with a few different designers throughout the process, but overall it was a pretty smooth process. Most everything was done via email with the occasional phone call. We love them and will definitely be recommending them to everyone we know. read more

I loved working with this company for my wedding announcements! I found them because I was impressed with my friend's announcement and wanted a similar one. BWA did a great job in making the invitation exactly as I described, changed the few tiny things I included in the second email, and had them printed and ready incredibly fast. The customer service was fantastic: very responsive and understanding. The quality was great (no problems withs smears or wrong sizes etc.) and many of our guests praised our announcements saying that they were one of the prettiest/classiest/nicest etc. they'd seen. I love this place. Their office is nothing special, and it's kind of tucked away, but their prices and service is great. I picked out exactly what I wanted beforehand so the designer and I just quickly put it together. I got 350 5x7 invitations plus inserts and envelopes for I think $256. They're gorgeous too! They used fonts and graphics that would have been too expensive for me to buy and design myself. Plus they did printing and cutting for me. All I had to do was pick them up, and it only took them 2 business days to have them ready for me after I approved the design. This is the perfect place for someone who has a vision for their invitations and wants to make it come to life. They don't do specialty printing, like with foil. I don't know that I'd recommend it for someone with little to no design background--you could end up with poor design and font choices, but I bet if you asked for the designers' input, they'd steer you in the right direction. :-) Five stars! read more

Run away from their "good deal." Back in January when I attended a Bridal show I was hooked on their great deal of put $50 down to get 50% off everything. I put the $50 deposit down to secure my amazing discount. A month or so later they hit you with an email explaining that the only way to get that 50% off is to order 3 things. That was not said during the bridal event at all, but I figured that was fine because I was still getting a deal. Once I started the communication with the designers it all went downhill. They say you work with one designer, I talked to several people and they obviously don't communicate with each other because I had to explain what I wanted multiple times. Communicating with me was great, I got several emails in a day, that's the only reason I gave them 2 stars and not 1. After a while and through multiple emails, we finally got the invites how I wanted them. I asked about RSVP cards and although this is mostly on myself because I "ok'd" the proof that wasn't my colors, you'd think that a company who makes wedding invites for a living would ask about colors, but I guess not. They emailed and texted me about paying the balance but wouldn't say how much shipping is. Said they could only tell me the price of shipping AFTER the balance had been paid. What kind of business practice is this? I've worked retail and now own my own business and I ALWAYS know and am upfront about shipping costs. I called and the person who picked up was less than nice and was unsure about giving me the shipping amount until I paid. After a 4 minute hold, she came back and told me. Thankfully it wasn't unreasonable but it just seems sketchy that they refuse to tell you how much shipping is until it's paid in full, I've never known a business to do this. Fast forward a week later, I get 58 RSVPs when I paid for 75 and the Thank You's were in the box when I was told I could design them after. I do not recommend this service. They messed up the font in the invitations which we didn't notice at first. Looks like the printer or sales folks don't even look at them for these kinds of errors. They agreed to reprint them but we had to travel 60 miles again to pick them up a second time!! And they weren't very apologetic. Now I noticed the address to the reception is wrong although I corrected it online (which they admit). They are printing them for a third time!!! They refuse to give me any discount on their horrible mistakes because "it's not their policy." Obviously the customer does not come first with this company!!! read more

We did finally end up with wedding announcements that we liked, but we had difficulty working with this company. We first met with someone who designed an announcement for us that just did not look very attractive. We tried asking her what we could do to fix it, and she kept saying, "Whatever you want," even when we asked more specific questions. That was not helpful. We are not professional graphic artists. We went to BWA because we expected that they were. The next time we went, we met with someone else. She seemed not to like what had already been done, either, and set about changing almost everything (font size, spacing, etc.) herself. She talked to us about options that were never mentioned during our first consultation, and we ended up with a design that we loved. We received our proof and checked everything meticulously. Ours was a gate fold type announcement, so we even cut it out and folded it to make sure the two halves lined up and the color was uniform. Good thing! When we received our complete order, one side had a slightly green cast. When the announcements were folded together, they looked terrible. Very amateurish. We felt bad because we knew reprinting them would be expensive for the company, but we also would have been embarrassed to send them out. I took everything back. This time I believe I was working with one of the owners. He finally did make it right, but he was very reluctant. At first, he would not even acknowledge that there was a problem. He consulted someone else who agreed that, yes, the color was off. He then asked to see my proof, and I am positive that if the color distortion had been present there, we would just have been out of luck. To his credit, once he realized he WAS going to have to reprint, he used his editing software to correct an additional blemish that was present on our original photo. We got the second printing back, and they looked fine. We were going to order thank you notes from BWA, but ended up buying some off the shelf. They just were not very pleasant to work with. Bottom line: I think you can get beautiful wedding announcements from them However, it is kind of hit-or-miss on who you work with, and YOU need to be the quality control, since they apparently do not check the first announcement carefully before printing the entire order. If you order a folded announcement, cut out the proof and fold it to make sure everything matches, even though they do not say you need to. One last complaint - BWA recently requested reviews from previous customers. They said they wanted to know, both good and bad, so they could improve. I submitted a review that was almost identical to this one. I told my husband I would be very surprised if they posted it on their website, and I was right. It never appeared, even though reviews submitted after mine have posted. I had given them three of five stars, but I believe the deception and misrepresentation of their customer feedback is worth an additional drop. Two stars. read more

Just had our invitations printed with this company. They did an okay job. But the gave us envelopes that were to small, mind you we paid close to 30.00 for custom envelopes. when followed up about the mistake that THEY had made, they were rude, unhelpful and offered for us to pay more. When I asked to speak to a manager, they said she was not in so i asked the to have the manger call me when he was. Well the the owners daughter then preceded to call my fiancee and was rude, disrespectful and impatient. I will never do business with this pathetic company again. They are a waste of money. I paid 260.00 for blurry invitations and envelopes that didn't fit and customer service that was terrible. Our experience with Beautiful Wedding Announcements was fantastic! Everyone we spoke with was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They were very responsive throughout the whole design process which was very important to us, seeing as we live in Washington and did all of the design work through email/phone conversations. Their designers picked up on what we were looking for very quickly and had designs for us within one day. When we wanted things changed, the adjustments were made equally quickly and they made us feel like we could ask them to change a hundred things and they would be just as accommodating with each one. Once we settled on our final design, they sent us 7-10 different proofs on different papers so that we could choose exactly the style we wanted. I can't say enough about how easy it was to customize our invites and how great their service was, especially since we never once set foot in the store to sit down with someone! Horrible company!!! I, like everyone else was drawn to them at their booth at the San Diego bridal bazaar. I "won" free save the dates. I decided to give them a try and sent them a sample of a save the date that I saw online that I wanted. When they eventually sent me a template back showing me what their design was, it was terrible. It looked like a 5 yr old designed it on a computer. I had unfortunately already put down a deposit. I contacted them to tell them that i did not want to go with their company and wanted a refund. They proceeded to tell me that I would not get a full refund back, which was not told to me in the beginning of all of this. I had to fight them tooth and nail to get my full refund back! I found this business at a bridal trade show. They told me if I booked an appointment with them at the trade show I would get 25% off my wedding invitations so I booked an appointment then they told me if I brought my own design they would give me an additional $30 off. They had me spin a wheal to win a prize which was free thank you cards. When I went to my appointment I asked about all these things and one girl was really rude to me saying "we never give discounts with a prize" another girl said she would check with her boss and see what he would say. I continually had to call them because they would never get back to me and when I finally got a hold of them they told me that even though their employee told me that, they wouldn't give me the discount's they promised. Not only did they take forever, miss quote me, promise me extras and then failed to deliver, but then they tried to stick me with subpar invitations. From our first phone "meeting" to when we finally agreed on the final product, it took over two month! They bounced me around to 8+ people to "help" me. When we got one proof, the pictures were all grainy and low quality. When I asked if it was just that way because it was a quick proof, they tried to tell me that my photos were poor quality and low resolution. I checked my files and checked with my photographer (who I sadly had to get involved with arguing with them too), they were just downloading them in low resolution, but tried to blame us for that too. They then overcharged us form the quote they gave, claiming hidden fees, over charged us for shipping. They promised us 50 thank you cards but then said that since we had so many issues, we were no longer elegiable for them. Seriously, I would never recommend them to anyone. read more
