The facial was pretty good, but made me break out terribly afterwards. Used it as a groupon deal and got a cream and $100 gift certificate. I saw someone else here complained about the lady almost giving a sales pitch about the membership, I definitely felt pressured and ended up not doing it. My appointment was moved twice in the last moment, third time when I showed up for my appointment they couldn't find my name in the books at all. And all that manager wanted to do, was to add a penny treatment add on to the facial which I already been charged for. I hope I get my money back for the treatment I have not received. "with that attitude we dont want your business" is what I was told by the owner. I gave them 1 star for their employees. I felt as though a section of my face after a laser treatment wasnt consistent. I asked if I could retreat one section but was told they would have to retreat the entire area at my cost I originally paid. In response the owner left me a voice explaining following with a threat " you can try to get out of your contract but you will loose"! Then he followed up with this email. Hmmm...interesting.  I tried to work with you...I nicely explained what occurred and offered you an incredible deal to get what matches your expectations.  No other Spa our PST treatment (type of machine).  No other Spa had Botox Club for $99 a month and gives you over $1,200+ worth of Free Med Spa Products and Services. No other Spa has over 6,000 5-star reviews...and with best-of-the-best Nurse Injectors.. Your loss..I tried. With that kind of attitude; we prefer to not have your business! I absolutely did not threaten you...I simply explained our agreement that you signed...you got too offended over nothing. I never write reviews, but I was treated with such kindness and compassion over the phone with Sara this morning, that this place deserves a 5-star review just for how my unique situation was handled, alone. I used to come and see one of the nurses for my Botox over a year ago, but she is no longer there. I ran into multiple issues with the previous manager, Salvie, and it left such a bad taste in my mouth that I didn't think to return for a long time. It seems as though the change in management has made a huge difference! Sara listened to me, and addressed all of my concerns. She stayed on the phone with me for almost 20 minutes and knew exactly what I was talking about before I had to start repeating other people's past mistakes. I will be back in for an appointment next week to see Mary, and was assured I would be in excellent hands! To allow us to all get in at the same time,the spa brought in a 3rd aesthetician early! Very helpful & accommodating. The facial with microdermabrasion & LED rejuvenation was wonderful. Relaxing and I thought we all looked pretty good after! Mikki was my aesthetician and she had a very gentle touch. The staff was welcoming and friendly. After reading a few reviews I was concerned about a hard sell for future treatments, but this did not happen at all. I realize the purpose of a Groupon is to drive business and sales. I expect to be given an overview of the product line and to be encouraged to visit again. It would be a poor business practice to not do that. I started a new job and really needed a break. They say stress shows up fast on your skin/face. I'm also "catching up" from months of no income, so any personal pampering is a stretch - a real luxury. The ladies at the International Skin Care Institute get it! Even though I am not (yet) a regular customer, they treated me no differently than a VIP. What a treat! From being greeted at the desk to checking out, every moment was delightful. The LED experience allowed me to relax and enter into the evening. Esthetitian Ginger is exquisite -- she is absolutely meticulous about the treatments she provides. The hour + I spent with her was an enriching experience. She encouraged me to relax, yet she thoughtfully followed my lead in sharing ideas on everything from skin care to energy psychology to families. The Institute does hope that you will become a regular. I don't blame them for working to gain customer relationships and loyalty, yet there was never any hard sell; nor did I feel any disappointment when I explained that I needed a few more months of a regular salary before I could treat myself to their brand of TLC. The front desk girls, Julie, Kathy and Sydney have always been such good energy, friendly greetings upon entrance and exit every time, very kind and professional. I went in the for my first botox ever, i had already paid for 20 units and i was talked into buying more. Was told that the center line between my eyes probably needed 10 units by itself, so i bought another 20 units since they are the experts and it was my first time. Was told it would take 5-7 days to see results i saw results in all areas except the line between my eyes the only area that was of concern to me. After two weeks i went in for a follow up and she said well " I wrote on your chart that you needed a filler that the botox was not going to do it". So why did they sell my another 20 units?? If she already knew that the amount i had bought was not going to do me any good why still sell me more??? I was not happy i felt that all they cared about was making more of a sale. The nurse Alizia followed me out to the front and started to try to justify to the receptionist why i was upset as there are other customers in the sitting area. Kept pointing at my forehead and telling them that the line between my eyes was just to deep for botox and that i needed a filler. Patient confidentiality ??? I just ended up walking out. I feel that they just cared about making a sale. I am a very loyal customer and would have continued services through that spa not not anymore and i would not recommend anyone go there. The Groupon i bought was for 20 Units of Botox with Computer Face Analysis, LED Skin Rejuvenation & Skin Serum. I was neven gien a computer face analysis not a serum. John (the owner) was incredibly rude to me on the phone and simply hung up the phone on me! And on top of everything, I still have crooked eyebrows as a result from my last visit! Just Minimalist Fair. 3 Stars. 2nd Visit April 2 2015--- Saw Joanna Patton. I plan on going back to see her again. Her "Touch" is all of these- Gentle, Firm, Tender, Soft, Smooth, Efficient, Quiet, Warm, Genuinely Caring, Playful. She did a NUMBER of things to help my skin- Blackhead extractions, Seaweed Mask, Mild Salicylic Acid Peel for my breakouts, and several other additions that Trisha did not. She also gave me the 'Best' Arm, Hand, Neck, Head, Trapezius/Upper back massage I've ever received from an esthetician. (I've seen about 30-40 so far in my life). She works in perfect timing without hurrying up or skipping steps. I felt like I received a LOT for 45 minutes with her. (45 instead of 60 because I was late. And yet I felt like I received 5x MORE from Joanna in 45 mins, in Quality & Quantity, than from Trisha in 60!) Warm Gentle Understated Demeanor. Excellent. 5 Stars. I have been coming to this business for at least 5 years and am always pleased with the service. Tisha Rose is excellant at facials. I LOVE how their facials are 90 minutes and include an LED light, microderm and facial, makes me feel like I am really getting a lot of value. I bought a facial for my husband 2 years ago and he still has not used it. I called them the other day to ask them how much more I needed to pay so that he could still use it and they said they would honor the price of the facial I purchased from two years ago! Their customer service is excellent. I have not had a chance to visit the new location due to wedding and a new baby and a lot of things going on however I hoping to get in there soon now that things have calmed down and get another package. read more

This was my third facial at ISCI and it seems every time I go they keep getting better. :-) I originally tried an ISCI facial from a groupon offer, and then eventually became a member. Typically I am a facial and spa opportunist through Groupon or Living Social offers, but in this case I felt confident I would continue to get great service at reasonable prices if I just stick with their program, and so far I'm not disappointed! The aesthetician creates a custom facial based on your individual skin care needs and then wraps everything up with extractions, massage, microderm, and serums to hopefully erase some years. My first two were with Joanna, she is great. But my last one and reason for writing this review is Ginger. From her calm and sweet demeanor and explanation of products to her awesome fall-asleep-yes-please-again massage, and her determination to get those stubborn extractions done, I'm hooked with her. The membership is about $80 for a year of discounted services and products. So far the products I've purchased I've been super happy with -an eye cream and super serum to erase lines. Better yet, I find the prices extremely fair and much less expensive than some of the Mario Bascudo, Philosophy or Dermologica brands that brag about similar results. I don't think I'll be disappointed with commiting to ISCI and to gradually try more advanced services. I'm excited for my next visit with Ginger already! read more

The services are good with kind staff. The negative review is do to the deceptive pricing. I was a regular client and I purchased their natural sunscreen in 7oz bottles at $29. Their location changed and do has the packaging and pricing of sunscreen. They now sell it in a 3 oz size that they label as airline for $29 (the receptionist denied there was ever a 7oz size). That is over a 130% pricing increase! They have two pricing schedules for services and products -regular pricing - higher than NYC or Beverly Hills rates - or VIP pricing. VIP pricing must be paid for like a subscription. The VIP pricing of services is more at par to the rest of the market in Scottsdale. I am so disgusted about these pricing practices, I will find alternative products and services. read more
