Jessi fixed what my dermatologist couldn't. I went from hiding my face to DAILY comments on my "glass skin" and "clear skin". People want to know what my skincare routine is - so let me tell you all the great things about Ms Jessi James and her skills. Look - when I met Jessi. I was clueless when it came to skincare. I've struggled with rosacea for as long as I can remember. My face was constantly in pain, burning, and fiery red. It was embarrassing to walk out the house without makeup because my skin was constantly commented on in public - concerning comments asking if my skin always looked like this. The dermatologist's treatment plan was to try a prescription topical but warned me it could cause rebound redness meaning not only would it not work but it would make my rosacea worse. Sure enough, second application and I was in pain and looked like I had a chemical burn. The derm said my only option was $5,000.00 laser treatment that I'd have to get annually. Feeling completely defeated by my experience with the dermatologist, I switched my face wash and moisturizer to get back to basics and when the redness started to lift a bit and I could see sun damage and acne scars, I got on Yelp to look for an esthetician. I'd only ever had two facials before so didn't know what to expect. I reached out to Jessi and straight up said I wanted a chemical peel. Oh how naive I was. LOL Jessi booked me for a consultation. I was a bit nervous, embarrassed, and out of my element but the minute I met Jessi I relaxed. She is so sweet and kind and I could tell she really cared about this consultation. My experience with my facials in the past have been prebooking a service that I wanted, walk in, and get the service, leave. But Jessi had me lay down, turned on her light, moved a magnifying lamp over my face, and performed a skin analysis. You could almost hear the gears turning inside her head. She came up with the ultimate treatment plan to get me to my goal of a chemical peel but first there was a lot of work to do to treat my inflammation and repair my skin barrier. This is the main benefit of working with a solo esthetician - customized plans. I kept all my appointments with Jessi and I eventually got my chemical peel! Several to be exact! She cleared up my skin so well that I was completely shocked to find that I had a cute mole on my cheek. I go to Jessi frequently for many treatments now. Sometimes, I just book an appointment and tell her to do whatever she thinks I need. I regularly get dermaplaning and Hydrafacials. You must try her oxygen face mask. Because Jessi has worked such a miracle on my face, I now bring my tween in every two weeks for a tween facial. My kid gets horrible acne and blackheads. I didn't want my kid to end up with acne scars like her father and I and when I could no longer manage it at home, I knew what I had to do and texted Jessi right away. Like clockwork, my tween sees Jessi every 2 weeks, sometimes sooner if needed during a flare up. Not a single scar on my kid's face and that's thanks to Jessi! My kid is a picker so that is very impressive! Also, she will text you after treatments to check in. You aren't alone during your skincare journey - she's right there to help you. That's not something you will get at a medspa. Environment: the treatment room is clean and cozy. The lights are low. THE BED!! The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever laid in and it heats. The sheets are so soft and tucked so tightly in. The perfect cocoon. The comforter that tops it is a great weight. If you need a nap and want great skin - you know where to go. Pricing: Jessi's prices are in line with other facial treatments except you get the added bonus of a customized treatment. If you book a facial but she thinks your skin could benefit from a little extra TLC, then you are in for a treat. Products: Okay, I knew NOTHING when I first came to her but after spending a year doing research on products and joining multiple groups, I can confidently say that she stocks the best products for her treatments and for retail sales. I don't even bother buying skincare on Amazon, Sephora, or Ulta. I just text Jessi and ask her if she has a product in mind that I'm looking for and would you know that many times she has special ordered a product for me? BUY THE LIP OIL. Equipment: I ask a lot of questions, always absorbing information, and can claim that she uses the best equipment in her spa. The bed, lights, LED red light therapy device, and that beautiful Hydrafacial machine. Many places offer generic hydro facials but Jessi has the Hydrafacial machine itself and is certified - everything else is imitation. Atmosphere: Very relaxing and she is just the sweetest. I never feel any negative energy in the room. It's always good vibes. Parking: Lots of parking in the plaza. I have no trouble finding a spot right outside the door usually. Best facial I've ever had. I went with the platinum hydrafacial since I haven't had one in over 5 years, it was initially hard for me to put my pride and ego aside to ask for help. Having had previously been in the dermatology department for almost a decade as a RN I just felt like I knew everything about skin. Ok... let me just start off by saying that Jessi is literally the sweetest girl ever & EXTREMELY detailed in her work! I just got my first facial ever with her & I wanted to try the dermaplaning one. She first cleansed my face and then examined it closely to make sure it was the right choice (which I really appreciated) and it was. Dermaplaning is where she uses a very sharp blade to scrape off dead skin cells and it deeply exfoliates the skin. It was not painful AT ALL! She was so gentle and took her time every step of the way & also informed me of what she was doing every time she was doing something new, which I loved! It was my first facial so I was nervous, but she made me feel so relaxed. After the facial, she put me under a LED light for 20 minutes and let me tell you, I tried my hardest to NOT fall asleep but she put me out to where I was twitching & dreaming of my dogs!! She's so talented, I cannot rave about Jessi enough. After that, she put on some toner, sunscreen & a serum and also gave me a little massage. I got up off the table dizzy because I was that relaxed!! This mama needed this sooooo badly. When I was gathering my things, Jessi gave me a goody bag with facial cleansers, tinted sunscreens & two different face masks!! And then on top of that, she gave me a free lip oil as a mommy gift and that just made my day. She is so sweet! Her facility is very clean and well kept, so no complaints from me!
