I went here while waiting for my laptop to get fixed next door. The store was clean, the staff were very pleasant and kind. I asked a question and was guided to the aisle. I have supported this business since i moved to Ellicott City from Catonsville. However , they treat their customers like cattle and do not appreciate their business . I watched in horror as they had a Mom and baby sit in the sun waiting for them to open their doors to deny them entrance because the baby was not wearing a mask . When the federal and state guidelines clearly state its unsafe for children under 2 to wear mask .i will be taking my money and support where it is appreciated as my suspicions were true . The store in Windsor MD have totally unprofessional and nasty young girls at the register. Check this out. They got mad because the products on shelves were not the same as the register. Didn't want to give me a refund for their mistake. Treated me like it was my fault. The best way to handle them is to not patronize the store. read more

I had a wonderful experience buying a wig at this location! Shamera helped me through the entire process, and I never felt rushed or pressured. She listened carefully to what I was looking for and found the best wig for my needs. She also helped me in how to care for it and the accessories I would need and not need. And it was on sale! I have to add this: after Covid, most wig shops are STILL not allowing you to try on a wig. This is nerve wracking and annoying, as you really can't tell until it's on. I ended up with the most expensive one we picked because it was the RIGHT one, and the ONLY way to know if it's right is to try them on. Thank you to this beauty 4U for bringing back this service. Solid 3.5 stars This will be my go to BSS from now on. So why only 3.5..I'll get to that shortly. 1st they have a rewards system, so that's useful. Hair Products : Natural Hair, Relaxed Hair, Braids, whatever your need they have it. All of the brands you are most familiar with and some others. The best part is unlike some of places they have most of the items that line offers. Hair: Wigs, Weaves, Braiding, Crochet and every color possible. I don't usually weave my hair in style necessary to any of the above mentioned, but there always seem to be a person on staff to assist. Hair tools: Eveeeerrrryyyythhiinnggg! Everything you may needs (dryer, flat irons, curling iron, curling wands, brushes, combs) and at various ends of price points. Accessories: Earrings, Scarves, Necklaces, Sunglasses, Purses. Quality....is definitely questionable. You get what you pay for. Make up: This is were I felt they could do better. The only good line they carry NYX. There seems to be plenty of items, but when get close alot of items are sold out of some things look they have been opened before. The other make up is cheapy stuff. The nail polish aisle could use some updating. OK. 3.5 because majorly because of the custom service. 3x I have been here and had to wonder around to find something. Not really greated until I reach the counter. I once stood at the earring case to get a pair of earrings for 5 minutes without any acknowledgement . The cashier was busy, but she should have called someone or at the very least she could have said " I'll be with you just after I finish ringing her up". This is my last visit to this place on 8/30 and I will no longer go to this place again. I'm not stealing or going to steal. The check-out girl put my items in a bag stood back and looked and would not put them on the counter until my debit card said approved. They treat all black people like we are ALL thieves. I pleaded with her to see reason but she just walked away and left me by the till. Will not be going back there ever again and will advise everyone I know not to too. A few years ago my cousin was preparing for her wedding me I was in charge of finding the perfect wig for her mother. Little did I know that one trip would turn into a fan favorite for me. Beauty 4 U has several locations; Catonsville,Security,Bowie, Hyattsville etc. Catonsville by far is my favorite location. The selection of hair I've never walked into this store and walked out empty handed. Even when the owners downsized the store, the selection of hair remained adequate for customers. The store has a variety of hair that is selected by trend and their consumers. The Staff I would t continuously visit this store if it weren't for their staff members (excluding one person but we'll get to her). From the young lady Brionna at the front counter to Destiny in the wig section, they are definitely A1 staff members in my book. Brionna is such a jewel, she always has a friendly disposition about her and is always willing to help. This young lady has gone from a cashier to Assistant Manager in no time. Her personality goes way beyond the average employee. I look forward in seeing her smiling face when I visit. Destiny is one of the newest wig stylist there but she's lets you know what looks good and what just won't work. Her honesty and professional make customers feel welcome and want to return. There's only one person on this entire store that makes me go hmmmm. The sad part is I have. I clue what her name is but she watched you like a hawk and thinks you're going to steal. Their wigs are EXTREMELY overpriced. They mark the prices up about 50% than the retail price for their synthetic wigs. Their human hair wigs are NOT HUMAN HAIR they're more of a human hair blend and the price of their Human Hair blended wigs are astronomical. If you want a wig buy it online instead of being ripped off by these beauty supply stores. This store also has a beastly broad magella gorilla look alike...with a nasty weave and attitude to match working the cashier. The Asians were friendly while they're ripping you off but this girl had a disgusting attitude. I would never shop at this establishment again. read more

The world should know that there is a salon in the back of this beauty supply store. They do weaves and EYEBROW THREADING!! While everyone other place in the area is jacking up prices for threading, the lady in the back of this store charges a steady $8. She does a great job. Not very gentle, but you get used to it, and you can't beat the price. Might not sketchy because it's in the back of the store, but hidden gems are everywhere for sure. read more

This is a great beauty supply store with a large selection of wigs, bundle hair, and natural hair products. It's large, bright, and clean. I am rating the store so low because I was extremely turned off by an employee (possibly an owner) who followed me around the store. Every aisle, every corner, she was there "straightening" something. I understand you have to protect your merchandise but it made me feel uncomfortable and I'm reconsidering my decision to shop there for that reason alone. read more

I was also told by a fellow customer that she comes out of her way to get a particular product because the authenticity of this location's product is not in question. Went here yesterday. The store is huge and they have tons of products. However, it would be great if they sold/carried more full lines of ethnic professional products besides Mizani and Design Essentials. Was looking for a new relaxer and my professional choices were Mizani and Affirm. The staff are pretty courteous and helpful though. Went here last week and had a great experience and wrote a glowing Yelp review about it. The young woman assisting me was very helpful and kind. Today I went back and the customer service was poor. First, when the woman told me I would need to purchase a hair net, she never actually gave me the hair net. I went to the register to ask for one and they told me I had to get it from the other woman. After I finally got the hair net, I was told I was only allowed to try on 5 wigs...after I'd been shopping around and trying on wigs. She never initially told me that. I asked her how I was supposed to know what style looked good unless I tried it on and she just stared at me. I was so turned off by the rudeness, that I decided to just go and pay for the hair net and not get one of the wigs I'd tried on and really liked. When I told the girl at the register I wasn't happy, she just said "sorry." I asked for the manager and was told the woman with whom I'd dealt with earlier was the manager, who obviously wasn't interested in whether or not I bought a wig. A bad experience and not only did they lose my business today, I won't go back and I will certainly not recommend this place to anyone else. read more
