This is my new go-to salon! Wearing a hijab/headscarf, it can be such a hassle to get a haircut at salons because you have to make sure you come with wet hair or you have to ask for a private room. Neeru has a huge wrap around curtain, which I think is such a genius idea, so that your hair can be cut privately. The location is great, too, because nobody can see inside the windows the first place. It was one of the most pleasant experiences for a haircut I've ever had as a hijabi. If you wear hijab and can't find a place to get your haircut, definitely check this salon out! read more

Now this is one long overdue review. I've been going to Neeru, and more recently her daughter Eksha, since I first started doing my eyebrows 6 years ago, and my mom has been going to them for 10+ years. They only recently have moved to their current location. I love their current location, it's right off the 57 freeway so it's super convenient, and the salon itself is large and spacey. The only (potential) downside is that it's across the street from Diamond Bar High School: try not to go during the 3 o'clock hour and you won't get stuck in the traffic. THREADING: She's always super careful and professional when doing your eyebrows, especially when shaping them so that they're perfect for your face. She is also really good at making sure that they are appropriate for your age. When I was 13, she kept them a little thicker, perfect for that age, and over the years has thinned and shaped them perfectly. She also knows exactly when to shape them and when to clean them up. I go and see her every 3-4 weeks for eyebrow/upper lip threading (don't judge, my hair grows fast!) and every time she is quick, efficient and relatively painless! And she has never missed a hair or cut me with the thread. And her prices are super reasonable: I pay about 15 a visit. That's better than some of the other places in the area that I've visited (both for wax and threading) where I usually leave in pain and with little hairs not removed. HAIR: Beauty Bazaar is also my go to for when I need my hair styled on short notice. Starting out at $25 (a lot better than some of the other locals, who usually start at $35), Neeru does a great job in ensuring that my hair is straight, shiny and healthy looking. And I love that they're very accommodating when it comes to costumer needs. I can usually get a same day appointment, sometimes a same hour appointment. That's perfect for when plans unexpectedly come up and my hair looks like a bird's nest. I've also seen Neeru give other clients Brazilian Blowouts and it looks like she does a great job. FACIALS: I've had a few facials there, and every time left a happy costumer. They always use great products and each time, Neeru has tweaked my facial depending on what my main concern was. Their facials are also super relaxing, that I sometimes just want to curl in a ball and just sleep. In conclusion, very great salon, great services and great prices. Definitely a go to if you want a place that is affordable, super efficient and all about the customer. PS: Always give a call to the salon before going. Neeru's daughter is getting married next month, so Neeru has been busy helping her plan it. Call Neeru and make sure that someone is there; if nobody is there, she can give you a time in which someone will be (usually the same day). read more

We're usually really picky when it comes to people touching our hair but this place was awesome. They gave us great tips on how to take care if our hair. We were so satisfied that we came back ! I just left the salon and will definitely be coming back! I called in the morning looking for someone to take a walk in. I was desperate for a trim. They were able to take me within an hour and it was absolutely delightful. I was 10 minutes early and the hairstylist wasn't there yet but I noticed they offer eyebrow threading. I have had really bad experiences before and its been awhile since I went back to threading. In front of the threading station were pictures of different eyebrow shapes and one I really liked, I asked if she was able to do that on me. I have very arched eyebrows especially when I smile and she really understood my concerns. I LOVE my eyebrows now, she knew to make them more straight. I am a makeup artist so i always draw in my eyebrows and don't expect them to be threaded perfectly. She knew where to thread and left some gaps for me to grow in/draw in. I am very happy with my eyebrows. Most places always thread them too thin trying to make my eyebrows perfect so I don't have to fill them in but I like my eyebrows on the thicker side. After the threading her daughter came right on time to start my trim. I was on my lunch break and didn't need a shampoo and style. I came with my hair clean and dry. I am trying to grow my hair long and I am very sensitive to haircuts. They always cut it too short! Eksha (the daughter) did a great job on my hair! she trimmed it exactly the way I wanted it without losing any length. I was in and out of there with my eyebrows threaded, hair trimmed in 30 mins. Still gave me time to grab some lunch before heading back to work. I will definitely be returning because they were great and VERY affordable! read more

I go to Neeru for all my waxing needs and now that I've been there a few times it's time to write a review! I got my first Brazilian wax here several years ago after being referred by yelp and recently started going here again because it's close to where I live and it's so reasonably priced. $45 for your first time and $35 each time after that. Neeru is so fast and good at what she does, each appointment usually takes about 15-20 minutes and you're done. I was terrified that Brazilian waxing would be horribly awkward but she's so professional and talks you through the entire thing. Every time I've gone here I get great results. It is quite painful the first time but every time I go I noticed it always grows back much slower and thinner (and it's way less painful!). I've noticed that my skin is in better condition recently as well. I always recommend Neeru to friends who are curious about a first wax experience because of how comfortable the environment is. read more

I really wanted to like this place! It's close to my house and has affordable pricing for waxing services. However, the waxer double-dips. The first time I came here, she told me she was using the last of the wax in the cup and that it was only for me, so she was going to double-dip and I should not be afraid of infection. I bought her story. The next time I returned, she double-dipped again! Hmm ... :( The other con is that I've gotten some of the messier and slower waxes here. Just pretty uncoordinated and awkward, with wax all over the place. The one pro is that the waxer removes your hair completely, by the root. However, I am still on the lookout for a good Brazilian place in the Brea/Fullerton area. read more

Took me forever to finally pluck up the courage to try waxing for the first time after reading all these positive reviews. I definitely did not regret getting it done with Neeru! She was so gentle and patient throughout the entire process. One CANNOT doubt how experienced she is because she managed keep my worst nightmare (pain) to a minimal and it was absolutely bearable. I have low pain tolerance so that says A LOT. Most others probably wouldn't even feel the pain because of how gentle she was. Excellent customer service, I felt so safe in Neeru's hands. I usually go to a day spa 20 min away from my house for Brazilian. But with my sleeping schedule, traffic can be overwhelming. I decided to give beauty bazaar a try since it is so much nearer. Neeru is a nice lady and is very knowledgable of the services she provides. I tried both threading and waxing from Neeru. I have absolutely no complaint on Neeru's threading skill. Targeted every little hair that she can get. The best part about this place is the price!!!! half face threading plus Brizilian = $58 plus $5 tips!! I pay $45 plus tips else where for Brizilian alone. Now the downside:: i took off 2 stars, or 1 1/2 star if i can, because it was kinda messy, both the place and the waxing process. The little room for waxing needs to be cleaned - I could not stop focusing on the dust and hair lying around the floor and equipments. After waxing, I actually ran home and wash up since there was wax left behind. I guess with this price range, you get what you pay for. I would probably go back for threading. However, even tho it is significantly cheaper and nearer, I just cannot stand unhygienic environment for such private skin care routine. I would still choose to travel farer for a cleaner and more thorough Brazilian wax. read more

I have been going to Neru since before she opened Beauty Bazaar! She used to work at this other salon on Diamond Bar Blvd. but has built up enough clientele to open her own place! I think that says a lot.. I go to her for my brazilian, lip wax and eyebrow threading.. all for $50. Not only are her prices great but she can usually get you in same day and she has a technique that is a lot less painful than other places. I recently tried out a different salon down the street bc Neru had a family emergency- BAD IDEA- they charged me $60 for my brazilian alone, not to mention it was not the most professional experience. Neru is great, she is experienced and loves what she does whether it be hair, waxing, threading, etc. After 4 years of sticking with her, I DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED HER AND WOULD NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! This review is solely for the haircut. I have been exploring different hair salons to see if I can find one that tops the Korean one I have been going, to. And this place has been pretty great. The hair stylist I went to was Dalaina. She was absolutely great. I got my hair trimmed on Sunday. And thought it was too my liking. However, when my hair was dried, I realized that I wanted more layers. I called her and was able to schedule another appointment with her on a Monday (a day she typically doesn't work). I really appreciated her desire to make her customers happy and I truly was happy. I love the extra layers she did. Dalaina is great and really friendly. She gave me tips on how to care for my hair. You can completely trust her with your hair, so don't you worry =) You must be wondering why I gave this place 4 stars. I didn't feel comfortable stating "As good as it gets" because the $25 that I paid for this haircut, I was able to get a wash, cut, blow dry, and simple style at another salon. The downside to that salon was that I didn't speak Korean. read more

What a gem! I'm allergic to the chemicals in hair dye (whether from salons, boxes, organic, etc.). I've applied liquid henna myself (too expensive, doesn't cover grays) and also block henna that you reconstitute with hot water (too messy, hard to apply on myself and costly). My hair is long and very dark with grays starting to show along my hair line Well, I finally decided to look for a salon that applies henna on hair and found Beauty Bazaar. Neeru was fantastic! She applied the henna quickly and cleanly (process was just about/less than traditional hair dye). After she rinsed off the henna and towel dried it, I could already see results even through my damp hair. After she blow-dried it...Wow! All my grays were covered. My dark hair had beautiful brown towns and the grays turned a nice reddish-brown (they look like highlights!). Plus, my hair smelled really nice. Henna is a great, natural way to lightly tint and cover grays and Neeru is the person to do it. She's so friendly, too! Lovely salon with good energy. After my girlfriend came home from this place, she was super upset. The work was unsatisfactory (there were some patches left). The lady did not give sufficient wax and felt like she cheaped out on it (which was probably why it was so cheap $35). My girlfriend had to painfully fix what the lady did not finish. all I have to say it this place is very unprofessional...I just went there to get my eye browns threated and get my lip waxed and when I first got there not one was in the lobby. Then a woman come out from one of the rooms and tell me what I wanted done, so I told her. Came here twice for a Brazilian...and I've tried quite a few places before. Neeru is definitely a pro at what she does. Not only is it painless (ok not completely painless, but it's a lot less painful than anywhere else that I've tried). She's thorough with it, which is very important.
