I was convinced that she was someone I could trust with my hair and to help me get the digital perm that I wanted so I booked my appointment with her. I was already warned that digital perms would take a long time so she told me to block out about 3-4 hours. Before starting anything, she checked the health of my hair and also talked through cutting my hair before starting the digital perm process. I appreciated how she knew what lengths and the type of haircut that would best suit me as the digital perm would grow out in the future. I also showed her my digital perms from the past that I liked and didn't like (from other salons that I had gone to) and we were in agreement as to what kind of perm, length, and shape she was going to aim for. She pays great care to details and even made sure that she had the correct intensity of chemicals to make sure that she preserved the health of my hair while perming it. I really appreciated her taking her time to make sure that she was thorough and careful to make sure that this was going to be worthy of my investment. She explained each step of the perm process as she was doing each step. She takes great pride in her work and wanted to make sure that she was also satisfied with her work. Although it was a long morning, she took great care to make sure that I was comfortable and even offered coffee/beverages while I waited. Eunice is so incredibly sweet and is so much fun and easy to talk to. Digital perms in general are pricey, but it's because there is a lot of labor and preparation that goes into perms that are done correctly and done well. I feel like her price point was fair considering her thoroughness and care throughout the process. I definitely plan to come back again next year and I am so glad that I found someone I can confidently trust and go back to for my annual digital perm.

I have been coming to her for just over 3 years. The first time my friend brought me as a treat while I was pregnant and I got the most amazing haircut and service. I thought it must be a fluke, because I have never had such a good treatment and therefore never go back to the same hairdresser twice. I literally have been searching since I moved to L.A. when I was 17 and I'm 30 now. As a new mom, my hair was easy to take care of, and just absolutely beautiful. I had no time for long hair so went to Supercuts many months later to get a trim, and they completely hacked my hair. It was TERRIBLE. I had to go back so the manager could clean it up and make me look presentable. That is for another review, but I needless to say I was devastated. It had been about a year since Reiko had done mine and it was finally growing out enough to get it done by her again. This time I got a short emo do cause I'm all about having" non-mommy haircuts." It was like she read my mind. I was kind of worried cause it was so different from my usual, and she only looked at a few of my 1000's of photos I came prepared with. But again, to my surprise she gave me the best haircut of my life. She was able to take what I showed her adapt it to my head and face shape and give me exactly what I wanted. It was even easier to take care of than before! I used to be a early morning shower-er cause my hair is heavy and frizzy and a little wavy (only when I want it straight), so I could never sleep on wet hair. But one time I went to bed wet, and I woke up with PERFECT hair. It had volume, and lift at the roots, my hair was clean and shiny and completely dry and I didn't have to style it AT ALL. With that haircut that was super texturized, I became a night shower-er and cut my morning mommy routine in half. I got to be a good mom and look nice! Again, about 14 months had passed quickly (as it does when you have young children) and my beautiful haircut that had really lasted for at least a year was starting to look really blah. I really should have been in before that but it was such an amazing cut, how could I get another that good?!? This last time I went back to see if I could get a straight 3 for 3 perfect score, and she did it again. I brought in pictures of Zooey Deschanel, my #WCW girl, and asked if she could attempt that kind of look for me; basically long bouncy layers with heavy bangs and the woman worked her miracles again. I really wished I had a before pic cause I looked completely sad and pitiful compared to how alive and young, and beautiful I looked afterwards. I will be going back to her exclusively from now on.
