My-Hang works at her sisters salon in Willow Glen! I got my hair done by her a few days ago & I'm so obsessed with the outcome! I normally don't like going to different stylists, but she's the sweetest I've ever met! I'm not a huge conversationalist, but she really made me feel comfortable. I will definitely go back to her! Get your done by her!! You won't be disappointed :)

My-Hang sure knows how to make a girl feel beautiful! This is my second time going blonde and I was very nervous because the first time, my hair was ruined and it turned orange in less than a month. My-Hang was able to make me feel comfortable right when I walk in and everyone at My Stylist Salon was super friendly and helpful! She told me from the beginning that she cannot guarantee that my hair will look exactly like the photo I showed her and I understand that all hair lifts differently so thank you for not being like other hairstylists and just saying whatever the client wants to hear!!! She accommodated for me longer than the expected time due to my massive long hair! She took her time working on me even though she had another client come soon and didn't rush on me at all. After 6 hours of long hard work, I have beautiful blonde silver hair, just the way I wanted and everything only took one session! She gave me great advice on how to care for my hair afterward and even show me some of the products that she used on her own herself! She went as far as sending me the sites where to buy products at an affordable price so I wouldn't have to search it up! What a nice and genuine hairstylist! I can't imagine having anyone else work on my hair but her! It been 2 months now and I have gotten tons of compliment for my beautiful blonde hair and some of my friends even asked me which stylist I went to so they can book an appointment with her!!! Her work gave me life again and made me feel beautiful every day of this summer! I'm coming back for a toning session in a month and I know I won't be disappointed! Beauty is her passion and she always takes her time making others feel beautiful and never rush through her work! She is a diligent, hard working, and patient person that is always enthusiastic about the result of her work. I love and trust her work 100%! Beyond that, she is a beautiful person, inside and out! I can't believe how much we talked during those 6 hours and it felt like we been friends forever! Finally, a hairstylist that I can brag about to all of my friends because she is the PERFECT hairstylist and a great companion!

I can't say enough about Beauty by MH! It's so nice to find this wonderful talent here in the Bay Area. I have been to many hairstylist but I was so impressed of how she took her time and she did not try to rush anything and she really listened to my hair inspirations and she definitely over delivered. She is also really friendly and the salon atmosphere is wonderful and just to add a bonus they have a really cute dog that hangs out at the salon and he is really friendly and nice. I am happy that I now have a stylist that I can truly recommend to my friends and family and a stylist that I will be looking forward to seeing in the future for my hair color and cut.

Where do I start!? I have been coming to My-Hang for at least three years and she has never let me down. She makes sure to achieve your hair dreams but keep the integrity of your hair. She's also one of the sweetest people ever! One time I was sitting in her chair while my hair was processing I was starving and this woman goes next door and gets me a pizza who else does that. This review is a definitely over due but had to let everyone know how truly amazing and talented My-hang is! She is by far the best colorist + glam artist in the Bay Area! I have been going to her for several years NEVER disappoints. I am highly critical over my hair and in the past always left leaving salons hating my hair but that never happens when I see My-Hang. Found My-Hang on yelp. I thought I'd try her out myself because of the all the good reviews. Guess what? All the yelp reviews are true! I've been seeing her for over a year and she's been the best by far. Booking appointments are super easy. You need to see for yourself! She's awesome! I always get nice compliments for my hair.

This is a long overdue review... My Hang has been my hairstylist ( and my sister's) since 2016 and I honestly can't trust anyone more with my hair than My Hang. My sister brought me to My Hang and we usually get our hair done on the same day. She always does an amazing job and she's super sweet. She always makes me feel heard and consulted before gets started. My Hang will straight up tell you if your hair dreams need to be more realistic ( needing multiple sessions) which is good because she actually cares for your hair health and wants to make sure as little damage is done to your hair as possible. I had my hair permed and she advised going easy on the bleaching to prevent hair damage. She suggested a test run prior to the actual session. That is to say, My Hang definitely knows what she's doing and always wants the best for your hair. And did I mention that My Hang has a huge knowledge about makeup, healthy foods, and clothing! My sister and I always come to her for tips and recommendations on how to help you feel and look amazing! That being said, I've never left her chair disappointed. Very highly recommended!

My-Hang is A M A Z I N G. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding about 2 months ago and I just came out of a color sesh with her. She is all around so talented, professional, and friendly. Let's start with the wedding: I'll give you a quick background, I am a corporate event manager. Knowing that, I'm sure you can guess my wedding was planned down to the T. I have a fully booked day with a 6-page itinerary spreadsheet with every last detail of my day. (This is not including my vendor contact list, helper list, music selections, etc.). So you know I need someone who I can trust to be timely, professional, and the best. And that is exactly who My-Hang is. She worked in her schedule to fit my day/needs and listened to my every want as a bride. She's even so calm under pressure. About 10 minutes before my ceremony started, my flower crown decided to break.. great. I tried to call my florist to help fix it but she didn't pick up. My-Hang immediate came to my rescue and pinned the (excuse my French) sh*t out of the flower crown into my hair to stay. It was amazing. I don't think anyone knew I had a broken flower crown and 500 bobby pins in my hair to hold it together. Not 500 but you know what I mean. It stayed for the entire ceremony, including when my now husband dipped me for a kiss, and until I changed my hair to an evening style. She did it! Now onto my hair color sesh today: Gosh, not only did she work magic on me on my wedding day, she has made my hair color the best it has ever been. I have never been more happy with the outcome of my hair.. ever. I'm not exaggerating. I told her I wanted my hair to be a little lighter while keeping my roots darker and for the tips of my hair to be the grayish-blonde. I didn't even have an image of what I wanted.. I just wanted all these random ideas in one.. not know how it might even turn out on me. She warned me in the beginning, gray doesn't always show up on hair unless it's super light, and it's different for everyone's hair but she will try her best. So while she balayage-d my hair, she asked if I wanted my overall hair color/base color to be a little lighter. I was so indecisive, I left it for her to decide-- and I'm so glad I did. She ended up bumping my base a bit lighter and it came out so amazing. I have no idea how she did it but it's literally better than I imagined it turning out. I'll post a pic so you can see it for yourself. (She even got the gray in!) I can't say enough good things about her. She's just all around the best hair and make-up artist and you just gotta try her out for yourself.

My-Hang is a makeup artist goddess!!! During my wedding planning process in 2015, I was searching high and low for a makeup artist who could apply eye shadow really ridiculously extremely well. Simply put, I wanted my eyes to really pop in my wedding pictures, look big and look awake. When I saw My-Hang's portfolio of work, I really loved how she seamlessly blends the eyeshadow colors and how clean it all looked. SEAMLESS, to me, was key! Her style was exactly what I was seeking! My-Hang first transformed me during my makeup trial for my engagement photos. She kindly woke up at the crack of dawn to fit my appointment into her busy schedule. We finished around 7:30 am and because my engagement photo session wasn't scheduled until the sunset hours, I went back home and slept/went about my entire day in fully done makeup. The weather conditions for the photo session were a bit cold and windy, but exactly 12 hours after My-Hang applied my makeup, my makeup impressively still looked fresh! As a bonus to what I was looking for in her eyeshadow work, My-Hang does flawless foundation and eyebrow applications! After my super long day, the makeup still translated wonderfully on film and in person. On the day of my wedding, My-Hang did a PHENOMENAL job and I have never felt so pretty ever. As a bride, this is what you hope for - to feel like you're looking your absolute best but still feel like nothing looks too dramatic that people couldn't recognize you. Again, she killed it with the eye work. My-Hang gave me magical full eyelashes, luminescent skin, perfect eyebrows and everything lasted well into the night until I went to bed at 3 am. I received so many compliments after the wedding concluded that my makeup still looked really good. I was really taken back by receiving such comments because my tears could have filled the grand canyon that night. That's how awesome her work is! I highly recommend My-Hang for a bridal/special events makeup artist and as an icing on the cake, she is incredibly efficient, warm and personable, considerate to your thoughts on how you want to look! Just a update at my-hang. She is now in willow glen, but worth the drive. I don't let ANYONE else touch my hair. She is the sweetest and knows her stuff about hair. Every time I sit with her, she explains to me what she she is doing and how hair processing works. TBH I just smile, nod and agree when I have no idea what she is talking about. Haha. But it always ends up PERFECT! I have never gotten so many compliments for my hair before. Make me feel special. Hehe.

i mean.. a photo says a thousand words! I've been looking for a good stylist in the bay area for over 3 years and a family member showed me My-Hang's Instagram and fell in love with her work! I texted her asking when she was available and she responded within minutes. She asked me what I wanted and I just told her do whatever you want. Just from her photos I knew I was in good hands without even meeting her. I got to the salon and My-Hang immediately asked if I wanted a drink. I was expecting to be there for over 4 hours as all my other appointments usually took this long.. My-Hang only took 3 hours which really only felt like 1 because she was so easy to talk to! Her passion and love for her work is so inspiring and it clearly shows. I'm so happy I've found a stylist i'll be sticking with! Thanks for everything My-Hang!

It's about time I write a review for my sweet, caring, and beautiful stylist! I've only had one appointment with My-Hang so far and although I told myself I should stop spending money on my hair, I'm definitely coming back. My-Hang works in San Jose at My Stylist Salon (her sister's salon) in the Willow Glen area. The salon is cute, trendy, and most importantly (to me), relaxing. I've been to other salons of the same measure, but the music usually seems to be overwhelmingly loud and lots of people talking over each other. It's much more quiet and chill here! Parking in this plaza is plentiful and generally there shouldn't be an issue finding parking. I made an appointment for this past August by texting her. She was extremely responsive and got back to me relatively quickly, despite her busy schedule in the salon / doing wedding makeup, etc. She was also able to answer the many questions I had without making me feel like I was asking too much. Prior to my appointment, I showed My-Hang pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like (in addition to pictures of my current hair). She informed me from the start that she cannot promise the end result to look like my goal, but mentioned she would try. I appreciate her honesty. Let me tell you - she definitely under-promised and over-delivered. My session took 3.5 hours and during that time, I was able to chat with My-Hang to learn more about her (and her about mine). From what I learned from our conversation, she is an EXTREMELY hardworker. She's accomplished so much for someone at her age and I'm so proud of her for making her dreams a reality. For an introvert like myself, My-Hang didn't mind that we didn't chat our entire appointment (although she is a great conversationist). I really appreciated that she respected that. Something I noticed -- at another reputable salon I've been to, I was passed from stylist to stylist to work on various parts of my hair (one would do bleaching, another would do toning, another would do cutting, etc) and the salon would clearly overbook their schedules. Not My-Hang. I was the only person that she worked on during the course of my appointment and no one else touched my hair but her. During my session, I asked My-Hang about any products she uses or recommends and although some of the products she mentioned are sold in the salon, never once did she pressure me to purchase them. I was sooo pleased with my hair at the end of the appointment! Literally so incredibly happy. My hair was shamefully brassy before the appointment. It's been two months since I've seen My-Hang and my hair still looks amazing! I've never received this many compliments after getting my hair done -- it sure make me feel good LOL. Highly recommend getting your hair done with My-Hang! Initially scheduled my appt back in March, literally a day before lockdown happened! My-Hang was very communicative with updates and she was able to get me in the first day the salon re-opened. I've had my hair bleached several times before in one sitting and it would take me 5+ hours to a whole day (so bad for your hair btw). My-Hang was straight forward and advised me to do sessions since I grew my hair out and it's basically all virgin hair. She started with doing a balayage to see how my hair would lift then proceed with a second session to work towards my final color. The salon felt very safe, she had me wipe down my things, take my temp, and sanitize my hands. Everyone was wearing masks and chairs were getting wiped with each new client. My-Hang was very sweet! I honestly felt kinda starstruck meeting her because I've been following her on IG prior to our appt. Sad that I didn't get a chance to really chat with her during my session because I had to work but I'm honestly in love with how my first session turned out! I never thought I would like this tone because I always had super blonde ombré done back in college. I really like how much dimension this color instantly gave my hair and my features. I'm hoping that CA would reopen soon so that I can come back and My-Hang can work her magic. My-Hang is the queen of hair!! I've been coming to MyStylist salon for over a year and I couldn't be happier with the results. I went from dark brown to warm blonde, all thanks to My! She is super sweet and will share tips/recommend products on how to maintain your color- treated hair as healthy as possible. It can be nerve wracking to dye your hair for the first time or switch stylist but I assure you My-Hang will guide you through the process and help you achieve your hair goals! read more

I can't say enough about Beauty by MH! It's so nice to find this wonderful talent here in the Bay Area. I have been to many hairstylist but I was so impressed of how she took her time and she did not try to rush anything and she really listened to my hair inspirations and she definitely over delivered. Just a update at my-hang. She is now in willow glen, but worth the drive. I don't let ANYONE else touch my hair. She is the sweetest and knows her stuff about hair. Every time I sit with her, she explains to me what she she is doing and how hair processing works. TBH I just smile, nod and agree when I have no idea what she is talking about. Haha. i mean.. a photo says a thousand words! I've been looking for a good stylist in the bay area for over 3 years and a family member showed me My-Hang's Instagram and fell in love with her work! I texted her asking when she was available and she responded within minutes. She asked me what I wanted and I just told her do whatever you want. Just from her photos I knew I was in good hands without even meeting her. I got to the salon and My-Hang immediately asked if I wanted a drink. I was expecting to be there for over 4 hours as all my other appointments usually took this long.. My-Hang only took 3 hours which really only felt like 1 because she was so easy to talk to! Was ignored by her after reading that she's taking new clients on her Instagram, yelp, website... all of them say to text this number for appointment. After she saw my comment on one of her photos that I sent her a dm, she made sure to mention on her next post that she needs 48 hours to respond when she could have just said that. Then proceeds to say she's not taking new clients. As a business owner I think it's very unprofessional. Even on her Instagram post yesterday she mentions to text the number for appointment, never anywhere does it say she's not currently taking new appointments. read more

I am SO happy to have found my go-to hairstylist. I've previously gotten a balayage two times with two separate hairstylists and was extremely disappointed with the results. My Hang is absolutely amazing at what she does and listens to what you want. She really does care about the integrity of your hair, so she is extremely honest of what she can and cannot achieve in one session. I came in with dyed box black dye (which we all know is any hairstylist's worst nightmare), but My Hang managed to lift it to give me a beautiful natural balayage. She also recommended great products and gave me advice on how to curl my hair so I could achieve loose waves. I've been going to My-hun for almost a year and it has been the best decision for my hair! I was a bit nervous I admit as would any one going to a new hair artist. I wanted to go Ash and she informed me how it would take three session and what the process was like so my hair wouldn't get dammed. I finally finished my last session with her last month and I can tell you that each session with her made me fall in love with the color. My-hun listens to what you want and gives you input. Seriously amazing. My is really nice and was open to what I was looking for. I showed her a few pictures and she told me how we can get to that color. I went to her about a week ago after having not colored my hair in years and cut in months because of fear that I'd get a botched hair cut again. I showed her a few pictures of what I wanted my end result to be and she started my first session of balayage! She cut off a lot of my dead hair and gave me a cut that made my hair look fuller. My hair feels so fresh and I'm loving the cut and color! I'm looking forward to my next session and to see the end result in a few more sessions! My-Hang is a hair whisperer!! She is honestly so gifted when it comes to balayage, Ombré and beauty in general. I spent a lot of time researching in the Bay Area- and can tell you to LOOK NO FURTHER. She is a true artist and expert in her field that does "a lot" of balayage! I moved up to the Bay Area 8 years ago from San Diego and had light hair then. I went back to my natural black 6 years ago and although I have attempted to go lighter again, I have not found anyone that was an expert with dark hair, so I decided to settle. Until recently, when I made an appointment with My-Hang. Setting up the appointment was very seamless (just text her), and I was only in the salon for 3-4 hours. For those of you with dark hair, I'm sure you can remember being in the salon for 8 hours sometimes. My hair looked great after the first session, but I wanted to go a little lighter and scheduled a second session for a month later. See below for pics!! For my wedding, I searched and compared others in prices and reviews, however nobody else came close to My Hang. She did a fabulous job on my bridal make up. I am not a big make up person, however My Hang was very informative and gave me suggestions. For our make up consultation, which lasted for 4 hours, she was patient, very helpful and impressive in her approach. She did not just throw one or two suggestions out, but she went through an array of make up looks before I finally found something that I liked. On the day of the wedding, she came to my hotel room where she took her time and did my make up which lasted the entire day. I received a lot of compliments and everyone was amazed. I think the best thing was, when she put the make up on, I did not feel like I was wearing a mask. It felt very natural. I am glad I choose her to do my make up for my special day. My-Hang was awesome! We had her and 2 assistants come out for a weekend in Sonoma in July 2013. The crew did our hair and make up for the Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Day. This include me, two moms, a grandma and 5 bridesmaids and include all skin types and hair styles (Caucasian, African American, Asian). They rocked it all. My-Hang and her crew stayed overnight in downtown Sonoma (courtesy of us) and woke up bright and early to drive up the windy roads to Moon Mountain Retreat to start our wedding day. She even arrived super early. Everyone loved their hair and make-up and felt beautiful on the wedding day. My-Hang really does use the best products and has an eye for beauty. Weeks before the wedding weekend, she made sure I drank lots of liquids and took care of my skin so that I would look my best. The bridesmaids all had their own hair preferences and the team was able to do them all. She listened to all my preferences and concerns and addressed them all. I already knew My-Hang is an amazing makeup artist; she is also an amazing hairstylist! I went to My-Hang to color my hair twice and have my next appointment booked already! My-Hang does an incredible job - I'm still getting compliments months after I've gotten my hair done! She's super sweet and patient. My-Hang is absolutely talented! I've gone to many hairstylist that do a good job but My-Hang transformed my hair completely. I'm absolutely in love with my hair. She is definitely hands down beyond talented and she knows what she's doing. She works with her sister at the Salon. Parking there is hard, so i suggest getting there earlier to find a parking spot. I really recommend her. She super nice! I have super thick hair that tangles once it hits water and she was able comb it out. She very detailed. You definitely get your money worth! Not only is she a hairstylist, she's also does makeup on the side. I drive almost 1hr 10 minuets to the Salon. I've hired her for several occasions because she is so amazing at what she does. She doesnt make me look like i have a ton of make up on, she puts on the make up and enhances the features on my face. She makes me feel beautiful. My-Hang offers several services to fit your needs. My favorite is the air-brush service she offers. It lasts all day and I don't feel like i have a ton of make up on. This review is slightly delayed but I finally got around to it! Recommended by my sister, My-Hang was great. At our consultation, I showed her some of my saved ideas on Pinterest of my inspiration. When I told her that I wasn't sure what I wanted, she said, "No problem," and she did several makeup looks, as well as hairstyles, until we achieved what I was going for. I was also afraid that since I was getting married in August that my makeup would melt. She assured me that with her airbrushing technique, that wouldn't be a problem (she can club all night and still look fantastic). On the day of the wedding, she arrived at my hotel room early, which was great cuz that gave us some extra time. She put two rows of natural-looking lashes that really gave my eyes that oomph. She also did the hair and makeup for my mom and my sister and they both loved the results (even with no trial). What I love about My-Hang is that since she is Vietnamese, she really knows how to work with Asian features since we usually have 1. no eyelids, 2. no deep set eyes for beautiful shadows, 3. flat noses, etc. She really knows how to accentuate our features so we look our best. At the end of the night of the wedding, after all the toastings, dress changes, and sweaty dancing, lo and behold, my makeup was still in tact. This girl deserves 5 stars and more! read more

So I dont know why my previous post states that i wrote the review in June, since I am pretty sure I wrote it before my wedding in May. so here's an update on the wedding. I LOVED it. she made me look and feel like a beautiful bride. I am so grateful, I am 100% positive I will be referring her to all my friends, collegues and will be using her again for any other events... I personally think I am good with make up, but for special occasions when I feel like I want an added something... something more special, i think of MyHang. It all started out when I went for my trial wedding style- say no more! I had selected the woman who will forever be in my wedding memories! It's like she read my mind! My-Hang is legit! She's done my make-up twice now for my samba performances for Carnaval SF. Not only does the make-up look good-fitting with our theme and costume and complementing my features, but believe me, it lasts! Through the long day of parading, sun and sweat! It's an early morning call at her studio in Daly City which is super cute, clean and classy. She is on top of it and professional despite the sleepiness in our eyes. It always feels like I'm having a girlfriend do my make-up-this year, she even made me a delish latte to wake me up! She's very sweet and personable and we have great conversations. I feel very comfortable around her. She's very responsive with setting an appointment and accommodating your needs and her rate is certainly comparable to other make-up artists if not a wee bit more reasonable. My-Hang is an incredible makeup artist! I get my hair done by her sister and that's how I was exposed to her work. I needed someone to do my makeup for my college graduation pictures and I was reluctant to go to makeup counters. I looked through My-Hang's Instagram page and I fell in love with how she does her makeup and how she does her clients' makeup. I texted her on a Wednesday evening, she was prompt and I received a reply later that night. She was so kind and was able to accommodate me on such short notice. When I got there, I noticed her studio was very clean. I requested rose gold eye makeup and some face contouring to be done but other than that, I let her work her magic. She was very nice and we talked about her favorite eyeshadow palettes, some makeup advice, her favorite products, so time flew by quickly. Everything turned out better than I had imagined! My eyebrows were filled in perfectly, eyeshadow was blended nicely, foundation was the perfect coverage, and I loved how she contoured my face. I loved the lip combination she used on me so much, I went out and bought the same products that day. I received many compliments on my makeup as well. When getting my makeup done, I'm worried about my skin reacting to certain products or getting conjunctivitis afterwards, but I didn't experience anything like that so that made me really happy! My Hang is one of the sweetest person I know. She did my make up a few times including my wedding day. Her talent is beyond expectation. But what I love most about her is her dedication and how much she values her job & clients. On my wedding day, MH showed up on time looking like a ninja. I'm not kidding, she looked like a ninja from head to toe. All black with a black mask. Lol. Then I found out the mask was because she was really sick! She lost her voice and could barely talk. Regardless of how sick she was we still had a great time. Lots of giggles and fun talks. My makeup came out so pretty! My-Hang is the best! I am really picky with who I trust my hair with but I always have the utmost trust in her. I've gone to her twice and she's never failed. My first session I did a blonde balayge after coming out of being a red head/brunette. I thought it'd be really tough to get to the color I wanted but she did it so flawlessly. It lasted longer than I expected and when I went to my second session to go lighter - she's always delivered. She's also really great at giving her input on what would work and always pays attention to what you're trying to achieve to help get you there. I always receive so many compliments on my hair. She also gives great advice on how to maintain your hair and is awesome at following up by sending you all the different products she trusts. When you have an upcoming appointment with her, she's fantastic at confirming appointments. Her ability to be so organized despite how busy she is makes me even admire her even more. My-Hang is a dear friend of mine who I've known since the day I moved into my dorm at UCD. She is the sweetest person I know (& my hottest friend!) who fostered incredible talent for beautifying everything! Her hair and make up are always perfect so rest assured yours will turn out the same way :) I have never found an incredible hair stylist, let alone decent one, and although it grows back, hair is a big investment! My-Hang will make you feel comfortable and excited about what's to come in the next few hours as she's processing your new (incredible) do. I am far from being an experienced make up person. I wear the basics everyday but I wanted something different as I was visiting San Francisco from Houston to get our engagement pictures taken. I did lots of research and MyHang was one of the few I felt comfortable with from looking at her website/reviews. She was very quick on answering emails which I really liked. She reached out to me days before I got in to remind me of our appointment. Upon arriving to her studio (which is out of her home), she was super sweet and professional. Her studio is very clean and neat with cute decor and awesome beauty equipments/supplies. Hair and make up took about 2 hours which was exactly what she had estimated. I originally booked two sessions with her: one for hair and make up and then just make up the next day for our second engagement photo shoot. But after the first session, I decided to go for both hair and make up again. Originally I was suppose to return to the studio the next morning for our second session, but I was on such a time constraint, I contacted MyHang literally the night before and asked if she could come to my hotel to save some time for me. She had no problem doing so at all considering it was literally at the break of dawn. She showed up right on time and we got started right away. MyHang is super sweet and nice. She gave us lots of tips of hang out places and things to eat since we are not from there. She was easy going and easy to talk to which made the two hours passed by super fast. I forgot my sunglasses at her house from the first session and she offered to drop it at the hotel for me, which I thought was so thoughtful. Big thank you to MH for making the inspiration for my hair reality! For a long time, I've been looking for a good hairstylist I could regularly go to and MH went above and beyond. She is by far the best at balayage ombré and it only took two sessions! I'm so impressed with how amazing my hair turned out. I'm constantly getting compliments. If you decide to book an appointment, ask for MH, if you want the best! It is a bit of a drive to SJ if you're from Daly City/SF like me, but trust me, it's so worth it! I will admit probably for my mom's next visit I'll have to stick around a tad longer and help my mom and her hairdresser when my mom gets her hair washed. So not everything there is I guess ADA available, but it's a minor thing for now since my mom has very limited mobility but can move with some assistance. As for the hairstyle, mom is always happy and I personally think makes her feel as normal as she can get these days and being content let alone having another outside interaction besides with me is always a good thing!

She was trained on her craft in Japan. 2. Focus Aki is very focused at her work. She will chat and have conversations with you, but you would have to initiate. That being said, if you are the quiet type or just not want to have to talk to anyone, you'll be fine. 3. Vibe If you replaced the Tiffany teal walls of her studio with wood, you would be in a cozy Ghibli cottage. It's like walking into someone's cozy corner. Spa music is usually playing so it's more of a relaxing feeling. Aki goes straight to the chase, so no dillydallying here. 4. Have reference photo(s) Aki will cut your hair, to the best of her ability, to look just like the photo you have provided. She will take a photo of the haircut you want, and keep it on the table for her to refer to. That being said, know that she may use different methods of cutting (and styling) you are not used to as she was trained in Japan. 5. Hairwashing Aki dry cuts directly, so if you want your hair cut with freshly washed hair, wash and dry your hair before going. Not a requirement, this is only if you really want to. But since Aki does not wash hair before the cutting, she is able to spend more time in the cutting and styling process, which has been worth it every time for me. 6. Name any hair concerns Love a hairstyle but you don't know if you have enough hair for it? Losing hair but want a short cut with volume? Bangs too short for a haircut with longer bangs? Reference photo has a person with different hair type than yours and so you don't know if you can pull it off? TELL AKI. All my haircuts have been successful with her because I have told/asked her things like.. "My hair is really flat on top but I want volume like in the [reference] photo...but I am also a busy mom so I need low/no maintenance." "The girl in the reference photo has a different hair type than mine, would I still be able to get my hair cut to look like this?" "I like this [reference] hairstyle, but I don't want to have to style it every day. If I get this cut, would it still look good without styling?" She doused me a second time at the end again and her husband Nico who was there in the end tried to also articulate to her that I was saying the vinegar hurt badly. Even after understanding Nico she doused me and said "no it won't but Now" even though it certainly did. she injured me and she will injure others. thank god a gentleman walked into the suite towards the end of the service and was able to translate some of what i was saying. at one point she even said "this is why i dont do hair straightening, because these girls get too tired and cant sit" and thank god the guy was there he told her "Aki she is telling you her spine hurts" my neck is in pain from her deciding to use three bottles of product in my hair and formed it into a huge knot. she told me my hair was "too long to wash in her sink" and that she would have to cut through the knot even though the knot was there due to her negligence. i was in tears 4 out of the 6 hours and in terrible pain. all the while she just kept insulting me telling me how she would never ever to hair straightening again and she regretted doing my hair. horrible customer service and down right but not a nice woman whatsoever. i did not know just how cruel she was until i texted her the following day and told her that my entire scalp is scabbed, all of my roots are fried, my ear is burned and that i tried telling her during the appointment i was in pain but she could not understand me. I dyed my hair on 5/6 and asked on Yelp on 5/8 and got my treatment on 5/21. I can't believe she has the audacity to reply my reviews with lies like this. I will include pics of my Yelp project as well as her reply! I caution everyone to stay away from this shady business. Original review: I was looking around for a keratin treatment in the area and narrowed down to this salon. I did my research and looked at every reviews especially the negative ones. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and boy was I wrong! I've done these keratin treatments 3 times before at 2 different salons. Every time, the results came out great! Since those salons were no longer in business, I had to look for a new place. Jane needed a consultation before the treatment so I went in on 5/13. It was a quick 5 min consultation and confirmed that I was doing the regular keratin, made an appt for the week after. She said she prefers cash and the treatment was $380. Went back to get my treatment done on 5/21. As some of the reviews said, she is not the friendly type who would chit-chat with you which I didn't mind. She did answer my questions when I asked. But yes, "with an attitude and general unfriendliness" - quoting one of the reviews. I asked her if I would be getting my hair trimmed, (as I had always got it at different salons when getting these treatment.) She said "your hair is not straight. after this treatment, you need to get a haircut!" I was confused and thought that haircut is included . Then I asked her "will you trim it? " she said "ok, I will give you a haircut after the treatment" So after the treatment, she gave me a haircut which was 15 min at most. Then she said "usually I charged $80 for a haircut, but with treatment. I will charge you $70!" she didn't say anything about the extra cost for the haircut, let alone, $70 extra!!!! The whole thing took a little over 2hrs, not 3.5 hrs as she lied. 2 days after, I washed my hair as told by her with the recommended shampoo! And my hair was still very curly and frizzy! I texted her, and she told me to go back to her salon and get checked by her. I went in the following week and the first thing she said was "So what did you do?" I was shocked. I did nothing. I showed her pics of how my hair turned out great after keratin treatment before and she said "other ppl use formaldehyde and I don't " I said the most recent one I got was without formaldehyde and still worked on my hair! At the end, she said she will do it again for me but in 1.5 hr. I confirmed with her that there is no fee cause I didn't want any surprises! In the follow up appointment, she came in late and there were No apologies whatsoever!! I read a review saying how someone was late and she took it seriously! But when she is late, she acts like nothing!! At that point, I know that she does not hold responsible for the things she does wrong, as simple as being late. The treatment was actually only 1 hr, not 1.5 as she lied. When she finished, she said " this is all I can do ". Five Stars!!! My girlfriend recently got married and hired My-Hang to do her make-up for the big day. She also wanted to have some of her bridesmaids have their make-up done as well. Well I was one of those bridesmaids who was lucky enough to work with My-Hang. I'm not big on make-up and I honestly don't know how to 'dress my face' except with eyeliner and the occasional falsies.
