But after purchasing $59 worth of items (before their 20% sale), the staff suddenly invented new conditions on the spot -- none of which appear in the advertisement. When asked where these terms were printed, they couldn't point to anything and said "it was obvious." Under California's false advertising law (Bus. & Prof. Code §17500), you cannot enforce undisclosed conditions on a promotional offer. When my friend brought this up, the staff became defensive, refused to provide anything in writing, and insisted the manager "could only discuss it in person or over the phone," which is extremely suspicious behavior for what should be a simple, straightforward promotion. The entire interaction feels dishonest. Instead of correcting the issue, they stalled, evaded, and repeatedly refused written communication. This should tells you everything you need to know. If a store can't honor its own flyer as printed, that's a serious problem. Shoppers deserve transparency, not bait-and-switch tactics. I hope people avoid this location until they learn how to advertise honestly and treat customers with basic professionalism.

Throughout my visit, I was approached by approximately six or seven different staff members asking whether I was "finding everything okay." While I understand that employees are encouraged to assist customers, being approached repeatedly every few minutes felt excessive and intrusive rather than helpful. By the fifth interaction, I politely asked one of the employees whether the staff worked on commission because the constant check-ins were becoming difficult to ignore. Later, after another employee approached me, I jokingly--but genuinely--asked whether it was really necessary for nearly every member of the floor staff to check on me after I had already confirmed multiple times that I did not need assistance. We had a brief conversation, and I assumed the interruptions would stop. Unfortunately, they did not. Shortly after, another employee approached me for a second time and asked if I needed help finding anything. After I politely responded, "No, thank you," she remained nearby, rearranging products, standing in close proximity to me, and repeatedly watching me from the corner of her eye. Whether intentional or not, her behavior made me feel as though I was being monitored rather than assisted. At that point, I handed her the items I had intended to purchase, walked to the front of the store, and requested to speak with a manager. Ironically, my experience was the exact opposite of the customer service complaints. I received so much attention that it felt less like customer service and more like loss prevention. I cannot say for certain what motivated the excessive monitoring, but the experience left me uncomfortable enough to leave without making a purchase. I would suggest full staff on a slow day to clean the shelves (I got makeup all over my sweater) and re-stock the aisles versus harassing customers. I went to Monrovia Ulta afterwards, approached by two sale associates and that was it. I got the products I needed for my special event.

First, the phone call to make the appointment was easy. They were polite and efficient both with booking the initial consult and with rescheduling when I needed. However, once I got to the actual appointment, I didn't enjoy their service. I arrived for my appointment at 2pm, and at the front desk was a security officer instead of a receptionist. He seemed confused by my presence and told me that everyone was out to lunch. I was confused and he told me to talk to one of the nurses, but she looked annoyed at me and told me to keep waiting in the lobby -- when I asked if they were on their lunch, she said no and to be patient. Finally, I was seen by the consultant. The consultant was very no-nonsense and didn't seem to have the patience to answer my questions. When I asked her about my concerns re: skin fat burning, she would brush them off by saying "Well, just use a different laser then". Okay, but...she didn't answer my questions or really explain the pros and cons of each laser? Ultimately, I will choose a different location. There are other places with similar pricing where you will feel valued and treated like a patient.
