She was on time, incredibly patient, and so easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. She was also a joy to hangout with all day. She was very responsive and even flexible when I had to change locations last minute, which took a huge amount of stress off my shoulders. Her team was also punctual, professional, and did a great job keeping us on schedule, which made the morning run so smoothly. Her travel fee was very reasonable as well. One small thing to note (which may be standard) is that there is a fee per artist if you move locations. Overall, I'm so grateful to have had her and her team as part of my wedding day!

Pai was the most wonderfully nice, friendly, attentive hairstylist I ever had. The place has seen many changes what with owners and such, but the one constant was always Pai. Unfortunately, she got sick and is no longer working, but I wanted to write a review anyway because she alone was a 5 star experience for more than half of my life.

I had a very subpar experience with Sarah for makeup. During the trial, I found the eyebrow makeup…read moreto be way too heavy handed and unnaturally square (looked drawn on), lip color was very off (muddy grayish-purple) and made me look like a corpse, the eyeliner was not refined and the blush was placed far too low on my face, resulting in a dragged, droopy look. In addition, sparkly blush (not matte) was used, and enhanced every pore on my cheeks. I submitted this feedback in the trial form, as I was told anything can be modified and that they would take my notes into account the day of. Unfortunately, on the day of the wedding, it became clear that none of the notes had been read or followed. The application felt very rushed, and the artist seemed stressed. The exact same makeup techniques as described above were used, and when I wanted to look at the mirror and asked for certain things (minimal brow makeup to avoid a harsh look, brighter lip color), I was met with resistance and frustration on the part of the artist ("just wait till the end, it will come together"). I waited till the end and, unfortunately, had the same outcome. I requested some of the eyebrow makeup be brushed off, but by that time the makeup had already been set with setting spray and was not really budging. Sparkly blush heavily placed low on cheeks again had the same drooping effect. Lip color was very dull and grayish, and I ended up adding some of my own berry lipstick to try and liven it up. Sadly, the wedding photos really amplified all the issues above. The makeup looked heavy handed and unrefined, I didn't feel quite like myself or comfortable in my skin, and I felt disappointed. I am sharing this in the hopes that it might help other brides-to-be: please choose your makeup artist or team carefully, and if something feels off in the trial, definitely go somewhere else- your feedback may never be taken into account.

I loved the cut, it let me have curls in the right places and it was layered correctly for how I wear my hair. HAIR COLOR: 1) She uses Redken color! That's hard to find since the last girl had a tackle box full of all kinds of different products! That's key. know the stylist is using quality stuff. 2) She used 40 developer. Anything less I've discovered over time turns me orange. 3) She knows how to do foils correctly. You can tell once the finished product is in front of you how much greater your highlights will turn out if their foil technique is mastered and Brenda's is beautiful. 4) She is a delight to chat with. Every girl knows when they visit their hair stylist they will leave feeling fresh and rejuvenated and ready for happy hour with their friends or their man. (gotta show everyone how great your hair turned out! ) And this evening was no different. I do gotta say when I wash my ahir since all my hair is colored its very difficult to get your fingers through it but next time I do highlights with a base color I will go darker and help it out a little. I finally found a girl in Austin/RR that didn't turn me orange and these are the best blonde highlights I've had in the Austin area in over a year and a half.
