I've been taking my Persian here for a couple years now. He gets the lion cut and nails trimmed. He's always really relaxed when I pick him up. I feel like it's efficient. I drop him off at 9:30am and is usually done between 12-1pm. With washing and drying time I kind of expect that. Places like PetSmart and my vet usually take a full day. My cat loves getting his haircut I think. When he gets home he parades his new cut and is always so social and affectionate. More so than before he gets his cut. I'm surprised at the other bad reviews. They're always nice, busy, but nice and my cat always looks amazing. read more

Do not go here! They took notes about how we wanted our dog groomed and then ignored everything we said. She came out bleeding from her nails because they cut them to the quick! Butchers! I'd take back a star if I could. Yes, that bad! read more

I brought my Standard Poodle in for a groom a few months ago. When I came to pick her up, she looked and smelled great, and the groomer let me know she had been difficult (which is strange as I groom her myself when I can and she's rather patient about the whole thing). I got her home and realized that the groomer had trimmed all of her nails so short they were bleeding!!!!! Becky has always been a little wary of getting her nails trimmed, but now she will flat out refuse to let me get near her with the clippers (and who can blame her!) My vet was appalled when I brought her in the next day to see if they could help her. They put her on an antibiotic and a pain reliever right away. The worst part of all this, is that when I called and asked her about it, she said the nails were too long and she had to trim them back. I told her what my vet said, and she told me the vet was over reacting, it was fine and she, "does it all the time!" Really? you think it's okay to hurt and traumatize dogs just to get their nails super short????? Becky's nails were not even all that long, they didn't even touch the ground. It has taken me three long months to regain my dog's trust so I can handle her feet again without her getting upset. I would NEVER bring a pet here, even if it was the last groomer on earth. read more

Takes a lot for me to go out of my way to write a review, so here goes. It's been about a week now since we brought our dog here, had an appointment, dropped her off at 9:15 AM, and had to wait until 6 PM to pick her up. The haircut and all that, great fine, the owner is talented when it comes to the art of grooming and there's no denying that. But the owner was beyond rude to me at pickup, utterly disrespectful and quite frankly, a total b****. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or what, but it was absolutely uncalled for and I honestly could not believe that anyone would treat a paying customer like this. Dogs are not fed during the day, nor let out to relieve themselves. I even asked if they had let her out ONCE to pee during the 9.5 hour duration she was in the cage, the response was "I mean maybe if she went in the crate??" I've noticed several other reviews on here claiming similar experiences and I agree, it is just not right. My dog sat caged all day, starving, and overall just upset. He came home and has not been himself, acting lethargic and almost depressed. If you can, please do your dog a favor and seek another groomer. Cheshire is a GREAT town with plenty of other grooming services. Plenty.. read more

Fist time here. Brought our long haired rescue cat in for a "de-thatching". Allison did a fantastic job! Two shampoos, a blow dry and she looks like a million. (Allison is pretty cute too....) Ugh, it takes a lot for me to write negative reviews, but A. They said we couldn't make an appointment, so we brought our cat in at 9:30 AM and it took till about 1pm to get her back home. Our old vet without an appt. would get us in and out in 10 min while we waited. B. we went there before to get the same cat a flea bath and grooming, that was $30 this time it was just a grooming and it was $50. C. Typical pad trimming, butt trimming, and claw trimming is about $13-$20 I've never spent $50! I'll give 3 stars because the job was done well but we will probably travel farther to get the same service quicker and at a fraction of the cost. read more

My dog came back traumatized after seven hours in a cage waiting to be groomed and it was clear when I picked him up that he had not been brought out to relieve himself. They wouldn't give me a specific grooming time and I was home all day so I could have brought him closer to the time he was going to be groomed. I didn't think they would keep him most of the day. This place is also not well suited for large dogs considering they were cooped up in cages all day while the little dogs ran around the grooming area while the big dogs watched them for their cages. Additionally, I had called twice to see if he was ready and when she finally called me to say he was ready she made a point of telling me how dirty he was. Two responses to that: 1) it was the end of a long winter, and 2) I wasn't bringing a clean dog to be bathed! Was she looking for a bigger tip by telling me how dirty my dog was? Quite honestly, it was really obnoxious. Overall, not a good grooming experience. Won't be bringing my dog back there again... read more
