I can't say enough wonderful things about Gabe and her team. Not only are their cuts perfection, they are super gentle with my little old man, Miles. Every time we leave the salon, Miles (15yo) looks and acts like a little pup. He trots to the car with an extra pep in his step... melts my heart every time. Let me start off by saying that I have brought my German Shepherd there (twice) and one experience was OK the next, terrible. My first time there, the young girl was very nice and accomidating. I told her my dog was rather large and would need alot of TLC because he is a long haired GSD. She was good with it. He came back sparkling and looked amazing. They did a great job on his cut and his teeth and nails were nicely trimmed. The bad: My 2nd time going here, the lady was rather rude. I explained to her that I had to drop off my dog (because of work) at 8am and my father would go to pick him up. She explained to my father that my dog was "hard to control" (even though she never had an issue before) and that he tried to bite (HE HAS NEVER BITTEN ANYBODY EVER) when they were taking him away from a female dog (DUH). Anyways, she told my father that she would rather not have him return, because he tried to become sexual with another dog. Sorry but I do not know what planet this lady is on, but dogs do try to become sexual with eachother. She reccommended by dog be neutred before he is "welcomed back". I was very upset to see that their method of drying dogs was to put them in a kennel and blow the air at them using an industrial floor drier. I was very upset by how this woman was unprofessional and telling me my dog was "not welcome" Guess my money isn't going to be welcome into her place either. ;) read more

Great place to take your furry friend to get washed, clipped and styled. Every time I pick up my boyfriends dog from this place the little cocker spaniel looks so adorable. They even give him a cute bandana around his neck to make him look like a metro sexual dog. It is adorable. The staff are attentive and know you on a first name basis which is nice. And as far as I know they are well priced. read more

We went to Hot Diggity Dog on a recommendation from a friend and are very happy we did. We've never had a bad experience here. They even do a special cut for our little Bichon, who always comes home looking fluffy and cute--with a seasonally appropriate bandana to boot. read more

It used to be good. Not anymore. The owner was very rude and performed a very disappointing job on my dog. I don't think she absolutely knows how to groom a dog. Something is up with this place. Absolutely not recommended. And if you do go there make sure to ask who is doing ur baby. If the owner's doing it RUN AWAY!!! What a joke read more

We can't recommend this Groomer. Our experience was with a long-haired breed and unfortunately this groomer did not prove to be experienced with grooming long-haired dogs. We attempted to establish a relationship with this parlor and groomer over a period of months, but it just didn't work out. Worse than the poor haircuts, the dogs were very nervous upon arrival, nervous to the point that we felt sorry for them. They would shake like a leaf. I don't know what the problem is with the quality of the grooming. Possibly inexperienced assistants performed cuts on our dogs or possibly the owner is just limited in her experience. Their mustaches would almost always be cut off and once once the dogs forehead was cut so short it was almost down to his skin. We finally had enough and gave up on Hot Diggity Dog. We did some research and found another parlor which has show experience with long-haired breeds. Now the dogs are happy and they look normal. Their groomings continually garner compliments even from strangers. read more

We've taken our soft coated wheaton terrier there for a few years now and she loves it and so do we. She gets all excited when we pull into the parking lot. The staff is fantastic, so caring and knowledgeable. She comes home smelling and looking great. She has multiple allergies so they have no problem with using our special shampoo and also alert us to any new allergy spots that we may have missed. Love Hot Diggety Dog! I live in New York City, but have my maltipoo groomed here (my bf lives in Wallingford). Besides doing a great job on the cut, they are very attentive. They called to tell me about some unusual behavior, allowing me to pick her up and get her in the vet and on antibiotics before the vet closed that day. read more

I have been taking my dog to Hot Diggity Dog for 14 years. She always looks great when she comes home and smells so pretty. The owner loves dogs and is great with them. I recommended them to an elderly relative who was extremely happy with their service and attentiveness. My dog is a schnauzer which is a very difficult cut and I never had any problems. Love this place to get my dog groomed! We tried it on a whim bc all of our usual places were booked and our 10 month old puppy desperately needed a hair cut. We are so happy we did! Staff is nice, prices are fairly reasonable, and most importantly our dogs look great!! We are never going elsewhere again! read more

I have brought my shih tzu about 6 times here to be groomed. Sometimes she is do e beautifully and other times she is hardly trimmed. Very inconsistent results. Today I brought her in to have her shaved at the longest length a a available and they callled and said because she had mats on her back legs and some under her front legs they couldnt do it. When I picked her up I asked why they didnt do her body and was told she would look silly. I dont understand why they couldnt remove the few and I mean few mats and then do her body as requested. I was charged $40 for basically a bath and trimming around her eyes. Never again. I dont have money to waste on inconsistent grooming. I called them when I got home to tell them it was an expensive bath but they had nothing to say. Wont be back. read more

I have been taking my cockapoo to Hot Diggity for a couple of years. I am always happy with the results. They are very pleasant and accommodating. Lately I have had to wait quite a while for an appointment, but I that's because they do a good job - so they're busy. My dog has never had a bad grooming, and has never had a nick, or a razor burn of any kind. They don't take credit cards. read more

I love taking my dogs here. I just drop them off in the morning and pick them up when there ready! They never hassle me about when I pick them up (my job is kinda erratic) and they are always super friendly and pleasant! They know exactly who I am and what I usually get done and who my dogs are. The dogs are always happy and clean when I come to get them and look like they have generally enjoyed their grooming and the time they have spent there. I defiantly recommend them. read more

My family has used this grooming parlor exclusively for three pets (a black labrador retriever who loved going there, a pug, and now a french bulldog) over the years. We took our golden doodle there to be groomed. While he came out looking OK I am very upset with the way the day went. We were told to drop him off at 9:00 am and that it would take a few hours. By 2:00 pm I had not heard from them so I called to see how much longer, only to find out that he was next and had not even been started yet! I was finally able to pick him up at 3:30. When I asked what time they actually started him the girl at the desk skirted around the subject until I finally got her to admit he sat in a cage all day until his turn came at 2:30. I asked why he needed to be there so early if he was just going to wait all day and the response was "that's the way we do it." When I finally got him home he gulped down as much water as he could, making me wonder if he was even given water all day or not. Needless to say we will not be returning and I can't recommend this groomer to anyone. Very disappointed to say the least. read more
