I got a keratin treatment for medium-long hair, and the stylist took an hour and a half; my hair will likely be back to its original state in a month and a half. The average time for my hair length should be between 3 and 3 1/2 hours. I do not recommend this place for a keratin treatment. read more

I love it!!! I have been looking to get a straight perm for a while and after a lot of research I found this salon. They were quick to respond with an appointment time. The whole process for long hair took about 4 hours. Quoted ~ $400 They were really nice and offered me a matcha tea. They also have a cat that sat on my lap for a while which was really cute. My stylist didn't speak a lot of English, which was fine since the nice lady who works there was able to translate. I went to get a Japanese straight perm today and my two daughters got their hair colored. We enjoyed our salon experience very much. Making an appt was easy, I messaged the salon on instagram and the appt was set up quickly. When we got there the hairstylists were very professional and knew what to do. My daughter's hair was exposed to "gloss" so they had to do a test strip first. For my Japanese perm it's my 2nd time and they do a fabulous job at this salon. She remembered my hair type and added a hair treatment during and after the perm. The previous place I went to my hair would only be semi straight for 2 months. At this salon they do the straightening perm well which lasted a year for me (I have difficult frizzy hair) I highly recommend this salon. Nice staff and they have two absolutely beautiful cats! One of them even lets you hold him if you want in a basket on your lap while you get your hair done. So it's also like a cat salon. Lol read more

This is one of the best hair results I ever had. Annie is very professional and knows what she is doing. I came for the Japanese perm a week ago and the results were beyond my expectations. Ive wash my hair 3 times already and it looks so natural that i dont need my flat iron anymore. As a tip this is a strong process for your hair, for best results i suggest to cut you hair before and then if necessary a few weeks after the treatment. Also consider on preparing your hair for the process at least a month prior. That is just for best results, it worked for me and i been doing this for 12 years +. I have gone to this salon for a haircut and magic hair straightening. I wanted to go lighter this time and figured since I was happy with the other services, I could trust this place to give me a great coloring experience. I had asked for something of an ashy blonde brown and left the salon with bright Orange hair. I tried to like it but it was nothing close to what I had asked for. I went in for a perm, and they did half digital and half traditional. Overall I was pretty happy with the service, but minus 1 star because: 1) They weren't particularly friendly... they mostly just talked to each other in Chinese. 2) My hair came out very pretty immediately after the perm but it's been a few weeks now and the waves are kind of going limp. They are pretty unnoticeable most days. Considering I paid $180 I was hoping the waves would last a bit longer... Their straight perm seems really good (like actually miraculous... I saw a girl getting it while I was there), but I don't know if I can wholeheartedly recommend them for waves/curls. read more

I highly recommend this place for a Japanese straight perm! It's been two weeks since I've had it done and I am loving it! Never have I had the sensibility of just getting out of the shower, combing my hair through and going on my way. I've always had to allow myself extra time to blow-dry and straighten. Now, I get out of the shower and go! This straight perm is heaven-sent. I have more time now and my hair is healthier because I'm no longer using so much heat on it. My appointment took 3 hours. The staff was very professional. This was my first time with this treatment and Annie answered all of my questions. The product is super smelly for the first week, especially during the first few days before you can wash it. You don't need to use any special shampoo, so long as it's paraben-free! I have been getting my hair chemically straightened for 10+ years and have been getting the Japanese straightening perm for the 7 years. I took a break from treating my hair for a couple of years because of pregnancy. But the post partum hair loss and regrowth made my hair texture very dry and wavy like it once was a very long time ago and I have had my hair in a lot bun/pony tail for almost a year. Since it had been so long since I had last treated my hair and the place I use to go in diamond bar was under new management, I found Annie initially on Groupon and after reading the reviews I decided to try. The studio is very well ventilated so that the chemical smell does not overwhelm you. After the treatment, the shampoo and conditioner she uses also made my hair smell less like the chemicals applied which one of the reasons why I had put off chemically straightening my hair so that my baby does not have to smell it. I normally have to get a haircut after treating my hair because the ends will be dead, but the product Annie uses seems to be a lot less harsh. I am incredibly happy with how my hair feels and look after the treatment. I definitely will be coming back for future treatments. read more

In response to Annie's reply: Had you read my review correctly, you would realize that my only issue was with the job not being finished. I said that Yelp put the wrong address and did not blame you for that. It was to let people know so that they don't go to the wrong location. Secondly, I said I had no problem with the 6 hours. I was just letting others know that it can take longer than expected. I did NOT say it took too long. Third, I am mixed but not African-American so before you go and assume people's race maybe you should take a step back and think twice about it. You asked me how often I straighten my hair and I told you ONCE a week. That is not "very often." My split ends were cut a week prior to coming in to see you. You used a straightening iron on my hair right before applying the neutralizer and it was WAY straighter than after you rinsed out the neutralizer and blow dried my hair. Multiple hair websites, including Groupon, where your business was advertised, say that a flat iron should be used again for one last time. After reading your reply, I think giving two stars was much too generous. read more

I love this salon so much!! I had been wanting to get a perm but was also afraid of what it might do to my hair. I was also really afraid that it might not come out the way I wanted it to. After finding this business on Yelp, I went in for a consultation with Annie and she explained to me the different types of perms as well as the the effects they would have on my hair. I showed her a few pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like and she came to the conclusion that a digital perm was the best way to reach the results I wanted. During the whole consultation she was very understanding and knowledgable. I trusted her and decided to get my perm the same day! It was a long process but it was worth it! My hair had turned out exactly how I wanted it to so I really could not have been happier. The price was $200, which is very reasonable for a digital perm! I almost went to another salon that did them for $280 before I found Beauty Link. You can tell they put a lot of care into doing your hair as Annie and Isaac, the other hair stylist here, discussed the best way to go about doing the perm before they started. I really felt relaxed with my hair in their hands. About a week after my perm, I noticed my hair was becoming straighter at a fast rate. I let Annie know about my problems and she proposed that I could come back and get some tighter curls added free of charge! She is really the nicest hair stylist out there and will make it her responsibility to take care of your hair until the end.
