Two hairstylist, Alex and Kiki, were very professional and patience while explaining all my options to me and giving me good advice on what I should do and the possible outcomes of them. My experience: I was indecisive in between getting ash grey color (requires bleaching) and brown color (no bleach). I took a very long time deciding, but they were very patient and told me not to worry and to do what I want. Both Alex and Kiki have very professional skills and finished in a timely manner. I didn't fell bored or uncomfortable at all. They offered me water and make sure I was doing okay every 20 mins-ish. The vibe at the salon was great, there was nice background music played. I really don't like leaving bad reviews for first time salon I want to give a young stylist a chance. But my haircut experience was terrible. I came in to fix a bad haircut from another stylist, and I left with even shorter hair and big bangs I never wanted. The owner did try to fix it and gave me a 20% discount, so I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1. But my hair is still ruined for my big day tomorrow, and it'll probably take another 3 months to grow out. I feel like I look stupid with this haircut, and I'm just so frustrated. I just t don't have lucks with stylists. Hair wash: I had long hair when I went in. When the man was conditioning my hair, I felt a lot of pulling and my hair falling off. Hair cut: I don't understand why does he need to use the thinning scissor so much? I was watching how he thinned my hair and he started right at my scalp part. Lots and lots and lots of thinning! I never asked for that! I wanted to "trust the process," but that was a bad idea. When I touch my hair now, I feel really really short hair (like 1 mm) here and there. I went in with voluminous straight hair and came out with short and thin hair. He even asked me at the beginning whether I want it short but also be able to tie a small ponytail and I said yes! I cannot even tie my hair half way up. He was also not gentle when cutting my hair, there was a lot of pulling with the scissors. I take care of my hair A LOT, but he ruined it with all the thinning and hot air blow drying. My hair wasn't even soft anymore when I went out. I went out of the salon sad cause I already know it's bad while looking at him cut it. Discount plus tips and tax total was $52. I have been doing my hair with Yangi for the past 2 years and I can't be happier. I bleached my long hair to chopping it off to short hair with her. At first I didn't know what change in hairstyle I wanted, but I had pictures of styles I liked. Although I was too embarrassed to just "show her the pictures" of the haircuts I had, Yangi never laughed at me and made sure to walk me through the process. Don't be afraid of doing the same!
