My first time here and I'm happy to say I will be back. The work was very good and we were done within 2 hours. Overall, for my services alone (builder gel + pedicure gel) it was just under $100. Since we got multiple services and one was a fill (5 services total), we paid just under $200 before tip. In my opinion that's very reasonable considering we got designs. I will be bringing my sister here so she can get serviced as well! read more

The woman who did my pedicure told me that some product they had blood gel was $10 extra. I declined that SERVICE just wanted regular gel but I did get VIP which was $48. When I got up, she said it was $60 because she gave me the blood gel,which I did not ask for but when she told me it was $10 not $12. I paid the amount because I didn't wanna fuss with her but there's no way you're able to know if she gives you this blood gel or not because it just was regular nail polish. I felt totally ripped off. read more

Nails are a good price, the service was fast and well done. I went in for acrylics and the lady convinced me to try gelX. The salon was clean and it looks like they offer a variety of options. I'm not sure about the perfumes as I didn't see any when I was in there but for nails I would go again. I got a simple medium length cat eye square for about $60. read more

I decided to try a new place on a Monday afternoon. I arrived at this place and was greeted very kindly by the staff. They were super clean and nice. No complaints there. I had my pedicure done by a gentleman who i think missed the point of getting a ($40+ tip) deluxe pedicure. I barely got any scrubbing, callas removal, or massage done. He was quick to paint the nails (which he did a good job on) but I left without the fresh/ clean feel on my skin. Basically, he did so little work on the skin and focused on the nails. For this reason, I do not recommend this place if you care about the skin part of the routine. read more

As of May 21 2926 this used to be my go to nail salon. Henry was amazing! From the time I entered the door, the service was oh. The owner yelled at me from across the salon asking what service I wanted, instead of getting up from her recliner and coming to the front desk! No, she didn't have a client. I should have left then. I had just come from South Africa and desperately need mani and pedi for a function! It gets worse! This day I got the laughing hyena not so professional nail. technician! She laughed and smirked throughout the entire lack of service then painted my nails the wrong color. Everything was hysterical! So rude! I admit I nodded from the 17 hour international flight! I definitely picked my nail and toe color, I awoke with pink frosted nails, not my style, not my color, and sloppy painted gold glitter toes. Do yourself a favor... find a place for your mani and pedi where there are no laughing hyenas!!!! read more

I'll start by saying I am incredibly picky about who I allow to do my nails. I was looking for a new nail tech because you always need a backup to your primary. I'm happy I stumbled upon Beauty Nails & Perfumes...Vicky does an excellent job and is amazing at any nail design you ask her to try. My visits to European Wax Center (EWC) are quite rare, like once every year or maybe even two. I've…read morenoticed once per year, they always put out a promo where you can get 50% off a new service, where "new service" is defined as any service that you have not received within the past 12 months. In this most recent case, I hadn't gone in two years, so really, any service would have been considered "new" to me. I went with the Brazilian Wax, which I did two years ago, and also tacked on an eyebrow wax because when in Rome. Or somewhere else in Europe I suppose? lol There are only two wax specialists at the Long Beach Towne Center location who can do Brazilian Wax on men: Millie and Brianne. I actually had Millie as my waxing specialist on a visit back in 2022, and while I thought she was good enough for me to recommend to others, I wanted to see how Brianne would compare. Immediately after I made my appointment, I gave them a call to see if the 50% off could be applied to the Brazilian Wax. Terrace (sp?) over the phone fielded my call and, initially, stated that since I had gotten the Brazilian Wax before, I couldn't use the 50% off on that. However, she immediately retracted her statement before I could say something when she realized that my last Brazilian Wax was way more than 12 months ago. I had forgotten about this until the evening before, but there are some check-in forms you need to fill out prior to your arrival, or if you neglected to do so, I'm sure they would have asked you to fill them out before your appointment. I arrived about 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment time and spent the next 10 minutes exploring the adjacent businesses. When I came in, Aaliyah at the front desk greeted me by name. What?! I suppose it's because there aren't too many male customers of European Wax Center, but that was kind of cool, yet also a little creepy lol. It took 5 to 10 minutes before Brianne called me back into one of the rooms. I personally would have preferred to do the eyebrow wax first since that seemed to be easier, but she said we were going to do the Brazilian Wax first instead. I had the Brazilian Wax done a couple of times before, so I kind of knew what to expect, but man, it still hurt, even though I was expecting it to hurt a little more. Brianne wasn't bad, but I didn't really get good vibes from her since her demeanor was quite sassy during my appointment. She also didn't really give me any warning as to when she would pull the wax off my skin, and when she was doing my eyebrow wax, I legit thought she was going to poke one of my eyes despite her telling me to relax my eyes. But nevertheless, she did a good job of waxing. Before she took me back to the lobby, she reminded me that I shouldn't exfoliate for a couple of days after my wax, and she also asked if I'd like to purchase any products prior to leaving, to which I declined. When I came back to the front to pay for my services, I was about to put my card into the reader, but Aaliyah said they had my card on file, so I didn't even need to take my card out of my wallet. Interesting, but I also hope they don't charge me for something I didn't approve beforehand. Actually, they did schedule an appointment for exactly four weeks later at the exact same time at the exact same location. Now that, I would not approve since this was my rare Wednesday afternoon off, and with how my schedule has been this year, I doubt I would have been able to make it, in time at least. So I simply told Aaliyah to cancel since I myself wouldn't even know when would be the next available time, though truthfully, I was never planning to go for the remainder of the year unless I get another discount lol. Let's face it, waxing is pretty pricey, but a good experience to try if you haven't! I left, but then returned shortly when I noticed I didn't get an email receipt that confirmed my payment. I asked Aaliyah, and she was gracious enough to send not one, but two copies of my email receipt; they just came in rather late. The day after my appointment, I received an email from EWC giving some tips on what to do and what not to do after the appointment. Besides the unauthorized future appointment, which I did confirm online was no longer booked, the receptionists at the front desk deserve 5 stars. But neither Millie nor Brianne impressed me enough to want to do a Brazilian Wax here again, unless they hire a different wax specialist by next year. I think 4 stars is fair, but I would likely choose a different location next time.

I have gotten plenty of waxes before, I know a good wax and I know what good atmosphere feels like and I did not experience that today. I considered going back in to just have the rest of the hair removed but I really hate to be bald. I'm still debating.

Waxer was nice, but you could tell she didn't want to be there and that the early morning appointment was an inconvenience to her. Constant yawning and saying it's too early to be here. Lacks professionalism. I left with wax, baby powder, and still portions of my leg with hair on it (like literally missed my whole inner thigh and outer thigh). I walked out of the room and told her I still had wax on me and she just apologized and didn't take me back into the room to remove it. Wax all over the trash bins, floors dirty, and baseboards with who knows what all over. To add onto that, when it was time for me to turn over on my stomach, there was still wax on my leg which ripped the paper lining I was laying on & I could see old blood stains on the cloth under. At that moment, I seriously should have walked out and left. I still left a tip but needs serious improvement as I expected more from a service that has 4.8 stars on Yelp. Avoid if you value cleanliness, etiquette, and overall have high expectations. Will be returning back to my previous waxer.

I had one of the worst experiences at this nail salon. I booked a 3:30 PM appointment, expecting to be seen on time, but that was far from the case. When I arrived, they told me to come back in 30 minutes. Although I was frustrated, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and returned at 4:00 PM. To my dismay, they asked me to wait an additional 15 minutes. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes before I finally gave up and left. The lack of respect for my time was appalling. If they knew they were overbooked or running behind, they should have communicated that clearly when I scheduled my appointment or when I first arrived. Instead, I was given false promises and left to sit there inhaling the toxic chemical fumes in the salon for no reason. The staff was unprofessional and dismissive. They didn't offer any genuine apologies or solutions to make up for the inconvenience. I wasted my entire afternoon with nothing to show for it except a headache from the fumes and a lot of frustration. I will never return to this salon and would strongly advise others to stay away. My friend and I's price both ended up being $110 (not including a tip). Which is outrageous because she got a different design on each finger!! I got chrome/cat eye and 1 or 2 stars on 4 nails total. They kept us past closing time, which is why we did not take the time to argue. Although, even two weeks later I look at my nails every day and I think..... my nails were not worth $110. The stars are smeared and it will never be worth $110. In the past, I've never paid more than $85 at this salon for gel-x (no take off) with a simple design. I even checked online to verify design minimum and maximum price ranges. At most, I should have paid $90. My friend got an acrylic fill with a design and she also feels like she over paid with how inconsistent the line work is and.. IT WAS A FILL. I've recommended lots of friends here in the past, but it seems like they are kind to you so they can secretly increase the price. My friends that ended up going here, shared with me they will not go back because the pricing isn't fair. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you're comfortable paying $110 minimum for anything nail related. What would have been better is communicating and itemizing why a design is at a certain price point. From what I see online pricing, I should have paid: $65 new gel-x (no take off) + $15 cat-eye + $10 1-2 stars on 4 fingers = $90 Where did the extra $20 come from??? I get this economy is different now, but I tipped $15 too. If I'm paying $125 for nails, the design should have reflected that. AND JUST TO CLARIFY THE MANAGER'S RESPONSE: NO ONE PAID $99!!!!!!! This response is a representation of their lack of accountability. This was my experience and Yelp allows you voice out about that.

Very clean and well organized. One side was where all the spa pedicure takes place. Everything was covered and cleaned before the service. The opposite side was where all the manicure tables are placed. Tables were next to each for the cohesive vibe. Behind them a massive wall of more polishes. Also there was a television which was great if you wanted to watch tv while your service. I believe they also had a waxing room in the back. Price wise for the spa pedicure service was 45.00 for everything. If you wanted French polish that was additional fee. Credit or cash payment accepted but if you pay cash, it was a little discount which was nice. The service was great. Friendly staff and well cleaned salon. Everyone was great and professional. A nice place and great experience for us. If we're in town again and need something done, we'll for sure be back.
