I've been to Redondo 7 Nails twice now, for a hard gel full set, then a fill. My appointment for the fill was almost 3 weeks ago and other than being grown out, my nails are as secure and polished as the day I got them -- no chips or lifting! Raymond is so kind and really cares about customer comfort and satisfaction, and Sunny is a very skilled nail tech. I really appreciate this salon's extensive collection of colors and polish finishes. Appointments are easy to book and the prices are fair for the current economy. Sometimes parking in the small lot is not possible, but there is also street parking and a larger parking lot (in the shopping center) not too far away. This is the first nail salon I've been to since moving to the Long Beach area and I feel no desire to try other salons as Redondo 7 is quite competent. Looking forward to getting a pedicure in the future so I can review that service as well! read more

I'm not sure if this place was bought or if there's just been a full turnover, but I went back on 3/5 and got a mediocre gel manicure from a pretty rude nail tech. First, they made fun of me for what felt like ages amongst themselves because I said I wanted my natural nails to be almond shaped and it started this whole thing where they were trying to figure out if I wanted plastic nails. She asked if I wanted short or long, and I was just trying to I guess communicate with the language barrier and say I didn't want my nails cut any shorter and just to be shaped, but when I said long, she seemed convinced again that I wanted plastic nails. Once we overcame that, the manicurist cured gel polish on my skin, which is how you get allergic dermatitis. Awesome. The gel also flooded my cuticle bed on three of the 10 nails, and they are now pulling up at the edges. They said I could go back and get it fixed within 10 days, but honestly... forget it. I'll just go elsewhere next time. $40 and not really worth it. See photo for what it looks like 1 week after the gel manicure. Not cool. I could easily have done this at home. read more

3.5 stars for Redondo 7 Nails This nail shop is located on Anaheim adjacent to a McDonald's. It has a small parking lot, kinda full of litter but I'm sure the nail shop has no control over that. Upon entering I was immediately greeted. I wanted a regular pedicure service. A man that I'm assuming is the owner, walked out and greeted me. He was super friendly and had me sit in one of the pedicure chairs. The chair is your standard pedicure chair with massage buttons and a foot bath attached to it. Another man came out from the back and he was my pedicure nail tech. He was attentive overall. The first was that the nail tech cut my cuticle a bit too much and I ended up with a small cut that bled a bit. He noticed this but didn't say anything (and neither did I). He proceeds to work on my feet and when it comes time for nail polish on my toenails, he noticed my cuticle was still slightly bleeding. He applied some sort of oil or tincture (antiseptic?), which ended up messing up my nail polish. He proceeds to use acetone to remove my polish. It BURNED!!! I winced in pain, I couldn't help it. Strike 2. He sprayed water on my toes to remove the acetone and wiped it off. Redid my nail polish and my toes and pedicure were done. Once he was done, he left and went to the back room. The owner passed by and told me to wait 10 minutes for it to dry and I did. I didn't see my nail tech again. No follow up, no help with my sandals. I started getting up on my own. I paid and left. I will not be returning to this nail salon, it was my first and only visit. I'm pleased to see so many others experience positive interactions here and get great service. Overall the service is good. The shop is very small. The workers are very friendly. read more

I scheduled my appointment over the phone for Mimi based off Yelp reviews but when I arrived I learned she "no longer works here". Raymond greeted me with the bad news but quickly promised me the "best" he had: Michelle. Raymond talked with me while Michelle finished up the client she had and he has a really great personality: charismatic, personable and extremely friendly! The transition went smoothly from Raymond and I talking to me being in the massage chair and Michelle beginning my pedi. Then afterwards I moved over to the table to get my mani. For this place to be as deserted as it always is, you'd think that they would be eager to provide quality service. I've been to this salon multiple times and each time was an unpleasant experience so I've officially given up on them. I visited early in the morning there were three ladies present; and all of them were attending to other customers. One of the ladies was nice and told me that there was a lady coming in and she would help me soak my nails off. The other lady gets there and confirms with the lady that she wanted her to soak my nails off so she goes and gets her cart and then comes to me and asks me again that if I wanted a soak off, I responded and told her yes. She then asked me if I wanted a manicure too. I told her I didn't have enough time for a manicure and simply just wanted to take my nails off, which I would assume that they charge for anyways. After responding and telling her that information, she walks away and goes to help one of the ladies that was getting a pedicure and started on her manicure. Leaving me to sit there and wait, when she was the one that was supposed to be assisting me. The lady that was assisting me the first time said that she would take my nails off for me, but I would have to wait for her to finish painting someone's toes. I simply responded and told her it's OK and went and found another shop to assist me right away. Overall, the shop seemed quiet. But it gave the feeling that they just didn't want to do it if they weren't getting more money out of it. Which is in hindsight they could've from future visits. read more

I flew into town for a wedding and needed a mani pedi badly. Because this salon has 5/5 star rating on Yelp, affordable prices and a parking lot, I decided to check this salon out. I came in and was out within the hour which I really appreciated because I was in a rush. Two people worked on my hands and feet simultaneously. Everyone was very friendly, and the owner made sure my husband was comfortable while he waited for me. I'm giving 4 stars because neither my no-chip manicure nor my (regular) pedicure lasted a week. And while I was at the salon, another patron came in to get her no-chip mani fixed. The owner told me that if I had any problems, I could come back and they'd fix it for me however I was only in town for 5 days and would've had to take the time out of my busy schedule to do so. read more

Another great visit (it's been a while since I've been back because we moved) but the nail salon hasn't changed, still AWESOME! Raymond is always cheerful and kind to everyone who has an appointment, walk-ins or even calls on the phone. You can tell he just genuinely loves his job and people. Michelle did another freaking amazing job on my nails. I just can't say enough about her. She's kind and patient. She takes her time to make sure to give you exactly what you want.
