Since they were #1 on yelp, I called and they were able to fit me in for a full set same day! Lynn did a phenomenal job! My nails are gorgeous and she exceeded my expectations. She is very thorough and a much appreciated perfectionist yet still manages to get the job done in a timely manner! The acrylic on top of my nails is even, my nails are straight, she even cleaned up any extra acrylic on the sides and under the nail, and her suggestion of adding glitter powder to one nail was a nice touch! I had been looking to get my nails done for months and was hesitant because I am very picky and a picket when nails start to lift. After reading hundreds of reviews and looking through so many photos I decided to call Beauty Nails and I am SO very happy I did!! I had my new acrylic, pink and white ombré set done by the owner, Lynn, on Feb. 28 and today still have an my nails in tact!!! I have no lifting, no separation where the tip meets the nail underneath, and have not felt the need to pick at all. I have obvious outgrown since I haven't been able have them filled since but the transition from acrylic to outgrowth is smooth unlike other times I've had my nails done. First time coming here because my usual nail salon was booked for the day. I just walked in around 2 pm and they got me in for a pedicure immediately. They have a wide array of colors more so than most salons, however the brands of them were unknown to me, they didn't have opi or Essie or Any of the usual brands. The pedicure went well, shorter time than most and for $27 dollars. Wasn't to bad and would get another here if my usual salon was booked. read more

This is a DIRTY & Disgusting place! Stay away. I was in Novato for a quick meeting and I needed a fill in..... True what Sonja said, there are quite a bit of people here, so i though, "this place must be okay"' SO NOT OKAY. I keep my nails very short although I do have tips of them and paint them french. i went in to get a fill in and for her to put a tip and acrylic on the nail that came off.... First they use dirty equipment and very dirty nail files. I asked her if she had new ones to use or if they sterilize their equipment and she explained that she doesn't understand English....and said that she didn't understand me. I even told her that I would purchase some files and take them home with me and she said that they didn't have any... For my nail that didn't have anything on it, she just put a thick layer of acrylic over it and it was way shorter than all my rest. I asked her if she could kindly put a tip on it but she said that they don't do that??? What? Am I getting too spoiled by the lovely nail places in SF? For my "french nail polish" she just painted some white on my tips and that was it. I asked her to put a light pink or flesh tone on top of it and she said they don't do that... I knew it was down hill from there, so I know have ugly, almost 8mm thick nails and I now need to go and wash and sterilize my hands. Why did I tip her 8 bucks??? Well because she asked for payment up front so I assumed that it would be good. Oh well, hopefully my money BADLY SPENT will help other yelpers by NOT going to this dump. P.S. I've always been satisfied with service...one time though I had acrylics done and they were thick, nail polish was bubbly, just plain awful, the next time I went in I let the owner know, she apologized and she did my nails herself and I loved them. PROS: usually always can take walk In's Good selection of tips and polish Acrylics stay on very well CONS: their pedi's are not very good; 2 second massage, they didn't scrub my feet too well, and you get your pedicures done in a bucket with a warmer underneath, not exactly my idea of relaxing. Let's start by stating I'm mixed w/Viet and fluent in it. I walked in to this place Sat at 9:30am mothers day weekend looking for a full set w/gel+pedi. They looked busy but said they can take me if i waited 15min, so i waited. They were so unprofessional from the start. They were talking in Vietnamese about how they needed to take a dump but needed to hurry through a customers mani worth $40 so couldn't go.They asked me to sit down on the spa chair. They were talking to each other insulting me calling me fat and seeing who could give me my pedi. They couldn't figure it out and had asked me to go over to get my mani done. The lady asked me how i wanted my nails. I told her short almond with pink to lilac ombre. She began working on my nails. Her co worker told her short almond is ugly, i felt insecure so i asked in English to change it to coffin. She changed it for me. Halfway through doing my mani she asked if i was mixed with Chinese. I stated no and that i was mixed with Viet. She asked if i could speak and understand it. I said yes. She looked so shocked and started thinking back to everything she and the ladies had said about me. She kept apologizing the whole manicure then started coming up with excuses saying she didn't say anything bad about me. I was upset and kept quite. She was finally done and asked if i liked the nails. I said its ok. She seemed insulted. She gave me square, uneven nails. Also she made it ombre natural pink to white not pink to lilac. I was then sent to get my pedi, the lady who did it seemed sweet did not do any gossiping the time i was there. Pedi was fine. I'm a little surprised by all of the positive reviews. I stopped by here to have my gel nail polish removed. I did not have an appointment, but they indicated that they would be able to take me back right away. The woman who took me was working on two other people at the same time. She applied the foils to my nails and left them on for about 25 minutes, which is not acceptable. I finally removed them myself because the nail polish remover was starting to burn my hands. When the woman was finally free, she cleaned up the nails very quickly, leaving a lot of crud under the nails. The positive aspect is that it didn't cost much. However, I was not impressed with the service or the overall atmosphere. It smells horrible in the salon and the people did not seem friendly. The salon was clean and nicely decorated and I appreciated that the women changed her gloves in-between the 3 clients that she was working on at the same time. AMAZING! My girlfriend and I wanted to pamper ourselves after a long week and deiced to get mani/pedis. Mistakenly my girlfriend sent me to a different nail place in Novato (to which I had made an appointment there ahhhhh) after figuring out the mistake I rushed over to Beauty Nails and they happily took me in! They were very busy yet I did not feel like an inconvenience at any point, they took their time with me and did not rush me at all. (It's always difficult for me to pick out the nail colors and can never decide without everyone's opinion). I'm not a big talker when it comes to getting my nails done and my manicurist did a great job at not attempting to get into conversation; she let me relax and just gently moved my hands and feet when it was necessary. Everything was amazing! So amazing that as I left I totally forgot my credit card there. After searching my home I thought to call them and the lady on the phone was so sweet and as excited as I when we realized where it was.
