They advertise beautiful styles and cuts, but the moment you're actually in the chair, the story changes: suddenly there are "extra fees" for things that should be part of the service, and you end up wasting time on unnecessary steps you never asked for. Case in point: I went in for a silk press, and rather than executing it properly, the stylist cut corners in ways that showed a real lack of skill. I come from a family of hairstylists, so I know exactly what a proper silk press requires the right sectioning, tension, and heat technique to get a smooth, long-lasting result. When I offered feedback based on that knowledge, she became visibly upset instead of taking it as constructive input. It's frustrating to pay premium prices for a service that doesn't reflect any real skill or professionalism. On top of that, I noticed while I was on my phone that she kept glancing over, reading what I was typing. It felt intrusive and unprofessional I was there for a service, not to be watched! To make things worse, when I went to pay, the owner happened to be at the desk helping another client. I asked if she was the owner, and her response was cold and dismissive. I wanted to share feedback about my experience, but she showed no interest in being professional or approachable. As the owner, I expected her to set the standard instead, she reinforced it. The pictures and promises this salon promotes online are not what you'll actually get. My hair turned out so ugly, and honestly, I left feeling completely disappointed for what I paid.

Eisela did the most FABULOUS job on my hair. Not only is she a terrific listener but she has a great sense of what you want done and most important she did everything she said she was going to do with my hair. I was already hesitant to get my hair done but I decided to go against my better judgement. I go…read moreand the place was dirty, the walls, the floors, the drawers all filthy. But I told myself let's just get this done. All I wanted was a trim and my hair to be dyed a natural black. Because I'm beginning to go gray. So I felt like this should be an easy thing to do. I don't normally go to salons, I don't normally dye my hair. Two young girls (I wish I remembered their names) start just brushing black hair dye all over the place. It was getting over my forehead, cheek, ears neck. They put nothing on before hand to make sure it didn't stain my face. When I finally get my hair wash I agree to a condition treatment. I felt like I got nothing done, I just sat there for 5 minutes. Then she blew dried my hair, not using a brush. Then used a tiny flat iron to straighten my hair. That's when I see these girls dyed my side burns black! Each side burn, why would you do that? It's like I got a line up. I'm so embarrassed. I paid over 2 hundred dollars to be completely embarrassed I look like I have side burns. I regret going here, I wish I could take it all back. I also still have grays.

BUT, she's so amazing, she deserves the acknowledgement. I had just donated about 14 inches of hair to Locks of Love and my hair that was blonde when I was growing up had become dark blonde and just kind of boring. And I hadn't had my hair "done" in over 7 or 8 years. I walked in not really knowing what I wanted and I walked out feeling beautiful. Stacy made me feel comfortable immediately, like the other reviews have said, she's honest and she's a master perfectionist at her craft. It's awesome to see someone who loves what they do so much that they get excited about and tend to the details. She's casual, funny as all get out and talkative - there were no weird moments of uncomfortable silence and you kind of feel like you're hanging out with a long-lost good friend. She took almost 4 hours on my hair, but I never felt like she was in a hurry. It felt like she knows that it takes time to create perfection and allows for that when she books her appointments. I have gotten more compliments on my hair and how natural it looks. What you see is what you get with Stacy - an honest, kind, funny, good-hearted person who wants you to feel awesome because she makes you look awesome. She's that person you meet for the first time and you want to just hang out and have a beer with her.
