I have been going to Lynn for a few months and she does an amazing job. She is focused and detailed…read moreas well as incredibly friendly. I always walk out feeling and looking great. The front desk staff is top notch as well. Thank you so much!

I am writing this review purely based on my experience even before availing the services at Shiloh…read moreNails & Spa. Key concern - not sure why the salons/spas are now providing such abysmal customer experience. Is it coz they have too much business already and couldn't be bothered or, is it now a trend that be inhospitable and stern to the brink of rudeness, customers can choose if they like it or not. How - I was introduced to the place by Yelp during one of their Events - we played some games & got an option to try regular Mani or Pedi services. Service - Though I stay quite far, I thought to try the facial at Shiloh. I called the number given on Google, last Monday (04/20/26). The lady taking the call was rather rude and aggressive. After our conversation and on something she was to let me know, she said I "will get back to you when I can"!. I till date have not received a call back from either her or anyone else at Shiloh. This person was not aware about the type of facials but she was still trying to give half baked information, half heartedly and that too in a tone (trust me) no one would want to hear or continue speaking with if calling a salon or spa. Mostly people visit these places to relax their mind; not to add stress to themselves. This conversation proved anything but helpful or calming; quite the opposite of what one expects. Post such an experience, the next day I went ahead and booked the facial with another spa. Fast forward, I saw on Yelp the Shiloh owner having provided a phone number and email to contact directly. Instead of choosing to call up directly, I thought to leave her a short text message letting her know that I saw the number on Yelp and wanted to discuss about a recent experience. No response from the owner too. Wondering - I really would like to understand why the front desk customer service quality, responsiveness of businesses and the overall attitude is getting so dismal by the day. Why can't someone sitting at the front desk be courteous/polite even if she is not knowledgeable or doesn't care to understand the services being offered by her place of work (it's understandable if she din know about the Yelp event as it was a long time ago but that too can be responded to nicely, why react? [It was told to her to let her know how I got to know about their spa - was meant as a help; since everyone these days like to ask how anyone got to know about their business]). Basis this experience not sure if I would like to recommend the place.

I made my reservation online, the day before. I chose the 11:30am spot for a hot stone massage,…read morebut when it confirmed with me, I saw that I had been placed at the 9 am spot. I called and asked for it to be fixed. No problem. I arrived a little early, but was ushered immediately into room 1. I asked to use the restroom first. When I came out of the restroom, I was ushered back into room one and the door was shut behind me. No instructions. I figured that I should probably change, so I started to undress. I had gotten down to my underwear when there was a quick knock at the door and the door opened. Someone announced "changing room." I originally thought she meant that she wanted me to undress in a changing room, but she actually wanted me to go to room 2. I got into room 2 and undressed. Still no instructions. There was a narrow strip of cloth, so I attempted to cover myself with it, but it was too narrow. I was still confused a little. I can't tell how long I waited because I didn't have my watch on and there was no clock in the room. The masseuse arrived and asked what I wanted today. Hot stone massage. She meant what part of my body I wanted her to concentrate on. Low back and feet. Ok. She'd do the massage first and then hot stones. Great. Medium pressure. Ok. The massage was a little too hard at first, but I spoke up and she adjusted the pressure. I could feel my back relaxing. Unfortunately, I'm ticklish on my feet and I wasn't able to handle the lighter pressure on them. But it was still a great massage. Suddenly, someone opened the door to room two and started speaking loudly to the masseuse. It was jarring since everything else was so quiet and I was mostly unclothed other than the narrow strip of cloth. No privacy with the door wide open! And speaking so loudly when I was trying to relax was ridiculous. We got to the hot stone part and the masseuse kept dropping the stones. Bang. The wall. Plop. The floor. Oops onto the table. I would have given 5 stars other than the online errors, the wide open door, the loud voices and the dropping of the stones. It was a good massage with a few minor drawbacks.

Everyone who works here is so kind and lovely. The salon is located in a convenient mellow spot…read moresurrounded by other businesses. There are plenty of parking spots so that's never an issue. The salon itself is immaculate and stylish. There are relaxing fountains and the color scheme is serene, a nice little escape. They carry Aveda products, which are high quality. The hairstylist I would like to give particular high praise to is Vivian for boys/mens cuts. Vivian gives a very high level of attention and care to haircuts. They are consistently flawless and that is so important to boys because you can't hide anything with curling like girls can. She always greets us with a big smile and is welcoming and thoughtful. Just a joy to be around. I am so grateful for her being in this industry! Thank you to everyone at Brilliance Salon. I wish you many years of continued success.

This review is not for the color service iitself. That was fine.; It was adequate. However, I am…read moreconcerned about how they charge for their services.. I was charged $140 for a root touch up. While this is at least $20 more than I've been charged at other Adveda salons (6 mos ago) , It is certainly their prerogative to charge that fee. The main issues are their business practices and a major discrepancy between the prices listed on their website ($80 and up for root touch up) and what they are actually charging. I brought this to their attention over the phone the day after the service, and the response I got, presumably from the owner, was that she didn't know where I was seeing that. I clearly reiterated that I was looking at their website, and that if the prices listed weren't current, they needed to be updated. I also did not receive a receipt at the time of service. I later requested it, and was told that it would be texted to me, but I never received it. I decided to write this review after reading another review from three years ago that mirrored my own experience--charged much higher than fees listed on the website with no receipt for service given. I am now feeling a bit dubious about the way they do business, and suspect that there might be different prices for the same service, for different people. I will acknowledge that I neglected to verify the fee when I made the appointment, which is something I always typically do. I also waited for a half hour past my appointment to be seen (without explanation or acknowledgment of the delay) but I have also experienced this at another local aveda salon. My appointment was almost 1 month ago, and as of today the website information remains the same.
