She made sure I was comfortable and let me run the show so that I could have the best experience. She made great conversation and was totally easy to talk with. I felt like a whole new person leaving the building; I don't often take self-care time because of my hectic school schedule and demanding job, but this will definitely be my new thing. I came in again yesterday for another wax and it was awesome, as expected. Ashley's recurring discounts are so helpful on my tight budget... you don't often find that with independent gigs like hers. Arguably the most important piece to my entire review is this: my face is actually better. Seriously. I came in for Ashley's "acne facial" because I've struggled with acne for about a decade. I asked tons of questions during the facial, which Ashley had amazing educated answers for (I mean she has an advanced degree in skin care, come on). Based on her knowledge of how I should be treating my face, I bought two Naturopathica products (cleanser and serum) and have seen a dramatic difference in acne production = NONE. I have no new acne forming on my face at all. I love that Ashley has goals for our work together, first current acne, then working on scarring, etc. She is totally invested in my recovery from acne without judgment or preconceptions - love it. Ashley is seriously a life (skin) saver. I have been going to her for waxes for over a year now and just got my first facial from her. Both experiences are/were amazing. To be real for a minute here, let talk about all that fun stuff that goes with getting bikini/Brazilian waxes. I have never had a waxer that has paid so much attention to detail. Not only does she do a great wax in general, but she also helps out with any little ingrown hairs. And I honestly like the wax she uses way better then European wax centers. All around WAY better in every way compared to Euro Wax center. Ok now I have only had two facials ever in my life. Ashley did an really great job on my facial. She sent time actually examining my skin and customized my facial for what fit me best. I have also gotten a facial at Me Spa, and they did not do this at all. She is also very well educated on her products and only uses the best healthiest stuff. After my facial my skin felt so soft and fresh. (I was so relaxed I actually accidentally got in my car to leave and sat down in the passenger seat instead of the drivers. LOL) She also got me set up with a full skin care routine. I have never been into skin care that much and honestly barely washed my face on a regular basis. I just never felt like it was worth the time or money. And to be honest, I'm lazy. Now I am happily using a daily cleanser, serum, moisturizer, and weekly enzyme peel. My skin has never felt or looked this good since before I hit puberty! I wish I had started this sooner in my life. I don't use nearly as much make-up on my skin now because my natural skin looks so good. But when I do want a little more coverage with face make-up, it sits on my face so so much better/smoother. And all the products smell amazing and are high quality, vegan/organic, cruelty free, etc. ...and all that amazing stuff you want in something you rub on your face everyday. So when you have hair growing in places that don't look so flattering like on your collar, triceps, shoulders and along that neck to back union; you have very little choices as to what you can do and I get tired of constantly having to shave it back so I asked one of my friends a long time ago and she suggested that I get it waxed. So I did and man was it painful, but I had to man up and couldn't show any pain in front of her so the next time she made the suggestion I used someone else and again it was painful. I have now gone 5 times in the last 10 years for this service and recently I decided to try out Ashley's Aesthetics as my friend gave me a gift certificate to get it done along with a facial. I have also had bad experience in the past with facials as well with breaking out after having the service done so I was really putting a lot of trust in her by even going.
