I have been going to deluxe beauty lounge for sometime. David was my stylist. He however, has left that so I went into a new recommended stylist Cassidy who ruined my hair. I just faint highlights. I had some already I just needed them touched up and touch up my color not only did she make my highlights orange she kept putting more chemicals on it to try to fix it and I why she was putting so much chemicals on my hair. I was back in the sink having it rinsed off and she kept reapplying stuff. Well, I have 3/4 inch of breakage inthe very front of my scalp above my foreheadand from all the added chemicals, she kept putting on after I asked her to stop putting on more chemicals then she insisted on trimming it because I had asked for a trim in my appointment I did not want her to do anything more with my hair against my better judgment. She trimmed it and she cut a 4 inch back of my hair where she was supposed to be trimming the layers that were already there!! However, I have tried to get in touch with the owner with no luck every time I call she's in a meeting and there's never a manager there. It's just the owner so this was my only option. I paid $235 for her to ruin my hair when I went to David $175 in and out under 3 hours and always perfect every time! I do believe I was being charged the extra time she had me back in that sink putting all the chemicals on my hair. But I was trying to find some kind of resolution to this. I have to wear my hair kind of pinned up because if I barely touch it, I get a handful of hair each and every time it's just so heartbreaking and no one seems to want to help me so I would not suggest going there unless you personally know your stylist. read more

Rose is amazing! I haven't had my hair professionally colored for several years and read some salons won't touch your hair if you've done it yourself. Hence my search for someone that is highly experienced with color. Luckily I found Rose at De'luxe. I was able to get right in and the hair magic began. My hair now has dimension and the growth of my sparkler hairs won't be as noticeable. Rose and I had great conversation including laughs and even some tears in sharing our life stories. I came in for a natural balayage I have dark brown hair and ended up with a head full of blonde highlights that look nothing like the hair inspiration picture I showed my stylist. The reason I decided to come to this place because it has great reviews and the pictures on here of their balayages looked amazing. I had originally scheduled an appointment at 3:30 then I get a call at 3:26 when I'm a block away from the salon saying the stylist has to cancel, I understand things happen but 4 minutes before my appointment really? So I rescheduled for 9am the next day when I should've just let it go and have gone to another salon. Everyone was really nice that's all I can say, I wish my hair would've came out like the pictures they have here on yelp. read more

David is an answer to a exceptionally challenging situation. I had colored my hair with 100% henna (no additives) and had lighted it on my own. When I came to David I had 3 times of bright copper orange and hot blond roots. David worked his magic. He spent hours on my hair to color correct it, making certain that no orange was peaking through. He knows his stuff! Friendly, kind, and a pure joy to work with! Got my hair done at Deluxe salon this week. The vibe there is very awesome. I met the owner and she's funny/sweet. Missy did my hair. She was awesome. Even the receptionist and the other stylists were so awesome and had the feeling of teamwork present. The Instagram photo was the inspiration. The St. Louis stylist used trillion tones to get the color. That's why I marked down one star. We were originally shooting for pastel shades. Ended up using matrix permanent fashion color line in pink blue and purple. And pulp riot highlighter yellow. Im not sure if it was a mixing thing or if matrix doesn't get that light, and the pulp riot yellow looked amazing in dye but didn't stick to my hair at all at wash out. So the color scheme itself turned out a lot different. -1 Star. That being said when I went into this I had felt flexible so I ended up being pretty happy with the result overall. Missy really nailed the pattern I had been wanting and I love the tie dye pattern that turned out. It looks fun straight and curly and I've already gotten a ton of compliments. I might dye the ends yellow again later but after 6 hours and it costing 50.00 more than I had said I wanted to spend, I was ready to go home. I'm not mad about the difference. It took an hour longer than blocked out so I understand it. Overall I would definitely recommend Missy and this salon. The technique for layering she did was superb and it was fun talking to her. You can tell she had a great understanding of the process. When you spend a long time doing your hair someone who is easy to talk to is a must. She followed up with me by text the next day to see how I was and that was amazing too to know she cared. The customer service aspect was 5 stars. And the overall result is 5. read more

Emily Park is an amazing hair stylist. My cousin referred me to her she told me how amazing Emily is and how she can transform bad hair to fantastic hair after. She did awesome on my hair my hair feels light not heavy it use to be long I needed a fresh cut and I trust her on my hair she got rid of my split ends that's what I wanted and layers. This happened a little while ago, but I'm still so upset and finally created an account specifically to give my review of this salon... I moved to Draper from Seattle when my boyfriend (now husband) was hired at a company here. He proposed to me long before the move so I had been growing my hair out as long as possible and wasn't dying it or using heat. I had an idea of how I wanted my long hair to look on my wedding day. After patiently letting it grow out for over a year, it was finally time to get it styled the way I had been dreaming of. It was almost to my waist and I wanted it right below my bra strap in the back. The cut just needed some light layering to give some nice wavy movement... nothing difficult or out of the ordinary. I read some reviews and made an appointment at De'luxe. When I first arrived at the salon I noticed a woman outside the front door, arguing with someone on her phone. It was a bit awkward walking by, but I didn't think much of it until after I checked in at the front and realized that the woman was actually my stylist, Kellie N. I sat down with Kellie and explained how I was getting married in a month and had been growing my hair out for over a year so that it would look healthy and beautiful after I got a few inches trimmed off. I showed her several pictures of the length and style that I wanted on my big day and everything seemed fine. I first became a little worried when she couldn't seem to put her phone down. She seemed distracted, but I tried to just relax and trust her. While washing my hair she asked if I was married or had kids. I reminded her that I was preparing for my wedding, which was a bit annoying, but not a huge deal. I mentioned during the cut that we had recently moved from out of state and not even 10 minutes later she told me how she just moved here and asked if I have lived here my entire life! She clearly was not paying attention to absolutely anything I was saying, which made me concerned for how well she was listening to me when I had described the style I wanted. She would do a few cuts and then grab her phone and furiously text again. She was definitely still in the middle of her fight. I suddenly felt her cutting my hair much, much higher than I had requested. I ended up with an A-line haircut that I neither wanted nor asked for. When I got to my car, I immediately called my mom in tears on FaceTime to show her what Kellie had done. It was just minutes since I had left the salon and Kellie walked by my car, once again yelling on her phone. To say I was devastated is an understatement. I know it's just hair and I don't want to be dramatic, but instead of feeling like a beautiful bride on my wedding day, I felt so embarrassed with my fake bun and the ridiculously short hairs poking out at the bottom. I had dreamed of my long beachy hair and ended up with fake hair and bobby pins holding my short hair up because an A-line looks absolutely terrible on me. There is also a weird ledge in the back, but I'm terrified to have it fixed because it's already so short. I'm still upset every time I look in the mirror. I've never had short hair in my entire life. My hair has waves, which are now tight curls because it's short. I don't look like myself and it turns my stomach every time I think about it. It's the only thing I see when I look at my wedding photos. I look so dumb. I wish Kellie had cancelled my appointment if she was having a bad day. I wish I had spoken up when she seemed to be paying more attention to her phone than to me. My advice to her is to please, please, pay closer attention to what people tell you and take it seriously! You're in a position to really mess with people's confidence!! It's going to be years before I feel like me again. :( read more

I waited a MONTH to write this since I wasn't sure if it was me that didn't like the hairstyle she gave me or if she just simply fucked up my hair and gave me whatever style she wanted. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I had showed my hairstylist what type of hair cut I wanted and she said she could do it, that is wasn't a problem. When she started to cut my hair, she was doing random cuts all over my hair (she wasn't even making sure they were even). But you know, I told myself to trust the process since not every hairstylist cuts the same. Before I realized it she was already done (she only took 30 minutes) and asking if I wanted product in my hair or not. I was completely SHOCKED that my hair looked nothing like I wanted it or even close to it! Even my hairstylist had to ask me several times if I liked it or not since she saw the way my face was. I payed and left, once I was in the car I started to cry to my mother since it looked nothing close to what I have told her (later I realized that she specialize in hair color & blonde hair). When I got home, I realized once I took a shower that half of my hair was longer that the other side (with products it looks like my hair is even which is not). She had completely fucked up my hair to the point that I couldn't even style it any way. I didn't even want to leave the house since I was so emotionally stress with the way my hair came out. I'm still utterly upset that my hair is so uneven that you can tell by looking at it. There's no way in hell would I come back to fix my hair here cause I don't want it to end up even more fucked up, I'm just waiting for it to grow back out which it gonna take forever. I seriously WOULD NOT recommend to come to get a hair cut here. read more

I have been having Melissa Griffeth doing my hair for nearly eight years now. She gives me the best hair cut that I have gotten in my life. I have had a cowlick on my head that has always stood up and looked ridiculous. She was able to cut my hair in such a way as to have the cowlick lay down and look like it was never there. I love getting my hair washed and my scalp massaged each time I get it cut. I highly recommend her if you want a great hair cut. P.S. My wife and daughter get their hair colored and cut by her and they love it also. read more

My mom actually found this place first. Rose did her hair and she absolutely loved it so of course I had to try it out. I had my hair done by Rose as well.Because I have extremely long, thick, dark curly hair I'm always very cautious on who does it but she did amazing! She was extremely helpful with finding me an ammonia free dye without pre-lightening and bleach due to being very Pregnant (the dye ended up smelling like raspberries).With my hair being very curly I've always have looked everywhere for great products and she pointed me in the right direction. I also got my hair straightened and it didn't take more than the amount of time she gave me. Not only do I LOVE my hair, but she is awesome to talk to and very attentive! If your time and money aren't important than this could be a fit. My 1st experience was frustrating but I let it slide. My stylist ran 20 minutes late while I watched her chat with a friend at the front entrance where I was seated. The front desk person didn't say anything just occupied her time chatting with other employees and cell phone time.. My 2nd visit the same stylist was running late (shocker) the front desk person said it would be a few minutes. A few minutes turned into 30 minutes and no communication from the stylist or front desk. It was as if I wasn't even there.. Zero communication efforts were made by the stylist, if she valued clients and their time she would apologized and ask you if you were ok on waiting.I went a head an reschedule with the front desk due to the late hour I would have be done at that point. Not to mention I left work 2 hours early to make the apt work. It's expected and require for clients to be on time otherwise you will be charged a fee..It should go both ways. read more
