Customer service was not good. Booked an appointment 3 days in advance for an eyebrow wax, show up on time (like 5 min early) and the woman proceeds to ask me multiple times why I don't want to do threading. I explain I do not like threading (had a bad experience before). She then tells me the woman who does waxing was not there- waited another 10 min, the woman showed up and continued the line of questioning about why I didn't thread. I'm cut up on my eyebrows because the woman was rushing....if you like waxing over threading and don't want to be berated with multiple questions then don't go here. read more

Individually... my brows look really good. They're nice and clean but together.... I'm not sure what happened. My brows aren't even on the same level. One brow is thinner and higher, and the other brow is thicker and lower. A hidden little gem off of Main St! I've gotten my eyebrows threaded here twice after going to Boston Threading Place for several years. They've done an excellent job both times (clean, fast, without overdoing it). I got my underarms waxed here once as well and it also went super quickly and smoothly! Similar to Sar's review below, the young girl was moving extremely fast while threading. I asked her to slow down and she didn't. She caused me to bleed in 4 different areas, while skipping over areas to thread. When I confronted her about the cuts, she looked at me with a blank stare - she didn't even apologize. This girl should not being threading as a side job or a profession. In fact, she didn't even seem happy to be threading, she seemed pretty annoyed. Would not recommend anyone to go here. There are better studios in Watertown and Newton. read more

Sara (owner) is very knowledgeable about leg waxing techniques and best practices; she gives good advice about after care and maintenance. Just tried this salon for the first time, and I am impressed! Sara is personable and professional, and took her time to do a thorough job with my eyebrows. I have pretty sparse brows to begin with, so I am always on the lookout for someone who can shape them without removing too much hair. Sara nailed it -- my eyebrows look perfect! The price ($10) is also reasonable considering brows need to be regularly maintained, especially compared to salons in the area. I didn't even know the salon existed (I just happened to be across the street at the UPS store) but now I won't go anywhere else. :) read more

Found her at Boston threading and literally had to follow her to Beauty base because she is so darn good. No one does my eyebrows as good as her. Quick, careful service is the norm here. I've been twice for facial hair removal, and not leaving the studio with that telltale, beet-red glowing face is priceless. I'm generally in and out in under 10 minutes, and always feel like I've received my money's worth. I do think that next time I go I'll bring a couple of cotton balls soaked in Witch Hazel to swab my face down with before and afterwards, but you're always offered the option of a soothing aloe gel post-threading. I decided to give this salon a shot the other day; like most of us, I'm pretty anxious when it comes to threading/waxing but the accessibility of this salon (compared to my go-to in Boston) was tempting...and my brows really needed it. Rita was my technician and though her demeanor isn't very warm, she did a good job (and didn't botch my brows). I stressed how I wanted to maintain the thickness of my brows and she honored this request. I wanted more of an arch (I showed her a photo) but I realize that this preference was compromised when I didn't want my brows to lose their thickness.
