Then she just stood there for me to make the next move. Like I was the employee and she was the customer. An auburn color bob cut wig caught my eye. I said "let me try that one". She handed it to me and still stood there. She helped me put it on and we both didn't like that color on me. It didn't compliment my skin tone, nor the shape of my face. Then there was another wig that she let me try on, and we still didn't like that one either. She mentioned that I can only try 2 wigs. Long story short, she went to help another customer and here comes this wonderful, upbeat, happy, remarkable, helpful, kind hearted, nice lady/employee by the name of Janella. She was very wise, keen, and knowledgeable. She let me try few other wigs and we both came to a common liking/decision. She was not pushy, nor was she forceful to sell me my 2 wigs that I purchased. I was hoping that the wigs would come with a brush, but apparently everything is sold separately. The store is a bit narrow, yet easy to navigate the aisles. They have many different kinds, styles, colors of wigs, weaves, cosmetics, hair accessories, eye lashes, skin care, extensions, hair dye, jewelry, gels, creams for your skin and a lot more stuff.. It started as a little shop on Victory, and over the decades it's become part of my life in a way most stores never do. Years later, when I became a professional makeup artist, this is where I bought my very first kit, a huge haul of products to start my career. That was a full-circle moment for me. I buy almost everything cosmetics-related here, and the fact that it's stayed consistent and reliable through all these years says everything. Appointment was at 2pm but asked to come in at 1:30pm, they didn't leave until after 7pm. The braids look nice but the experience isn't worth the price. My niece had an appointment and other people were seen during that time. It's really frustrating and not professional to have an appointment and paying so much money for kids braids but having to wait so long because over bookings just to make more money. If you have the time and don't care about waiting and your stylist doing multiple heads at once this is your place. They do nice work and charge $$$. Just not worth paying that for that type of customer service.
