That being said, she is downright rude and will complain about the price of the Groupon, openly discuss politics and tote religion. It's pretty damn annoying and not super relaxing. When I texted them back, they proceeded to ignore my questions and did not text me back. It wasn't until two days later when I asked for a refund that I heard back. This place is crazy. I don't even know where to start. We went there for an agreed price via text. Sounded like a great deal, so we booked our couples massage. The massage itself was terrible. I got a much older Korean woman (she told me she was) and she talked the whole time. That's just the beginning. She: -Massaged me with knuckles. I even had to tell her to stop because it was hurting me, but she kept on doing it. -Massaged my spine and scapula bones. -She insisted Koreans are perfectionists, that's why they're the best race. -She asked me who I was going to vote for. I told her I didn't want to talk and I preferred to relax, she went on and on why she's a Trump supporter. She even went on to say Michelle Obama is a man. -Started preaching Christianity at me. Just when I thought it couldnt get worse, when it was time to pay, she said there was no way we got a deal like what we were quoted. I showed her the text thread and she went from 0 to 100 in half a second. She started yelling at me and refused to cash me out. And when I mean yell, I mean yell very, very loudly. She became so mad and unhinged, she even asked me what ethnicity I was, which was totally irrelevant and just straight racist. I told her I wasnt trying to be rude and I didn't want to argue, but that is the deal the person gave me. I even told her multiple times she can call the police to settle it if she wanted to. She kept telling me that the person responding to me on text is Korean and didnt speak English too well. She continued to yell so loud, another employee from the back (who seemed like she was in the middle of a treatment) came out to see what was going on. I showed her the text thread and she seemed to sympathized with me. There were words exchanged in Korean between her and the old lady, and the next thing I knew they started to yell at each other and the employee walked away and slammed the door behind her. Sitting there in disbelief not really sure what just happened, the old lady then jumped on the phone, thinking she was going to call the police, but then she started talking in Korean again. I waited for another 5 min, and finally went up to the counter and demanded she either needed to cash us out or call the police. She finally charged us for the agreed about. She was no doubt mad and complained and lectured me the whole time saying how wrong I was paying so low for this massage. She was basically angry at me for the other employee's mistake. Well, even if the old lady was terrible, I still tipped her (and the other masseuse) generously because it's still her livelihood. Next thing she tells me is there's a $5 credit card fee. So I had a Groupon to go here, and I got a deal with two massages. The second time I went, I called the day before and asked for a different masseuse since the experience with my first one was not favorable. They paired me with Kristy, a super sweet Korean lady. I did feel awkward though, because the lady at the front immediately recognized me, took me into the room, said something in Korean to Kristy, who nodded and then she turned back and looked at me and said, "ok you know what to do right? (To take my clothes off except undie)" It almost felt like she was telling Kristy to do a good job because I called for a different masseuse for this time. Whatever they were saying, it did make me feel a little uncomfortable. Like, will she have treated me this well without her saying whatever she was saying to her? Anyway, I want to highlight how amazing Kristy is as a massage therapist. She really made me feel relaxed, calm, and she really hit all the points on my body that were sore. She bent me in different ways and by the time we were done with the massage, she was out of breath from all of the stepping and bending she was doing on me. Honestly, it was a very great experience. I have literally never felt so calm and relaxed. If I were to go again, I would request her. I wish I could say the same for the first experience. I was paired with an older Korean woman, (I know her name but I'll just put her first initial) D. She was friendly, but honestly, from the get go I was super turned off. She is super religious, and would talk about God here and there. I'm not religious, at all, so talking about god is a huge turn off to me already. Anyway, she asked me FROM THE GET GO how much did I pay and why did I use a Groupon. Like??? She told me not to use the Groupon because they take money and it's better for the store to just book through them. Then she asked me a bunch of personal questions regarding pay. I told her I have a hobby and sell them and she was like, "people buy that?" Like yes...I just told you they did. She then proceeded to painfully massage me and talk her head off the entire hour I was there. The massage felt good but it was so PAINFUL, almost like a sports therapy massage - something you need but not meant to be relaxing. She kept saying, "it's blocked here that's why it hurts" and then continued to dig a rock into my calves. Like, I came there for a relaxing experience, not to be asked a bunch of questions and be in a painful massage for an hour. She then started getting religious on me (I should have known, since there were Jesus stuff all over the front of the shop), and she asked me if I believed in God. Like??????? I just laughed the entire time, especially dodging the god question and answering her other questions because what am I gonna say to an old lady and I'm only in my undies on a table?? When the hour was almost up, she realized she talked the entire time and didn't get to do other things she had planned to do. She totally rushed the last few min and I felt robbed of an experience. BTW, this place uses coconut oil for their massages, so if you're allergic, it's best to alert them of that. Would I go again? Probably not..but if I did, I would book it with Kristy. Couples massage from Groupon in Honolulu, Hawaii... My friend, Lisa, found it great deal on Groupon... We each got an hour massage for about $40 + tip. Not bad, huh? The main obstacle was scheduling. They didn't take Groupon customers on weekends - and the last appointment is at 6pm on weekdays. For working people, it's a bit of a challenge... Location is another thing... We actually ended up at the wrong building. I thought it was the one directly across from Ohana Hale Marketplace... No. It's the building with Supercuts on the ground level. There's a free parking lot. After you park, just find the stairs in the center courtyard, go up, turn right, and the front door is there. Whew! We were a few minutes late and they gave us the code for the restroom down the hall. We returned to the Couples Room, put our belongings in a box under the table, and laid face down without face mask. When you're face up, masks go back on. The back, neck, legs, arms, and shoulders massage was wonderful! Pressure was strong and not bruising! My therapist didn't speak English. I could feel her jump on the table and press on my back while she kneeled over me! She went outside, got a hot towel, and wiped me down before I turned over. She put my neck in a sling and stretched me out! My legs were contorted in two different positions which weren't too weird. I slept really well that night! We arrived on time for appointment after reconfirming it by phone. It's on the 2nd floor of a small Mini mall and and no elevator in case you're handicapped just to let you know ahead of time period but well worth the trip upstairs. Upon entering it was clean and comfortable and we were welcomed the minute we stepped inside. The owner was the one that greeted us she was very nice and professional and made sure that our rooms were ready when we got there.There were 2 of us so rooms were ready for us to just step into almost immediately when we got there. And the owner made us feel very comfortable. My masseuse's name is Naomi and she was very skilled at what she does. She's also very bright and charming and was able to communicate and translate my needs for the massage that I like to specifically suit my requirements. The room was very clean. She specializes in deep tissue which is something I'm not really a big fan of so she dialed it down and made it sweetie's firm massage for me and that's exactly what I like. We had the hour and a 1/2 massage and we came out and we were glowing at the end of it. I always know when the endorphins are running like maniacs in my body because my sinuses will shut down during the massage and I feel kind of dreamy. After the massage we went out and and waited for everything to be checked out and again the owner was very gracious to us.. She even gave us a local Snack called manapua ... good luck with that auto-correct. LOL. I will be definitely returning here with my wife because she does like deep tissue and these people treated us like valued customers. She is frustrated now and tells me "If you did not pay enough for the Groupon we don't do massage, Groupon lists it for so cheap" First of all, YOUR BUSINESS LISTS THE GROUPON PRICE! If it's too cheap then don't list it for cheap. It is located upstairs and they have free parking. Setting up appointment: I tried calling to schedule my appointment but no one answered 2x and the mailbox is full. (The lady running the business is like my mom she just hasn't figured out how to delete old messages) I realized it's a cell phone so I was able to schedule my appointments 1 week in advance through text messages. She replies by the next day (sometimes within the hr) since the owner is usually busy. Groupon Note: There is a $5 tax fee they need to charge when going through Groupon. This applies to all Groupon purchases so don't be upset like the other person with 1* reviews. Plus tips for your masseuse of course! If you see a deal and you're around go directly to them and ask for the same deal without going through Groupon. You can avoid the tax fee. So text them to confirm. I didn't know and had purchased both my visits through Groupon. Selecting your Masseuse: Naomi: For deep tissue and hard pressure pick her. You just got to tell her you want it harder. She uses both elbows and hands then switches over to using the bars above to apply foot massage techniques. It was great! Debbie: For fixing issues with precision pick her. Do not expect Debbi to do hard elbow or stand on your back type of work. She fixes your problems with finger pressure and may make you cry. Unfortunately it wasn't hard enough for me in most places she worked on. But without mentioning it, she did find a problem I had on my leg. She knows what's she doing and she knows how to fix the issues. I'm just abnormally difficult to work on. My experience: For my first appointment my wife and I arrived 45min early to an empty reception desk. After a moment Naomi came out and told me she can start early so we did. 2nd appointment I asked for separate rooms since I took my daughter but she said they can't but have curtains to separate the rooms. So we did. I can confirm 2 of the rooms have 2 beds (for couples massage) and at least 1 private room(not sure if more). If going solo, make sure to confirm if you will get a private room or have to share with stranger. read more

We get there and were not greeted by anyone until Debby and a man who worked there popped out of nowhere and took us to the room. The massage was good but painful definitely a 7/10 on the pain level due to the knots in my back, the man working on me was friendly i have nothing but good to say about him. She started taunting me and saying i was jealous because my gf can still choose to be with men and that she should leave me to do the "right thing". Unprofessional! I purchased a Groupon for this establishment and called in on a Tuesday morning to set an appointment for the following Monday evening. Everything was set with an older woman with an accent over the phone. When I showed up Monday evening for my scheduled appointment, they didn't have me in the books. That I liked, I also really liked how we got to be in the same room together, I know that's what a couple massage is suppose to be, you would be surprised. The quality of the massage was pretty good. Very safe and we got our temperatures taken at the very begining! We had a couples massage. We had to have it moved because of covid. Last minute I had gotten scheduled to work and she really helped me and just moved it back an hour. She did it all via text! So easy! I've never given a review on a massage before, but I needed to for BeautyMed. To be honest, this looks like a hole-in-the-wall, mom-n-pop business. So worth it though. I got the religious vibes telling me that they're Christian and will not be performing any "nasty things" so don't be expecting anymore than a massage! The parking was free and was not hard to find. There are two parking lots, and to be honest, I wasn't sure if I was parked in the right one, but I wasn't told I was in the wrong parking lot either. Keep in mind my massage was for 90 minutes. Worth every minute too. I feel bad I didn't catch the name of the woman who gave me a massage, but I wish I had so I could recommend her. She actually put hot stones on me (that was new) and poor girl massaged my feet (I don't take good care of those!). The place isn't exactly the fanciest, but it's small, cute and quiet...kinda like me. lol not. But the place is small and on the second floor in the same building as CVS. The masseuse were good but the owner will try to rip you off. We purchased the voucher total of $152 and we tipped $25 bucks which was more than enough. She charged an extra $10 bucks on top of $25 tip we gave saying since Groupon doesn't charge tax and therefore she has to collect tax in cash. We found that extremely shadey. Contacted Groupon customer service and their representative confirmed that she CAN NOT do that. Bought a Groupon deal, booked the massage. Clean room, nice comforting music playing. The aromatherapy was nice, but the massage was just ok. No real pressure, just lots of rubbing the oil around. At the end I was told to pay $5 for tax, okay, no problem, but would have been nice to know ahead of time, since I hardly ever carry cash. The lady at the front couldn't find change for a $20 bill and had to go around asking others. I told her to just keep the rest and give it to Yong, my massage therapist, as a tip, in addition to what I already left for her in the room. I had a groupon voucher and they made it super convenient to use the voucher without intense pressure to buy more. They did give a clear sense of other services they offer, including a frequent user discount system. I received a massage from Young, who was really excellent. The massage also came with aromatherapy and hot stone - would really recommend these. It was easy to make an appointment by phone and I was able to come in on a day and time that was convenient to me. In terms of getting to the location, there's a wing of the building in front of the wing you need to go to. The entryway is through the side parking lot, and turn left, then you go up the stairs to the right. I came here for a couples massage for my honeymoon which felt super meh with no actual muscle relieving results post massage. The massage felt just like rubbing with no actual pressure points being pressed into. Plus the masseuse over heated the rocks (they were so hot that she couldn't even hold them in her hands!) which felt super unprofessional. So glad my husband bought a groupon cus definitely one of the worst massage places I've been to and I would never ever pay full price. Another review also mentioned paying additional tax with a groupon, which we also had to do and didn't make any sense whatsoever. We used a groupon at another massage place earlier during our trip and we didn't have to pay any additional charges AND we actually felt less tense after our massage. Absolutely shady "spa". I show up for my appointment to find no one in the reception area. Wait for five minutes past my appointment and someone wanders out. Jumi, the business owner, tells me that I would need to share a small room with a stranger. It would seem they've missed all the COVID news. After much negotiation , I'm told I can have a private room if I wait 30 minutes past my appointment. Not sure why this wasn't shared at the time of booking the appointment. Not intending to sound like a Karen here - but this was the classic bait/switch from low end businesses that I'm sure everyone reading this is keen to. Further, Jumi was less-than-honest in our negotiations. Through our discussion she changed her story back on itself from "we don't have private rooms" to "we overbooked ourselves and if you wait you can have a private room".
