We kept in contact over the next several days until I was certain my wife & I could come to the dealership on 01/13. Nothing but problem after problem since my son purchased his very first car from this dealership. He put down $8,000 of his hard-earned money, and it's been nothing but a headache ever since. Do not believe them when they say they perform a "100+ point inspection," because they must be doing it with their eyes closed. They missed several major issues right from the start -- including a hole in the bottom center of the front windshield. Then we found out the battery is too small for the car, there have been ongoing spark issues, and now -- multiple times -- we're being told the transmission needs to be replaced. On top of that, the car was advertised as "certified," but it is not GM certified -- and that's a big difference. At this point, I honestly don't even trust them to replace the transmission properly given everything else that's been overlooked or mishandled. What this dealership should be doing is making this right by buying the vehicle back, allowing my son to pay off his loan, and returning his initial down payment so he can purchase a reliable car from a reputable place. read more

Bought my '24 Chevy Trax here almost 3 years ago to the day but anyhow, I have been here for routine maintenance a few times and I've always had a great experience. A few days ago my Trax had a check engine light come on. Had the code read and so on. Took it service so it could be checked out and turbo was found to have a bad wastegate and the entire unit would have to be replaced. Thankfully I had their extended warranty and I turned in all of the required paperwork and in about 20 minutes I had an answer for approval. I was shocked because had this been with my Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio it would've been 2 weeks of waiting. All required warranty work was completed in a day too. 2019 Chevy Volt. Had a CEL come on. Took it to Beaver 5/27-28/26. Had it for 3 weeks. Service Dept was MIA. Car sat in the lot for 3 weeks and got covered with pine needles and tree and insect poo. Hard to remove stains in the paint. Really! Less than one week in they said they needed to order a part 5/29. They didn't order the part until two days before me picking it up 6/18. Multiple calls were a dead end. Charged almost 3x the cost of the part online from GM! Replaced 3 valve stems that had died. Charged $84.79 each. Total, $254.37. Could have bought all FOUR, OEM GM bagged for $43.20. I know they are in business to make a profit but that is theft. Oh, labor was on top of that. I was not WOW'ed. read more

MJ my product specialist highly recommended for his professional quick no pressure attitude. His managers equally impressed with their service and knowledge levels.(this was my review after the week I waited for them to fix the truck I bought and broke 5 minutes after I drove off the lot) Now the rest of the story!! This truck broke down 5minutes after I purchased and I returned the next morning. Yes, I expresssd that I would be better just to return the truck and get my trade in back, but i was persuaded that they would fix the speedometer immediately and deliver the new vehicle when it was done, 7 days later. And they did. My apprehension was appeased. The 175 point inspection with a Carfax that stated they changed the rotor and brakes in the rear made me feel confident. This was the right choice, even though the truck broke as soon as I drove it off a lot. Since then, I have driven the truck 2000 miles; 3 weeks of 45 days bake in the shop. 1650 miles of them came on the trip home to Pittsburgh. The truck has broken down more than five times. There were recalls that were not fixed at the time of delivery. Repairs had to be done to the powertrain, brake rotor, license plate lights, 7way trailer plug, tie rods, hubs and bearings. And the most expensive repair: broken headlamps, one was LED and the other halogen, which look like something you would see on a wrecked vehicle that wasn't fixed right. All should've been caught at time of the 175 point inspection. This truck failed the Pennsylvania state inspection. Money pit of all money pits. I decided to call the dealership this week to see what could be done. The sales manager said absolutely they believe in customer service first. The same manager tried to find me a truck for a changeover. Attempted to sell me a new F250 instead of a 350 gas instead of diesel without a fifth wheel Hitch attachment, not even close. I asked if I could get my old truck back which is still on the lot for sale. He gave me a price that I would have to pay over 10,000 to buy back my old truck. Stated that they put $3500 in mine, which is all fluff. I gave up. This is the biggest chocolate bunny dealership, all shell and no solid chocolate. They want to make a profit, and should but not at somebody's expense. Don't let them fool you. I had to find out about the work they should have repaired by failing an inspection to register my "new" vehicle. Lots of smiles but no substance at this dealership. We purchased a 2016 minivan with a trade in, having negative equity. We paid cash for the transaction. As part of the transaction, I removed insurance from my trade-in, obtained new insurance on the van, and canceled the extended warranty on my previous vehicle -- all actions taken in good faith based on a completed sale. The same day we brought the van home, I noticed a transmission issue. I returned the vehicle the very next day. After assessing it, Beaver informed us they would not be repairing the vehicle and instead planned to send it to auction. We were not given the option for them to fix the van we had just purchased. The only option presented was to completely unwind the transaction -- return our trade-in and refund our money. While I made it clear I was unhappy with that outcome, it was the only solution they offered. What makes this worse is that after negating our transaction, they repaired the van and relisted it for sale at a higher price. So to be clear: they wouldn't fix it for the customer who had just purchased it, but they fixed it to resell for more money. That speaks volumes about their priorities. This process created unnecessary stress, additional administrative burden (insurance changes, warranty cancellation), and zero effort was made to advocate for us as customers. Once the problem arose, it became about minimizing inconvenience for the dealership -- not standing behind the vehicle or supporting the buyer. If customer experience and integrity matter to you, I would strongly encourage you to think carefully before purchasing. Ironically I am still the registered owner of the vehicle and never signed anything with Beaver, cancelling the contract. read more

I recently bought a new Suburban from Beaver Chevrolet and discovered that a "Peace of Mind Package" for $1,995 was added to my contract. At first they tried to inflate the overall purchase price of the vehicle until I asked them to itemize it. When asked what that was, I was told by the salesman and the finance manager both, on separate occasions, it was for a powertrain warranty. It was presented to me as a Fidelity Warranty Services Lifetime Powertrain Warranty, but after calling Fidelity directly, I learned that warranty is provided for free with the vehicle and is not a paid product. When I confronted the dealership, they admitted in writing that the charge was actually for dealer add-ons like nitrogen tires, tint, and paint protection. None of which were properly explained to me or authorized by me before signing. The way this was handled felt deceptive and designed to ultimately make the dealership more money. I'm sharing this so others know to review every line item carefully with this particular dealership and confirm any "protection packages" or "Peace of Mind" add-ons before signing. These are not mandatory packages and can be declined. However, because they were deceptive, I didn't get that chance. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience. read more

First five maintenances were included, as well as a 20 year / 200,000 mile powertrain add-on warranty free of charge. No hassle from the finance guy when I didn't take the extended warranty. She was extremely helpful. I purchase a new truck 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 with V8 from Beaver Chevrolet and my sales guy was wonderful from start to finish. One the the deciding purchase factors was the best warranty and service department in town my sale sold me on. Since I've had my truck which was purchased in November of 2024 I've had two oil changes and paid for balance and rotation of tires. Since my last service my truck has had loud noise coming from from transmission (Power train). It's really loud around 48 to 55 M.P.H. I called and explained what the problem was with the loud noise and set up an appointment and scheduled a week before last Friday and the day before coming in I got an call from service department questioning me on what was wrong and basically they told me they didnt have a loaner car and I would have to schedule and wait additional 7 weeks or so before they could schedule service my truck, I then told her I wanted to talk with who was in charge of service department and she transfered me and I got the voice mail to service manager and left message saying what was wrong with my truck. Meanwhile as I was leaving an message I received an email stating my appointment was canceled which irritated me being that I move my schedule around for this appointment. I never received a call back and left two more messages without a call back, so I call again and ask for service manager and they gave me somebody else a nd told him what was wrong and had to explain the whole thing over again and he told me he would get with the service manager and he would get to the bottom of it and call me back the same day and it would be worked out so I said thank you and was really tired of explaining my new truck problems. Once again never got call back, so I called again and left message and finally got a call back from the people who schedule and they were like nothing ever happen and wanting me schedule 8 weeks out due to no car loaners. I explained to her respectfully that this is my only so of transportation and that this was not going to work and ask her if I could bring it to any Chevrolet Dealer and she told me that she would get to the powers to be and she would call me back the same day. Once again I haven't recieved a call back. Now I find this ridiculous that I can not get my truck serviced for this power train default, especially since I paid in full when I purchased vehicle. read more

I bought my 2019 Chevrolet Colorado here because they had the one that most closely matched what I wanted. I love the truck. But Beaver Chevrolet, not so much. The buying process was the classic, stereotypical experience. Nothing about it "wow'd" me. Nothing. They still employ negotiation tactics complete with the old "let me check with my manager". In the end, they did help me realize that my best option was an employee price thru my retired brother-in-law. They get a star for helping me with that. When we haggled it was classic stuff. Negotiating the trade was also stressful. They were probably in line for 3 stars, but then came the service. If you have hours to waste to get a free oil change, this is your place. With the purchase they offered 5 free oil changes (known as Beaver Care). I've been here for three of them. Each time it was at least an hour. The last time I was here it was around 2 hours for an oil change, rotation and balance. Today's experience has been worse (and I'm still waiting). They employ a hand-off strategy where the guy who greets you hands you off to an advisor. Why, I don't know. Upsell maybe? Anyway, my advisor wasn't available when I showed up (15 minutes early). I was told, "Have a seat in the lounge and he'll be right with you". So, I sit, waiting for 45 minutes (30 minutes past my appointment time). Finally I'm out of Wordle games to play and I decide to find out why I'm still looking at my truck sitting where I parked it when I got here. No one is quite sure what happened but they'll get right on it. I'm not sure why I should believe this... we'll see. In the end, I'm done here. I'll be back at the Jiffy Lube place 10 minutes from my house. And maybe this old guy will finally trust Carvana or one of the other online vehicle purchase options. What kind of place is this??? I used to take my car to Coggin Chevy of the Avenues, but after watching how they treated my boyfriend when he was having an issue with his car, I decided to try them out when it was time to get my car serviced. I made an appointment through the My Chevrolet app however I couldn't notate that I would be waiting for my car. If I wanted to do that I would have to call and I wasn't calling. I went to the appointment and met Otis, one of the service manager. He took care of me and listened to everything I wanted done to my car and joked with me. He led me to the waiting area and I was not prepared to be "WOW"ed as they say in their slogan. The waiting area had phone charging stations, tablets, wifi, bottled water, fresh popped popcorn, and coffee. I grabbed some coffee and popcorn as I kept my phone charged watching a movie. About 2 hours or so later, a Jimmy Johns delivery person came through to drop off half-subs and chips for customers waiting. I can't tell you how fast people were picking up those items, heck I grabbed a half-sub too. On my way to the restroom around the corner, I saw a jelly bean table and quickly picked up some Champagne and Beer Jelly Bellys. They're pretty good. Not too much longer after that, my car was ready and washed. I paid, thanked Otis for everything and told him that I'd be back as service here had surpassed the last place. Well, I found out later that day the techs didn't reset my oil life indicator which is a no-no for me. My boyfriend explained that it's real easy to do and we looked it up a Youtube video on it. I was able to do it myself, but little things like that make me wonder what else was missed. So far, I haven't had any problems so I'll just cut them a little bit of slack. After hearing all the stories from my SO on his experience here, I wish I could give negative stars. He purchased a 2022 truck from this location with 20,000 miles on it. The truck has a lift kit that the dealership installed. Annoying surprise #1 - Because of this lift, none of the other dealerships will do warranty work on it. From almost the beginning, there have been 2 issues - a loud clunking when turning left and a warning message that goes on every time you go over a bump. The first time it went to get looked at, they kept the truck 2 weeks. Annoying surprise #2 - apparently, at this dealership, it requires 3 full days to run diagnostics before they can start any work. After keeping the vehicle with very little communication received, the truck was returned. The clunking sound was reduced (not resolved), and we quickly found that the warning message was also still a problem. After a few weeks (gotta have a car sometimes), got the truck back to the dealership to get the issue looked at again. 3 days for diagnostics again. By week 2, no info was received, and started leaving messages asking for an update. At the end of week 2, after asking to speak to the manager in hopes of getting some information, finally got a call back from the original person and *what a shock* the vehicle was ready to pick up. Just barely out of the lot - you guessed it! - the warning light came back on. After 4 weeks in their service department. My 22 year old son, annoyed with the situation, Googled the issue. Turns out it is a common issue. The 2 of them were able to resolve it within an hour. Google is your friend. This dealership is not. read more

These crooks are advertising a 2023 Suburban LS in white color on cars.com at $58,060.00, however when I called them, their extremley rude salesman told me that the actual price is $68K as listed on their website. I advised him that his dealership had placed an incorrect price on cars.com to generate phone calls. He advised me that was not his problem and hung up on me. Now that they know the price on cars.com is FAKE, let's see if they correct this mistake which I am sure was NOT a mistake on their part since they know that most people will not even call them if they displayed the actual price. So our initial experience with Beaver Chevrolet was trading in a business van and getting the second one repaired. Their was some confusion and the ball got dropped when it came to getting our repair evaluated, that took a second visit and finally they were able to make up for lost time by repairing the engine. Though we got one van done the expenses for that were suppose to be covered by our sell of the other van, I was disappointment when the sales reps told my lady two different qoutes on our sell of the van and didn't give her a timeline on when we should expect the title to be cleared and get paid. Luckily I talked to one of the managers Dustin Hughes who went above and beyond to get our check for the correct amount and see that we were taking care of. My favorite part of this experience on a positive note was when I came to the dealership ever single employee stopped what they were doing and always asked to make sure I was taken care of. Lots of respect and making sure I was attended to. Makes me consider this dealership worth while to buy a car in the future. Side note, phones are always picked up and if you can't reach certain individual you were always directed to someone available. Facility was clean and very convenient to access. Customer service isn't always perfect but it's what you do to rectify the situation is what matters, and Beaver stepped up! read more

Took my truck here for a throttle issue... have had to take it back 4 times for the same issue. That's not even the worst part. Every time I take it in they don't even look at it for 4 weeks! Also, don't expect any calls from them. You will have to call them to get anywhere and they are never in and still won't call you back. I wouldn't keep taking it back except for the fact there is a warranty. This has been a complete nightmare. ^^ I original gave 1 star but I'm giving them more now bc after I spoke with Dave and Andre the job was taken care of faster. I ended up buying a vehicle... What had happened was: I was curious about how much I could get for trading in Tangerine (my orange car). They had a little form to fill out on the website where they'd tell you how much they'd give you for your car. I filled out the little form and got my answer - which wasn't a lot, but it was fine compared to Kelly - and went on about my day. Within 24 hours, I received quite a few text messages, emails, and phone calls/voice messages about my interest in buying a vehicle. I was looking into buying a 2021-2023 Chevy traverse LT leather for specific reasons, but I had put any old car on the form. So they were calling me about that car. So I didn't really pay much attention. But I ended up reaching back out to Cody, who took good care of me. He found me a vehicle that turned out to be a good match for me, even though it wasn't what I was originally looking for. The only weird thing was that during the paper signing process, he kept walking off to do related things. But every time he'd walk off, he'd shake my husband's and my hand lol. One of those times felt like an actual "goodbye until tomorrow when we pick up the vehicle." So, we left. He had to call us to come back, lol. But it worked out. He and his team were good. He thought money was the issue so he kept showing me vehicles that I would've never liked. Not to be dramatic but I wouldn't wish purchasing experience at beaver Chevrolet on my worst enemy. I've purchased 3 vehicles with this dealership and I've had problems around the one year mark on two of them, and the third had problems the second we drove it off the lot. Once, fine. Two? Coincidence? But THREE? Come on. I was given the run around on my car for a week. Transferred to every different department and manager and not one was helpful. I purchased my car certified pre owned, but still given a $1,500 bill for replacing my AC compressor 2 months after the 1 year warranty expired. I was chased down by 3 different sales guys (one of which was stoned out of his mind) to try and get me to sell my car back to them (for 7k less than what I owe on it) and inevitably sell me another POS-, but absolutely no help in the service department whatsoever. I sat in the waiting area for 5 hours waiting for them to diagnose the issue with my car. I asked to speak to the service manager, Chris 4 times and each time he was "busy." Honestly, save your money and buy a car from a sketchy neighbor or somebody you don't know from social media- you'd probably have better luck than shopping with this organization. If you like shopping for junk and spending all of your money on cars you'll have to fix just outside of the warrantee period, SHOP AT BEAVER! Freaking joke. read more

Beaver is by far the worst dealership when it comes to the service department. This is the second Chevrolet I have owned and I vow to never buy another one of their cars again. They have given me the run around to fixing an ongoing issue that clearly involves my transmission for the last year. I brought the vehicle in 3 times since November 2022 regarding the same issue. I bought the car brand new off the lot and to date I have only about 40k miles and have had 2 major issues with the vehicle since then. It's clear that they are waiting on the power train warranty to expire in hopes of mysteriously finding the issue after 60k miles so that the warranty is no longer valid. I highly encourage you to shop elsewhere or get something other than a Chevrolet. read more

i purchased a 2019 Chevy malibu as a trade in back in July of 2023. I was told that the car came with a warranty, gap insurance, and that marianne was included. I was aware i had about 1,000 of negative equity and that's it. I was never advised that those items were option nor did the purchase price match the amount i was told. Josh sold me the car and also didn't mention anything as well. He told me it was "birthday deal". A few days after i was finnally able to login to my credit union and my loan was nearly $30,000 when i was under the impression it was $25,000. I text Josh regarding the conflicting info and I was told it the extra about was the negative equity. Mind you it was only $1,000-ish that was carried over. Fast forward to yesterday, MJ advised me I couldn't trade in my 6 month old car because i had $12K of negative equity. He proceeds to tell me that car depreciates that fast and etc. He proceed to tell me the purchase price was $18K and that the rest of the almost $30k loan was warranties that i wasn't aware I was signed up for. MJ went from telling me there was no way to trade the car in - to his manager said to come in and I could get a 2024 with $0 down. I let him know i wasn't interested as the service here wasn't good from the beginning and that I wanted to cancel the warranties as I was told all of this was included not optional. Today, I spoke to Benjamin the finance manager and both Mike's. The taller/slim Mike asked me what i wanted him to do and said because i had the car for 6 months that they could only prorate the amount of the warranties which i was advised was included.I am PISSED bc i was misled into purchase an $18K vehicle with a $10K warranty. I hate that i had to sit in my car to right this LONG review because no one wants to be responsible for this. Be CAREFUL purchasing a vehicle from here as they probably do the same thing to others. The managers nor the employees wanted to let me know when the owner would be available and blatantly disregard my concerns enough though I initially questioned the price that i bought it for as it wasn't what i was told. If i could go back to July, i would've spent my money and trade in elsewhere as this is the worst service I have ever received. I had to file a formal complaint before the manager Mike would even take my call. To top everything else off I told MJ the only reason I was coming in (even though i told him i didn't want to) then proceeds to still try to get me to trade in the car because now I magically qualify even though he just told me the day before I had too much negative equity. I wasted an hour of my life coming here to be try to be talked into trading the car in to Mike telling me oh well pretty much. I have never received service like this from any dealership. No one in the whole dearship tried to see my point of view and I felt belittled as I didn't have anyone to go with me back then or now and I don't know much about cars but I do know when the math isn't mathing. I just want all the extra stuff I was mislead into purchasing refunded to me not a portion of it. Thank you to beaver Chevrolet for me feel less than. I hope this place gets shut down for the shady things taking place. On a positive note the receptionist at the front with the braided hair was very kind. I was given a wow experience beyond belief and like never before. Negotiated an out-the-door price in writing with a salesman yesterday. He initially said that offer was for that day (yesterday) only. I asked him if I could come in tomorrow (i.e. today) at 11:30 a.m. and he wrote back, "Absolutely". I arrived at 11:27 a.m., test drove the car and was ready to pay for it and he raised the price $10,000.00. The manager asked what was wrong. I explained. He reviewed what corresponded in writing and said I was right, his employee was wrong, his employee would be coached, however he could not honor the price given. I am surprised this happened at any dealership never mind Chevy. Would have been understandable at "Big Al's Used Cars"! read more

Very disappointed with many things. Don't let the advertisement of a WOW experience lure you in! The vehicle purchase was good. Top leadership (Brett) really cares and when you have their attention things go well. I can't comment on service but they seem overwhelmed. Chris Weber is excellent when you have his attention. I don't know the parts manager but my call today was to parts. Mind you, I live 17 miles from this dealership and purchased the vehicle mostly because of Greg, the salesperson. Great guy! Last week I visited the dealership to check on a part that had been on order and while there I purchased a tube of touchup paint. There were two folks that I worked with that were very kind, Zach and another young man. After trying the touch up paint at home two days later, I realized that something in the color was wrong. I called the dealership parts department (direct line) and after a two-minute wait, I was quickly told to hold, and call me stupid but I listened to that stupid music for over 20 minutes. I then decided to keep that call on hold and call on my business line. After again a long wait, the same parts person from the previous call answers and again quickly says please hold. So, now I have two calls into parts. He either made a conscience decision or mistakenly just put the phone down on the counter. After a couple more minutes he picked up, not the call that had been on hold for 21 minutes plus, but the one he laid the phone down. You can imagine how I felt at this point! Rude comments, that will dive normal people to say what they would not otherwise say. He had an attitude out the gate. I told him that I was on hold for over 20 minutes and he said "no you have not, and all calls are recorded". I explained why I was calling and he said wait....he came back and said "I don't have a vehicle with your phone number". He was in such a hurry he would not listen that I was on my company phone because no one would answer my call still on hold that would have referenced my vehicle. I was mad......he covered the phone several times not realizing he was heard saying he saying this he's saying that. The lack of professionalism blows me away. Robbie, thanks for closing my door to Beaver Chevrolet. There are many other GM locations a lot closer than 17 miles. And, if all the calls are recorded...please listen to my two calls. read more

I bought a Toyota Camry from Beaver Toyota in St Augustine. I got free oil changes with my purchase but since I live in Jacksonville, I was able to take her to Beaver Chevrolet. I had a little problem making an appointment online but when I called was easily able to schedule for the same day. When I got there, I was quickly taken care of by Otis in the service department instead of the person I was assigned to - he was MIA. Otis answered all of my questions and gave me some suggestions. I never thought I'd write a 5 star review for a car dealership, but we truly had a great experience here! We were initially talking with Terry Shelton through calls and text. He was very positive, helpful, and never pressured us. Once arriving at the dealership, Terry was busy with another customer, so he introduced us to Neil Schmidt. Neil was very personable and easy to talk to and work with. The experience was easy and pleasant. The entire process from arriving at the dealership, test driving, negotiations, finance department to detailing only took about 2 1/2 hours, which is unheard of! We also weren't sitting at Neil's desk for 20 minutes at a time being "work down" when he went to talk to the manager during negotiations. He was only gone about 5 - 10 minutes, which is great compared to other dealerships I've dealt with in the area. During these times, Terry also checked in with us and he was also great to deal with. The finance department was shockingly quick also. Everything is electronic and you walk out with a flash drive with all your paperwork instead of the classic stack of a million papers. They also pointed out that you can always get copies of the paperwork from them, if needed. If you are looking to buy a vehicle, do yourself a favor and go to Beaver Chevrolet. I also highly advise you to specifically ask for either Neil or Terry. Both are easy to work with and great to talk to while waiting (which won't be as long as at other dealerships!). read more
