This restaurant has a great location! Beautiful view. Right where the lift is. Plenty of space for seating so you don't feel like you are on top of everyone. I ordered the French dip, and it was yummy. I liked how the chef butter the bread, giving it a nice crisp. The cheese and shaved ribeye all went well together with the caramelized onions. The French onion soup was excellent! There was no cornstarch, and it was soupy. I would come back just for this dish! Salmon was a frozen product and dry, but the salad saved it. The service was not good. Our server was not attentive. I had to ask for everything from straws to napkins. I wanted to order a glass of wine, but the time he came to check on me, I was almost done with my meal. When the food came out, he did not come by. We were able to find a table for apres-ski. The view from the patio is amazing at the Beaver Creek Chophouse. You do need to be seated by a hostess. There appeared to be a separate patio section for those dining or those grabbing drinks and appetizers . Our sever, Kunal was attentive and friendly. We ordered drinks and the nachos. Half chicken and half beef. They were very tasty. Real cheese instead of the nacho cheese many places use. Sour cream, guacamole, tomatoes. We visited here during a recent visit to Beaver Creek. I ordered the chicken as pictured, my kid and husband ordered a burger. My food was delicious, the mashed potatoes were a pillowy mountain and I could have eaten that again and again. The chicken was crispy and delicious. The gravy boat was small but just enough to enhance the taste. My husbands burger was cooked as expected and delicious. My kid is celiac so must be gluten free. We asked for mashed potatoes instead of fries or something else GF and they wouldn't substitute. Instead they charged us extra for the GF bun and no credit for the lack of side. For that experience we wouldn't recommend as we prefer restaurants that are flexible for people that don't have any other choice but to eat gluten free. If you don't have food allergy requirements this is a good stop. If you do I would skip. read more

We continue to love this place every time we go! We have been there twice in the last two weeks and as always, they did not disappoint. The first was just a Sunday evening watching two great musicians perform. I had no idea that they make fantastic nachos! I wouldn't have guessed that such a nice steakhouse would even serve those. We came here with a larger group and one of the things I do want to give kudos for is the fast and extremely attentive service. For every request or substitution they were accommodating and kept our table in mind. We sat outside and they provided nice shade and excellent views! Both my spouse and I got the filet and frites and while it was good, it wasn't anything at the level I expected. There wasn't a ton of flavor to the steak and my spouse's was also well over the medium cooking preference they requested. A very prominent restaurant that falls short and greatly disappoints. It's located in PRIME real estate- right at the bottom of the centennial lift as the base of Beaver Creek. They take reservations and have bar seating, high top window side seating or main dining room seating. The view is good in the winter and Mikey amazing in the summer. That's where the pro's end. We dined based on a tip for watching the Thursday fireworks. We reserved and asked for a table with a view of the fireworks. We were sat at a hightop in the bar but had a wall and not a window but we asked for another open table and the hostess quickly reseated us. We were greeted a bit delayed but still fine. Upon our waiters arrival I did ask to confirm that we could see the fireworks- he didn't know but said he would ask. When he returned we were told we could not which was incorrect (later we saw them fine amd they were actually very short in duration). We were offered bread but never any side plates nor silverware. I waited a while to find our waiter or anyone walking by and eventually got up and snagged some from a nearby table. FYI- The menu is all 30-50/entree. Several items were very high- $70.00 etc. and none of the steak, lamb and none of the entrees even included a side. I always evaluate the children's/young adult menu as our children usually dine with us and we do have high expectations. Sadly the young adult menu was disappointing and over priced . Par for the course. ‍ Chicken fingers. Grilled cheese. Mac and cheese....JUNK !!!.... a cheeseburger..... Our children opted for a steak and the pasta. The steak was about 4oz (we had no idea how small it was) and was offered with fries or carrot sticks! We asked for a different side and was offered a side salad or Caesar. We opted for the side salad. My other child had the pasta which was literally noodles and red sauce. ZERO protein. Again we swapped the junk side for a salad. I was not very hungry and opted to share some of my husbands burger (it was really yummy) and said we would be fine with an extra plate. The waiter insisted they could split it in the back. Our waiter then disappeared and we never saw him again. One of the kids wanted to order a drink but no one was around so again I had to get up and this time I went to the bar to order a drink. Finally someone came by and checked on us and took our plates. We received the check and were shocked to see that every...single... food price was higher than the menu. I called over the person who had last visited and inquired- 1- where was our waiter? Oh- he left. He didn't feel good and no one told us. 2-why we're all the prices different then advertised? Turns out those kids meals side salads were a hefty up charge each despite the fact that we ditched our other sides - we didn't add to them. We also were charged a hefty split charge again- never having been warned. I walked out fuming. I absolutely can't stand when there is no communication. If you are trying to be a five star, high-end restaurant, you should hold yourself to a higher standard. The BC chophouse fell grotesquely short, not only on the care and communication to the guests, but also in terms of the offerings and associated price. Places like this are what gives BC a bad name. So I had a less than stellar takeout experience here mid-Covid in 2021, but decided to come back for an in-person visit at the end of 2022 and was pleasantly surprised at how well it went. I'll start with the three standouts: 1) the filet, 2) the service from Ken, 3) the magic show from Dan. My wife is very picky about filet and béarnaise sauce, and she was extremely happy with the steak she received here. I tried a few bites and it was one of the most tender filets I've had; amazing. I had the wedge salad and it was also wonderful; it includes these little peppers the menu describes as "sweety drop peppers" which I've not encountered before, very unique flavor I enjoyed. My bison burger was cooked perfectly to the temp I ordered, medium rare, so plenty of pink in the middle but still warm. That burger is also HUGE; you could easily split and share it. Drinks; the margaritas are very good. A margarita with mezcal is even better and they're happy to make it. Finally, I was cold, so I threw a curve ball at our server Ken and asked for a hot chocolate with bourbon and Bailey's in it. He brought me exactly what I wanted; hot, delicious, and I wasn't cold anymore. Next up, something I never expected. Resident magician Dan shows up at our table and blew the mind of our eight year old, and I was thoroughly impressed with his sleight of hand tricks as well. An undercooked steak that lacked flavor forced me to send it back only to get it overcooked. For 74$ I would expect a good quality steak that is atleast cooked close to what my desired temperature. Andres the server was attentive and good and made the experience better. The restraunt itself did look outdated and gave the feeling of an older steakhouse that only serves good burgers. Have been regular diners at BCCH for many years. The kitchen has been consistently solid while the service component has come off the rails as most recently experienced at a late (1:30p) lunch around the last week of June (started on this review the following day but just getting back to finishing) on a very slow afternoon while there were perhaps six occupied tables and an abundance of wait staff outdoors. We observed at least one supervisor/manager on hand, possibly more, but sometimes it's difficult to tell supervisors from servers when supervisors and management are disconnected from the service team. I digress. We were greeted by a friendly, but very new server from Mumbai. We exchanged pleasantries about his native India and my upcoming visit there. A very kind, gentleman, quiet, and COMPLETELY UNTRAINED AND UNSUPERVISED. He lacked confidence (being untrained) and was completely unfamiliar with the bar or food menus--his grasp of English was below average even for Vail Valley summertime seasonal service persons. Ladies and gentlemen, THAT'S NOT HIS FAULT. Here on a H-B visa trying to support his family back home. Management, if there was any present, should never have put this gentleman in front of paying customers. Both he and customers deserve better. This gentleman should have been accompanied by a trainer and assisted him to service our table of four. We were cheated out of a lunch because this gentleman was simply overwhelmed by questions we had about the menu and nuances of the English language. I don't complain to servers. I don't send things back to the kitchen under any set of circumstances. I don't eat it if Iv didn't order it. I don't eat it if it doesn't come out right. I simply pay, leave the server a generous tip, and don't come back if there is not a manager available to make it right. I would rate this experience right up there with the worst I've encountered worldwide. If this is the best BCCH can do, just shut your doors and call it a day! A management debacle. read more

They have it down, even when the place is hopping. And the location can't be beat after skiing. It isn't cheap but nothing in BC is. We had the lunch menu instead of the Dinner menu. They were completely sold out on reservations for dinner. We started off with the crab cakes, pork belly sliders and a salad for appetizer. My husband ordered the chicken strips with truffle fries and I had the lobster roll. I also ordered the spiced Wine. The crab cakes were my favorite thing beside our server! The food was great but i would like to see what the dinner menu offers. Our server was amazing, her name was Meghan! I've never had spiced wine but she let me try it and it was so delicious! Also all her recommendations were really great. She was extremely nice and attentive! She also told us the dinner menu is extremely good!! We would definitely come here again. We visit BC each summer and make Chop House one our visits for dinner. We've had excellent service in the past, but this visit was different. Food was excellent, service not so much. Waiter started out strong and then fizzled to a no show. He took our order (did not ask us if we wanted something other than water) and only returned to give us our check. Lots of servers bustling about....but, our guy was...m.i.a. Had to ask other servers for drinks (other than water), refills and additional bread order. The sides were amazing (get the bacon Brussel sprouts!), dessert(chocolate chip ice cream sandwich) was fantastic and service was great! We went on Thursday night and were able to see the fireworks over the slopes. We had a 5:30 reservation and got a table near the window and the fireworks were at 6:20. I think if you go later, you get seated further from the windows and don't see the fireworks. We also really enjoyed the magician walking around. Went here on a Sunday night for a vacation bday celebration. They accommodated a late change because they said we reserved the wrong day. Service was good. Attentive, accommodating and she checked in on us regularly. We ordered a lot of food and everyone enjoyed their meal. The only meal we didn't enjoy was the Tomahawk steak because it was too rare we had to send it back to be cooked more. Seafood tower was good but we've had better. The final night of the ski trip ended with a nice steak dinner. To start, I'd like to say the waiter we had was amazing. He made the experience that much more enjoyable. He was easy to talk to and helped us all feel a lot home. The table got a nice bottle of wine and some oysters to start. Following the oysters the table got to enjoy some warm bread with butter while we waited for our orders. I went with the ribeye and side salad for my main entree and the carrot cake for dessert. The wine and appetizers were great and everything I expected. The steak was on the salty side which was disappointing. I could have gone without the large drop of butter on the steak. Best Carrot Cake I think I've ever had, no joke. Possibly worth a trip just for that if you dig carrot cake. Charcuterie plate is also really excellent. And pro tip, that delicious creamy cheese they they place under the pita chips is so delicious and creamy because, as I embarrassingly discovered today, it's a pad of butter. My family of 4 had dinner. There are no individual sides, just large "family" portions so you'll get more food/waste money if you're the only person in your party that wants a particular side. My steak was undercooked so I only ate the portion that was actually cooked. Don't get the key lime martini unless you like lemon since it's made with lemon liquor and the only lime is a slice on the side of the glass. Very over priced for what we ordered. Worst part is that 3 of 4 family members got food poisoning and had a really bad experience the entire next day. The best part was the very nice magician Dan. He had great tricks! read more
