Beef Wellington
Ryan B.

Very good meal. The service was totally on point. Our server was very attentive and on it. The French onion soup was killer! One of the best I have had in a long time. The beef Wellington was suppose to be wago but I think it was prime. So I was a little disappointed in that. My sons fish was great. And the chocolate soufflé was awesome. All and all I would come back. Great location and perfect atmosphere.

We went there for a birthday dinner , reservation is a must. Elegant for a small space . Really nice and approachable staff .Fave of the Hors d'Oeuvres Froids is the salmon 10/10. Overall we enjoy and loved our experience . Will definitely be back for more.

My husband and I made reservations for a Saturday night dinner while in Vail visiting for a work trip. I was a little hesitant based on other reviews but I wanted to share a review because our experience was so pleasant. This is a traditional French restaurant, and that is exactly why I loved it. Our service was impeccable. The food was delicious. We had the caviar (with all the accoutrements), truffle pasta which was a special, the filet, and chocolate soufflé, plus wine. This was by far the most memorable dinner experience our entire trip, plus the original chef/founder (Chef Luc) was enjoying dinner at the table next to us; we said hello! My husband said the decor felt a little "stuffy" but I didn't mind it, and in fact expected it for a French restaurant. Can't wait to go back!

This restaurant offered al Fresca dining during lunch + it was perfectly shaded! It was right by the creek, so while we were waiting for our food, our daughter got to play by there and we were still able to see her. I was in the mood for a lighter fare, so we ordered the lobster roll & and the pain bagnat. Both were really good items. The lobster roll was definitely not what I expected... not the New England style where it's lobster in drawn butter tucked in buttery bread. It was prepared similar to a chicken salad of what appeared to be mayo and dill. It was still very good, but not my favorite. The customer service was superb and I even got to check out the dining area upstairs that was used for dinner. Quite a lovely space. I do not eat a lot of French cuisine, but I imagine a lot of this was authentic. Would I be back, when I return to Vail? Most definitely! I'd love to try dinner there sometime upon visiting again. It's in the same building as the hotel, so you will pass it on your way to the indoor dining room, which is beautifully designed!

From the time you walk in to the time you leave, treated with utmost respect. Everything is fantastic. Food is amazing. Looking forward to my return trip already!

Horrible waiters, and bartenders who insert themselves into customer's conversations and then judge you. Will NEVER go to this restaurant.

Visiting Vail for a quick getaway a few weekends ago made me realize (again) that this mountain…read moretown renowned for exhilarating outdoor activities is a foodie destination with so many options to choose from Michelin-recognized restaurants to something more casual. And to stumble upon this chic and inconspicuous cocktail bar in the busy downtown was something I wasn't expecting and became a treat after a nice stroll through the town after dinner in my hotel room. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was at the place where my heart was calling for. There were two gents at the bar and one of them warmly greeted me and said I could sit anywhere I would like. I hence picked one of the bar seats. Except one table that was occupied by a couple I was the only one. I appeared to have picked the right time; I had the whole bar to myself (eventually though, several different groups of people streamed in; only a few of them sat at the bar close to me. The bar was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a little over 10 people.) Jeremy, who greeted me upon arrival, was a super host. As soon as I explained that wine is my usual got-to, he said he could mix and match reds and whites to create a "flight" based on what I had told him as to my likings. His extensive explanations as to what sorts of reds and whites the bar offers/serves was (of course) all in his memory. His eloquent speech with no filler words truly impressed me; he sure is a wine connoisseur. What he picked for me were... -2024 Pepiere "Les Gras Moutons" (Muscadet) -Kobal "Bajta", Hazole Belo (aka Orange Wine) -Sandlands "Red Table Wine (Lodi Red Blend) With his wealth of knowledge, after giving him only a hint of what I liked, what Jeremy selected for me to sample/sip was a superb choice. All of them were world-class excellence with elegance and beauty. I carefully and slowly sipped each one little by little to truly immerse myself in the art of wine. Yes, wine is a piece of art for sure. I think I said it correctly at the beginning of this review. This is a cocktail bar with variety of spirits which Jeremy could easily concoct just about anything from gin-based one to vodka-based one to tequila-based ones to whiskey-based one to name several. For those who don't drink, their zero-proof section also has something interesting to browse and choose. Not to mention, rotating pilsner or IPA on tap to name a few from the beer section as well. If you need a little bite to eat, their (changing) food menu has a good number of New American-style plates. The bar originally opened in a different building back in 2015 (I believe). They moved to the current location in 2019. They also offer various different classes so you can expand/extend your knowledge. So for your next foodie vacation in Vail, make sure to include Root & Flower in your list.

Price: Expect standard Vail pricing for high-end cocktails, with most drinks ranging between $16-$20. Customer Service: The service was fantastic. The staff was incredibly kind and efficient; even though we stayed for quite a while to catch up, we felt welcomed and well-attended to the entire night. Atmosphere This spot has a cool, welcoming vibe that feels very safe. It's the kind of environment where you can really settle in and enjoy the company you're with. The Drinks I ordered the Sangre del Sol. The flavor was amazing, though be warned it is very strong! It's an excellent choice if you enjoy a cocktail with a serious kick, but I ended up letting my friend finish mine after a few sips. Overall Experience I highly recommend Root & Flower for a beautiful setting and top-tier service. Pro Tip: A huge bonus for this location is the parking! You can park for free after 3 PM at the S. Frontage Rd. East garage right nearby. I'll definitely be back!

Such a relaxing but chic spot to enjoy a meal after being out in the mountains. Our waitress was not overbearing and gave us enough time between bites to take it all in. She also made sure we got the full experience with the hot chocolate to marvel at its glory! The food was excellent, but the butternut squash soup was truly outstanding. It had a beautiful natural sweetness with a subtle hint of apple that made the flavor feel layered and comforting, and the pepitas added the perfect little crunch. It was one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave. We also ordered the hummus, which tasted incredibly fresh and crisp, light, bright, and perfectly refreshing alongside the richer dishes. But the real star of the experience was the hot chocolate. It was absolutely decadent and comforting, easily one of the best cups of hot chocolate I've ever had. Rich, smooth, and the perfect treat in a snowy Vail setting. Overall, Remedy Bar delivers a beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and a cozy mountain-luxury experience. I would absolutely recommend stopping in if you're visiting Vail.

We walked in and it appeared to be a quiet night, we could see the bar was pretty empty. The hostess asked if we were staying at the hotel and we said no, we were dropping by for cocktails and wished to sit outside. She told us we could sit inside at a couch area by the entrance. One of our friends walked through the bar and noticed the fire pit seating areas were available and asked a server if we could sit there instead. She looked at us and said she would have to ask the hostess if any were available. Clearly they were and they didn't want our group sitting there for some reason. The bar was practically empty so not sure what the issue would be, perhaps it was because we were not hotel guests. After not getting back to us we just sat ourselves outside. Our server was Nivas. Nivas was not overly friendly but she was attentive. We ordered a couple rounds of cocktails. They were pricy but good. The fire pit tables are very nice. If you can sit outside at a fire pit I would recommend doing so.
