I've been here 4 times and started going the beginning of 2024. The team here is great with communicating and responding in a timely manner. The lash sets last me a good amount of time before they slowly start to fall off one by one. During the appointments, they are very gentle with application. I've fallen asleep a couple times. They offer discounts for your first three visits which is very nice! If you go in for refills, they have different price points (i.e. 2 weeks refill vs 1 month). Everyone there is super nice and will make sure you are satisfied with your lashes before finishing up the appointment. They do book out quick, so make sure to make an appointment at least 2 weeks prior! read more

I was an eyelash extension virgin....until today! I was very fortunate to get a same day appointment due to a cancellation. My experience honestly could not have been better. Mimi was my technician, and she was absolutely fantastic. Incredibly sweet, and extraordinarily gentle. I felt like I was receiving butterfly kisses on my eyelids the entire time. I was really scared that I was going to end up with bloodshot eyes like I have seen in photos from people who have gotten eyelash extensions at OTHER establishments. My eyes are highly sensitive. I had zero reaction, and my eyelashes look stunning! I opted for the basic set, and we decided to go with 70 Lashes per eye. You can go up to 85 Lashes per eye for the same price. But since this was my first time, I wanted to keep it natural and see how it felt. The establishment is clean and well appointed, and they had supplies for me to remove my mascara. Bring cash to save some money! The fee is higher if you use Venmo, and slightly higher than that if you use a credit card. I will definitely be back! read more

The ladies at this lash salon are so kind and seriously go above and beyond. I got my first ever set of lash extensions here before my wedding, and I was able to get a new client discount by coming in at a certain time and following them on Instagram. The space is very calm with great natural light and relaxing music. There's a sink where you can wash your eye area before you get started in case you are wearing makeup or sunscreen or moisturizer. The beds themselves are also super comfortable. You can even get a blanket placed over you! It is so easy to fall asleep while getting lash extensions. I ended up going for fluffy lashes with medium volume, and I paid in cash / tipped in cash. My lash artist was awesome, but the next day I felt like one of my eyes was looking a bit uneven in terms of lash length. After thinking about it, I reached out to the phone number through text, and the amazing receptionist said she was able to fit me in at the end of the day. I had a different lash artist that time, who helped me realize that by brushing out my lashes, they were actually even. But regardless, she still spent 45 minutes with me to really make sure the lashes were perfectly even. I truly appreciated her and the receptionist staying late (I was the last client there on a Friday night). The service was free since I went within seven days of my first appointment, but I still tipped them anyway because again, they seriously went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my lashes. Amazing service each time I go! This review is a little late but it deserves 10 stars. This is the only lash salon I will visit in NYC. I've been getting lash extensions for years now at various places and at some point developed an allergy to the glue. Blue Geisha is the only salon where this does not happen. I don't know what they do differently, but I do know they're very meticulous with the entire process: the prep, actual extension, and touch up. I've also worked with different artists here over time and the service + quality have always been consistent. Oh and the lashes.... THEY'RE THERE TO STAY!! As long as you also do your part and try your best to maintain, those lashes last a solid few weeks. So glad to have found a place where I can just go and relax knowing what to expect everytime (beautiful lashes!!), instead of worrying about how it's gonna turn out or having to search for a new place to try. read more

Honestly, overpriced and the quality's alright. I really wanted to like it... I spoke quite a bit with the receptionist via text when I was curious about a lash certification course and I was also looking for new place to get my lashes done. They were very responsive prior to me going to the appointment on a Sunday. For almost $300 with tip you'd expect better service, quality, and retention. I got the platinum texture medium volume. My lash artist Sakura was decent, she was very sanitary and I didn't feel my lashes being done at all. I thought my lashes looked really good when she was done and I was satisfied. Retention is not good for how much it was. My right eye was sparse after two days. Even after the fix it's the same issue. The fix took less than 15 mins so I'm not sure why they were giving me a hard time about it. Would not return tbh. read more

Responding to owner - yes, you're right. The artist did check with me and I even left a generous tip. I was happy because in the light, you can see my lashes.. When I walked out and started to take pictures of myself to my friends, I started to realize that you cannot even tell I got my lashes done. I had to look back at old pictures from different places.. even at 60pcs per eye, my lashes are so much more noticeable than what was done by you guys. I tried to convince myself that maybe it is what I chose but I do remember the artist asking me about .5 - she never said anything about using .10 or .15 - I don't even recall seeing that thickness on your lash menu. The lashes were already done and I am not the type to make a scene at a place especially somewhere so calming and quiet. I also stayed there for a hour and half already so while I told your artist that I was happy, I was really just trying to convince myself that it is noticeable. Even if I didn't show pictures of my lashes on this review, I went to work the next day and asked my coworkers if there was anything different about me. They mentioned everything but my lashes.. how disappointing. Thank you for offering your free fix but I will not be going back. I'm sure refunds are not allowed but I would much likely prefer that. read more

A great experience from setting up an appointment to meeting my lash specialist. My appointment was at 5:30pm and we started promptly at 5:30pm which is huge. My lash specialist was very collaborative and presented me with some options of how my lashes could look. I booked a "fluffy medium volume" set and opted for a cat-eye look. I have small-ish eyes so my appointment was only around 90 minutes, but I heard these appointments can go up to 4 hours for really dramatic looks. The actual process was painless and quite relaxing. My eyes weren't watery or sensitive at all. 36 hours in and my lashes are looking great. They look natural but noticeable. I look more awake and alert when I wake up in the morning. The only thing that I'm struggling with is the 48 hour curing period where you can't get your lashes wet at all. I live an active lifestyle and run almost every day. Over the last 36 hours I've had to really dial it down, running shorter distances on the treadmill while obsessively wiping sweat off my forehead, and deferring my weekly distance run to after the 48 hour period. I also wash my hair everyday, but haven't been able to do so in 36 hours. Between the summer heat and working out (albeit lightly) I'm feeling a little gross haha. Overall I think lash extensions are great but probably not so great if you like to stay active. I have scheduled a 2 week refill in advance right before an international vacation, but after that I'll probably reserve lashes for special occasions only. Blue Geisha Lashes are pricey - mine was ~$165 with the 30% first client discount, but without tip. With tip it was $215 (my choice to tip that much). But I don't gamble with anything that has to do with my eyes, teeth, face, etc. so I'm OK paying more for quality and service. Since this is my first and only lash salon experience it's hard to say that it's worth it, but I do feel like I'm getting what I paid for! read more

I come here for the best lashes! I haven't frequented anywhere else since I have found Blue Geisha. The lashes as so light you don't even feel them. They also have different volumes and they are happy to explain and help you decide what shape and style is best for you. They last for a good 3 to 4 weeks but I always suggest making sure you follow the instructions for after care and avoid sleeping on them. They really take their time and make sure your lashes are picture perfect. (Kei and Phi are the sweetest!) Expect to spend at least 3 hours or so for each appointment, although I haven't gone back for refills and let them fall out naturally on their own. read more

But not having time to look for another place, I went back and the 2nd artist was much better. When I made my next refill appointment, the artist only spent 45 minutes on me but charged me for a brand new set because it was 1 day past the refill date (which fell on Thanksgiving day and they were closed). Had she actually spent the time of a full set on me (1.5 hours), I wouldn't have minded. But she didn't and they did not inform me it was going to be a full set when I made the refill appointment - even though I specified it was a refill several times. This is my go to lash place. The studio is clean, the staff is friendly and texting to book an appointment is a God send. I love the fact that they have everything ready for you when you arrive. This may be because I get the same thing every time, but it's helpful and puts a personal touch when you don't have to wait for your tech to get their supplies together while you wait. The only 2 people who I allow to do my lashes are Ellie and Kei, this is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. The work of the other techs is hit or miss. I've been with TB (Expert Lash Technician) for over a year now and do not plan on switching to a different salon. Being that I have really thin lashes, TB manages to do a flawless job with the extensions of my choice. The best thing about her is that she makes the extensions look exactly like in the pictures. Just finished getting my eyelashes done. I did my research and thought this place was the best place to go to. Boy was I wrong. I got the Medium platinum and told the girl i like it longer than the baseline she showed me. She put 7,8,9,10 originally and I told her it's too short. So then she said she will make it longer using 8-11. I trusted her and when she was done, my eyelashes look like there's nothing on them. I told her I didn't like them and she told me her next client is here. I'm so disappointed. Very disappointed. My advice, voice your opinion from the start and if she disagrees leave.
