One of my friend from PR first took me here back in 1998 and I have been back many many time! This could be some of the best chicken you will ever have. OMG so tasty. Loved the ribs and pork, also got Yucca and onions and momofongo of yucca (which tastes like a knish). 1/2 lb each of the ribs and roast pork, the 2 sides and a Coke Zero for $17 and there is lots of food. Seating is at outdoor picnic tables with watchful pigeons and seagulls ready to clean up any leftovers. Stopped by Bebo's for dinner one night on the way home from our excursion to El Yunque. This place was exactly what I was looking for on our trip to Puerto Rico. It's literally on the side of a main road, across the highway from the airport, and they have a glass case full of all kinds of Puerto Rican fare. There was arroz con gandule, yucca, grilled chicken, bbq ribs that were awesome, and blood sausages; something I've been wanting to try and it wasn't too bad actually. Hands down great Puerto Rican food at a good value. Just set your gps to the mc Donald's as this gem is next to the mickey d's on the marginal road in Carolina . Bbq ribs that don't require sauce and home style arroz con gandules are basics. You can get a combo plate or if you want to do this family style you can order ribs by the pound and rice by the portion . Try the ripe plantains (amarillos) . You can order these by amount . Try one or two ; don't be shy. Ok these guys don't speak English and if you don't speak Spanish, no worries. You will find a helpful soul or two that will help you order. The first blood sausage I have ever had and it was pretty tasty (lots of seasoning). The pork was just amazing. The yuka was better than the other few times I had it (and I really liked it then). Food Was Amazing!!! I had the Pernil (Roast Pork) with Rice and Beans..The food was sooo good! I added a little of their home made hot sauce which made it taste that much better. Unfortunately, it took us about 5 minutes to find this place because they changed the name from Bebos to Yaucano or something like that. Once inside it was Freezingggg! But the hot sauce warmed me right up. Service was so/so... The restaurant had a cafeteria style vibe to it. Lots of locals eating mofongo.. I was too scared to try it. As a tourist from Oregon, the wait in line with the humidity and hot weather was unbearable! The wait was about 40 mins at 6pm. Once we made it to the counter the lady didn't speak any English which was very difficult. Someone behind us in line helped us order in Spanish but I could tell the woman helping us at the counter was annoyed that we couldn't communicate. Thing do move slow here so plan for a hot and long wait. Wondering why the 5 stars? Because like everyone else waiting in line, it was WELL WORTH the wait. We got almost 3 lbs of BBQ and rice and drinks for $25 and we would have expected way more with the delicious taste. Very very good BBQ. It was an experience...but worth it! read more

So after you rent your car this is the first place you should go eat right after for some local delish! Some pernil (pork shoulder) and arroz con gandules (puerto rican rice).
