Bought an "L" shaped sectional with (with 3 year INSURANCE) multiple motorized pieces. The Insurance scam team they use is INSURANCE CARE PROTECTION and once you've given them your money you'll never see it or see the fruit of having insurance because of a predictor fraud policy that they have to protect keeping your money with no results. The first week, well probably first few days, the back of the section that bends in the "L" shape broke just from minor sitting back in it. I know exactly how much pressure was placed on it cause I did it. Tried to see what I could do for it then called but got run around cause it was weekend. Had to call them back and then played musical phones for a while. My phone says their number is connected to fraud or scam calls so no surprise. They had me send ALOT of pictures and then told me (after I called them again of course for followup) the policy is only good if claimed within 5 days. Yeah it's in the policy. So the policy is good for 3 years BUT once and after a single claim has been made it's VOID for everything on that piece! Guess I'll have to fix that myself. Now I have a motorized leg piece not working on another piece let's see what will happen. Called same day, "someone will call you back," but we had to call back then they said no claim had been made with that call. More phone tag, "we'll call you back within 24 hrs" but don't and musical chairs so far. I'd give them a zero in stars but Yelp won't let me cause that what they deserve. Actually Negative 5 stars. I Recently purchased a mattress from this location. The mattress sales person, Gary, was super helpful in finding the perfect bed and pillows. The mattress was out of stock when I purchased it but the sales person gave me updates about the shortages as I waited. The delivery of the mattress was well worth the wait! My delivery made it as scheduled despite 8 inches of snowfall from the night before. The delivery workers were polite and extremely helpful while they delivered the product. I would definitely recommend Becker furniture when buying a mattress! read more

We are shopping around for furniture as we are closing in our new home in July. We want to get an idea for brands we like, styles we like, and comfort level of sectionals. We walked into Becker and were promptly greeted by a woman. When we told her what we were doing she was very rude. When we said we can not make any large purchases yet, you know, we are closing on a house, she was rude and told us how wrong we were. She used the scare tactic of "it won't be here or if it is it will go up over $600." Needless to say, we will go elsewhere for any furniture needs. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. We bought an electronic reclining couch and went with an extended warranty in case of electrical issues. Within a couple months stitching was coming undone on the seat so it was very obvious, but we let it slide, until the electronics completely stopped working on one side of the couch. The couch less than a year so I called to file a claim. I was asked to text pics of the side with electrical issues and of the stitching issue. I was told parts would be mailed to the house and to call when I got them. Nothing ever came so I called to follow up and they said they would look into it and get back to me, never heard back. At this point it was over 2 months so I called back and they said they'd check with the manufacturer again. By the time they scheduled someone to come out (and no parts were ever received) it's been 4 months since I made the claim. The guy came out and left materials to reupholster the couch ourselves where the stitching was coming undone and just "stitched" it back together by hand (without even using the correct thread color and did a shitty job). Then claimed he didn't have the right part to fix the other side of the couch where the electronics weren't working correctly. A few weeks after he left I get an email saying our new part was on the way, followed closely by a phone call saying now that I'm outside my ONE year warranty I need to call a new company and file a new claim with the extended warranty company. I told them my claim was filed within the one year but they said "well now it's outside the one year". So because it took them 4-6 months to address my claim they purposely waited until it was outside their warranty so it's not their problem anymore. We let it go when that side of the couch magically started working (at least the foot rest was coming out, but nothing else worked) and I made my piece with the shitty stitching. Now my toddler got the headrest to work but set it alllll the way forward and it's stuck this way. I'm horrified at the claim process and how long we are now going to be stuck with half a working couch, can't even sit on the side with the headrest issue because it's set so far forward. What a nightmare! Go ANYWHERE else for furniture if you want even halfway decent customer service. read more

I came in just after Labor Day looking for living room furniture for my new house. A salesperson (Tim) came up to ask if I wanted help right after I walked in. I told him I wanted comfy, traditional, durable furniture. He steered me away from a few and got my sense of style very quickly. He explained the pros and cons of different sets and really seemed to want to help me. We found a set I loved, priced it out, and shook hands so I could ponder and make sure I wanted to purchase. No pressure to buy on the spot. Ended up coming back later that night to buy. My toddlers were with me and treated like royalty by the sales staff. Dinged them one star for the lack of follow up after purchase. The furniture had to be ordered, then delivered to my house. No one ever called to tell me it had come in. When I called to inquire, the woman on the phone acted like it was obvious that I would need to call to confirm my stuff had come in and call to schedule delivery. A miss in the sales process to not have someone calling when items come in. The delivery guys were fantastic and kind. Love my new couch and chair! read more

In order to deal with customer complains, it seems that Becker has outsourced all post-sale support to a third party company. Thusly, once you have purchased something, and it leaves their distribution center, they seem all too happy to wash their hands of the situation. I learned this the hard way when a none-too-cheap couch was delivered in a broken state. The delivery chaps, who were in a stunning hurry to get outta my house, said they'd, "open a ticket and have it taken care of." What that really means is the service company gets involved. And what do they do? The issue gets tossed over yet another proverbial wall to the manufacturer whilst we, "wait to see what they want to do." Calls to Becker and others have the charm of at least being consistent in their "meh" about this whole thing. I just wanted what I paid for, not the contracted legal battle I'm being forced to undertake. Run. read more

We ordered a bed for my elderly parents. When we called to schedule the delivery the Covid 19 pandemic had started and the store was open only by appointment. I reached the store manager after several calls learning the trucks were not delivering to our city and if they could they were not allowed to set up the bed system. He worked to not only get the bed to his store for pick but delivered to our city AND set up the bed. Loved the service during this trying time and do hard to do business! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would!!! Me and my husband placed an order for a dining room table at Becker Furniture World in Burnsville, MN in Feb. 2021. We were told to expect delivery between May and July but that date could change due to COVID-19. From July to November there was no communication from the store unless we contacted the store ourselves. Each time we called we were blown off and given false information with regards to when the table would arrive. After 13 months of still waiting for the table to arrive and an unacceptable lack of communication from Becker Furniture World, we decided to cancel the order. On March 18, 2022, I called Emily and informed her that we wanted o cancel the order and that we wanted our deposit back. Emily informed me that we could not get our money back (even though we paid with cash) but would have to wait 7 to 10 days for a check to be mailed to us. It is now March 31st and we have not received a check nor any communication from Emily or Becker Furniture World. read more

Becker Furniture world has good quality furniture at a good price; however, you need to avoid the Burnsville location. First, about 1.5 years ago, I purchased two power recliner chairs. I also purchased the Montage 5 year warranty. Last July, one of the chairs stopped working ... no power. I contacted Becker and they gave me the information to contact Montage. I had to take pictures, include receipts, and "prove" that the chair was no longer working. Montage sent a person to my house to confirm that the chair was no longer working. That person did nothing other than look at the chair and say, "yep, it's broken." I was then informed that they would send me the parts to fix the chair and that I had to do the repair myself. The parts never arrived. It's now December and the chair broke in July .... no fix, no replacement, no parts. Becker agreed to refund my money for the chair. My daughter and her husband shopped for dining room chairs using my store credit. When we went to check out, I had no store credit. They informed me that the chair had not been returned, so they would not issue the credit. Up until this moment in time, they never asked for the chair to be returned nor did they offer any means in which to pick up the chair. Finally, we scheduled the return (Keep in mind, it is now five months later), and the three deliver conformation messages I received had the wrong address. I clicked on the links in two of the messages (one was a phone call) to correct the address and I never heard anything back. I waited for the two hours that were scheduled for pick up and no one showed up. At the exact time that the delivery was to be completed by (the last possible minute), store manager, who had scheduled the pick up, Krista, called me to say, sorry, there was a mistake in the address! They rescheduled for the next day and the pick up went smoothly. However, I had to schedule my day around their convenience twice! Next, I spent over 6k to furnish a new basement with a couch, ottoman, bookcases, and a media center. All of the items were not immediately available, so I was asked to wait over 6 weeks for all of my furniture, to which I said no .... deliver what is available now and I'll wait for the rest. The couch and bookcases were delivered first. No problems there, but after the purchase, I got a call from the sales person and was informed that she had accidentally charged me $200 less than the actual purchase price for the bookcase and she wanted me to bring in more money. The purchase process is computerized .... the sales people do not manually put in the actual prices, so I'm not sure how she put in the wrong price. They held up the ordering of my furniture until this was worked out. The delivery of those items was scheduled for the following Tuesday, but once again, no one showed up. The sales person claimed that I misunderstood the date, but we had a long conversation regarding my schedule and the need for the deliver people to show up by a specific time, so there was no misunderstanding on my part, only incompetence on their part. Finally, 8 weeks later, my media center was delivered, but it was damaged. I had to wait another 8 weeks for a different piece of furniture to be delivered. The delivery people are awesome! They are always polite, considerate, and good at what they do. That is the only positive attribute of this particular location. Becker may be a good company, but the Burnsville location is simply awful and should be avoided, at all cost. read more

Great service from Janet! We had shopped at every furniture store and Becker was our last stop. We were starting to lose our patience with each other, my boyfriend and I. Like a pro, Janet quickly diffused the situation with the greatest of ease. In the end, he got the couch he wanted and I got the style and color. Even our cashier was friendly and sweet and when we checked out. The estimated delivery was 9 weeks, but we got it in 4. 90 minute delivery window and they called before they arrived. Used blankets to protect the walls and doors. Couch is settled in. Looks fabulous! Color and style and comfort. Everyone's a winner !! On 12/10/2016 I went to Becker Furniture World to purchase some furniture. We informed Vicki that we were moving in our new house in two weeks. When we found the furniture that we liked she informed us that it was special order, and we would have to wait 4 weeks for delivery. We weren't thrilled that we had to go without furniture for a few weeks, but we decided it was worth the wait. (Our invoice has an estimated time of arrival for the 3 items as 1/8/17.) I called 1/9/17 to see if my order was on track. I was told it would arrive 1/10 or 1/13 and someone would call me to arrange delivery. I never received a call. I called 1/11 to see if my order was coming on 1/13 and I was told yes and I would receive a call to confirm delivery. I never received a call. I called back on 1/13 to see if my order had arrived at the showroom. I was told no. I asked if my order could be tracked, so I would have some idea of when my items would arrive. I was told that someone would get back to me. I never received a call. My concern is that customer service has absolutely no idea where my items are. I paid over $4000 for these items! The interest alone will probably end up being more expensive than the delivery charge. In the future I will not be doing business with Becker Furniture World. I would rather pay more money to a company that has informed customer service and sales associates. Update: I left a message 1/16 and never received a return call. I called again 1/17 and Morgan stated that all deliveries in this time range have been delayed due to weather. She said that my order is expected today and she will call me to let me know if my order came in or not. Update: The delivery was prompt. This will probably be our last purchase from Becker 4 years ago we purchased a $3000 sectional sofa after we were quoted a 2week delivery it took over six weeks to receive our sofa. We really liked our sofa so decided to give a second chance. We went to Becker on December 30th we went to Becker ordered a $4800 bedroom set we were told all components would arrive by January 10th. I received a call January 7th saying all items were ready for delivery and scheduled delivery for January 15th. Cleaned out our room shampooed floors took day off work never got my call with delivery time I called to see what time they will arrive apparently they never scheduled the delivery and neglected to call me to set up delivery. I have purchased furniture often in my lifetime, for living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens. I was excited to find the exact new living room furniture I wanted at Becker after shopping so many other places. I selected my special order fabric, paid my large amount of money, and waited my 12 weeks to receive my furniture. I even purchased the extended warranty because the plan seemed so good, and the chair was electric. Then the nightmare began. I have a sofa and chair that the fabric is thinning, worn, de threading, and looks like furniture 20 years old. 6 months later I have had no support or satisfaction from Becker. Be very very aware of how they support their product if there are any issues, because they do not. The manufacturer warranty is limited, even if you only had the furniture a month. The store warranty is limited. I will never shop Becker again. I would never recommend. I am still waiting for any customer support. read more

I was hoping I'd be able to post an update that Becker dealt with my concerns. Unfortunately it's been a series of empty promises and continued poor customer service. While Becker did have customer service call me about the feathers coming out of my couch all they said is that we will check with the vendor to see if this is normal and get back to you. They said the down cushions should be wrapped and if not this is something they might do for us. It's been over 4 weeks now I have never heard back. Every time you sit on the couch feathers come out. Not only is it messy and embarrassing to have guests pick feathers off their clothing, but at this rate, we are wondering what the couch will look like in a year? We did finally receive our final piece of of the couch after multiple delays and about 6 weeks later the promised. By this point I could have special ordered a different piece of furniture. We had only selected this piece because it was in stock and going to be delivered Dec 7th, in time for our holiday entertaining. The assistant manager provided some updates, however was inconsistent. When I asked for some sort of compensation for the continued delays and problems we were experiencing she indicated I would receive something but not until after it was delivered. Well, it's was delivered about two weeks ago and I've never heard back from her. Not once did I hear from the sales person I bought the couch from either. read more

The Burnsville Mattress location has the best sleep expert/mattress salesman of all time. Dan McConnell has helped us purchase two mattresses over the last year. His knowledge is exceptional. His sales style is what everyone shopping for anything would appreciate. He's not pushy. He knows what mattresses to show you and provides information on all of them. He shows you the most expensive to the least expensive and knows the differences. He gives you time and space to try different mattresses. He may have lost a sale the last time we were because there was someone else that needed mattress help. Hopefully that guy came back and bought a bed. Very disappointed again by Becker first I bought a bed from them 6 years ago and it completely collapsed and they didn't do anything about it. Recently I found a headboard and footboard that I liked was told it would be there on the 14th of Feb no order was there then was told it would be there the 19th no call on that day either next was told it should be there the 23rd of feb. still no order called the customer service and no order was filled so I returned item today and will not be returning to Becker any time again ever. read more

Worst experience ever. It's taken over 40 weeks and multiple attempts through re-orders to get the furniture we ordered and it's still the wrong color and even worse the furniture comes damaged. We are zero for three attempts and the managers resolution is to return all of the furniture and refund our money because according to him it is unrealistic to pay almost $10,000 for furniture and expect to receive what we ordered undamaged. I wonder if his supervisor knows what little attempt his employee makes to deliver on Becker's promise of quality furniture and an excellent customer service experience... Very dissatisfied. Purchased a chair from the floor and another matching chair but that was in the distribution center. Was told it would be delivered within days to the store for us to pick up. We were told we would be called once it arrived. How long does it take to deliver a chair from Becker to Burnsville? Apparently 12 days. Ridiculous. Then, we called and were told the chair had arrived. No one called us to let us know. Then we wanted to come in and pick it up. No, we couldn't do that. I went into Becker to look at rugs. I was able to find a sample to take home. While there I found a decorative dish for my mantle. Unfortunately, the dish was the wrong shade, so I thought I could take it back and get my money back . Since I paid with cash. Becker doesn't tell you if buy something there it takes two-three weeks to get your money back, even if it's cash. OMG it was twenty-two dollars and forty-eight cents! After reading the previous reviews I am a bit surprised. We went into the Burnsville location on Black Friday to look for some new living room furniture. Our sales rep named Brenda was extremely helpful and walked the entire store with us helping us find all the pieces we were looking for. At one point they had someone move a recliner across the store so that we could see if it matched our couch we were buying. We decided to pick up our furniture since it was going to cost $100 to get it delivered. I was surprised that with the amount of money we were spending that delivery wouldn't be included. Not the end of the world but I wasn't happy when they told me I had to pay $25 to transfer the furniture from the warehouse to the store. I don't think I have to pay a transfer fee at the grocery store since the food comes in from a warehouse too. To me that's a bad way to make an extra $25. After I picked up the furniture and got it home we were very unhappy when we sat on the couch and chair for the first time and it was like sitting on plywood. I called the next day and talked to someone right away and she put notes on my account and told me she would have our salesperson call us. We went back that night to look at different furniture and the manager said we could have a few extra days past the normal return period to try it out. The following day our sales rep called and left a message stating that the furniture just needed to be broken in and this was completely normal. She stated after some use it would be just as soft as the pieces we sat on in the store. I went home the next night and tried to soften up the cushions by moving around on each cushion. It definitely helped but It would have been nice if the sales staff had told us before we made the purchase that the furniture would need a break in period. Overall I would say our experience was a good one and I would recommend Becker to my family and friends. read more

I go a price from a sales lady and she let me leave with no pressure at all. I returned the next day to complete the purchase. Bought couch & love seat, pretty much on the higher side$ wise. Had it delivered in June. It came to the house & there were quite a bit of things wrong with both items. Called Becker & they had a tech come out 2 wks. later. He found several things wrong w/both items. Said he would order the parts & it would take about 2 hrs to fix. Waited for over a month, no word from Becker. I called them & asked what the hold up was, got transfered to customer serv. They said the parts would not be in tell oct.30th. Thats 4 mo. That is terriable. Well its Nov.8th, no parts. Called again now they are saying tomorrow. Then have to make appt. for a tech. to come out, that cld be another 2 wks, assuming the parts actually get here tomorrow. Its been 5 mo. & all they say is sorry. Terriable for the customer. In short, horrible customer service and poor quality of furniture! We would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!! We bought a bedroom set for our master bedroom and a formal dining set back in November 2013 at the Burnsville location. We were told at the time that we would receive the furniture by Jan 22, 2014 and we would be contacted to set up delivery for the furniture. January came around, we did not hear from Becker so we called to follow up on our order. We were told that the bedroom set was ready for delivery but the dining set has been back-ordered to Feb 22, 2014. We arranged a separate delivery to get our bedroom set on Jan 25, 2014. Within two weeks, we found that two of the wood sticks on the platform of our bed frame were broken. We called the customer service multiple times to try resolving the issue. The customer service is a pain to even get through. We left message on the voicemail and it takes an average of 5-7 business days to receive a return call. Today, I waited over 30 minutes on the phone to finally talk to someone and found out that our dining set has been pushed back further. We are now looking at getting the dining table in March and the chairs are not going to be here until April!! There was never an apology what-so-ever, let alone any follow-up on our order. We went Becker Furniture World thinking that with the price we paid for the furniture, we would have a hassle-free experience and quality furniture. WRONG!! Customer service, delivery service and quality of furniture is the worst I have ever experienced. We went to Becker to find high quality furniture. We would have been better off going to a furniture warehouse and pay less as the furniture that lasted less than 9 months before falling apart. When shopping we advised the sales rep that quality was important. He recommended higher priced furniture brand over the one we were looking at stating the construction and mechanics were of better quality. They also recommended the extended warranty that would cover leather damage and any other issues.it came at a price but we were assured it would be worth it. . 8 months after the purchase the leather discolored to orange and the back supports completely gave out making the couch unusable. They told us we need to go thru the warranty Eben though it was less than a great old. . The warranty people came out agreed that the couch needed repair but would not replace it as Becker furniture said they would in case the couch had construction issues. They only ageed to send parts to fix the issues. 8 months and many phone calls later we still have not received the parts and have been without a couch for almost a year. We still have no resolution and calls to Becker have amounted to them not taking responsibility for the poor quality of furniture or making things right by helping resolve the extended time it has taken to get the parts to fix. Please do not buy from Becker. They do not stand by their products and the warranty they sell you can take up to a year to resolve. They simply said it was not their problem. So after a $3000 investment and 8 months waiting for them to fix without living room furniture that can be used or be proud of we are had to invest in new furniture from a reputable company that has integrity and employees that care about customer service. read more

At first everything was great and I would even say... almost perfect. The sales person was attentive, gave great advice, helped planned our rooms and really seemed like we were going to have a great shopping experience. Once all the items were purchase (i am talking 20k+ worth of merchandise) it all went to the waste side. We have been lied to, our furniture was suppose to arrive 9 to 10 weeks from order date and we found out in week 9 of 10 that our fabric we picked wasn't available at the maker and we could have up to another 4 week wait. Really? You find out in week 9 this?! COME ON. Communicate better with your suppliers and communicate appropriately. Not only that, we ordered our bed and come to find out that they missed ordering a piece of it that ALLOWS THE MATTRESS TO LAY ON THE BED. so we have a makeshift board right now holding our mattress up. Couple that with nickle and diming us for $50 for an 'extra' delivery. We feel duped. lied to and angry. We will definitely NEVER deal with Becker ever again. Horrible place to shop. Beware of their return policy! They hardly stock anything at the store. If you order an item as it exists from a normal supplier in their store's catalog, it is considered a special order and they will not return/exchange it. I expressed my concern that the night stand may be too big for the space and the sales rep never mentioned that there were no returns/exchanges on my purchase and the fact that it was a special order! If he had told me this, I would have waited on the night stand and purchased it later if there appeared to be room. Also, isn't a special order normally when you change something like fabric, order a non-standard size, etc? Not for them. It never occurred to me that i was special ordering furniture. It only took 2 weeks to deliver because the set is one the manufacturer makes in advance! I bought a bedroom set and the nightstand did happen to be too big for the space. They would not take it back. I had planned to shop for 2 more bedroom sets for our new house. I will be buying them elsewhere! read more

we have purchased twice at Becker Furniture. An Amish made TV stand, lamp table and coffee table, which we absolutely love and seems to be great quality. It is character cherry wood. Our salesperson said that they now filled in the cracks with some laquer or something so that it doesn't collect debris....but she was incorrect about that...or we got an older piece before they changed their methods. I was disappointed with that at first, but have grown to love the pieces anyway as they have more character. One table was missing one of the bottom nail in sliders....they sent me one, but was not the right size...I followed up once about it....but never got another reply. Figured it was easier for me to find it myself elsewhere. Just got a mattress from them.....little "snafu" there. They delivered the wrong mattress, but realized their error within the hour and came back with the correct one. In spite of the few issues we have had....we would still buy from them again as I believe their quality is good and they seem to have quite a lot of things that appeal to our sense of style and at a price we can afford. read more
