Memorial Day Friday, great opened at 3:00pm. Had a wonderful Bloody Mary & Beer Chaser. So Tasty. The Seafood Soup delicious, beautiful presentation. I had the 6 Periogis mashed potatoes & cheese with fried onion/bacon on top. Leftovers home. Next time the Cabbage Rolls, an absolute Favorite. Our Waitress so nice kind & helpful. Super friendly neighborhood bar/restaurant with their own special old fashions, great pizzas and fried chicken plus real polish dishes!!

Only our second meal here, but first Friday fish fry. Service was excellent. Serving fish shortly after opening at 3:00 pm. The fish was listed as deep fried white fish. What I was expecting was a chunk of fish breaded and deep fried. What I got was what appeared to be a filet of some kind of fish with a very thin coating. I prefer a chunk of fish with a crunchy coating. The filet had the distinct appearance of a fish about the size of a crappie. It was kind of mushy and not at all crisp. I learned my lesson. SO many great fish fries around including Culvers. Oh...another deal breaker...THEY CHARGE $5 FOR CREDIT CARD USE. Considering the charge for credit card use was instituted YEARS AGO and prices were adjusted then, this amounts to a $5 extra charge. I refuse to do business with a business that forces me to use cash. As much as it is their right to charge it, it is my right to not do business with them and to post it here. read more

We stopped at The Dellwood Pavilion for a pizza. The food was fine. When we were done eating, the waitress informed us that there would be a 20% credit card fee added to our bill. There was no mention of the fee on the menu nor was it posted anywhere before we ordered. We will not return due to poor business practices. read more

Almost passed by this one as past experiences have been good but not great. This was GREAT! First they were slammed busy. Families, tourists and regulars and the friendly gal behind the bar greeted everyone as they came in the door. Very efficient staff. Husband got the last beef stroganoff with asparagus and I got the last lightly breaded walleye. We didn't like our first choice of beer and it was cheerfully exchanged...no charge. Last night we went to 3 places to eat. 1st one was out of all most everything so we had a few appetizers and decided to go somewhere else for pizza. Stopped in with the family for dinner last n a Sunday night and it was quite. Of the five people there were two steak sandwiches ordered, a burger, broasted chicken that was the special for the night, and some type of battered shrimp. My wife and I were the steak sandwich orders. We were disappointed in the meal. The steak is served on a long roll and is hidden by how much bread there is. The steak itself was dry and thin. Too few mushrooms and a small portion of fries to accompany it. A poor selection from us. Bartender was helpful and gave good service. Not sure on the balance of the meals. The pizza has barely any toppings. The pierogis are not homemade. The gyros appear like they are not cooked on a spit. Its all kind of a ripoff of good Chicago style food, but not as good. The price is outrageous for what you get. You'd be better off saving money and buying frozen from somewhere and put in the oven. The owner is very arrogant and has a bad attitude towards locals. Also be careful in the winter as I slipped and fell on the ice on their stairs and sidewalk because nobody is maintaining them. read more

Our family was vacationing in the area when we came across this rustic looking place in the woods. We were there on a Monday night and there were people at the bar and some playing pool. It was a quiet night there. My family and I sat at a booth by the window. The owner was the only one working that night. He did everything there at the restaurant/bar. Served the people at the bar, served us and even cooked all the food there for us. He was moving and grooving all around the place the whole time we were there. I don't think I saw him stop once. He was very gracious and kind to us the whole time we were there. Even though he had others to serve at the bar, he never rushed us about our orders and our food came out pretty quickly considering he had to cook it too for us. My son and I had the steak sandwich and that was awesome. My wife had the hamburger and she loved it, as well. The restaurant/bar has a nice rustic feel to it in the woods. A nice family place to have dinner. Highly recommended from our family. Note: The only knock I would give is about ordering pizza during the week. My son and I wanted to order pizza that night and the owner/our server said they only serve pizza on the weekends. We could find nothing stating that on the menu. He may have told us that because he was short-staffed that night or it may be the truth. If so, it should be stated on the menu someplace because pizza is what they promote at their place. Staying at a lake house near by and our family was looking for a good place to eat that was open on a Tuesday night. Took the advice of previous reviews and were glad we did! We went in at 5pm so it was pretty slow, but got busier as the night went on. Service was great and so was the food. No kids menu, but it's pretty kid friendly regardless. We didn't try the polish food, but that's a must when we go back. Our party of 7 was pleasantly surprised, even the baby loved the mashed potatoes. Food, long waiting time. Not enough people to serve 300 plus guests. The New Year Eve party should be above average event, please consider making improvements overall for such a party. Also, seemed like DJ gave up after midnight and stopped entertaining, rather made people start leaving the place. And last thing, open bar should not charge an extra $5 for a upper shelf alcohol. Burger has upset my stomach for the past day. Service was very friendly but it took way too long to get a burger and meal. Small crowd of regulars at the bar we loud enough to make our conversation hard to hear. Cheese curds were outstanding! Prices were reasonable too. read more

We love this place, every time we go to the lake house we eat and drink here. They have a huge menu and everything is great, they also do takeout pizzas too. The Resturant is family owned and the owners are the best! There is actually two bars a Resturant and a banquet facility all in one building. Food was better than good. We had two boys that ate boneless wings and loved them. Cheeseburger was great, mushroom Swiss burger was good too. Beer was cold. Everything was above average for this area. No kids menu but we made do. Coleslaw was even good. Smaller establishment with 14 tables but i was pleasantly surprised! read more

This place has excellent food and a great menu, with plenty to drink, a pool table and casino games. It's the best place around! I ordered the cheesesteak and it was delicious. The owner was very friendly as well. I definitely recommend stopping in. read more
