Since I can not lift a desk up 3 flights of stairs, I had to pay a restocking fee of more than 250 dollars. I am so glad that Bed Bath and Beyond admitted that none of my "supposedly bought" furniture arrived to my apartment. Why am I paying a Return fee if none of my items arrived here. One shipping company called me on February 13th. Ceva Logistics shipping company called my son on his cell phone and told us that the furniture had not left the warehouse. Finally, someone admitted that our "supposedly bought furniture" was still on the shelf. Today, Bed, Bath and Beyond stated that they let me know about their shipping process before the purchase. Last week, Overstock stated that they email customers after the purchase was made because the phone clerks did not have time to read the terms and conditions regarding shipping. Which lie is correct??? ***************We maintain that we have been transparent about the shipping process since before the customer made their purchase. No item from this order was left in the streets, none left the custody of the shipper during this process other than to be returned. ******* The prior sentence was made, just now, by Bed Bath and Beyond. Bed Bath & Beyond used be this awesome combination of good inventory, great customer service, and an awesome return policy so you could buy with confidence. Something went south this past year with B&B&B. Their customer service is not even average any more, it's downright terrible. Rude and unhelpful staff and you have to practically provide a blood sample for just an exchange on a defective product, must less a return. I remember better times, when staff would go above and beyond to make sure their customers were taken care of. But after the most recent front desk rudeness experience, I gathered my sizable collection of all my 20% coupons I had saved and put them in the recycle bin. read more

I ordered two mirrors from BB&B. The price was mysteriously changed overnight! when I looJed the next morning, the price was higher! not only higher but with incorrect math. I called their so-called helpline and talk to someone in another country who argued with me for almost 20 minutes. I asked for supervisor and was told he was busy but would call me back. I said just cancel my order and she said she would try but not sure if she could do it. of course the supervisor never called me back and when I called again, the next person also argued with me and refused to let me speak to a supervisor telling me I didn't need to discuss it with anyone else. Again, I asked to cancel my order because I was overcharged. The next time I looked, I saw that the order was being shipped. Because I have to be returned at my cost, which will probably cost me as much or more than what they overcharged me. I am not sure what to do. This company has no one. You can talk to about your issue and from looking at reviews, they only resolve one percent of their complaints, I understand now why they filed bankruptcy. I guess people are sick of being ripped off! in my opinion this is fraud and downright extortion because if you send the item back that is overcharged you end up paying that money anyway. This BB&B store rates between 3 and 4 stars. I love BB&B in general. I always find what I need at these stores, or can order what I need, and I usually find a ton of stuff that I didn't know I needed until I saw them here (lol!). In other words, I'm a sucker for kitchen and bath gadgets, and doggie toys, and household linens, and water bottles for the gym. And more, so much more. But this store is smaller than many BB&B stores, and as such, doesn't have as much variety and inventory as other stores. Don't get me wrong, there's still a ton of stuff here. Just not as much as at other sites (like the Redmond store, which I frequent a lot). Still, there's probably more here than at other sites (such as the Bellevue Crossroads site). Hence, my average rating of this specific location. I also found this store more....messy looking than other sites. It just seems more disheveled, with items found placed on wrong shelves, on incorrect displays, in different areas than they're supposed to. I realize shoppers must move merchandise around a lot, but there's less attention to details and organizing sections by staff than at other sites. Today when I visited here, no one greeted me, no one said hi, I didn't see any employees on the floor to ask where I could find what I was looking for, and my check-out was business-like and perfunctory at best (no "DId you find everything you needed today?", "How is your day going?", "Thanks for shopping here!", or any other niceties). This is in contrast to my usual experiences at other BB&B stores. Sure, I still found what I needed here (and more), and the prices are very reasonable, and I love how they take multiple coupons (even if theirs are expired, they'll accept them). But I didn't have the usual fun and pleasant shopping experience I usually do at BB&B and, for that reason, I'm not sure I'd return to this site (given the opportunity to go to another site). read more

As a new homeowner, I have been spending endless hours shopping for random things I need for my new place. I enjoy coming to BB&B because they have everything! Like seriously, everything. It was a bit dangerous walking into the store mainly because I didn't have a specific list of anything I needed today. But I was killing some time waiting to meet a friend for lunch and figured I would stroll on in. They have so much to choose from and I'm a fan of how they rotate their holiday items through. My favorite section to browse through is the " as seen on tv" section. I have never actually purchased anything from that section but it's fun to see everything in real life and contemplate if you need anything. I was close to buying something from that section though! The staff is always really helpful at this location and I love that they always have items on sale or they are constantly sending you 20% off coupons in the mail. read more

We've shopped here for years and tonight I was told tonight that my in-store purchase would cost 25% more than if I had pre-ordered for pickup. Some of our items needed to be hand selected and could not have been pre-ordered. I asked to speak to a manager and while the person never introduced herself as such she told me that the 25% discount was to encourage people to order in advance. They were going to charge me to select my own items in the store?! I shared my disbelief and frustration with this hostile approach to trying to survive in a downward spiraling retail effort. I was speaking to the hand and being charged extra for the privilege. I left my cart and exited the store to end one of the worst customer facing retail jokes that I have ever experienced. Five reasons BB&B is better than Target: 1.) It has an amazing selection of non-essentials: cherry pitters, garlic crushers, apple slicers, wine vacuums, etc. 2.) Good deals on big-ticket stuff: For cookware, kitchen electrics, high-thread count bed sheets, etc., you need the 20% coupons they send in the mail. Armed with one of those babies, the prices on big-ticket items can end up being lower than Macy's, and sometimes even lower than Amazon. Catch something on clearance and it's even better. 3.) Plenty of employees around to help. 4.) It stocks quality brands like Oxo and Calphalon, instead of complete junk, like Target. 5.) The return policy is way better. read more

Their selection is slimmer than the Redmond Town Center store which is probably my big knock on it. Layout is good and staff is generally friendly and helpful. Thought the staff was wonderful! I bought a $200 "Back 2 LIfe" machine that is supposed to exercise your back and help with arthritis and back pain. Unfortunately, since I also have bad knees, I found I could not really use the machine properly as it hurt my knees. I took the machine back for a credit.. I could not snap apart the machine to put it back in the box. No Matter! The staff could NOT have been nicer, more helpful and gracious, even though I was doing a return. They were wonderful. They were curious as to why I did not like the back machine, but only because they wanted to be informed for any future customers asking if they knew of anyone's experience with it. The store has a huge variety of stuff, ample parking, and the staff was just great. I love that BB and Beyond stands behind products, gives a "no questions asked" and prompt refund with no hassles, and there was apparently no time limit on the return either. Overall: Decent well stocked store with good customer care We first came in here to get a few bits and bobs, mainly stuff that was missing in our corporate housing. They have the floor space/walls packed full of items/gadgets and well it seems everything. The layout of the shop is well thought of - you can walk around in a full circle and end up back at the front of the store/checkout. The walls are stacked high with items hanging from them, it's quite impressive the first visit - yes, I have lived a sheltered life! They have many kitchen items - cutlery, tableware, glasses, mugs, salad tongs, crockery and small appliances such as food processors, coffee machines, ice cream makers, gadgets etc. Then there is other stuff such as table cloths, napkins, tea towels and loads of scented candles. They also have clocks, frames, pictures, mirrors, curtains, vacuum cleaners, cleaning equipment and sprays and the list goes on. It's a great place to go just to get a few items for the house/apartment when first moving in. However, be sure to wait for the vouchers/coupons that constantly come through the mail for 20 % off. The customer service is great here, we bought a couple of lamps that were acting a bit strange, and they allowed us to exchange them with no hassle whatsoever. read more

The store itself is fine, but the front employees are horrible. Was standing in line behind two people and there were two cashiers up front. One was serving a guest, the other walking back and forth. When she saw that I was looking at her she motioned the other cashier as to ask if she should help the next in line. Seriously? You're doing absolutely nothing and you need to ask? The location, parking and the stock, all are good. The reason why I give 2 stars is for the horrible stuff! I wanted to purchase a Breville coffee machine, and already checked the situation that Gilman shop has in stock. So I am quite directly go to buy that item. But there is no new one I can directly take to checkout due to the high value. The only way I can do is finding an assistant. However I can't find any available assistance! Two of them are talking with each other and totally ignored my waiting and sign of helping. One is passing away even I showed I need help. Finally I catcher one and showed her what I wanted. She said she will help, then disappeared. After waiting 15mins, I have to bother the cashier. She said there is one Breville coffee machine here. But not my type, it is a lower style, I need an updated one. So she called the help continually!! 5 -10 mins later, god bless, one of the talking stuff come to help. For me, the best part about this store is the staff. In my experience they have been helpful, polite and seem to genuinely want to help you. I find that good staff can be a rarity in some places.
