Over the years, I drive further to Home Depot instead of Issaquah Lowes because they don't have knowledgeable people working there. Latest example, I need an exterior front door. I went to the door section at 10:30 AM on a Tuesday. There was no one around who could help me. I looked at the various door samples on display. No prices. I left and went to Home Depot. Two employees were helping me by setting up a measurement appointment and answering questions. The doors on display had prices so I could make a decision. On the positive side, Lowes Issaquah has people in the returns department at least. read more

I typically go to the Lowe's in Monroe, WA - where helpful well-informed staff are easy to find. Was in the Issaquah area today and decided to stop in at this Lowe's location. What a mistake. First, couldn't find a single person to help/assist - even answer a question. And when we did find one in the lumber dept, was given a vauge/general answer - "oh - it's at the back wall, maybe more to the left or right"....and that's it as they walked away. Two other employees passed by, and I asked them, but they claimed I would have to ask someone in the lumber dept. Wandered the aisles, searching and looking - went to several 'back walls' in the general area and in both directions. Still couldn't find what I was looking for (it was a smaller part). Went to the cashier in the lumber area who was helping a customer. I waited and waited and waited to ask him where to look, but the cashier was busy talking to not only the customer he just helped, but also two 2 other customers who had joined the discussion- not sure if it was sports related or what, but it certainly wasn't regarding stuff at Lowe's. I waited and waited, and finally interrupted and was given yet again, another general answer - "a couple aisles back somewhere down the middle of the aisle." By that time, I was tired and frustrated and left the store without purchasing anything vowing to never return to this Lowe's again. If you are going here, make sure you know what you need and where to find it, because trying to get help is virtually impossible. read more

I visited the other day to get some items to finish the landscaping in my yard and I was about to go up to one of the employees to ask where to find an item until I noticed he was stumbling around and bending over almost as if he was falling asleep standing up. He appeared extremely intoxicated. I walked away and just left the store and went to home depot instead because I found it very frightening. I believe the employees name on the badge started with a T. I think it was Trevor? Lowe's should really take a long hard look at who they choose to represent their company. Their home delivery system is awful. They set appt. Cancel via email. Two calls to totally ineffective associates who both promise a manager call back, neither called back. 2nd email with a new delivery time, and promise of email the night before, which didn't show up until a 3rd call for a manager. 3/4 way through 4 hr. delivery window, email saying product undeliverable. Next call to store, awaiting call back. They are a broken delivery system, don't use. read more

I been buying a lots of stuff from Lowes in the last 10 years and recently went there to buy some stuff for my business and I experienced a real bad time with one of the workers there he's name is Kevin while he was working with the forklift he got very angry and he started to yell slurs and bad angry words to us because we went close to the area he was working, He could just talk to us in respectful manner to stay away or wait a minute but that was not the case he asked me to leave the store and never come back. Bubbles is the only reason I shop at Lowe's! (I mean that.. I could literally go anywhere else for plants) but because of Bubbles every visit is a joy because of the phenomenal customer service she provides. I always end up buying more than I planned--because Bubbles is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also genuinely helpful and kind. First they lost my order- delivery team stole it. finally got a refund but it was short by $50, I used 2 gift cards but they only refunded 1. Had to drive to issaquah to get refund. while I was there I brought a 50 ft roll of wire it was priced a 2.49 a foot, but careless cashier charged me 5.26 a foot. I didn't notice the over charge until I got home. called customer service to discuss an they basically said too bad you paid the updated cost, nothing I can do about it. I went in to this location to get some deck parts they did not have the parts in the size I need. I was also looking for a couple compressor parts but not able to find the compressor section. I asked the manager of that tools section where I may find these parts he said the don't carry that item at this store location. The store was nicely cleaned and well organized. Their plant section is amazing! Was looking for a few indoor plants and their selection is actually very impressive. You can get large plants for $23 and smaller plants like Pothos for $9. Other 'boutique' places would sell the same plants 3x more. The outdoor garden section also has reasonable priced pots as well for the plants you might want to get as well. Same goes for soil and any other items you want to go along with your plants. Staff were very friendly and helpful when trying to decide which soil to get as well! If you're looking for indoor plants, highly recommend checking out their selection! Parking is huge and easy to find a spot. read more

I purchased a power tool during the aftermath of the bomb cyclone and attempted to return it after unboxing it the next day. I was sent away because the return systems were down with the power outage. I returned when power was restored and was immediately refused the return. I had to first call the manufacturer and then go to the Lowe's website to prove that we were within the return window to finally get a manger's attention. It was a poor customer experience and not in keeping with Lowe's policy. read more

Bought all new kitchen cabinets in March 2023. Kitchen was stripped and new cabinets installed. Half of the cabinets were ordered incorrectly, Lowe's mistake. We reordered and were promised fast delivery. At the end of July our kitchen is still non-existent and we still do not have a delivery date. Lowe's has zero sympathy or urgency and apparently doesn't understand having no kitchen for 4 months comes with some challenges. I will update my review if this ever gets resolved. read more

This is a PSA post, consumers need to know this: I've been a Lowe's customer for a number of years. I prefer to shop here rather than Home Depot, whenever possible. Today I learned that even with receipt or proper credit card, they will NOT take returns past 90 days. This is really frustrating when you have a project where supplies are needed and you buy extra to not slow things down. I was bringing back some perfectly packaged concrete mix and they won't take it back; it could literally go back on the shelf. So the next time we have a fast moving project, my materials purchases will all be made at Home Depot. read more

I stopped in Issaquah Lowe's to check out and possibly purchase a particular dishwasher. In spite of a barrage of customers that seemed to show up all at once, Justin in the Appliance Dept. provided personable, knowledgeable and patient customer service to customers as well as coworkers who had questions. He was unflappable and efficient. Everyone was "attended to" thanks to the excellent service provided by Justin and others in the dept. I had the best customer service with Kathy from this store location. I had received a "store cash card" on a return that I had made but when I went to use it at another store, I was told it was invalid and had to "pay for all of the merch even though I had a store credit." I went to Issaquah where the card was issued and Kathy was able to figure out what had went wrong (my id had been typed in inaccurately) and she was able to fix the entire mess. I was trying to write to Lowes about the exceptional service she provided but my "code from the receipt was expired". Please know that Kathy was amazing and so very patient and helpful as well as creative in helping to resolve this. I appreciate the service more than you can imagine. Give this girl a raise! Lowe's Home Improvement - Nobody... - Hardware Stores Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

I placed an order for a new OTR Microwave w/install on 1/11/2025. I was told it would be delivered on 1/21. On 1/18 I received an update that said it would be delivered on 1/31. Fine, I was patient and we waited. NO other communication. I called the store on 1/31 to find out about installation only to be told that my microwave was in a distribution center a little over an hour south of me. I was told that it would now be 2/3 before I can get my oven. I then was transferred from customer service in my local store to an installation coordinator who then transferred me to another customer service rep in the Carribean, who then transferred me to another installation coordinator (Kim) who hung up on me. I then called the store back and was told, too bad, soo sad, there's nothing we can do. This has been a frustrating experience that could have been avoided if someone would have taken ownership of the issue and done something, ANYTHING to help. And then updated me at least saying that they tried. read more

Even though my home improvement project was a disaster, Lowe's customer service was appreciated. I had the worse home improvement project (replacing an external door) experienced with Lowes located in Issaquah (Store #140). My external door was ordered on September 2020 and paid in full. The first door Lowes delivered was incorrectly measured. The door jamb width was 2 inches too wide, so the installers was not able to install the door. It was returned to the manufacturer. The second door was ordered and when I checked for status this week. I was told the glass had a crack and needed to be returned to the manufacturer. My wife and I recognize that these were the manufacturer's issues. Through this time, Mr. Josh Fledderman, Project Specialist at Lowe's Issaquah (#140) was very helpful and patient, while providing me status on my door project. You did not ignore my request. He tried to contact the manufacturers for status. His customer service is exemplary. Lowe's should acknowledge his great work and how he maintained excellent customer service. read more

The Issaquah Lowe's is a decent hardware store. It is near Costco so it is convenient, parking is plentiful and it never seems to be very busy. It is kind of ghostly shopping in there actually. The selection is comprehensive and similar to what you would find at Home Depot. Though I would say to go to Home Depot if you can. The service is better there as they are a bit more friendly and more well staffed. Home Depot also has the self checkouts, whereas Lowe's does not. Though those three things are really the only items that I find separate the two chains as they are quite similar in regards to price and selection. It really is a matter of preference like Coca Cola versus Pepsi. read more

I recently moved to North Bend from Tacoma. In Tacoma Lowe's was my go-to hardware store. Not perfect but better than Home Depot with friendly and helpful associates. I've found the exact opposite in Issaquah and have changed allegiances to Home Depot or even Ace Hardware. Specifically, It was hard for us to get help on multiple trips for blinds. We eventually placed a custom order blind that took 20 minutes to complete - ok, no problem. They were on sale for 25% off. Good deal, right? Pricing didn't jive with what was on the floor but we were tired of the process and agreed to $400+ for one large custom blind with all of the special features that would be just what we wanted. It arrived a couple of weeks later but was not what we ordered. Unfortunately we trashed the old blind when we went to install the new one and going without one isn't an option. We didn't catch that it was wrong until it was installed. Multiple calls to the store and the guy who helped us eventually called us back and explained they made a mistake in the order and that it would cost an extra $250 (now $700 total for the single blind) to get what we wanted. No way. It was a stretch at the original price. Not worth it. Eventually the associate agreed it was their mistake and we wouldn't have to cover the added cost. He needed a few day's to figure out how to place the order. That was 4 weeks ago. No call back. So, today I try calling the store and never got an answer when I tried to get through to the right department. After 3 tries spread 10-20 minutes apart, I try customer service. Again, 3 tries but someone finally answers and transfers my call - it is answered but she's busy and wants to call me back in 5-10 minutes. That was an hour ago and I've just had it. I will try customer service at the store one more time to talk to the store manager but then I'm calling Lowe's corporate customer service. This store is not a good representation of what I've experienced at multiple other Lowe's stores - I see most other people agree it isn't good and I hope they eventually improve. I can't imagine they will remain open if the service remains so poor. read more

If I could put a ZERO rating I would. Tried for 20 mins, 3 phone calls, all to see if they had an item. Went through the menu items, got an associate to be transferred to, rings forever then hangs up. Called back yet again to get the Store Manager, and after yet another 5 mins going through exactly the same menus, associate, transfers....only to have the system hang up again. I know times are tough, but to piss off customers in this manner seems to be a self-inflicted problem... I guess I will spend my money somewhere else, like Home Depot or Amazon. read more

Of course the line I was in had a customer who wanted to purchase an unusual item with the label scratched off ... Finally went back to customer service and asked one customer there if I could cut in front to pay for this $10 item. On another recent trip I bought a brand of window fan that amazon didn't sell. Worst customer service experience ever. Ordered cabinets in May 2023. Half of them came in wrong due to an error in their ordering. It is now almost August, 4 months later, and I am still waiting for my reordered cabinets to be delivered with no ETA. Meanwhile, I have half a kitchen with no countertops and they have offered nothing to fix the problem, even after multiple requests. There is no sense of urgency to get this resolved. I would highly recommend finding another company unless you want to be stuck in limbo forever with little to no response from the project managers on the project. read more

Order online for deliver to your home if you need something bulky that isn't easily purchased in store. Avoid in store pickup at this location. I was in the store on a Saturday and saw a product I wanted to purchase on the top shelf (accessible only by fork lift). I looked around for an employee who could get the product for me and nobody was to be found. Long lines and the checkout and customer service. I gave up. I didn't need it until the next day so I decided to return home and order online the next morning. I'd just wait until I got the email that my order was ready for pickup and head in. Should have been a good plan, right? I ordered the item at 10:30am on Sunday. Three hours later still no email that my order was ready. I called customer service and was informed the person who picks these orders just got in and she would have him work on my order. I thought that's fine. I can wait another half hour or so. 90 minutes later still no notification. It was not only a couple hours before the store closed so I called again. The customer service employee started dropping excuses. We're short staffed. We only have one person. We're still picking orders from yesterday. You name it. All of these reflect poor operational management and an inability to handle demand that almost any other company can handle. I asked if I could just come in and if they would be able to process the order then. She said they could so I headed in. When I got there about an hour later still nobody had touched my order. The customer service employee was nice and immediately began picking my order (only three items, but one needed a forklift). 20 mins later she returned with everything and I was able to leave. I added one star (from 1 to 2) because I was expecting more friction when I got to the store, but an easy 5-star experience is only 2 for me because the store was unable to staff a predictable online order operation and all I got was excuses when asking. Be careful when ordering from the Lowe's website and selecting this store to pick up your items. It may be a much longer wait then you expect. read more

He went on to say that African nations are refusing the vaccine because of those materials. I'm not sure what provoked his comments as we try to avoid controversy. I have always had great things to say about this store until this year. I spent thousands of dollars remodeling my kitchen exclusively with products from Lowes. I purchased a stove and microwave within a certain timeframe to use a promo that they had going (prior to the remodel beginning). I purchased online and went to pickup when I purchased my cabinets and countertops. Due to the remodel timeframe, the oven was not opened to be installed for 2 months. When we opened it, we found out that it wasn't even close to the oven I purchased...different brand, it was a wall mount and I ordered/ modeled my kitchen for a one piece stove/oven combo. A Lowe's associate loaded this into my trailer and I didn't think to double check that they were giving me the product that I purchased. I As soon as we realized that it was incorrect, we brought the oven back to Lowes. I explained the dilemma to the appliance manager, Tatiana. She immediately, more or less, told me that I cant exchange the oven for the one I actually purchased because I was outside the 48 hour return window. After going back and forth with her for a bit, she essentially told me that she didn't believe me because there was no proof that they loaded the oven OR that I made an additional large purchase that day because the associate that rang up my cabinets didn't enter my phone number and told me he would have to ring everything up again to add it to my Lowes membership. At the end of the conversation, she assured me that she would call me back after she reviewed their inventory as well as their cameras. That was a week ago yesterday and I havent heard a word. On Thursday, i called the store and spoke with the manager and he said he would speak with her on Friday and then call me back. That was 4 days ago and I havent heard a word. I'm going to continue up the chain of command because I am out $1000 and stuck with an oven that I cant even use! read more

Don't buy appliances here. As written to Lowe's customer service: Our refrigerator was scheduled for delivery today and did not arrive. The original delivery window was 12-4 pm. Yesterday, I received a message and email that delivery will be in the morning instead. I called our store and requested that it not be delivered in the morning, I was unable to receive it then. The manager on shift (Mike), said that he will put in a note to have our delivery be the last one of the day. Today, the delivery person called at 12:10 pm and said they are arriving in 5 minutes. I said that I am supposed to be the last delivery of the day, and he said ok. When the delivery did not occur by 5:30 pm, I called back to the person and he said that I should speak with Lowes, my refrigerator is with them. I tried to contact my store and was put on phone hold for over half an hour, before giving up. I went over to the store and they notified me that my delivery had been cancelled (???) and that I need to reschedule. Instead, I will be cancelling the purchase. read more
