They chipped a piece on brand new cabinets, which they took off to fix (delaying completion by about a week) and they wanted my final payment before the cabinets were even repaired. These were all things that I found as the client. I would expect that they held their installers to that standard. I definitely felt like I was the inconvenience when all of this happened to me. I was in the market for a kitchen, master bath, and floor remodel in my home. I have lots of…read morefriends in construction, but I was wise enough to know better than to hire "friends" to do the job. I am extremely picky and OCD when it comes to detail and cleaning. I used Better Business Bureau to find local remodeling companies. I did this because I trust the BBB and I wanted a company which I would not pay if the job was not completed in accordance with the contract and my expectations; also, another reason to not hire a "friend." I called several companies and among all my projects, I had 11 quotes. I did not choose the cheapest. I chose the company that was the most responsive and seemed eager to do my work. I am glad I did. I choose Tile Metrics, located in Oviedo. I went to the shop and met with staff. My wife and I were able to choose all our products from this location. The store seems small and quite busy. Don't let that fool you. They have so much product and ideas to offer. Now to the important part. From beginning to end, the company stayed in contact with me. They emailed and sometimes called me almost daily to coordinate work, projects, and keep me informed. This was exactly what I wanted. They are also a one-stop shop in that they do almost all the work themselves. No separate contractors to deal with, just one single point of contact. Most of the work was done by an in-house crew, which if you do not know, is very important. The worker men that came to my house were clean cut, polite, professional, and did top notch work. Can you imagine having a remodel with almost no complaints? All you hear are horror stories about remodeling your home. Tile Metrics took care of everything. They did all the flooring in my house, including removing old tile and hardwood floors (dustless), new kitchen quartz countertops and back splash. Moved plumbing and electrical. Installed new toilets in 2 bathrooms. And a complete master bath remodel with everything new. The work was done quickly without delay. Once they started, they stayed on my project until it was done. For the parts of the projects they did not do in-house, the subs were equally good. As for price, they were fair and probably in the middle to lower end of all my quotes. I have no complaints, which is rare of me. I will be hiring Tile Metrics again in the future to complete more projects at my home, as soon as I save up more money.

Junior came out and met with us and somehow managed to translate my insane ramblings about shadowboxes and faux islands into exactly what I was wanting. He was able to make some recommendations for things I would have never even thought of (moving our stove down a few inches for extra drawers and building our fridge into the cabinets so we have more over fridge storage) and had our drawings to us immediately. He was up front about the pricing and we were able to pick and choose from options that met our needs but kept us within budget. The only real snag we hit was when my husband decided to go out on his own for places to buy granite from, but once we shopped from the list that Junior had given us things went a lot smoother. I was impressed with how organized everything was throughout the entire planning process. Junior gave us a timeline on when our work could begin and things went according to plan. The crew was friendly and worked really hard, they kept things as neat as you can expect from a kitchen remodel. Given everything I hear from other folks that have done kitchen remodels, I was braced for a lot of pain and delays, so I am pleased to report that things actually went faster than expected once I understood that the granite takes about a week to have cut after the cabinets are installed. He asked me to send pictures and measurements and that he would be out the next day. 30 mins before he was suppose to be there, he called with a price over $9000 the highest estimate that I received. We talked about differences, and I mentioned that we had terrazzo so we did not want tile. He did not know what terrazzo was. I told him thank you, I was not interested in the estimate and hung up. I am sorry but if a estimator/designer in FL does not know what terrazzo is, I have issues since this is the most common flooring that was used in the older homes.

"It's the summer in Florida and I have no access to running water in my house" I decried. As my family entered day 2 of waiting for an authorization approval I sought out real help. A professional that cared to have the staff and expertise available and willingness to offer emergency support services. Jeff's KB&B Plumbing was both the answer and the solution. They answered my after hours call on a Saturday morning. They had a courteous and professional team available to dispatch and diagnose the issues. Thereafter they solved the issue with informative diligence. Every step along the way I was updated. Moreover the fair and reasonable price I was quoted remained the same throughout the process. The plumber replaced the valve and performed by far the neatest work I've ever seen. I explicitly asked the plumber not to clean up afterwards to allow my children the opportunity to participate in the process, but he refused to leave a job undone and not as clean as possible. They told me they "didn't work on toilets like mine and I should just replace it." After they left, we had a mysterious flood coming from a broken valve at the toilet and we ended up with water all over our bathroom and into the next room. We called the emergency line 3 times and while the answering service answered, no one called us back. They denied any involvement in damaging the valve, refuse to fix it, and are saying they didn't do it and it was a coincidence that it happened to break after they were at the house. The only solution temporarily is to shut the water line to the entire house. We, therefore, cannot use water, have water under our wood floors, and wet drywall as well. We have used them for various projects over the last 13 years, referred many friends to them, and now we are left with a broken toilet, no water to the entire house (main water line needed to be shut off to stop the flow of water), and a small flood. Come to find out after the fact, 3 others that I know have also had bad experiences with them. After they refused the fix the problem, we had another company come out to fix their mess and, without hesitation, was able to fix the flapper without any issue as well as repair the broken valve. Both issues Jeff's KB&B said they could not do.

We got several quotes at different reasonable ranges but only Nelson (the owner) truly impressed us. We arrived after the store was closed (due to Google having incorrect closing times) but Nelson opened back up and stayed for over an hour consulting with us. Never once did he rush us or imply that he had other things to do. And this was before we even agreed to be his clients! No one else showed that level of professionalism. You can guess how the rest went so I will spare you the details. We gave Nelson's team a very short deadline yet they met it and the work is SPECTACULAR! we couldn't be happier. Now, that's not to say there weren't hiccups. However, Nelson immediately took the proper steps needed to resolve any issues that arose. Even more so, he was always polite, caring and honest.
