Having always shopped at Bed Bath & Beyond for myself and for others for gifts, I have always had a positive experience, however this past weekend, my fiance and I started our Bridal Registry and could not be happier with the experience of everyone we encountered at the Registry department but specifically Doug... he is Awesome!!!! Doug is extremely friendly, knowledgable, and made an overwhelming experience fast, easy and even made my fiance have a good time shopping! I am so happy that we had him as out assosicate as he took knowledge of the store and their products as well as personal experience and helped us make decisions... I just had a really bad experience with them and will never buy from them again. I bought an outdoor teak table late last night and immediately after placing the order, I saw that the table went on sale for over a $100 less than what I paid. Since it was rather late, I decided that the next morning i would ask for the price adjustment. I contacted them 1st thing today and they refused! The rep said NO even though an identical table was in my cart for $120 less! Unbelievable. They would not let me cancel the order and buy for a lesser price either. The rep refused to get a supervisor and pretended to ask for my call back number and disconnected before i had a chance to provide it. Never will i buy from them again. 5 out of my 7 items I ordered for store pickup were out of stock and cancelled when I got there. Why they say in stock when I order them online is a mystery as to what happened to them once I get to the store. Store managers were very rude and unhelpful Said when you pick up items don't expect them to be there most get sold out and cancelled! Said to have shipped I said I didn't want to pay shipping bc last time I did shampoo leaked all over my items. Large BBB. Near Ikea and the Christmas Store. Traffic can be horrendous in this area, so come early and leave early. Like all BBBs you will likely find what you are looking for. My new strategy in this chain is to simply ask the associates for what I'm looking for. Otherwise I spend a lot of time walking the aisle I find. Parking is good here if you are early. Later in the day it will get you a 1000 steps closer to that 10,000 a day goal. read more

I love that Bed Bath & Beyond provides free gift wrapping station as it's a lot easier and cheaper than going out to buy some for parties. Also, a big fan of the ability to print the registry at the store and easily know whether or not it's in stock and which location. Yet, even with such good directions, I often need the staff to help and they are more than friendly. I had one poor girl practically doing my shopping for me after I told her which items I wanted. Yesterday when I came with my family, they were having a clearance and lots of the items in that section appeared to be opened and sorted through. Further into the store, there were samples of coffee and tea and demonstrations of how to use a soda stream machine. It seems people have figured out there is free coffee because when my father and I walked by, there were a lot of people helping themselves. The store itself seemed filled with customers, and it felt surprisingly cramped for me so I didn't want to explore much longer. read more

Came into this bed bath and beyond tonight to get an item that wasn't available at the fashion center location . The experience was fine and employees seemed to be on top of there game. However this review specifically talks about the maintenance issues happening at this location. This bed Bath and beyond is connected with a Christmas tree shops as well. The maintenance issues I wanted to talk about specifically is the fact that one out of the two elevators was out of order. Which means if this doesn't get fixed before the weekend you can expected long lines for one elevator. The cart Escalators have been put out of commission. Lastly some structural issues with the garage cause an entire corner of it to be closed losing access to an elevator near the store in the parking deck. This is truly unacceptable and these maintained issues need to be fixed by Black Friday otherwise there is going to be some serious problems with customers getting in and out of Bed Bath & Beyond and Christmas Tree Shops. Also a tip of advice please reactivate the cart escalators because if you do not then your going to have a serious problem with elevator lines forming and I think if the cart escalators are put back into service it will mean less people with carts in elevators and more room for moms with strollers in elevators. I hope the general manager of these two places take my suggestion seriously because it will certainly give the location more revenue if these problems are fixed quickly! But I will say the employee who work here are very nice and are doing there job as there supposed! This includes Christmas Tree Shops as well! read more

Huge Store Lot's Of Beyond Nice Staff You can find a great selection at this location so have some time to spare. The layout is decent, but at times a bit counter-intuitive. The covered parking is always a plus. I found the pricing a bit high however, the all under one roof convenience is a fair trade off for me. The staff is very helpful, I dealt with several different sales associates all went out of their way to help me find the items I was looking for in a cheerful manner. One caveat is the clearance items are marked with inaccurate reasons for the mark down. For instance a clothing steamer was marked "packaging" but the water leaked out of the tank rendering it trash, not an isolated incident. No problem returning it other then the inconvenience, be aware you have about a 60% chance of buying useless junk if you take this route. I like the concept of this store. read more

Well, as a 28 year old new home owner, I basically live here. Sad to say, but I am here at least once a week. On that note - I come here because the prices are incredible (only place that can compete with Amazon) and they have everything. If I want to buy a refill of CO2 for my soda stream machine (which I also purchased at BB&B) along with a new pillow and some liquid soap - this is the place to do it. This BB&B is conveniently located at the cross of Route 17 and Route 4 right next to a Christmas Tree Shops and Ikea. There is ample free covered parking. BB&B is completely laid out on one level. This store is much more spacious than the ones in NYC. Don't forget that they are closed on Sundays. I was here on a week day after Christmas and the place was a buzz with staff redesigning the layout and putting all of the holiday stuff on deep discount. The store was not particularly crowded but I can imagine it would be on Saturdays in particular. Even though I was second in line at checkout, it still took about 10 minutes to process the transaction ahead of me. I guess she felt guilty because she gave me one of her expired 20% off coupons that BB&B is famous for accepting which brought my originally priced item down from $5.99, on sale for $3.99, purchased for $3.41 including tax. I finally found an ornament that I have been searching for to commemorate 2012. They were right next to a few beautiful Swarovski crystal commemorative swimming swan ornaments on the newly organized priced to move shelving up at the front. Customer service need salespeople training. I had horrible experience, long lines, long wait! Young 17 year old accuses me of being rude. Continues to yell at me while the manager tells ME to lower my voice! Me not the 17 year old customer service rep. I know she's 17 bevaause the manager told me but that's not the issue. The is due was train your salespeople to respectful. The manager said he would speak to her. I know he won't because the training she already had didn't indicate her inappropriate behavior. We continue to see poor management and blame customers not their employees. Take your business to another BBB. read more

The excuses they gave were "we will go check" and "someone will be right with you" but the person who went to check went to the back and 20 minutes later never came back out. BEST BB&B EVER!!! This place is amazing. They have a HUGE international food and coffee area. They have all the Keurig K-cup flavors and you are able to sample them! There are even stools and high tables to sit down and enjoy your complimentary sample beverage. This is not like any other Bed Bath and Beyond that I've been too. The store is huge. They have a Harmon Face Values inside. They carry some really unique items. The downside of this store is that it's located next to IKEA and you have to take the elevator up from the parking lot. Anything associated with IKEA is a zoo, particularly on Saturdays. That said, if you happen to be making the IKEA pilgrimage, this is certainly worth the stop. You'll find merchandise here you won't find in your local strip-mall Bed Bath and Beyond. This is a great store. read more

I really like this store. Ive been coming here for a long time. About a year ago, they piloted a new area 'pantry' items like spices, snacks, oils, chips, cookies. These items are of Whole Foods & Trader Joe quality. I usually shop around & get something new. The other day I picked up a sun-dried tomato cheddar cheese...it was great when I melted it on my burgers! They also have a huge coffee & tea selection where you can try different coffees and espresso machines. Finally, they have a Harmon store within this store, so if you need to pick up any toiletries, its a one-stop-shop for almost anything thats home related. read more

I'm more of a Beyond shopper, I like the kitchen tools & gadgets. It's great that you get to use expired 20% coupons. I prefer coming here on weekday evenings, smaller crowds, better parking and more involved customer service. Largest Bed Bath and Beyond in the area, even has a gourmet food area where you can buy a $16,000 cappaccino machine if you make a billion dollars and have need for such a mockery as a stocking suffer. If your wife is asking for it, I hope you got a prenub. For this reason the store is great, nothing like window shopping at a place knowing you can't afford it. I came in to exchange a soda stream CO2 bottle for the first time ever. I picked up a bottle at the display. There were no directions at the display, but the bottle just said to go to the store and exchange it there. I took the bottle to the register and waited 10 minutes in line. This is really the bad part of this store. It takes forever. I get to the cashier who was not familiar with the exchange, and had to get a manager. No big deal here, but the manager tells me that I have to go to customer service. I get to customer service and wait another 20 minutes, and the same manager who told me to come over opens a register there as I am next in line and helps me. This could have been a much simplar process by giving cashiers the ability to check me out with the exchange. Or, by having the manager service me right away. read more

I went to return a pot that was purchased at the Ramsey, NJ Bed Bath and Beyond in a box that had the sticker of the company on it but had no receipt. The person who claimed he was a manager said although the price in the computer was $11 less than I paid ) and I was prepared to accept) said he could not give me a refund, store credit but offered me the number in Australia to contact the manufacturer. Amazing. This is the best Bed Bath and Beyond around. Where to start... Ok with the huge coffee and international food section. There are Keurig sampling stations with almost every coffee they make. You get a full cup folks, and they have a station with milk, sugar, you name it. And let's not forget the coffee bar. Have a Keurig machine? I've never seen so many varieties of K cups. They also have an in house Harmon discount. So you can get your whitening toothpaste while you're here. Oh, and they accept not only Bed Bath and Beyond coupons but also Buy Buy Baby (at Harmon Stores as well.) And don't toss those expired ones- they take 'em past the expiration date. This store was fine with me, all the negative reviews seem personal. I walked into the store and was greated by a friendly GUIDO looking guy at the door, said hello and offered me a cart or basket. Employees were as helpful as they can be, I mean some of the responsibilty is on me when Im shopping, but the store was clean and stocked. Got what I needed and left. Only draw back was the customers and how filthy they are leaving empty coffe cups all over the store and in the parking lot. FROM ONE BRIDE TO THE NEXT... DO NOT REGISTER HERE! I'm far from a 'Bridezilla' but I had my very 1st mini-meltdown this past Sunday at this particular Bed Bath & Beyond. I went to return a fine china place setting that was delivered to my home in pieces due to poor packaging. Upon arrival, I was told 'we don't have this anymore' from a Customer Service rep and was offered a $70.00 gift card (it cost $89.00 a setting). Apparently, the china I chose along with a majority of the other items on my registry were no longer available for purchase. My shower is on Sunday and I won't be getting any of my china, my sheets, luggage, pots & pans etc. I can only hope that my guests were smart enough to purchase the items from another store that carries them as opposed to giving me gift cards from here. This was by far the WORST experience I've ever had with Bed, Bath & Beyond. I can't believe I wasn't notified about this the way 'Crate & Barrel' send notifications. I wouldn't recommend this store to any bride to be! The treatment I received in person from "Customer Service" was absolutely unacceptable. The only reason I give two stars to this review is for a lovely gentleman who worked at the front of the store who offered to grab me a cart when I walked into the store initially with my two small children to make a return and to exchange soda stream gas cylinder.After that the customer service vanished into thin air. What should have taken 5/10 minutes took over half an hour. The line for returns was very long and two customers who were being served were having an issue, the store supervisor ( as I later found out who she was) was around there and witnessed the line and the fact that the regular checkout lines were ridiculously long but only two registers were open, and did nothing to expedite service for waiting customers. About 10/15 minutes later when my turn finally came, Wilma behind the counter did my return, and when I asked her about exchanging the Soda Stream cylinder, she informed me that they didn't do it behind the register any more. No problem, I said, where is it? In the back, she said. My kids are standing around me, Tired and wining.. I asked, if I go back there quickly and grab one, do I have to go back in this long line? Without a blink of an eye, Wilma said "Yes, you can stand in line again"... or go to any other register ( the line at the register was even longer than for returns at that point). The attitude she said it with was through the roof. My 9 year old son even offered to run to the back to try and find the gas cylinder but I didn't feel comfortable sending him there alone. Not a blink of an eye from Wilma! Went to the back of the store, stood in yet another line with two tired kids for checkout..I will avoid this store like a plaque from now on, unless I hear that they cleaned up their manners and hire competent and polite customer service staff ! When I walked in here, I had to pick my mouth up off the ground. I never seen w bed and bath so big. The ones by me are much smaller. Not only that, they have same for u to try. Then for people who like coffee, there is a sample station and a bar to make your own. So many choices of k cups for us to sample. The staff is nice and helpful. I also love the line to the register. U have to wait till the machine tells u which register to go to. Nice store. read more

Maybe it's just me, but this place seems to be a lot bigger than the other stores in our area. Or perhaps they have more of their stuff crammed into it. Who knows! It's not a bad store, I like this one better than the one by the Fashion Center. The coffee bar adds a nice little touch, along with their pantry aisle that they have. I ran into the usual cheerful people asking me if I needed a hand. I was really impressed by their coffee and tea selection though, it's better than all the other stores in the area. Do not go here on Saturday! I thought WalMart had a reputation for long checkout lines, but what I experienced tonight can easily make it into the Guiness Book of World Records. 6 PM on a Saturday I entered this store. I knew exactly what I wanted, found it in under 5 mins, and proceeded to the checkout lanes. I would end up not leaving the store until 6:50 PM - 45 mins later. Obviously the store manager and employees could not care less about the wait because half the registers were not even staffed during the busiest shopping day of the week. The ones that were, had at least 5 - 6 people each waiting. So I picked a lane that I thought would move fastest - boy, was I wrong. 5 mins into my long wait, the cashier picks up the phone and calls for assistance from someone in the "south side" of the store. You'd think someone would come over and respond in a reasonable amount of time? No. She called another 5 times, waiting at least several minutes between each call, before I had it and switched to another lane. There, I was 3rd in line, with someone already present at the register. This imbecile was rummaging through what must have been 100 coupons she had stashed in her purse, trying to find the correct one, while the rest of us waited. 5 mins later the next person in line begins checking out her cartload of merchandise. This amazingly takes the cashier 10 - 15 mins to scan it all and remove the security tags. She also has to call for assistance multiple times. By then, the people behind me and the person in front of me had already dropped their merchandise and exited the store - I doubt they'll be back. In fact, I noticed many people doing just that, grumbling on the way out about the ridiculousness of this all. I would have done the same, but I thought I'd stay just to see how long it really takes to complete a checkout at Bed Bath & Beyond. And the answer? 45 minutes. Went to buy a new keurig. Since my old one stopped working. Stepped into "keurig world" and was greeted by Christine. She was amazing friendly and very informative. She took her Time to explain every machine and guided me to the perfect one for me. I explained how my old one wasn't working and then showed me the cleaner that will fix my old one. Best customer service I have ever experienced. I bought my entire fine China set from BB&B. Out of all 16 sets, one set was broken. Unfortunately, they do not stock it in the store. After the 3rd time I received it broken, I went to the BB&B in Paramus at Ikea Drive to exchange it. That is where I spoke with a manager named Tom. I was so annoyed that I had to come back a 3rd time, but Tom made it extremely easy for me. He located a store that actually had it in stock, picked it up and I was able to pick it up the next day at the Paramus location. Tom was so patient with me and helpful, he went above and beyond!! When I arrived the following day to exchange my dishes, Diana remember me and made the exchange seamless! I couldn't be happier now that I have my complete set. Kudos to Tom!! read more
