I was with my Mom and we were doing some hardcore shopping that day. We had 2 carts and were there for food and Christmas items. My Mother had a big old Walmart in Owatonna MN but we went to Rochester for a trip so here we are. This Wall mart was lay ed out so wonderfully, great site lines and access to the merchandise and displays open and easy get to the items you needed. I think it made the shopping experience so much better we bought more. When we hit the grocery items they were presented so well I was blown away as if I was in a Lunds or Byerly's. I am a fussy shopper on brand and quality so I was impressed. Ethnic food option was outstanding!! I would suggest this model to all Walmart's Oh one more thing the electronics area.... 5* had electronic items I had been looking for that I had not found in other places....

There is a plaza of box stores in the southern part of the city. I walked into this Kohl's, loved everything about it, and have been a fan ever since. I recently returned to reminisce and shop. I parked and walked in. It felt the same, except that the merchandise is different... haha! If you love discounted items, you want to shop here. This store has one of the better sections for heavily discounted goods, from clothes to jewellery, that you'll find. There was still a section on discounted Christmas clothes. Prices were 70% off the ticketed price. I also found a pair of Mickey Mouse stud earrings for $10. They were originally $50, which I would never buy at that price. Kohl's was having a semi-annual bra sale. I couldn't find a purple bra in my size at the Eagan store. I found it here. I immediately snatched it up and was so happy. I lost myself in the kitchen accessories section. Oh, the memories of building my empty apartment kitchen with cool spatulas, mixing bowls, and more, and creating a happy, functional kitchen experience. It brought back wonderful memories. I had Kohl's cash to use. It was loaded on the Kohl's app on my phone. I went to pay for my items. The woman cashing me out was exceptionally patient and nice. I got her to scan my Kohl's cash. I then had to flip to my rewards barcode. She scanned that next. I then paid with a credit card. She was lovely. It was nice returning to the store that kick-started my love for Kohl's. After selecting my items, went to the check outs. The cashier was highly aggressive trying to get me to sign up for another credit card. I politely declined. He wouldn't stop and kept going and going. I almost left without my items because he was so aggressive. I don't need high pressure when all I'm trying to do is buy a few clothing items. Also, the fitting rooms are filthy.

My love for Macy's happened years after I had left living in Rochester. I like that there are always sales going on. Macy's ignited my love for Style & Co. clothing and Kipling handbags. I decided to check out this Macy's. I had never been since it became one. The women's washroom has a couch when you first walk in, which looked classy. The washrooms need better maintenance, though. The stall that I was in was great. I can't say the same about the one next to it. I liked the sale happening on ugly Christmas sweaters. 70% off them is a great deal if you plan on wearing it to the company Christmas party and winning the ugly sweater competition. There are a number of them that will get you that crown or tiara. I loved hitting the Kipling handbag section. It had heavily reduced items. I also saw a bit of a shift with its signature monkey, from the fuzzy one on each back, to silver ones. The fuzzy ones are iconic and cute. The silver ones are definitely easier to clean and maintain. I didn't buy anything, but I loved looking at merchandise that I like, including jewellery.
