My 92-year-old father and I placed an order with Bed Bath & Beyond (BB&B) for 3 barstools from their on-line store. Upon ordering, the website said if we ordered now, we would receive the order within a week. Early in April , we received 1 of the 3 barstools. We assembled it immediately so my Dad could start enjoying it. We noticed it had a tear on the arm. We called BB&B and reported the damage. The representative said he could send out "the replacement part" immediately. We were initially with their customer service. We could just replace the arm of the chair. Little did we know, a day later, the rep would send an email saying their partner was not able to send the "part"....would I like a replacement or a refund? We decided to keep the damaged barstool and wait for the arrival of the remaining 2 barstools. Later we were told the 2 barstools had been lost prior to arrival and they didn't have any more in stock. As soon as they became available, potentially in June or July, we would receive a new package tracking to update the delivery date. We waited patiently for the 2 missing barstools for 5 months as they strung us along. They finally let us know, by email advertisement, the barstools were back in stock, and we should begin shopping for them. Shopping for them? Where is the new tracking information they promised when the back-ordered barstools were back in stock? They were acting like they didn't owe us anything. All we requested was for BB&B to fulfill the order. In my opinion, once they charged my father's credit card for the 3 barstools, they had a contractual obligation to provide 3 barstools. Our inquiry, a few days later, revealed our request for the 2 barstools or a partial refund was denied by management. They kept giving us supposed options like a refund....but we could only get a refund if we returned the entire order. We couldn't return the entire order because we didn't receive the entire order; or we could contact the vendor and activate the warranty....but we couldn't activate the warranty when we only had 1 chair. Plus, once we attempt to communicate with the vendor, BB&B will exit the picture, along with the money they kept on the unfilled order. We continued to request escalation of our case to management. They continued to confirm the issue had been escalated. We don't believe it ever was. We believe we were in so-called negotiations with the Help Desk. Their final "offer" was to keep the 1 chair, which we already planned to do. If we didn't want the chair, we could throw it away or donate it. They said they would refund us our money....in the form of a store credit. We told them we were handing this situation over to the credit card company. We were done communicating with them. Customer service representative hung up the phone on me because I refused to repeat myself a third time. When I called back to explain to another representative that the 20% coupon off entire order was visible prior to paying but was removed prior to charging my card, the representatives lied and stated sale items can't get a coupon sale also (proof of lie attached). I told them I duplicated my efforts and can screenshot it taking off both discounts and the rep ignored me and kept lying. I asked for a supervisor and she came back and said a supervisor won't speak to me because prices change at random and they can't control that. The prices never changed in an hour. The 20% coupon simply wasn't applied. The resolution was for me to charge the entire order again & hope the 1st order from an hour ago doesn't ship from the warehouse & gets canceled. The attachments show that a sale AND coupon can be together. All I wanted was a credit for the difference of est. $59. I definitely wasn't charging over $1000 twice without a guarantee of a cancelation. read more

Those who know, know. BBB is always more expensive than necessary. We went looking for the egg crate mattress cover, simple right? Instead they had everything but. Ladies, NEVER take your husband! They are worse than the kids! Touching everything, wanting everything!!! Good location, loved the Ugg collection for bedding just didn't have King size, which is what we were looking for. Notified the store (via the link in the email) that we'd arrived. Within minutes a very friendly employee appeared with our items, placed them in our trunk & bidded us a farewell. Uncertain how a store determines and assigns curbside available parking, my recommendation would be that more parking be acquired, as the current number is limited. read more

My favorite store of all time is William Sonoma but as it relates to home stuff, I spend waaaaaay too much time in Bed, Bath and Beyond. I want to buy everything. The only negative is every Bed, Bath & Beyond that I have ever walked into smells like bug spray or a recently fumigated building. It literally makes me nauseated. Now with the face mask rules, my N95 actually filters out the odor so that I can shop in peace. In the past, if I could stand the noxious odor, I'd run in, get my item and run out. Worst experience EVER! Having spent over $400 in the store and looking to match a panel I purchased in another BBB store, THIS store refuses to honor the price that I paid just yesterday. I showed the receipt and everything. I will NEVER shop here again. What a waste of my time. What happened to price matching? No wonder they are struggling to stay in business. Yesterday I visited the area not realizing I was parked in a spot that was for curbside pick up around 7 when bed bath and beyond closes at 8 knowing nobody was coming a lady come knocking hard on my window. Did not properly introduce herself with an attitude asking me to move my car I asked her nicely not to do that and she replied with "well I didn't knock hard" she clearly did not care for my personal boundaries and I felt very uncomfortable. What made it worst I was not the only person parked in the spot but she only said something to me. Very rude and disrespectful! Great store with awesome customer service! We were greeted immediately upon entering the store! We had a return and the cashier was very polite in asking the reason for the return and just very friendly in general. I was also looking for some storage options and another sales associate (floor) greeted me asking if I needed help. He not only pointed me in the right direction, he led us to what we needed in its exact location! Check out was fast and easy! Another courteous cashier checked us out. After IKEA and many other stores on the way to make my brother a place worth living in, Bed Bath is the place for all the things you want to be quality. So be prepared to pay some decent $$$ here, but be prepared to get the quality. Vacuums, Bed sheets, pots, kitchen tools and all the rest, this is the place to get them. We also got new coffee machine that was on a sale (We saved like $40 on it and we didnt even plan to buy it here). Store is big, can take them a while to assist, but once they do you will get the best service. Also, check out their discount coupons. Because of medical issues I cannot wear a mask. As a result, I have been taking advantage of shopping online with curbside pick up. Yesterday I placed an order prior to the store opening and was informed my order would be ready within two hours. At the three hour mark I called the store and received excuses. A manager took my call and claims she was pulling my order as we spoke. She disconnected the call and did not call back. At around the fifth hour I received a message that it was ready for pick up. I arrived at the store and checked in. After 20 minutes, a young man comes outside looking lost and approached another vehicle and offered my purchases; I had to call him to my car. Additionally, I was supposed to receive some $10 off bonuses based on my purchase, I did not receive them. read more

My daughter and I were doing dorm shopping for her freshman year in college. We sifted through the store, overwhelmed by the choices and the many decisions we needed to make. We passed a display showing several colleges and their dorm requirements, but the most interesting thing we learned from the display was that we could select items and have them picked up at the store near her new school! We were directed to an associate to assist us and Justin was awesomely helpful! He walked us around as we scanned items and helped us think of so many things she would need and we never even considered! I can't wait to pick up her items when I drop her off at college! All she has to do is pack her suitcase and the rest will be there waiting for her! I would recommend this method of dorm shopping for everyone! read more

I have explained to Customer Service that my 20% coupons have not been coming to my house since I've relocated. They are unable to assist me. This store definitely needs to be reevaluated when it comes to managment! I was in the Waldorf location yesterday, lines galore and only had 2 registers open. People were complaining and, the employees were just standing around, doing nothing! Further more, their customer service was horrible! I felt like I was bothering these employees. I was there purchasing and, patronizing their store which, gives them a reason to be there, they have a job! I love Bed Bath And Beyond but, almost don't feel I want to return to this particular store for future purchases, I'll just go to Target, they are always friendly. I just feel, if you don't like your job, get another one and, get out of a field you have not business being in to start with which would be the field of customer service!
