Maybe being able to drop off the dogs before the customer starts working is not a concern for the owners of BBB, but it is for the customer. Most people work 8-5 or 7-4 and being able to drop the dogs off before 7 is a big deal. The customer still has to drive to work and when BBB opens at 7:30, then we have to miss work or make a special time with our bosses. We sometimes go to Dogtopia because they open earlier, even though it is farther away. If another dog day care on 1097 opened before 7, we would probably make that change. read more

Placed both dogs in one area for two weeks. Wrote me a quote before I went out of town. Came back from trip to be charged 3 times the amount quoted. Instead of trying to solve the issue; the owners said they would call the police if I refused to pay. I told them to go ahead please. Then, they both said they wouldn't release my dogs unless I paid them. Mean, unfair. The wife quoted me one price before my trip and the husband demanded a higher price when I returned. I only had the quote on a sticky note she wrote on. They refused to accept it. Not happy. read more

Terrorists armed with hair clippers!! Customer service instincts of a prison guard. Absolute incompetence. Embarrassing to the business community. My friend dropped off her two schnauzers with the *manager* and told her she wanted the classic schnauzer cut which was already on file. The manager acknowledged the request. When my friend returned, they had shaved both schnauzers completely with a zero. It will take months for the dogs to recover. When my friend confronted the manager about this, her response was "I don't know what to tell you.. we can't put the hair back" as she charged my friend $100 for the service of mangling the two dogs. The manager's best offer, over the phone sometime later, was to credit a free haircut in the future... *As if* my friend would let these groomers ever get near her dogs with a pair of clippers again. God help these buffoons, cause no one on earth can. read more

I recently boarded my dog there for 3 days that seemed to go well. but their grooming is just not very good I ask for specific things that are not done. I asked for a groom and deshed I get her she is still damp with loose hair everywhere they said I only requested a deshed shampoo bath and nails I know what I asked for. this has been her 3rd grooming and not impressed read more

So today was the last straw with these folks. We've been taking Kona there since January, new to the area, for grooming and Boarding. Each time we've boarded the final bill has always been for a day more. We questioned but the "rules" always seem to change, once pick up at noon another time 2:00. Also... if they are closed for a holiday, well guess what, you get to pay for that day too. Plus at times I've packed extra food and gotten none back, then other times it looks like he was never fed as none was used. So fast forward to today.... Changed my schedule last week to make sure I got him there on time, Twice, had to go back today since their only groomer was sick those two days, and THEN today I was turned away since she said his rabies expired yesterday, my record indicate the 19th. Then proceeded to get an attitude because I didn't have a copy with me, never mind that THEY should have it on file. So she said she can't groom him! IF they had groomed him last week as was scheduled, it would have been before his mistaken expiration date for the shot. I will NEVER recommend this place. Liars, and horrible attitudes with poor customer service!! I'm surprised that they are still operating!! read more

This is the first "scathing" review I have ever written but here goes... I have two poodles and, being new to the area, brought them to Bed Bath and Biscuit. Their first groom from left a lot to be desired--I had to go home and do a lot of fixing myself. No big deal, I thought, it's gonna take a bit to work out the kinks (despite the fact that I provided pictures). So, yesterday we had our second appointment. I was asked and explained what I wanted and left feeling hopeful. One of my poodles was completely shaven down!! I did not ask for this nor did I give permission for it to be done. I have been growing his beautiful tail out for two years. GONE!! The groomer also shaved his ears and top knot off!! I was told he was matted and it had to be done (bull$#&@). He is a gorgeous little silver toy with a beautiful coat but right now he looks like a disobedient toddler got a hold of a pair of scissors and decided to give the puppy a haircut! I have had poodles for 20 years and understand that some grooms are gonna be better than others but these last two from BB&B are the worst we have ever seen. Currently, there are three different groomers. We have tried two of them. Not feeling lucky!! Bottom line, if your pooch needs a summer shave down, this is the place to go. If your pooch requires a skilled hand and a breed specific groom....keep looking!! P.S. This review does not reflect on their boarding or training services. I have not used either so have no opinion. I would like to address the issue of "ear packing"? I'm not sure what you are trying to say I told you about that bc the fact of the matter I have no clue what that even is! I mentioned his ears bc he has had ONE ear infection ONCE... And I believe that was in December 2013 Please call my vet and verify if you would like (409) 787-2113 He can also verify that he never said that "Lincoln must have picked up a bug at the kennel" bc obviously he wasn't sick when I brought him in.... Good- The staff treat all the animals incredibly well. They have extensive activities throughout the year available to help you bond with your pet. If you need doggie daycare, grooming, or boarding they have it all. I have taken agility and fly ball classes there with my both my dogs and I am thrilled they are so close to my house. The classes are never too full and I really like Nikki, she is patient and teaches you how to work with your pet. Bad- It's located right before a hill and they really need a turn lane for safety because it can be difficult and dangerous turning into and getting of this location. Ugly- The area for training gets so muddy in the winter and after it rains that it's hard to take the dogs out to practice their skills. read more

Christmas Miracle! We were staying with relatives for the holidays and needed a place to board but were pretty late in the game. Everywhere in town was booked up. BB&B said they could put me on a three page waiting list. I agreed with little hope. Four days before Christmas they called and said they had an opening. I was so relieved. Not only did my dog get to stay in a spacious room, she got to enjoy Doggie Day Care for the holidays. Other places just have cramped kennels, but BB&B has nice rooms and they really love your pet. Ask them for a tour and you'll see what a nice facility they have. read more

Pampered doggy day care- they take great care of the pets, get to know both the pet and owners on a personal level. The staff was super nice and helpful. My aunt takes her poodle there a few times a week and she has nothing but great things to say about them. read more

Took my dogs to be boarded for a wknd. They were in perfect health. I brought their food and beds. I paid extra for an upgraded "patio cabin". Total cost $200. After picking them up Sunday evening, Monday morning woke up to both dogs having severe diarrhea and vomiting. Called BB&B and was told that they kept a very sanitized facility and my dogs must have gotten something "airborne". The owner never spoke to me. Basically was treated like I was a liar and they took no responsibility. Went to the vet $223 and both dogs on meds and hardly eating/drinking. BE AWARE IF YOU LEAVE YOUR PETS HERE. read more

I have two bassets and one mutt. i trust BB&B with my pets completely. It's very apparent that the staff truly love pets. (I don't get this feeling at all the places I've dropped my various dogs off at throughout my life) The place is so well kept that you don't smell pet odors when you walk in. The boarding rooms are roomy and kept very clean for the dogs. Some are luxury suites with a TV, bigger room, and doggie door to go outside if you don't mind spending a little more. There are video cameras so that you can watch doggie daycare as it happens, which is absolutely adorable to watch a bunch of dogs play, jump, and roll around together. I recently switched my vet services to their place too since a vet practice moved into their building. (Dr. Tolles is awesome) It's nice to have all the pet services you need under one roof (bath, boarding, training, and vet). read more

I had boarded my Chihuahua here about 6 months ago and was very pleased with the staff and care of my baby. There is lots of outdoor fun activities & the indoor play area is very nicely supervised. Video cams and staff. Staff is very friendly & caring and their prices I felt were reasonable for the services. So today I get a phone call from "Dawn" who proceeds to tell me that they did not lie to me, that is my Labrador was bitten in the face that they probably did not notice it and just assumed that he had a scab on his face that fell off and needed treatment. I tried Bed Bath and Biscuit after my dog sitting plans during spring break fell through. I was skeptical, but pleasantly surprised as I drove up to the facility. The staff was very friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the animals. After a couple of days, I returned and my dogs seemed very happy. The pricing is very reasonable compared to other places I have taken them before. I may have to give up on the idea of petsitters because their boarding rates are comparable and they're fairly convenient to my home. Thanks for taking good care of my pets guys! read more

I have been taking my small dog to Bed Bath and Biscuit for over three years. She gets groomed about every 5-6 weeks. I made her an appointment for this morning at 9 a couple weeks ago. Yesterday I received a voice message confirming my appointment and telling me to bring in her Bordetella vaccination certificate. I got this message after I got home from work at 6 pm. I had not realized she needed the vaccinnation, it was just due 10 days ago. I went in this morning at 9 am and they asked for the report I told them I would go later to get her vaccinated and that I did not realize she needed it until last night. I always keep her updated on all her shots this one somehow had slipped by. The person at the front desk then turned me away. I could not believe she made us leave. The vaccination was only 10 days over due, I found out later that if a dog is as much as 6 months overdue for the Bordetella vaccination they are still immune to kennel cough. So there was not reason for her making us leave. Apparently she does not know what she is doing. My dog will never go to Bed Bath and Biscuit again. I still cannot believe they turned us away. They have lost a good client, that will never refer anyone to them again. read more

I needed obedience training for my dog and I had decided to attend the classes here because they are close to my house. I had previously had fantastic results at Petsmart but decided not to return there because my dog had grown so big that it was hard for me to maneuver her into the store. I was always afraid that she would get excited and knock down another customer. Bed bath and biscuit training classes cost more. The staff was rude and would rather you pay them $500 to drop off your dog and let them train. I was always excited to take my dog to petsmart but I felt nothing but anxiety when it took her to bed bath and biscuit. The instructor talked down to the customer. The first class you don't even bring your dog, she just talks about a dogs pack mentality. These people looked like they would rather be out back taking hits off of a joint , rather than teaching the class. Our class started with about 10 customers but by the 3rd class came around only about 5 or less showed. At the last class only 2 showed. It was a complete waste of time and money. The instructor made crude comments about public servants and religious leaders while my elementary age daughter was present in the class and my husbands occupation is that of a public servant. Never leave your dogs here. The first time our German Shepard, who has never even growled at another dog ended up with a cut above her eye and our shihtzu who is older was skiddish for a week. After two years we had to leave them here out of desperation because our usual spots were full and both dogs reek of pee and are terrified of everything. My two dachshunds had never been boarded before so I was anxious to leave them but this place was great! The staff were very welcoming and clearly loved dogs as much as I do. Even though my pups are rather difficult, they had no problems taking care of them. They even have private suites available for dogs who do better alone. This was a good place to leave our dog in the beginning. But, since we don't buy nail trim, bath, walks, playing or any of the 900 other options our dog is left to pee on her bed which ends up all over her. First few times we picked her up she was washed and so was bed. Suspicious. So we started picking her up a little earlier and sure enough covered in pee. I can tell you with absolute certainty they WILL NOT take good care of your dog. Maybe if you buy a bunch of extras they will. Don't know. Terrible place to leave your animal . TERRIBLE! read more

I used this doggie day care as a source that represented itself as top notch. NOT SO! I returned from a 5 day trip one day early. My pup was due to have a bath on pickup of day 5, but since I was a day early I did not mind as I was anxious to see her. This was the first time we have left her. When the girl handed her to me she smelled to high heaven. After taking her crate outside to put it my car I pulled the white sheepskin pad from the bottom and blanket and toy from inside crate. I nearly died, the pad had 2 huge stains of dried poop on the pad, which meant she had too lay in this night after night. Her blanket smelled of urine and her little white fur around her tail area reeked of the same. I couldn't wait to get her home and bath her and brush her. I felt like a heal for having put her there. I had been excites thinking this would be good for her but instead wonder now if I hadn't been a day early would the scenario been different? I will never know because she will never go there again. I urge you people to check in early on you animals! I paid $240.00 for heartache! Shame on you Bed Bath and Biscuit. read more

Our dog boarded with BB&B for the first time last week. During our initial contact with them it seemed like my husbands email with our dog's information was ignored because he was told to call because they needed more details. He did, and they proceeded to essentially ask for the same information just over the phone. Ok, not a big deal, perhaps they have a process to follow. You will have to provide shot records for them, our other dog care facility would call and get it for you. (We will be going back to them in the future.) So, day of drop off we provided individually portioned food by meal time, as well as treats (8). We picked her up, along with 7 treats. They obviously didn't follow our instructions, written on the back of her shot records, and reviewed with the person at drop off. So, the huge problem for us, is what else did they not do that we asked. We'll never know, but she's exhausted, out of sorts, and my husband and son (who wasn't happy about her not getting her treats) vowed she won't go back. read more
