‼‼We have been taking our dogs here for about 7 years. (OREO & Pucha) Unfortunately our older dogs passed but added a new addition 3 yrs ago.. Benji, we started taking him bc we loved Flora and the way she cuts hair. But within the last year or so we've always had a few RUDE encounters with said OWNER. Their booking systems looks like it needs updating as they just use a book to manually keep track and clearly it's not working anymore. I had an appt on 8/1 to bring my pet in.. I was sick, couldn't make it. Called and rescheduled. The lady who answered yelled out to flora "when is your next appt?" She replied and said "next week check the book".. proceeds to get back to me says next available is Monday 8/7. I accept and go on with my day. We'll later that day @ 4:49 pm (per my call log) Flora calls me and states that the girl over booked her, so she's moving dogs around to 8/8 to accommodate her. I accept and go on about my day. Well today is 8/8 & my husband calls to let them know I'm on my way but running a few mins behind bc I have a baby/ @ 8:30am. & they tell him we're not on the schedule. As you can tell I'm upset I'm on my way... Had to get my baby ready and out the door just to drop off our dog. Just for them to tell me that they won't accept him bc again "we're not on the books". My husband said they asked for ME to call back to speak to them. So I did.. I told them Flora called me personally to reschedule me on 8/1 @ 4:49 pm. He wouldn't let me speak to Flora bc she was busy.. I get that. & there was no getting through with him he just said "well you're not on the schedule" and said "flora said she didn't call you". Which that's what threw it over the top for me bc I have the call logs where SHE called ME to reschedule. Insinuating that I'm lying and that they only had me down for 8/1. Overall they could've handled this situation a lot better, made an exception since it was their screw up. It's not my fault I wasn't written down on the book. I was told one thing and they should've honored it. I'll end it with just saying they need to work on their customer service, especially being said owner he could've been more understanding and helpful to figure out what went wrong and why they had a slip up. I'm sure I'm not the only one who this has happened to. My advice to anyone reading this. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE where you're cared for you & your pet!!!! Seems like all they care about is getting dogs in and out. Nothing more. read more

Whatever they use to bathe the dogs is in absolutely amazing.. it lasts for well up to a week. Horrible customer service! Made appointment and was told to bring my dog the next morning. No specified time. Dropped dog off at 9:45. Got an earful and attitude from the female working inside as drop off time is between 7-9am. Obviously we didn't know as it wasn't mentioned at the time of booking. Almost two hours later got a call from the owner telling us they couldn't tend to my dog and that I needed to come back to pick up. I stated that I wouldn't be able to til the end of the day as we are both at work not to mention also under a severe tornado warning. Owner had the gall to say he was going to charge me for a boarding fee!!! REALLY. Very unprofessional. Place is gross. Employees are shady. And location didn't ask for vaccination records which I'm sure puts every animal there in jeopardy and is required by law. read more

dont take your dog here unless u want to leave them all day. This place doesn't take appointments. They only want to know how many dogs will be there that day, so they want u to let them know ahead of time. IT' IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVED but I brought my dog in at 8 am and was the second person there but my dog was not ready until late that day. NO WAY TO RUN A GROOMING BUSINESS. They may be a few bucks cheaper but its not worth it. The groomer didn't get the hair out of my dogs ears which is necessary with schnauzers. NEVER NEVER TAKE A SCHNAUZER THERE. G. A. read more

Today was our first time ever using the service. I was very happy with them. I called yesterday and got in this morning which to me is very rare. I dropped are poodle off at 8 and he was done at 12:30. Banda is a rescue which makes him very nervous with new people. The people inside we're great with him and made him feel very comfortable. When I picked him up he was happy and feeling very frisky. Plus, he looked great! We will definitely return when it's time for him to get another haircut and bath. The price is also reasonable and definitely doable!!! I definitely suggest giving this company to try when you need dog groomer. read more

Have been going there for a while. I really liked the older gal who took care of my dogs. Took them there this first week of April and my dog had issues...I took my dog back to show them the issues and the woman who worked on him started yelling at me that she wasn't responsible for those issues. Am having to take my dog to the vet tomorrow. It truly saddens me to write this. I have never never written a negative review, but felt so strongly about this that I felt that I had to write the truth. read more

I give K9 Design a one star because our dog had a nice haircut and nail trim. I will never take my dog there again. The groomer is rough and has no patience with the dogs. While waiting for the owner to bring my dog to me, I could hear her say "Get back up there! See! You almost fell! Now get up there and hold still!".She was speaking in a raised voice and was no doubt aggravated. The entire atmosphere was unpleasant. Like I said, my pup will no be returning to this place of "business". read more

Tracy has worked with us to get just the right cut for our Havanese. And Windy loves her! Ginger, our Golden, is prone to ear infections that are brought on by moisture inside her ears. We had the best experience today at this salon! Our schnauzer is very anxious and hostile when being groomed! He came in overgrown, with some matting, & he came out a whole new dog!! He was in & out in only 3 hours, he smelt amazing, & his groomer was very kind about his "issues" with grooming. We highly recommend K-9 Design after this experience & will definitely be coming back! Traveling in an RV we always have to take a chance on dog groomers. They spiffed our Gracie right up! Bath, nails, teeth, etc.etc. All in a timely manner. Still feeling silky & smelling good a week later! Will use them again next time we travel this way. read more

I've gone here 3 times now and the first 2 were great. We have a Bichon. I love the round head cut and had specified this. The last visit I asked for her body to be cut a little shorter because she got so scruffy so fast. When we picked her up she was cut like a poodle! Her face was cut close as well as her body. The only thing that looked Bichon was her tail. I called them to complain but the only thing to do is to wait until her hair grows longer again. Nice people, but I'm not sure how familiar they are with breed cuts. I'll be looking for a new groomer. read more

Beware if the groomer you take your dog to doesn't require shot records! K-9 Design did not care that I forgot to bring my shot records, I told them I could drop them off when I picked up my two dogs, they said it wasn't necessary. They did an ok job and the price was reasonable in comparison to other groomers, so I went back again, but this time when I picked them up, two schnauzers, the tips of both dogs ears were cut so close that they were thick, they obviously put something on to stop the bleeding, and were scabbed by the next day! Then I noticed that their skin was irritated and they were itching like crazy, this went on for a few days and they started losing hair and developed red blotches. I took them to my vet and they did a test for parasites, scabies. Ewwww!!! While the test is typically negative more than 70% of the time, and it was, and the fact that I had red bumps on my skin, they treated for scabies, and within a few days they were clearing up. THIS IS WHY YOU VACCINATE YOUR PETS AND BRING THEM TO A REPUTABLE GROOMER THAT DEMANDS THEIR SHOTS ARE UP TO DATE!!!!! Thank goodness they didn't get Kennel Cough there too. DO NOT bring your dogs to this place!!!! read more

The person who took my show quality mini schnauzer in did not listen well to my directions. I was not allowed to talk to a groomer. When I picked up my dog she did not have a schnauzer cut but all her hairs was gone. I expressly asked for a short skirt, a little off the legs and to shape up her beard but leave it long. Her beard was almost gone and she had very little hair on her legs left. She is a super coat dog so generally has leg hair about 3 inches long that is full and fluffy. They did not even clean her ears well. Do not take your dog here unless you want all the hair cut off...they can do that well. read more

I had called around and emailed about a particular haircut that i wanted for my two dogs. K-9 design promptly responded to my email and i decided to stop by to ask a few more questions and show them the dogs in person. They were so helpful and answered all of my questions. The team also said that i could groom the dogs same day if i wanted, which i did bc i appreciated the professionalism. The owner quoted me a price over email and when he saw the dogs in person has said that he would honor the price he quoted, but next time it would be $5 more! That is how you do business, i appreciated him setting the expectation for next time. My dogs were finished in about 4 1/2 hours smelled and looked great! When i saw my babies i could not me happier! This experience has been so pleasant and i love my dogs haircuts! The dogs were well taken care of and beautiful. The only reason i did not give 5 stars is bc i requested a teddy bear face on both dogs and one was shaved more like a poodle shape. The overall experience though was fantastic and i will be back! And i will never go to petsmart again for grooming! read more
