Bedford Boys Ranch is great place to just take a nice leisurely walk or enjoy the momma duck and hatchlings walking around.

Any time we tried to say something or ask a question, it felt strictly "all business" with zero fun or excitement, which is kind of the whole point of a rage room. They put all six of us into one small room, and I really wish they had split us up. It felt like we were constantly taking turns just to get a chance to smash anything, which took away from the experience. The room itself was very small, and the items provided to break were extremely limited. Honestly, thank goodness we paid extra for additional items, because otherwise there would have been almost nothing to smash. The guy who gave us the directions came off as rude, and it felt like we weren't allowed to ask any questions. This was not my first rage room experience -- I've been to one in Fort Worth, and that one was much more fun, better organized, and had a friendlier atmosphere. I won't be coming back here, and I won't be recommending it. I truly feel like I wasted my time and money, which is really disappointing, especially for a birthday outing.

Such an exhilarating experience! Highly recommend the rage room at Splatter & Smash!…read more The gentleman running the place is super friendly and explained the rules well. They provide sanitized coveralls, helmets, and gloves. It costs $35 per person for 20 minutes, which was just the right amount of time to smash everything we were given (glasses, plates, electronics). You can use bats or hammers and even write on the breakables with sharpies. You can also connect your phone to play your own music! TL;DR: Fun $35 rage room with friendly staff, sanitized gear, and plenty of time to smash stuff. You can even play your own music!

The biggest and only con to this waterpark are the majority of the female lifeguards. They are power tripping teenagers that will blow their whistle on any little thing once they find someone they don't like. Yet they will let their friends rough house and run and be in the kid area inappropriately. Specifically the female lifeguards that were on duty in the children's area or a big problem with big attitudes, the one sitting in the kids area by the lazy river with the longer hair picked on every single thing, including me trying to get my son who was nervous and scared in the lazy river out of the lazy river. She tried to tell me we had to go all the way around while he was freaking out, and I had another child in the play area. It's unfortunate these power tripping teenagers can ruin such a nice time. Otherwise, the facilities are perfect. I included a picture of us at the park. She kept looking at me even though we've done nothing wrong and it's honestly really bothersome. She literally let two kids run by real fast and jump when they weren't supposed to and she looked right at me and smirked. She left her post at 1:18. Again this facility is wonderful. I would give it five stars but because of lifeguards it gets less.

Not a whole lot of room for lawn chairs either but there are some vacant areas where you can put them and can still see. The very back seating on bleachers doesn't have a lot of space for your full body(tush) to be seated comfortably. If you have stadium chairs/cushions, come prepared with them. Even a blanket for added comfort. Concessions available, like most fields. I noticed the grill for burgers outside of the concession but not sure how those taste. They smelled good.

So I've had a couple very different experiences with the Generations park at boys ranch ... Aka as…read morethe city's partnership with YMCA that combined the YMCA that had been on Central with Boys Ranch which was a city park with small water park/pool area. Which also acts as the city's rec center. There was concerns ahead of time about the city paying to build the facility for the YMCA to take it over; but the way I think it works out is that it still belongs to the city, but YMCA manages it so they are responsible for staffing, pay, etc. As a getting in to the different parts of the place ... if you are coming for the parks I recommend coming from Fossil Ridge. You can get to the pool & gym from here but you'll be taking a very winding path from the. The entrance takes you easily to the two parks on the grounds. If you are coming to swim or use the gym there is an easier entrance to the buildings parking lot from what I think is McClain road. Coming from Harwood that's the light for the road right next to the post office. My first experience was coming up to take a tour. The staff up front was extremely helpful and friendly and the facilities look amazing. I was pretty much ready to sign up but life happened and we hadn't picked back up the paperwork prior to the birthday party we just went too. My second experience was a phone call; again staff was helpful.... I was calling to see how we'd go about booking a room for a party but not a swimming party ... kinda think more of like for a baby shower or 1st birthday. They were helpful on the phone, and the price per hour was amazing for what we needed, but the system to book something like that was we needed to email one particular person and you MIGHT hear back and you might not. Not something that you need when trying to book something of the nature. When compared to another local rec center that has that all available on their website to book without need of calling or emailing. My most recent experience was a pool birthday for one of my kids friends. There was no real check in system, we walked in with two other families from school and the birthday kiddos sibling came up to walk us back to the room. The party host wasn't very attentive; we only saw him two or three times in the 2 little more than 2 hours my kiddo & I had been there. It took 10 minutes into the party for us to find out our kids needed wristbands, not counting the time the party parents had already been there; which all of the kids there had already been in the pool for that whole time. The wristbands were in boxes on top of a random shelf so wasn't obvious to us at all. The dad of the birthday kid had to make 4 trips back and forth to bring things in and was only told about carts they had for parents to use when leaving. The parents said they went to an area a few times to try to track the host down but never could find him. Lucky the party went off with little to no issue and the parents said the price is outstanding. The indoor pool area is great that you can see everything from most points so it's easy to keep track of kids. They have two big slides which the kids liked. Lots of life guards, and all the areas we had been in was well maintained. The one major change on upkeep is they need more mats in the party room. They had one mat at the door but the tile floor in the party room quickly became hazardous with as many wet kids walking in & out as we did. Even with the kids walking in with towels on them. Luckily some folks had brought extra towels which helped ... but with the MIA party host we would have been out of luck with a number of slipping and sliding kids if we didn't have the spare towels. Hopefully they can get some of the kinks worked out from being new.

She's literally driving this place directly into the ground and doesn't even care. They don't even care. They just have our children sit there on the floor staring at walls from seven until 830 every morning. They haven't been feeding them breakfast And they didn't tell any of the parents that we weren't allowed to bring meals to heat up until after the fact, I found out at 6 PM that my daughter had not eaten all day and they didn't even bother to call me or offer her a different lunch even though they have different options there. Alexis went out of her way to be rude to my daughter on several different occasions Being mean and belittling her and gaslighting her. I don't understand how her and Andrew are in charge of this program. Miss Dez did a wonderful job and we truly miss her. It's unfortunate that she had to leave. Of course since we were upset about this whole situation and they decided to go ahead and kick my daughter out instead of you taking responsibility for their actions because that's just what they do. I think that we had every right to be upset because our daughter didn't eat from the time she got there until I picked her up at 6 PM, even though she had food and she had to watch other people eat around her and then of course she had a little bit of a rough day because she's hungry, but that doesn't matter they just don't understand what her problem is. It seems like anytime anybody is a little problematic. They don't know how to handle it. They said they have training, but I don't understand what they actually train them to do. I mean, maybe CPR and that's wonderful but there's definitely a lot more. They need to learn here. I also find it very shitty that I was told Friday that maybe you know we weren't a good fit anymore because they didn't see my daughter and wanted to let her sit there and stare at walls for two hours a day or starving her all day and that maybe I need to find something else that it was my decision and I was like you know she really likes it there except for these couple things maybe we could just work on this and instead I get a partial refund and kicked out this morning no warning. Thanks a lot The Link.
